Godly Self-Esteem: Seeing Yourself Through God's Eyes • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.toddcoconato.com/give “Godly Self-Esteem: Seeing Yourself Through God's Eyes” Message of Hope, Identity, and Purpose In today's world, many struggle with self-esteem due to comparison, trauma, rejection, and lies from the enemy. But our self-worth should never be based on others' opinions or our past. Instead, it must be rooted in how God sees us. You are not an accident—you were created on purpose, with purpose. Let's explore 10 powerful scriptures from the New King James Version that speak life into our identity and self-worth. 1. Psalm 139:13–14 (NKJV) “For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” 2. Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” 3. Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” 4. Romans 8:1 (NKJV) “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” 5. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” 6. Song of Solomon 4:7 (NKJV) “You are all fair, my love, And there is no spot in you.” 7. Isaiah 43:4 (NKJV) “Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you…” 8. Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” 9. 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…” 10. Romans 8:38–39 (NKJV) “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life… nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Self-esteem in the world often swings with performance, appearance, or approval. But godly self-esteem is anchored in unchanging truth: You are who God says you are. You are loved, chosen, valuable, and created for a purpose. Let these truths renew your mind and empower you to walk boldly in your identity. CCLI: 21943673

Honoring Others: The Mark of A Disciple A good, basic definition of honor—especially in a biblical and discipleship context—is: Honor is the act of recognizing and treating others with the dignity, value, and respect they deserve as image-bearers of God, regardless of their status or behavior. To honor someone means to esteem them highly, to give weight to their worth, and to treat them in a way that reflects God's view of them—not just your personal opinion. 1. Contact the radio station or leave a review on your favorite app. We want to hear from you! ### 1. Stewardship of our Time: “Redeeming the Time” Passage: Ephesians 5:15–17 (NKJV) “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Principle: Every minute is a gift. We must “buy back” each hour from distractions by aligning our schedules with God's priorities—especially the Great Commission. ### 2. Wisdom in Planning: “The Plans of the Diligent” Passage: Proverbs 21:5 (NKJV) “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, to poverty.” Principle: Thoughtful, prayerful planning prevents wasted time and creates margin for gospel opportunities (e.g., inviting neighbors, mentoring new believers). ### 3. Counting Our Days: “Teach Us to Number Our Days” Passage: Psalm 90:12 (NKJV) “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Principle: An eternal-perspective reminder that life is brief. When we internalize our limited hours, we'll prioritize what lasts—making disciples. ### 4. Purposeful Living: “Doing All to the Glory of God” Passage: 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Principle: Every task—work, rest, family time, evangelism—should be offered as worship. That reshapes even “routine” minutes into Kingdom service. ### 5. Prioritizing Prayer & Communion: “Jesus Prayed Early” Passage: Mark 1:35 (NKJV) “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” Principle: Jesus structured His day around communion with the Father—our ultimate source of wisdom for time management and disciple-making. ### 6. Eternal Urgency: “For What Is Your Life?” Passage: James 4:14 (NKJV) “Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” Principle: The fleetingness of life compels urgent obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20). ### 7. Single-Mindfulness: “Deny Yourself” Passage: Luke 9:23–24 (NKJV) “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.” Principle: Self-discipline in scheduling (saying “no” to lesser things) frees us to “lose” our lives in service—especially in making disciples. ### 8. Balance Work & Rest: “Six Days You Shall Labor…” Passage: Exodus 20:8–10,12 (NKJV) “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy…6 for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth…12 ‘Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long…'” Principle: Biblical sabbath—and honoring family—establish healthy rhythms that prevent burnout and protect time for disciple-care. ###9. Investing in Others: “Do Not Steal” (as Stealing Time) Passage: Ephesians 4:28 (NKJV) “Let him who stole steal no longer… but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need.” Principle: Our work (and your time!) isn't just for self—but for generosity. Freeing up “spare” hours to invest in new believers. ### 10. The Great Commission as First Priority Passage: Matthew 28:19–20 (NKJV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always…” Principle: Every time-management decision must be filtered through: “Will this help me obey Jesus's command to make disciples?” **(00:00) END PART 1** **(27:00 – 5:00) BEGIN PART 2** ### Part 2: Practical Advice for Using Time to Be and Make Disciples ### 1. Begin with a Paradigm Shift: Time is Kingdom Currency  • Time is not just something we “spend”; it's something we invest. Just like money, time can be stewarded for temporary or eternal purposes.  • Regularly ask: “Is this activity helping me know Jesus more deeply or helping someone else follow Him better?” “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time…” (Ephesians 5:15–16) ### 2. Build Life Around Jesus's Priorities, Not Just Adding Him In  • Many busy Christians are trying to fit Jesus into their schedule instead of building their schedule around Him.  • Suggest starting with these 3 buckets and planning around them:  • Time with God (Being a disciple) – prayer, Scripture, Sabbath, silence.  • Time with others (Making disciples) – intentional meals, mentoring, small groups.  • Time on mission (Living sent) – workplace witness, neighborhood engagement, volunteering. ### 3. Combine Your Calling With Your Calendar Help them redeem ordinary rhythms by integrating disciple-making into:  • Meals – “Who can you eat with this week that needs encouragement or the gospel?”  • Commutes – Use it for prayer, audio Bibles, check-in calls with mentees.  • Family time – Lead short devotionals, model hospitality, include kids in ministry moments.  • Work breaks – Strategic encouragement or follow-up with someone God's placed nearby. “Disciple-making doesn't always need new time blocks—it often needs intentionality in existing ones.” ### 4. Create a Disciple-Making Weekly Rhythm Encourage a simple rhythm:  • Daily: Time with God, open eyes to opportunities.  • Weekly: 1 relational touchpoint (e.g., coffee, call, prayer walk).  • Monthly: One deeper investment (e.g., mentoring conversation, service together).  • Quarterly: Retreat or reevaluation—Am I growing? Is anyone growing because of me? ### 5. Say No to Say Yes Help them see that every “yes” is a “no” to something else.  • Challenge: “What are you doing that someone else could do, so you can do what only you can do?”  • Sometimes the most spiritual thing they can do is decline a good thing for the sake of the best thing (Luke 10:41–42 – “Martha, Martha…”). ### 6. Use Tools with Intentionality  • Calendar: Block time for people, not just tasks.  • Alarms/reminders: Prompt prayer, Scripture, check-ins.  • Apps: Bible apps, group chats for discipleship groups, accountability tools.  • Notebooks or journals: Record prayers, disciple progress, insights from Scripture. ### 7. Don't Go Alone—Form a Band of Disciple-Makers  • Encourage small discipleship bands of 2–4 people with shared goals and check-ins.  • Ask: “Who's helping you follow Jesus better? Who are you helping?”  • This builds encouragement, accountability, and shared momentum. ### 8. Encouragement: Grace Over Guilt, Progress Over Perfection  • Remind them that they are not earning God's favor by being busy for Him.  • Jesus is not measuring productivity; He's forming people.  • Celebrate small, faithful steps. Even 5 minutes of prayer for someone is eternally significant.  • God multiplies what we surrender, even if it's small (loaves and fish principle). “You may feel behind, but Jesus is not. He's patient, and He delights in every act of love in His name.” ### Challenge  • “Imagine if every one of us made just one disciple this year.”  • write one name they'll pray for or pursue this month.  • You don't need more time—you need more focus and faith. **(5:00 – 1:00)**  Doctrine Today Jesus and His Present Ministry The Holy Spirit's Role in Disciple Making. Dispensational Baptist view of the End Times Understanding Theology is Important The Gospel and Ongoing Disciple Making Church Role in Discerning God's Will Barriers to Disciple Making Spiritual Warfare Jesus – Incarnation God's Sovereignty Sin and the Call to Make Disciples I. Introduction: The Clear Call of Jesus  • Matthew 28:18–20 (NKJV) “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…”  • The Great Commission is not a suggestion, but a command.  • Discipleship is not optional for the believer—it's our identity and mission.  • Briefly affirm your audience's desire to follow Jesus more faithfully. II. The Nature and Consequence of Sin  • Romans 3:23 (NKJV) “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  • Isaiah 59:2 (NKJV) “But your iniquities have separated you from your God…”  • Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV) “Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us…” Key Points:  • Sin is not just moral failure—it's a barrier to intimacy with God and others.  • Sin entangles and weighs down believers, keeping us from active obedience.  • Our mission to make disciples is spiritual warfare—sin compromises our witness, our clarity, and our power. III. Sin's Direct Impact on Discipleship A. It Weakens Our Witness  • 1 Peter 2:11–12 (NKJV) “…abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable… that they may, by your good works… glorify God.”  • Our credibility is tied to our character. Ongoing, unrepentant sin dulls our message. B. It Diminishes Our Passion  • Revelation 2:4–5 (NKJV) “…you have left your first love. Remember… repent and do the first works.”  • Sin numbs the heart. A lukewarm heart does not multiply disciples—it replicates complacency. C. It Breaks Fellowship and Unity  • John 13:34–35 (NKJV) “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”  • Sin disrupts love and unity, weakening the Church's witness and the environment in which disciples are formed. IV. Repentance and Restoration for Disciple Makers  • 1 John 1:9 (NKJV) “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us…”  • Psalm 51:10–13 (NKJV) “Create in me a clean heart… Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You.”  • Repentance is not the end of ministry—it's often the beginning of renewed fruitfulness.  • David sinned greatly, but through repentance, his voice became a song of redemption that still disciples us today. V. Living Holy to Make Disciples Effectively  • 2 Timothy 2:21 (NKJV) “Therefore if anyone cleanses himself… he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master…”  • Holiness is not perfection, but readiness—an availability for God's use.  • Personal holiness fuels spiritual authority and fruitfulness in disciple-making. VI. Conclusion: Renew the Mission  • Luke 9:23 (NKJV) “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”  • Philippians 2:15–16 (NKJV) “…shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life…”  • The world needs disciples. The church needs disciple-makers. Jesus is still calling.  • Let us repent where we've fallen, recommit where we've grown weary, and re-engage the mission with holy fire. **(1:00)**  Busyness can suck that life out of you. Is your life lacking the clear spiritual progress you would like to see? IF so, today may be just for you. We are looking at pursuing clear Biblical goals to get out of a rut and back on track.   Welcome to Run With Horses! My name is Norman and my goal is to help you thrive as a follower of Jesus. The spiritual life is simple in many ways, but potentially the most difficult part of your life. God invites you to grow, to live intentionally and to join in His mission. It's very cool that we can do that together! Thank you for joining me today! “If you're new here, you can check out past episodes at runwithhorses.net. As always, I appreciate your feedback, questions, and reviews!”   **(23:00 – 0:00)* *  PART 1     Goal setting is useful for followers of Jesus—especially for Baptist Christians who want to be disciple makers—because it helps us live intentionally, steward our time wisely, and align our lives with Christ's mission.   ### 1. **Keeps Us Focused on the Mission**   Jesus commanded His followers to “make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19–20, NKJV). Setting specific goals helps us stay focused on this Great Commission. Without clear direction, it's easy to drift. But when we prayerfully set goals for relationships, spiritual growth, and ministry opportunities, we live with purpose. Why do we drift so easily? The world is full of distractions. Even good things can hinder us from pursuing the best things. Our priorities should be clear but often seem fuzzy.   ### 2. **Encourages Faithful Stewardship**   Ephesians 5:15–16 says, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Goal setting helps us steward our time, talents, and resources for eternal impact. It keeps us from wasting energy on things that don't contribute to Christ's kingdom. Every resource is ultimately God's. Our time is our most valuable resource and the easiest to waste. Clear goals help us evaluate the use of all of our resources in light of God's work in our life and in the world.   ### 3. **Provides a Framework for Spiritual Growth**   2 Peter 3:18 urges us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Setting personal spiritual goals (e.g., daily devotions, Scripture memorization, sharing the gospel weekly) helps us pursue maturity as disciples—so that we can help others grow as well. Although God always does His work of sanctification, He invites us to be part of the process. making clear decisions based on His Word and His Work is part of the process. There are clear choices that help us to grow toward maturity. Prayer, Bible reading and involvement with the church family are foundational and it is easy to set simple realistic goals for each on that will help us stay on track.   ### 4. **Promotes Intentional Relationships**   Disciple making requires time and intentionality. Setting goals to meet regularly with a younger believer, to start a Bible study, or to mentor a new Christian helps ensure we are actively investing in others for their spiritual benefit (2 Timothy 2:2). Disciple Making is about people. Using our time wisely gives us more time for investing in others. Keeping our lives simple helps us free up time and resources to be generous in all areas of life.   ### 5. **Builds Accountability and Encourages Perseverance**   When we set godly goals and share them with others in the church, we create a structure for encouragement and accountability (Hebrews 10:24–25). This helps us persevere when we face discouragement, setbacks, or spiritual warfare. We need to ask for accountability. IT is difficult to do that when we aren't actually working on anything related to our spiritual growth. With clear goals it is easy for others to talk with us about how God is working in us. Those conversations can be encouraging and help us perevere when times are tough.   ### 6. **Reflects the Wisdom of Planning Under God's Sovereignty**   Proverbs 21:5 says, “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty.” While we trust God's sovereignty over our lives, we are still called to plan wisely and act in faith. Goal setting is an act of diligence that honors the Lord when it is submitted to His will (James 4:13–15).God has a plan. He is organized and purposeful in all that he does. If we are to be growing in Christ-likeness, we are to be growing in purposeful choices that lead us closer to Him.   **In summary:** For a believer who wants to make disciples, goal setting is a practical expression of faithfulness. It helps us be intentional about growing spiritually, investing in others, and fulfilling Jesus' mission—always depending on God's grace and guidance every step of the way.   **(00:00) END PART 1** **(27:00 – 5:00) BEGIN PART 2**   Implementing goal setting into a personal spiritual journey is a way for a disciple of Jesus to grow in Christlikeness and become more effective in making disciples. As a disciple committed to the authority of Scripture and the Great Commission, goal setting should be approached prayerfully, biblically, and purposefully.   How do you begin implementing goal setting in your spiritual life?   ### 1. Start with God's Purpose, Not Personal Ambition   Our goals must flow from God's purposes—not personal preferences. God's purpose for every believer is to be conformed to the image of Christ and to make disciples.

