CD 1704 Position - Purpose - Power(March 2, 2025 P.M. Service)As we touched on lightly this morning, In this life that has been given to us by our Creator the Lord God Almighty we have a vacuum on the inside of us. We were created with that vacuum in order that we would hunger and desire for something greater than ourselves. If we do not seek the Lord, then the devil will come and fill that vacuum. You cannot stay neutral, you will either be full of the Lord or full of the devil. We will talk more about this vacuum in a future service. This evening we're going to learn about our position in Christ which reveals our purpose in Christ and helps us to receive the power from Christ to live his life through us! *Text: 2 Timothy 1:1-10 (KJV) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:Praise God He as our Father has given us His Grace through Jesus Christ from the foundation of this earth age! He saves us and calls us into His Holy calling, all by His grace! Speaking of salvation “position”:#1 Position*Read Luke 15:24 (KJV) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.*Read Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Now see verse 6:*Read Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:Where is Jesus seated?*Read Colossians 3:1-3 (KJV) Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.We are seated on the right hand of power in Christ Jesus. So our “position” is not in question, rather our “position” is absolute in Christ Jesus! When we understand where we're living and operating from then it brings us to our second point our “purpose”:#2 PurposeSo I have a “purpose”? You mean there is more to this life than just getting by?How can I find my “purpose”?*Read Psalm 119:105 (KJV) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Support the show

The Stich #RTTBROS #Nightlight The Stich In Time "The prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished." - Proverbs 22:3 (KJV) There's an old saying that goes, "A stitch in time saves nine." This timeless wisdom reminds us that a small effort made early can prevent a much larger problem later. In our spiritual lives, this principle holds profound truth and can guide us toward a path of righteousness and peace. Consider the struggles of those battling addiction. While God's grace is powerful enough to deliver anyone from the clutches of alcoholism or drug dependency, the journey to recovery is often long and arduous. It requires immense discipline and leaves in its wake a trail of damaged relationships, compromised health, and spiritual wounds that need healing. Now, imagine if we applied the "stitch in time" thinking to our spiritual lives. By putting in the effort early to resist temptation and avoid harmful habits, we spare ourselves from the devastating consequences that come with addictions. It's far easier to never start drinking or experimenting with drugs than it is to overcome addiction once it has taken root. This principle extends beyond addiction to all areas of our spiritual walk. When we notice a small tear in the fabric of our faith – be it a white lie, a moment of gossip, or a hint of pride – it's wise to address it immediately. By doing so, we prevent that small rip from becoming a gaping hole that requires extensive mending. The Apostle Paul understood this concept well when he wrote: "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway." - 1 Corinthians 9:27 (KJV) Paul recognized the importance of constant vigilance and self-discipline in maintaining his spiritual health. He didn't wait for major issues to arise but worked proactively to keep his body and spirit in check. As we navigate our daily lives, let's remember the value of early, consistent effort in our spiritual journey. A few minutes of prayer each morning, regular Bible study, and intentional acts of kindness can fortify our spirits against the storms of life. These small "stitches" in the fabric of our faith can save us from the need for major spiritual repairs down the road. Let us be like the prudent man in Proverbs, foreseeing potential pitfalls and taking steps to avoid them. By doing so, we not only save ourselves from future hardships but also set an example for others, showing them the beauty and wisdom of a life lived in close communion with God. Remember, it's not about perfection, but about progress. Each small step taken in faith, each temptation resisted, and each moment spent in God's presence is a stitch that strengthens the tapestry of our spiritual lives. May we have the wisdom to act early, the courage to be consistent, and the faith to trust in God's guidance as we walk the prudent path. https://linktr.ee/rttbros Be sure to Like, Share, Follow and subscribe it helps get the word out. https://linktr.ee/rttbros

Animal expert and autism advocate Temple Grandin has a theory. She claims, that at some point, mother cats teach kittens how to descend from a tree—just as they teach their young a great many other things that were once thought to be innate cat behavior, including how to hunt, bury their waste, deal with live prey, approach an unknown person or dog, and so forth.Cats that get stuck in trees, the theory goes, are cats that were taken from their mothers before the lesson about getting out of trees could be taught. That is just a theory, but we do know from scientific studies that a great deal of animal behavior is learned behavior. It's not just instinctual. Scientific studies have been done on all kinds of animals—tigers, wolves, cheetahs, birds, lizards, fish, and even ants— and those studies show that animals learn how to be a particular kind of animal by watching, observing, and imitating their mothers, fathers, or other members of their animal group. They lear n by imitation. In the same way, we learn how to follow Jesus by watching and imitating other followers of Jesus.