rwh10may Ep.363 – Run With Horses Podcast – A Growth Mindset for Disciple Makers Podcast: rwh.podbean.com Website: www.runwithhorses.net Youtube: https://youtube.com/@rwhpodcast Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RWHpodcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rwh_podcast Twitter: https://twitter.com/RWH_podcast Author pages with links to all books on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B0BCSDDVLB – James Norman Smith https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B0BMGW51FW – Susan Jane Smith   1. The Growth Mindset in a Christian Context Paul challenged believers to put effort into their spiritual life. Change is a part of growth and we should desire to be more like Jesus. A Christian is filled with the Holy Spirit who is working to make us like Jesus. Change will happen. The joy is that we can embrace it and benefit from working with God instead of against Him. A growth-minded believer: Welcomes challenges as opportunities for sanctification (James 1:2–4 NKJV). Perseveres under trial, knowing endurance produces spiritual maturity (Romans 5:3–5 NKJV). Seeks feedback and correction, recognizing rebuke refines faith (Proverbs 27:17 NKJV; Proverbs 12:1 NKJV). Celebrates others' growth, rejoicing when fellow believers flourish (Romans 12:15 NKJV). 2. Discipleship and the Great Commission Jesus' charge to “make disciples” frames our growth-oriented calling: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” —Matthew 28:19–20 (NKJV) A growth mindset fuels the “teaching” phase: we believe learners can grow in knowledge, obedience, and Christ-likeness. It also shapes our own approach, as we accept that our skills in evangelism, teaching, and mentoring improve through practice, prayer, and reliance on God. 3. Spiritual Growth is a Process Scripture depicts growth as a journey: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” —2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV) “Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection…” —Hebrews 6:1 (NKJV) “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 3:14 (NKJV) These passages underscore that maturity takes intentional effort—exactly the outworking of a growth mindset in the spiritual realm. 4. The “One Another's” and Growth Mindset Command Scripture (NKJV) Growth-Mindset Connection Love one another John 13:34–35 Encourages perseverance in relationships even when hard. Serve one another Galatians 5:13 Builds humility and stewards gifts for others' growth. Encourage one another 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Puts others first. Admonish one another Colossians 3:16; Romans 15:14 Welcomes correction for mutual sanctification. Bear one another's burdens Galatians 6:2 Cultivates perseverance and compassion. Spur one another on Hebrews 10:24 Motivates toward good deeds and spiritual progress. Pray for one another James 5:16 Invites God's transforming power in growth. Be kind and tenderhearted Ephesians 4:32 Gives mercy to those who need it, we all do! Together, these “one another's” form the relational soil in which a growth mindset flourishes—each believer both a learner and a teacher, giving and receiving grace, correction, encouragement, and accountability. 5. Practical Implications for Disciple Makers Model a growth mindset by sharing your own struggles and progress in Bible study, prayer, or ministry skills. Set incremental goals for disciples (e.g., memorizing Scripture, leading a small group), celebrating small wins to build confidence (Zechariah 4:10 NKJV). Cultivate “one another” rhythms in your church—regular accountability groups, prayer partnerships, and service teams. Teach the biblical process of growth—explain that sanctification involves trials, correction, and perseverance, rooted in passages like James 1:2–4 (NKJV) and Hebrews 12:11 (NKJV). Encourage reflection—have disciples journal progress, confess weaknesses, and plan next steps, reinforcing that effort and dependence on Christ yield transformation.   **(00:00) END PART 1** **(27:00 – 5:00) BEGIN PART 2**   The Holy Spirit reshapes how we think about challenges, our own abilities, and the process of sanctification. 1. Confess Fixed-Mindset Thinking and Renew Your Mind “I can't change,” “I can't do that.” and the like are big hinderances to spiritual growth. Lies need to be brought into the light and exchanged for truth. The question should be, “What is God doing? What does HE want me to do?” God empowers His people for His work. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” —Romans 12:2 (NKJV) Practice: Keep a “mindset journal.” When you catch yourself thinking “I'll never grow in this,” write it down and pray: “Lord, show me Your truth here.” Replace it with a Scriptural affirmation (“I can grow by God's grace”—Philippians 4:13). 2. Meditate on God's Word Daily A growth mindset flourishes when immersed in truth. Scripture both reveals God's power to change us and gives the roadmap. Read, Think Deeply about, and put it into practice. “…but his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.” —Psalm 1:2 (NKJV) Practice: Start with 5–10 minutes each morning reading a short passage (e.g. one chapter of Proverbs or the Gospels). Ask: “What does this teach me about God's promise to strengthen me?” 3. Pray for Wisdom and Perseverance Growth requires divine enablement—both insight and the grit to keep going. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally…” —James 1:5 (NKJV) “Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” —James 1:2–3 (NKJV) Practice: Begin each day by asking God for wisdom to see opportunities for growth and the patience to endure them. When trials come (at work, in relationships, in ministry), thank Him for the refining work He intends. 4. Engage in Christian Community Even if attendance has been spotty, intentional fellowship is vital for encouragement, accountability, and skill development. “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another…” —Hebrews 10:24–25 (NKJV) “As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” —Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV) Practice: Commit to attending at least one fellowship gathering (Sunday service, small group, men's/women's Bible study). Ask a mature believer to meet monthly as a “growth partner” for prayer and feedback. 5. Set Small, Measurable Goals for Spiritual Disciplines SMART goals Growth rarely happens overnight. Incremental victories build confidence that God can grow you further. “For who has despised the day of small things?…” —Zechariah 4:10 (NKJV) Practice: Choose one discipline (e.g., Scripture memory, daily prayer journaling, service) and set a tiny goal: memorize one verse a week, pray five minutes daily, serve once a month. Celebrate each completion by recording it in your journal and thanking God. 6. Welcome Correction and Feedback A growth mindset leans into rebuke, knowing it produces maturity. “The ear that hears the rebukes of life Will abide among the wise.” —Proverbs 15:31 (NKJV) “But exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,' lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” —Hebrews 3:13 (NKJV) Practice: Invite a trusted mentor or friend to give you honest feedback on your spiritual habits. When you receive correction, respond with “Thank you—help me understand how to improve.” 7. Practice Gratitude and Celebrate Others' Growth Focusing on progress—both yours and others'—reinforces a mindset that abilities can expand. “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” —Romans 12:15 (NKJV) “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV) Practice: Keep a “gratitude list” of spiritual wins you see in yourself and others. Send a quick note or text to encourage a fellow believer when they share a breakthrough. 8. Rely on God's Strength in Weakness A growth mindset isn't self-reliance; it's dependence on Christ, who is at work in us. “…when I am weak, then I am strong.” —2 Corinthians 12:10 (NKJV) Practice: In moments of discouragement (“I failed again…”), confess your weakness and ask Christ to work through it. Memorize 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 and speak it aloud whenever you feel stuck.     **(5:00 – 1:00)** Doctrine Today Jesus and His Present Ministry The Holy Spirit's Role in Disciple Making. Dispensational Baptist view of the End Times Understanding Theology is Important The Gospel and Ongoing Disciple Making Church Role in Discerning God's Will Barriers to Disciple Making Spiritual Warfare Jesus – Incarnation God's Sovereignty God's sovereignty means that God reigns over all things with perfect wisdom, power, and love, and nothing in our lives is outside His control. 1. God's Sovereignty Brings Peace in Uncertainty When life feels chaotic or unjust, God's sovereignty assures us that nothing happens apart from His knowledge or plan. “The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His kingdom rules over all.” —Psalm 103:19 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28 (NKJV) Why it matters: Even suffering and confusion have purpose under God's rule. He's not reacting—He's reigning. 2. God's Sovereignty Fuels Evangelism and Disciple-Making Because God is sovereign over salvation, we can evangelize boldly, knowing He draws hearts to Himself. “All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.” —John 6:37 (NKJV) “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” —John 6:44 (NKJV) Why it matters: The results of disciple-making aren't on your shoulders. You sow and water; God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6–7 NKJV). 3. God's Sovereignty Grounds Our Identity and Purpose You are not random. You are created, saved, and called intentionally. “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” —Psalm 139:16 (NKJV) “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” —Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV) Why it matters: Your life, your calling, and even your challenges are part of God's good and sovereign plan. 4. God's Sovereignty Produces Worship and Humility When we recognize God is in control and we are not, we bow in awe and dependence. “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all.” —1 Chronicles 29:11 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. —Isaiah 55:8 (NKJV) Why it matters: Sovereignty reminds us that God is God—and we are not. 5. God's Sovereignty Guarantees His Promises Will Stand We can believe God's Word with full assurance because no power can thwart His will. “Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?” —Isaiah 43:13 (NKJV) “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations.” —Psalm 33:11 (NKJV) Why it matters: Our eternal hope is secure because it rests in God's unshakable rule.   **(1:00)** It's important for all of us to see the big picture in life. God IS working and He WILL complete His work in you. Daily remind yourself that God is drawing you to Himself and He invites you to be an active participant in your spiritual growth. Reject the lie that you can't change. See the person God wants you to be and put real effort into doing your part, trusting that God will always do His part.   – “Thank you for listening today! -If you enjoyed the show you can listen to all the past shows wherever you listen to podcasts.

The Perfect Will of God vs. The Permissible Will of God • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give   The Perfect Will of God vs. The Permissible Will of God: Seeking His Heart Above All Else As believers, we often hear about the “will of God,” but what does that truly mean? Scripture reveals that there is a difference between God's perfect will—His ultimate, sovereign plan—and His permissible will—what He allows due to human free will, even when it is not His best for us. The key to walking in victory, fulfillment, and divine purpose is seeking God's perfect will and not settling for what He merely allows. Let us dive into Scripture to understand these two aspects of God's will and why it is so important to seek His heart fully. 1. God's Perfect Will: His Sovereign, Best Plan for Us Romans 12:2 (NKJV) “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”   Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”   Matthew 6:33 (NKJV) “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”   Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”   2. God's Permissible Will: What He Allows, but Not His Best Psalm 106:13-15 (NKJV) “They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert. And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.”   1 Samuel 8:6-7 (NKJV) “But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, ‘Give us a king to judge us.' So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, ‘Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.'”   Numbers 22:12-13, 19-22 (NKJV) “And God said to Balaam, ‘You shall not go with them; you shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.' So Balaam rose in the morning and said to the princes of Balak, ‘Go back to your land, for the Lord has refused to give me permission to go with you.'” (v. 19-22) “Now therefore, please, you also stay here tonight, that I may know what more the Lord will say to me.” …Then God's anger was aroused because he went, and the Angel of the Lord took His stand in the way as an adversary against him.”   3. Why We Must Seek God's Perfect Will Ephesians 5:17 (NKJV) “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”   Colossians 1:9 (NKJV) “For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”   John 4:34 (NKJV) “Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.'”   Conclusion: The Importance of Seeking His Perfect Will Many settle for God's permissible will, pursuing relationships, jobs, or ministries that God allows but that are not His perfect plan. While He may not stop us, the consequences can be costly. We must: 1. Seek Him first (Matthew 6:33). 2. Renew our minds to discern His will (Romans 12:2). 3. Trust Him fully (Proverbs 3:5-6). 4. Pray for wisdom and revelation (Colossians 1:9). By doing this, we will walk in God's perfect will, fulfilling His best for our lives! Let us not be like Israel, demanding what God allows but missing His best. Instead, let us seek His heart and live in His perfect plan!