Know ChristBy Tammy Lacock This week, Warren dissects Romans Chapter 6 by breaking down the revelation knowledge given to Paul, and only Paul, by the Holy Spirit. As believers in Christ, in order for us to understand this revelation knowledge shared through Paul, we must first understand who we are now. By just believing in Christ, a radical change took place within our spirits. The Holy Spirit literally uprooted the Satan nature within us, passed down by the curse of Adam through Satan, and replaced it with Christ. By Him, we are brand new creations, joined to Him making us one spirit. This is what it means to be born again. God no longer sees us; He sees Christ, making us His bona fide sons and daughters. “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:17). “For by one Spirit [Holy Spirit] are we all baptized into one body [Christ], whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV)Paul speaks to us as if we know who we are now in Christ and we understand the radical change that took place within us. And it's in knowing who we are now that helps bring us from a believing mindset to a knowing mindset that Paul speaks of. Paul reveals to us four areas of “knowing” in Romans Chapter 6 that can help us transition from a believing mindset to a knowing mindset. He helps us to understand that with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, we as believers, share in His death, burial, and resurrection. We died on the cross too; our old lives are completely dead and buried. And now, we have arisen with Christ to a brand-new life in Him. We are dead and by Him; He is now our new life, the very life within us. We are freed from the bondage of law, sin, and death. The greatest superhero of all lives right inside of us now. It is by this revelation knowledge of being now complete in Christ, knowing Him in a unique and personal way, and falling in love with Him in us that we can finally and freely live out our lives true to who God created us to be.

The Final Gospel From The Beginning By Tammy Lacock “Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began.” (Romans 16:25 KJV)This week, Warren Litzman focuses on Romans 16:25 to demonstrate the intimate relationship between Jesus and Paul. Where Christ left off, He commissioned Paul to pick up and give us a new gospel, the true and final gospel for believers today. Paul tells us his gospel, although new to us, was actually God's original gospel kept hidden since the world began. Christ finally revealed this “mystery” gospel to Paul, and Paul shares it with us throughout his epistles. “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4 KJV)Paul's gospel is this: Every single human being was chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. As believers, by Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, we too have died to our old lives—our sin natures passed down through Adam by the curse of Satan. We have also been buried, and we arose with Christ to a brand-new life in Him. Our new life is Christ now living in every believer, literally. We are joined to Him in our spirits (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are in Him and He in us, never to leave us nor forsake us.Christ chose Paul to deliver this final gospel because He knew Paul was the only man who had what it takes to step into the religious, law-bound world and preach grace. The problem Paul dealt with during his time, and is still a problem today in the church, is that there was a commingling of gospels. He tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15 (and to Israel in Hebrews 4:12) that we must rightly divide the word of truth. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV)Here, Paul is saying we must rightly divide God's Word by separating the gospels. The Kingdom gospel—salvation by law and works, preached by Christ while on earth and continued through the preaching of His disciples—is no longer the gospel. The first Pentecostal church received the Holy Spirit but retained Judaic law as its method of worship. They had no understanding of what really happened at the cross. Christ, Himself, led Paul to go and preach a new gospel, that of salvation by God's grace through His Son Jesus Christ. There was to be no commingling of grace and law. He makes it very clear that we are no longer saved by our works. We are saved by grace alone. Israel rejected this gospel, and so Christ told Paul to take it to the Gentiles—that is everyone else—where it was widely accepted. By just believing in Christ as our Savior we are saved. The early church led by Peter and the disciples wrestled with Paul's gospel because they knew Christ in the flesh, and they knew what He had told them to do, to go forward and preach that anyone who believes in Christ as their Savior is saved. Yet they commingled grace and law by preaching that one must obey the law to remain saved. The relationship between Jesus and Paul is a glorious love affair, for which Paul gladly suffered unto death. Nothing and no one could stand in the way of his desire to spread the gospel of grace given to him by Christ Himself. He wanted nothing more than for everyone to know Christ and to fall in love with Him too.