For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you." 3. John 4:17-18 (NKJV) "The woman answered and said, 'I have no husband.' Jesus said to her, 'You have well said, "I have no husband," for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.'" 4. Acts 3:6-8 (NKJV) "Then Peter said, 'Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.' And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God." 5. John 6:10-13 (NKJV) "Then Jesus said, 'Make the people sit down.' Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, 'Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.' Therefore they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten." 6. Acts 11:28 (NKJV) "Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar." 7. Acts 16:16-18 (NKJV) "Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, 'These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.' And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, 'I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.' And he came out that very hour." 8. Acts 2:4-6 (NKJV) "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language." 9. 1 Corinthians 13:1 (NKJV) "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal." 10. 1 Corinthians 14:4 (NKJV) "He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church." 11. 1 Corinthians 14:22 (NKJV) "Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophesying is not for unbelievers but for those who believe." 12. 1 Corinthians 14:13 (NKJV) "Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret." 13. Proverbs 13:22 (NKJV) "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous." 14. Luke 6:38 (NKJV) "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." 15. 1 Corinthians 12:31 (NKJV) "But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way."

It's Time for Us to Get to Work • Friday Service To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org App: www.ToddCoconato.com/app We are living in a unique and critical time. The world is changing rapidly, and as believers, we recognize that the Lord has given us a window of opportunity—a time of grace to be about His business. Now, more than ever, it's time for us to get to work. Our main focus going forward will be about winning souls, setting people free, and bringing healing in Jesus' name. We must be diligent and intentional because time is short, and the harvest is plentiful. Let's dive into what the Word of God says about being diligent in the Lord's work and why now is the time to take action. 1. Ephesians 5:15-16 (NKJV) “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” 2. Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV) “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen.” 3. John 9:4 (NKJV) “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” 4. 2 Timothy 4:2 (NKJV) “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.” 5. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV) “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 6. Proverbs 11:30 (NKJV) “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.” 7. 2 Peter 3:9 (NKJV) “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 8. Luke 10:2 (NKJV) “Then He said to them, ‘The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'” 9. Romans 13:11 (NKJV) “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” 10. James 1:22 (NKJV) “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

The Seven Sons of Sceva • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give   The story of the seven sons of Sceva is a powerful reminder of the authority we have in Christ and the importance of having a genuine relationship with Him. This account, found in Acts 19, offers believers several lessons about spiritual authority, the dangers of imitation without faith, and the power that resides in the name of Jesus when used properly. The Story: Acts 19:11-20 (NKJV) Acts 19:11-12 (NKJV) “Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” Commentary: Paul's ministry in Ephesus was marked by extraordinary miracles, as God moved mightily through him. The emphasis here is that these miracles were God's work through Paul—an important distinction. It's a reminder that miraculous works flow from God's authority, not human effort. It's also a testament to the power of God's Spirit working through a yielded vessel.* Acts 19:13 (NKJV) “Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, ‘We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.'” Commentary: These Jewish exorcists, including the seven sons of Sceva, saw the power displayed through Paul's ministry and thought they could imitate it without truly knowing Jesus. They used Jesus' name like a magic formula, unaware that spiritual authority cannot be borrowed or mimicked. This serves as a warning against using the name of Jesus superficially or without a true connection to Him.* Acts 19:14-16 (NKJV) “Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, ‘Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?' Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” The evil spirit recognized the authority of Jesus and the legitimacy of Paul's ministry, but the sons of Sceva had no real relationship with Christ. As a result, they were overpowered by the very force they sought to command. This demonstrates that the spiritual realm recognizes true authority, and without a genuine relationship with Christ, we lack the power to stand against evil. It also highlights the danger of engaging in spiritual matters without being properly equipped or covered by the blood of Jesus.* What Can We Learn as Believers? 1. Authority Comes From Christ Matthew 28:18 (NKJV) “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'” 2. A Genuine Relationship with Christ is Essential John 15:5 (NKJV) “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” 3. Demons Recognize True Authority James 2:19 (NKJV) “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!” 4. Imitation Without Relationship Leads to Defeat Ephesians 6:10-11 (NKJV) “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” 5. Spiritual Authority Requires Submission to God James 4:7 (NKJV) “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” 6. True Power is Found in the Name of Jesus Philippians 2:9-10 (NKJV) “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth.” 7. Fear of the Lord and Revival Follow True Power Acts 19:17-18 (NKJV) “This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.” 8. God's Power Cannot be Manipulated Acts 8:18-20 (NKJV) “And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money, saying, ‘Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.' But Peter said to him, ‘Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!'”   The story of the seven sons of Sceva teaches us that spiritual authority comes from a genuine relationship with Jesus, not from imitation or superficial use of His name. As believers, we must be rooted in Christ, submitted to His authority, and clothed in the armor of God to stand against the enemy. We cannot wield spiritual power without true faith and alignment with God's will. The authority we carry in Christ is real and powerful, but it is only effective when we operate within the bounds of our relationship with Him and in submission to His Spirit.