Paul, The Apostle To The GentilesBy Tammy Lacock “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)." (Ephesians 3:1-4 KJV) In this week's podcast, Warren Litzman focuses on the Apostle Paul's mission, that of sharing his “knowledge in the mystery of Christ” to us, the Gentiles. The “mystery of Christ” revealed to Paul, and now to us, is Christ literally living in every believer. Paul was raised up by Christ, Himself, to deliver this knowledge to the world. He “suffered the loss” of all he was before his conversion and “counted it but dung” (Philippians 3:8) compared to this knowledge of Christ. He knew he was a “brand-new creation” in Christ, born again into a new life with Him. His gospel tells us how to live now with Christ as our new life. Paul took this gospel to his fellow Jews, and they rejected it. Therefore, Christ told him to share it with the Gentiles, with whom it was well-received. The Jews rejected Paul's message because by believing they would be giving up their old identities, their traditions, and laws that ruled their lives. Paul's message was of God's grace, that being saved has nothing to do with law and works and everything to do with Christ alive in us and through us. This is how the Church, the one Body of Christ, began. Christ living in us makes us Christ-persons, or Christians, the term first used in Acts 11:26. Warren explains the history of Israel, that God set aside a group of people through Abraham that would live in a close relationship with Him. God wasn't dealing with anyone else on earth through the generations up until Christ. His purpose for them was to test their love for Him, that they would love Him more than they loved themselves. He empowered them and performed countless miracles for them; yet, they consistently rebelled and doubted Him. God knew there was no hope for them, so He promised them He would send a Redeemer. When Jesus came to earth and dwelt among them, He told them the Kingdom of God was at hand and a new kingdom will be established on earth. He cast out devils and performed countless miracles. He was the Redeemer they longed for; yet they still rebelled, doubted, and “received Him not.” “He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:11-13 KJV) Christ's death and resurrection ushered in a new covenant with God, that anyone who believes will be saved from the bondage of sin and this world. What takes place when we believe is the great mystery revealed to Paul from Christ directly. The sin-nature passed down through Adam by the curse of Satan is replaced by Christ's nature. By God's grace, we are made complete by His birthing of Christ's seed in us. This is what it means to be born again. Christ is our new life; and because of Him, we are now bona-fide children of God. It's Christ's righteousness in us that God sees now. In this new life, Paul explains how to go about living with Christ as our new identity. He tells us that by the help of the Holy Spirit, our minds constantly need renewing so that we will know this Christ, that is now living in us, joined to us in one spirit (1 Corinthians 6:17). With this continual mind-change, we can now make choices that reflect our knowledge and love of Him, our new life. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Roman's 12:2 KJV) Paul tells us in Ephesians 3:1 that he is the Apostle to the Gentiles....

Saved from the Inside By Tammy Lacock “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:27, KJV) “But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood.” (Galatians 1:1–16, KJV) In this week's podcast, Warren Litzman explains how Paul, the Apostle of Grace, is the only writer in the Bible who reveals God's final gospel to humanity. This final gospel, what Paul calls the “mystery” is revealed to us throughout his epistles. His gospel is grace, God's grace. Paul tells us we are currently living in the Dispensation of Grace. “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ).” (Ephesians 3:2-4, KJV) And by His grace, we need only to believe in Jesus Christ to be recipients of this great mystery. The mystery is revealed to us over 146 times throughout Paul's and John's writings. The mystery is this: Christ literally living in believers. We are no longer subject to our satanic sin-nature passed down by the curse of Adam. We are no longer bound by this world and the law. Paul tells us it's time to move from law to grace. By Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, we moved into grace. When Christ died, we died too. When He arose, we too arose to a new life in Him. Our old lives died. We are born again by Christ's seed now planted in every believer. We are brand-new creations by His unrelenting, amazing Grace. “Jesus answered and said unto him (Nicodemus), verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3, KJV) Paul tells us we are literally saved from the inside. He knew Christ lived in him, and he knew Christ in Spirit more than anyone else in the Bible. He tells us that by the Cross, there's no longer a need for us to be saved by our outer works. Christ did the work on the cross and by His death, burial, and resurrection, we now have His very life in us. This is the mystery. This is what it means to be born again. No other writer — except John in his later years and after 30 years of getting ahold of Paul's writings — tells us of the great mystery of being born again in Christ. The law was so strong in the disciples and other writers that they never preached the cross and God's grace given to us by the cross. In fact, in the 2,000+ years since, the churches haven't caught on to Paul's gospel of grace. We need to understand, by the Holy Spirit renewing our minds, that God no longer accepts us by what we do or don't do. He sees Christ in us, our new life. Paul was the only one raised up by Christ, Himself, to reveal to us the mystery of Christ now living IN us. And he tells us, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1). NOW is the time to spread this final gospel of God's grace to humanity. Simply put, it's an inside job!

“That I May Know Him”By Tammy Lacock “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” (Philippians 3:10) Warren Litzman digs deeper into Apostle Paul's words, “the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord” (in Philippians 3:8). Paul makes it clear Christ is very literally his life now. His old life doesn't matter anymore. In fact, he counted his old life but “dung,” worthless, compared to knowing Christ. All he wants now is to be found in Him, not having his own life anymore, but living by the life of the One who is Life. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 KJV) Paul says many times in his 14 letters that he no longer lives by his own righteousness or even by his own faith (Romans 3:22; Galatians 2:16, 20; Galatians 3:21, to name a few). It's the righteousness and faith of Christ that lives in and through him. There's nothing we can do or not do to make us more pleasing to God. Christ did the work on the cross and Christ is our redemption. He is our new life and knowing Him in this way was all that Paul wanted. Paul goes on even deeper to say in Philippians 3:10 that he wants to know Christ in all ways, in His sufferings, His death, and His resurrection. For he knew that when Christ died, we died too, our old lives buried with Him. In His resurrection, we arose with Him to our new life in Him. He wanted to know all about this, and Paul knew the only way was by getting to know Christ, the very life that now lives in him. He knew that this knowledge of Christ in Him would require a radical mind change. Indeed, Christ revealed this to Paul first and Paul turned around and revealed it to us. He was the first human to know the inward life of Christ. No doubt, Paul's in-Christ teaching in Antioch lead to the first time believers were called Christians (Christ-persons). In his epistles, Paul emphasizes knowing and living Christ. This most excellent knowledge is given by the power of the Holy Spirit; our minds can be renewed as we continue to understand and know Christ, the Christ that now occupies our very spirits. “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Corinthians 5:16 KJV) Warren reminds us, through Paul's epistles, that we will never really know who we are until we know Christ. If we don't know the One who now lives in us, then we will never know ourselves. Christ came to complete us. We were chosen in him before the foundation of the world. “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4 KJV) In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul urges Christians, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” So that we, too, may know Christ as Paul did, here and now.