How We Ride The Storm and Thrive • Friday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give As we approach a critical moment in history, with the upcoming election just weeks away, we find ourselves in the midst of a storm. The world is experiencing wars, divisions, and unrest, and it can be overwhelming. But as Riders of the Storm, we are not left without hope or direction. Jesus is in the boat with us. He is the One who calms the storms and commands the winds. This is not a time to waver in our faith but rather to ride the storm with boldness, pressing deeper into our calling and growing more on fire for God than ever before. The mission ahead is clear, and we are to step forward with greater faith as we live out our roles in these last days. 1. Matthew 8:23-26 (NKJV) “Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We are perishing!' But He said to them, ‘Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” 2. Mark 4:39 (NKJV) “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!' And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” 3. Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” 4. Hebrews 12:28-29 (NKJV) “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” 5. Ephesians 6:13 (NKJV) “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” 6. John 16:33 (NKJV) “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” 7. Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” 8. 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 9. Romans 8:28 (NKJV) “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” 10. Matthew 24:13-14 (NKJV) “But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” As Riders of the Storm in these end times, we recognize the turbulence around us, but we are not shaken. Jesus is in the boat with us, and He commands the storm. Our mission is clear: endure, stay focused, and preach the gospel with boldness. This storm is not here to destroy us, but to refine us, to deepen our faith, and to prepare us for the final hour. Let us rise up with more passion, more fire, and more faith than ever before, knowing that we serve a victorious King who has already overcome the world.

Mercy and Grace in the End Times: Our Urgent Call to Reflect Christ • Friday Service   Website: www.PastorTodd.org To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give   We are living in extraordinary times, times that many of us believe are the final days before the return of Jesus Christ. The world is in turmoil, and there's an urgency in the Spirit for us as believers to understand our role in this hour. The signs are all around us—wars, earthquakes, lawlessness, and hearts growing cold (Matthew 24:6-12). In such times, it is easy to get caught up in fear, anger, and judgment. Yet, the Lord calls us to something greater. He calls us to mercy and grace. Today, I want to talk about why exercising mercy and grace is not just an option but a necessity, especially in this critical hour. Not only does grace help others, it transforms and blesses us as well. Matthew 24:12-13 (NKJV) "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved." James 2:13 (NKJV) "For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment." Matthew 5:7 (NKJV) "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." Titus 2:11-12 (NKJV) "For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age." Ephesians 2:8-9 (NKJV) "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV) "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV) "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." 1 Peter 4:7-8 (NKJV) "But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for 'love will cover a multitude of sins.'" Luke 6:36 (NKJV) "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful." As we navigate these perilous times, we must be agents of mercy and grace. The Bible tells us that lawlessness will abound and the love of many will grow cold (Matthew 24:12), but this is not our portion. We are called to love, to show mercy, and to extend grace, not only because it blesses others but because it changes us. Grace empowers us, strengthens us, and keeps us walking in the power of Christ. Now more than ever, we need to reflect the heart of God to a lost and broken world. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Grace gives us the strength to endure. And in the end, it is by His grace that we will stand firm until the very end, hearing the words we long for: "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23).

Why God is Raising Up Davids and Esthers for Such a Time as This? • Friday Service   To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org   We will delve into the stories of David and Esther—two remarkable figures in biblical history who were raised up by God for critical moments in their respective eras. Their decisions to embrace God's call shaped not only their destinies but the destinies of nations. As we go through their stories, I want us to reflect on why their obedience was crucial and how their lives serve as a prophetic mirror for us today. We are the modern-day Davids and Esthers, and the decisions we make now will have a profound impact on our families, communities, and the world. Scripture 1: David's Anointing 1 Samuel 16:12-13 (NKJV): "So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, 'Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!' Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah." Scripture 2: Esther's Rise to Queenship Esther 2:17 (NKJV): "The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti." Scripture 3: David and Goliath 1 Samuel 17:45-47 (NKJV): "Then David said to the Philistine, 'You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands.'" Scripture 4: Esther's Dilemma Esther 4:13-14 (NKJV): "And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: 'Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews. For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?'" Scripture 5: David's Leadership 2 Samuel 5:3-4 (NKJV): "Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord. And they anointed David king over Israel. David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years." Scripture 6: Esther's Boldness Esther 5:1-2 (NKJV): "Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, across from the king's house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house. So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter." Scripture 7: David's Worship 2 Samuel 6:14-15 (NKJV): "Then David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet." Scripture 8: Esther's Intercession Esther 8:3 (NKJV): "Now Esther spoke again to the king, fell down at his feet, and implored him with tears to counteract the evil of Haman the Agagite, and the scheme which he had devised against the Jews." Scripture 9: David's Legacy 1 Kings 2:1-3 (NKJV): _"Now the days of David drew near that he should die, and he charged Solomon his son, saying: 'I go the way of all the earth; be strong, therefore, and prove yourself a man. And keep the charge of the Lord your God: to walk in His ways, to keep His statutes, His commandments, His judgments, and His testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses 1 Kings 2:1-3 (NKJV) Continued: "…that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn." Scripture 10: Esther's Victory and Legacy Esther 9:1 (NKJV): "Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king's command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them." Conclusion: We Are Modern-Day Davids and Esthers In the stories of David and Esther, we see individuals who were called by God for specific purposes in critical times. They were not perfect, but they were willing to say yes to God's call. Their obedience, faith, and courage changed the course of history. We are the modern-day Davids and Esthers. The times we live in are marked by challenges and opportunities, and God is calling us to step into our divine assignments. Just as David faced giants and Esther faced a powerful enemy, we too face spiritual battles and cultural challenges. But God has equipped us with His Spirit, just as He did with David and Esther. We need to understand that our obedience to God's call is not just about our personal destinies; it's about the destinies of those we are called to influence and lead. If Esther had not stepped up, her family would have perished, and the Jews could have been annihilated. If David had not faced Goliath, the Israelites might have been defeated. Our actions today can have far-reaching consequences. God is raising up Davids—people after His own heart who will lead with integrity, worship Him wholeheartedly, and face the giants of our time with unwavering faith. God is raising up Esthers—men and women who will stand in the gap, intercede for their people, and use their influence to bring about justice and deliverance. The call is urgent. We must take a stand now. Our world is in desperate need of leaders who are willing to say yes to God's call, no matter the cost. Just as David and Esther were positioned for a specific time and purpose, we are positioned in this time for God's divine purpose. Let us, like David, be people after God's own heart, and like Esther, be willing to take bold risks for the sake of others. When we align our lives with God's will and step into our divine assignments, we will see His power at work in and through us, bringing about transformation and victory. Let us pray.