“My Gospel” By Tammy Lacock Warren Litzman continues to explores what the Apostle Paul means in 2 Timothy 2 verse 8 when he says “my gospel,” which he states many times throughout his epistles. Paul's gospel is a new gospel, the final gospel for this dispensation of grace which is from the Cross until now. Paul's gospel is to us now. Paul's gospel is this: At the Cross, Christ's death and resurrection changed God's way of dealing with human beings from outer works to an inner relationship with Him through His Son Jesus Christ. As believers in Him, Christ resides IN us; there's no separation. Our old lives died with Him at the Cross and we too arose to a new life in Him. Our relationship with Christ is unique to each of us because we are growing up in Him now in a personal way. This is why Paul called it “my gospel” because Christ revealed it personally to him. Paul says in Romans 5:10 to “Follow me as I follow Christ”; and in Ephesians 3:2, he says, “If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God given me to you-ward.” Throughout his epistles, Paul is sharing with us his personal revelation from Christ through the Holy Spirit and asks us to listen, to follow him and we, too, will receive this revelation. A personal relationship with Christ here and now. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20 KJV) Paul is the only writer in the Bible whose gospel talks about the Cross and what took place at the Cross for believers. We know longer know Christ in the flesh. We know Him in Spirit as we are now joined to Him in one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV). Again, Paul's gospel is a personal gospel. In verse 9, Paul says his gospel, the Word of God he received directly from Christ, cannot be bound. Even though he is chained up in jail and considered an evil doer by his opponents, he continues to spread the revelation of Christ in him to Timothy and to all the churches. Christ is his Life now and Christ is all that matters to him. May we follow Paul and let Christ be our only Life, our final gospel, too.

Death by Sin By Tammy Lacock “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passes upon all men, for all that have sinned.” (Rom. 5:12 KJV) Paul explains in Romans 5:12 that sin entered the world by one man, and by that one man's sin, death passed upon all men and all men are now sinners. All men. From Adam on down. Death by sin is separation from God, cast out of the garden. So too are we, down through the generations, separated from God by sin. The great news is Christ conquered sin and death by His death and resurrection on the cross. By God's Grace, Christ is the one man by whom we are saved from death by sin, no longer to be separated from our Heavenly Father. Christ bore all of our sin (past, present and future) in His body and when He died, our sins died. In fact, our old lives died too. Death by sin. As believers in Christ as our Savior from death, however, we are no longer slaves to sin and we arise to a new life, an eternal life, with Christ. Christ is in forever. This is God's plan from the beginning (Eph 1:4). Christ in every believer, joined together in one Spirit. With Christ as our new life, we now stand righteous before God. No longer do we have to live a life of sin. We now know that we are children of the most high God, being called back into His Heavenly Kingdom.

Whether it is translated dignified, respectable, or even grave (as in the KJV) - Paul is encouraging Timothy to be a godly person in his ministry. More than that, he wants Timothy to teach all the others in the church in Ephesus to live lives of godliness. What does that look like? What doesn't it look like? Let's dive into the 1st letter to Timothy to find how all the teachings it contains center around this desire to live the godly lives Christ called his believers to.

Following Paul TogetherBy Tammy Lacock “Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an example” (Phil. 3:17, KJV) Paul emphasizes in 11 verses in his epistles to be followers of him, as he is also a follower of Christ. In the above verse, he adds the word “together” urging fellow believers to get together in lifting Christ up, the Christ that now lives IN us. He urges us to come together to spread this revelation, which was directly given to him, and only him, by Christ Himself. It is this message that has been missed by so many believers since the birth of Christianity, and yet our new life IN Christ has been revealed to us by Paul in over 146 verses in his epistles and also John's writings (which came after Paul). Under the jurisdiction of Christ, Paul started true Christianity, revealing to us that Christianity means only one thing: Christ is IN the believer, being joined to our Lord, we are but one spirit. And he goes on to teach us how we are to live with Christ in us as our new life.  Let us come together, be followers of Paul, and spread this Final Gospel to all the world!!