The Transformative Power of Serving Jesus Christ • Sunday Service To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org Serving Jesus Christ is a life-changing commitment that brings profound transformation and abundant blessings. Understanding what happens when we serve Him is essential for living a purposeful and fulfilling Christian life. Today, we will explore ten powerful scriptures that reveal the blessings, challenges, and ultimate rewards of serving Jesus Christ. Matthew 16:24-25 (NKJV): "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.'* John 12:26 (NKJV): "If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor."* Galatians 2:20 (NKJV): "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."* Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV): "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."* Philippians 2:5-7 (NKJV): "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV): "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Matthew 25:21 (NKJV): "His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'"* 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NKJV): "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Ephesians 6:7-8 (NKJV): "With goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free."* Hebrews 6:10 (NKJV): "For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister." Serving Jesus Christ is a journey of transformation, sacrifice, and abundant blessing. It requires denying ourselves, embracing humility, and faithfully following Him. The scriptures remind us that our service is never in vain and is richly rewarded by the Lord. Let us commit to serving Him wholeheartedly, knowing that He honors and rewards our faithfulness. May we find joy, purpose, and fulfillment in our service to Jesus Christ, for His glory and the advancement of His kingdom. Amen.

Finishing Well • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, we gather to explore the profound and vital topic of "Finishing Well." As believers, we are called to run the race set before us with endurance, to fight the good fight of faith, and to remain steadfast until the end. However, the journey is often fraught with disappointments and challenges that can sap our vigor and zeal for God. The enemy is ever at work, seeking to discourage and derail us. But take heart, for God's Word provides us with the strength and encouragement we need to persevere and finish well. 1. Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." 2. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NKJV) "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." 3. Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." 4. Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV) "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." 5. Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) "But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." 6. James 1:12 (NKJV) "Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." 7. Romans 5:3-5 (NKJV) "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."   Brothers and sisters, the journey of faith is not without its challenges and disappointments. The enemy will use these to try to discourage us and cause us to lose our zeal for God. But let us remember that we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, we have the example of Jesus, and we are promised a reward for our perseverance. Let us lay aside every weight, keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, and run the race with endurance. May we all finish well, to the glory of God. Amen.

Overcoming Lust in the Power of Jesus' Name • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give In today's world, lust is pervasive and persistent, infiltrating our lives through various mediums. The Bible warns us of the dangers of lust and provides us with the tools to overcome it. As Christians, we are called to live holy lives, free from the chains of lust. Today, we will explore why lust is so pervasive and how we can overcome it through the power of Jesus' name. 1. Lust in the Present Age: 1 John 2:16 (NKJV):"For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world." 2. The Consequences of Lust: James 1:14-15 (NKJV):"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death." 3. The Call to Holiness: 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (NKJV):"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God." 4. The Power of the Holy Spirit: Galatians 5:16-17 (NKJV):"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish." 5. Renewing the Mind: Romans 12:2 (NKJV):"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." 6. Guarding the Heart: Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV):"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." 7. Fleeing Temptation: 2 Timothy 2:22 (NKJV):"Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 8. Setting Our Minds on Heavenly Things: Colossians 3:2-5 (NKJV):"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God... Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." 9. God's Faithfulness in Providing a Way Out: 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV):"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 10. Living by the Spirit: Romans 8:12-13 (NKJV):"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."

Praise as a Spiritual Weapon** **2 Chronicles 20:22 (NKJV)**: "Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated."   3. Praise Leads to Breakthroughs** **Acts 16:25-26 (NKJV)**: "But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains were loosed."   4. "Closing the Wrong Doors" • Friday Service #closingwrongdoors #toddcoconato #remnant #fridayservice #rrc Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Tonight we gather in the presence of the Lord today to address a critical aspect of our walk with Christ—closing the wrong doors. 1. Revelation 3:7-8 (NKJV): "‘And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.'” 2. 2 Timothy 2:22 (NKJV): "Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 3. James 4:7 (NKJV): "Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." 4. Ephesians 4:27 (NKJV): "nor give place to the devil." 5. Matthew 7:13-14 (NKJV): "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Closing the wrong doors means consciously choosing the narrow gate, despite its difficulty and the fewer numbers who choose it. The theological depth here is immense; our salvation and sanctification are worked out as we choose, again and again, the narrow way of Christ over the broad ways of the world.

Show Questions:Cold Open:We're living with an uncertain economy right now with experts saying that we are entering into a recession…What advice would you give to young people who are just starting to figure out their careers and finances during economic times like this?Episode Questions:Anonymous, Moreno Valley: On your last Debrief, you brought up a couple that wanted a divorce, and you basically said the husband needed to man up and put in the work to save his marriage and family. My question is, what do you say to a couple when one of the spouses still wants to leave the marriage even after they've put in the work to heal it? Turning around broken relationships doesn't seem as just “putting in the work.”Mindie, Menifee: “I've read Exodus many times; I'm just now recognizing that God foretold of their slavery to Abraham back in Genesis 15. As I'm reading through Exodus, chapter 1, I can't help but think of the moms and dads to little boys that were not Moses' parents. How do I justify the fact that God didn't save all of those boys too? I know he saved many through the midwives, but then Pharaoh commanded them to be thrown into the Nile. My heart is sad for them. How do you defend those who are angry with God or don't wish to follow God because of a situation like this in his word?”Jonathan, Moreno Valley: “In regards to love and law, can you explain what Paul is talking about in Galatians‬ ‭3‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.”Thank you, Pastor Matt. I want to be the best leader/Christian I can possibly be. I want to be able to properly lead my family, future sons and daughters, future wife, potentially future flock (If the Lord even has me lead one), and honestly, anyone that the Lord puts into my life. Welcome to season 2 of the Determined to Dance podcast. I pray that you'll be uplifted, encouraged, and will move forward each and every day. Today's episode, Praying in the Spirit, focuses on prayer and the Holy Spirit. Show Notes: Praying in the Spirit After thirty-seven episodes of prayer, you have probably figured out that I love to pray. To talk to God about anything and everything. He is truly the only one who totally “gets” me: my quirks, my weirdness, my pain, my joy. I don't know how I would get through one day without talking to my Father. I found through my study that the term “Praying in the Spirit” means a lot of different things to different people. Especially among various denominations. In Ephesians 6:18, Paul says: “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” NLT Jacob Gregory said, “No human can pray without divine help.” I agree that we can do nothing in and of ourselves. We need God every second of every day. Praying in the Spirit is basically God enabling us to pray through His Spirit. I found three ways to pray in the Word: In your native language. In a spiritual language. In groanings too deep to utter. Here are scriptures I found to support this: “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.” Romans 12: 10-13 NKJV “Well then, what shall I do? I will pray in the spirit, and I will also pray in words I understand. I will sing in the spirit, and I will also sing in words I understand.” I Corinthians 14:15 NLT “Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” Romans 8:26 NKJV “Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy and do not forbid to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.” I Corinthians 14: 39-40 NKJV My times in prayer are deeply personal and uplifting to me. I want to be as close to God as possible while on this earth and look forward to an eternity spent with Him. I don't understand life as much as I would like to but I know God loves me and is even pleased with me. Years ago, I thought of God more as a judge than a Father. I know now that He is both and his judgment is tempered with mercy. I really can't wait until the day when we will really know Him: “For now, we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.” I Corinthians 13:12 NKJV I'll leave you with this thought. When comparing prayer in one's native language or a prayer language, Jack Hayford says, “Each form of prayer is at a different dimension, and neither should be described as “less than.” How can the Grand Canyon and the Swiss Alps be compared? It's impossible and unnecessary to do so. Rather, be it languages we employ or creation we behold, let us all be humbled before all manifestations of His Majesty's glory. Let us rise together to praise the Creator of all prayer as readily as we worship the Creator of all things. To do so is to be open to experiencing the enjoyment and the blessing available in exploring the dimensions to which each realm invites us.” From The Beauty of Spiritual Language. Let's pray: Father God, we thank You for the Holy Spirit and the gifts He bestows on Your children. We love talking and singing to You in all ways and forms. You are good and love each of us as individuals, and that is amazing. We are never a number but are chosen, accepted, and deeply loved. You are awesome beyond words. In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.