JOHN 16:7 NKJV [Jesus said] Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to YOUR ADVANTAGE that I go away; for if I do not go away, the HELPER (Comforter, Counselor, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, and Standby) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14 MSG The amazing grace of the Master, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the INTIMATE FRIENDSHIP of the HOLY SPIRIT, be with all of you.   DESIRE FOR HIM 1 CORINTHIANS 12:1, 31 NKJV Now concerning SPIRITUAL [gifts] (things pertaining to and of the Holy Spirit), brethren, I do not want you to be IGNORANT: ... 31 But EARNESTLY DESIRE the best gifts… 1 CORINTHIANS 14:39-40 NKJV Therefore, brethren, DESIRE EARNESTLY to prophesy, and DO NOT FORBID to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order. EARNESTLY DESIRE (covet) comes from the Greek word root ZELOS which means to be ZEALOUS or have warmth of feeling towards.  It is an intense desire! Here it refers to a positive energy pocket.   THE HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN The primary work of the Holy Spirit WITHIN YOU is to SUPPORT you in your own personal life; guidance, joys, peace, refreshment, help, counsel, comfort, etc. JOHN 14:16-17 KJV [Jesus said] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;  17 … for he dwelleth with you, and SHALL BE IN YOU. 2 CORINTHIANS 6:16 KJV [Paul said] …as God hath said, I WILL DWELL IN THEM, and WALK IN THEM; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 1 JOHN 4:4 KJV [John said] … greater is HE that is IN YOU, than he that is in the world.   THE HOLY SPIRIT UPON The primary work of the Holy Spirit UPON YOU is to EMPOWER you in WITNESSING Christ to your network of relationships. One of the most provocative, profound and heart-hitting statements used in Scripture about the Holy Spirit is “baptized with the Holy Spirit.”  ACTS 1:4-5 NKJV And being assembled together with them, (Jesus) He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the PROMISE of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me;  5 for John truly BAPTIZED with water, but you shall be BAPTIZED with the Holy Spirit not many days from now."   MATTHEW 3:11-12 NIV (John the Baptist said) I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will BAPTIZE you with the HOLY SPIRIT and with FIRE. ACTS 2:1-4 KJV And when the DAY OF PENTECOST was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it SAT UPON each of them. 4 And they were all FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT, and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE.  Here we have another expression, “FILLED with the Holy Spirit,” used synonymously with “BAPTIZED with the Holy Spirit.”  ACTS 10:44-46 NKJV While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit FELL upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been POURED OUT on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Peter himself describing this experience in Jerusalem, told the story in this way… ACTS 11:15-17 NKJV And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit FELL UPON them, AS UPON US at the beginning. 16 Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be BAPTIZED with the Holy Spirit.'  17 If therefore God gave them the SAME GIFT as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?" Here Peter distinctly called the experience which came to Cornelius and his household, being “BAPTIZED with the Holy Spirit.”  Thus we see that these expressions are all synonymous. “…FILLED with the Holy Spirit…” (ACTS 2:4) “…the Holy Spirit FELL…” (ACTS 10:44) “…BAPTISM with the Holy Spirit…” (ACTS 11:16) “ …God gave them the SAME GIFT…” (ACTS 11:17) Other expressions are also used to describe this blessing, such as … “…RECEIVE the Holy Spirit…” (ACTS 2:38; 19:2-3), “…the Holy Spirit CAME UPON them…” (ACTS 19:2-6) “…the GIFT of the Holy Spirit…” (HEB 2:4; 1 COR 12:4, 11, 13) “I send THE PROMISE of my Father upon you…” (LUKE 24:49; ACTS 1:4) And “CLOTHED WITH POWER from on high…” (LUKE 24:49)   BENEFITS OF “TONGUES” It is a distinct communication with God Insightful praying about God’s plan for life Builds up, sharpens and edifies the inner life Expands worship to God Stimulates faith Along with several more spiritual benefits.   HOW TO ACTIVATE Genuinely desire all that the Holy Spirit is (no prejudice). Ask God for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and all His gifts. Take steps of faith to encounter Him (like you see in Scripture).

Intercession Spirit of Love Intercession perfected in Christ's Office and in the Church is our highest example. Jesus' intercessions for His disciples and for His crucifers are recorded and the sacred record rises to the highest pinnacle in the prayer of, (Jn. 17). In this prayer the following characteristics are to be found: The prayer is based upon the intimate relation of Jesus to the Father. This prayer follows the complete fulfillment of duty.  • Not the mere expression of desire, even for others but is the crown of effort on their behalf. • Jesus has revealed God to His disciples and given to them God's words; therefore He prays for them, (Jn. 17:6-7-9). Many in Church today are also sitting in this same fallen condition and have left the foundations of the Gospel, Jesus being Savior and very God in the Flesh. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not,@  (Jn. 1:1-5).