The Name Of Jesus Pt 2 - The Name Inherited

Pastor David shares Wednesday in Dickinson. Review: Last week, we saw that God gave us the Power of Attorney to use the Name of Jesus. It is by the Name of Jesus that we have access to all of Heaven's resources: they are all at our disposal through the Name of Jesus! Matthew 28:18-19 (NLT) Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. [19] Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. A Name is only as good as the power and authority that back it My name will not get you very far if you want military clearance. But if you had the name of a top military officer and his approval, with documentation that you have his approval, you could go wherever he said you could go! See, a name is only as good as the authority backing that name. The More Excellent Name: How it came Three ways a great name may be attained: Some people are born to a great name (They inherit it) Some people make their name great because of their achievements (by conquest) Other have a great name given to them (by bestowal) Jesus' Great Name came through all three avenues: He inherited His great Name, His Name is great because of His achievements, and His Name is great because it was given to Him By Inheritance Hebrews 1:1-6 (NKJV) God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, [2] has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; [3] who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, [4] having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. [5] For to which of the angels did He ever say: "YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU"? And again: "I WILL BE TO HIM A FATHER, AND HE SHALL BE TO ME A SON"? [6] But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: "LET ALL THE ANGELS OF GOD WORSHIP HIM." Jesus inherited a more excellent Name than the angels When did Jesus inherit that more excellent Name? It was not when He was in Heaven! He had everything in heaven. Verses 4 and 5 tell us that it was when Jesus was begotten. Hebrews 1:4-5 (AMPC) [Taking a place and rank by which] He Himself became as much superior to angels as the glorious Name (title) which He has inherited is different from and more excellent than theirs. For to which of the angels did [God] ever say, You are My Son, today I have begotten You [established You in an official Sonship relation, with kingly dignity]? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He will be to Me a Son? So we can see that it was the moment that Jesus was begotten and established in an official Sonship relationship that He inherited that great Name. But WHEN WAS JESUS BEGOTTEN? It was not when He took on flesh as a baby in Bethlehem. Jesus was not born when He took on flesh, because He preexisted with the Father. He simply took upon Himself a body. Hebrews 10:5 (NKJV) Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "SACRIFICE AND OFFERING YOU DID NOT DESIRE, BUT A BODY YOU HAVE PREPARED FOR ME. In John 1:1-3,14 we see that He preexisted with the Father: John 1:1-3 (NKJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] He was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. John 1:14 (NKJV) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. The day Jesus was begotten: Acts 13:33 (NKJV) God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second Psalm: 'YOU ARE MY SON, TODAY I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU.' The day that Jesus was begotten and established in an official Sonship relationship was the DAY OF THE RESURRECTION! The day that Jesus tasted death and hell for us! Hebrews 2:9 (NKJV) But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. Jesus experienced physical and spiritual death for us! His death on the cross was more than His body dying, but He Who knew no sin and had never sinned BECAME sin for us, and His spirit died as well and He went into hell for three days until God SNATCHED Him from the grave and raised Him to life and sat Him down at His right hand. Matthew 27:45-46 (NKJV) Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. [46] And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" that is, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?" (ALSO IN MARK 15:34) The death Jesus experienced was for us! He swapped places with us 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV) For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. When we receive Jesus we become a new creation and receive a new nature - one with the life and peace of God. We take upon ourselves the nature of God – which is life and peace, where the devil's nature is hatred and lies. We don't know specifically what happened in hell, but we do know that Jesus took care of spiritual death for us! Acts 2:25-31 (NKJV) For David says concerning Him: 'I FORESAW THE LORD ALWAYS BEFORE MY FACE, FOR HE IS AT MY RIGHT HAND, THAT I MAY NOT BE SHAKEN. [26] THEREFORE MY HEART REJOICED, AND MY TONGUE WAS GLAD; MOREOVER MY FLESH ALSO WILL REST IN HOPE. [27] FOR YOU WILL NOT LEAVE MY SOUL IN HADES, NOR WILL YOU ALLOW YOUR HOLY ONE TO SEE CORRUPTION. [28] YOU HAVE MADE KNOWN TO ME THE WAYS OF LIFE; YOU WILL MAKE ME FULL OF JOY IN YOUR PRESENCE.' [29] "Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. [30] Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, [31] he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. Conclusion: “You will not be able to understand the authority in the Name of Jesus until you understand that Jesus tasted spiritual death and satisfied the claims of justice on behalf of each on of us when He died as our substitute.” - Bro. Hagin, “The Name of Jesus” When Jesus was in hell, God said, “It is enough,” and then He raised Jesus up from hell and the grave. He took His spirit and soul out of hell and raised His
