CD 1710 Finding Freedom Series Week 1Are you: "Born-Again but Bound"? "Saved but stuck"?And this year of 2025 the Lord has promised to reveal to those who are hungry His secrets. This morning we're going to start a series on the secret success in finding freedom. There are many steps from the reality of the freedom God has spoken in our lives to learning how to walk it out. Moses told the children of Israel that the Lord was going to set them free from the bondage in Egypt. It was easier for the Lord to deliver them from Pharaoh than to deliver them from their old lifestyles and mindsets.Jesus sets us free from our self-centeredness. He frees us from the power of sin in our lives. He frees us from the captivity that Satan has upon us, and he frees us from cultural or  society captivity. Ultimately setting us free to be in union with Him.*Series Text Galatians 5:1-9 (KJV) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Many people think that being born again is all there is to living God's abundant life. But being made spiritually alive is just the beginning.Do you know someone who is spiritually alive in Christ but still bound in their daily life? After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, the Bible says that Lazarus was still bound hand and foot by graveclothes. Many Christians who have been raised from the dead spiritually still live in bondage and need the help of others to be loosed and let go.“Loose him and let him go,” were the words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ at the tomb of Lazarus, a friend who had been dead for four days. John 11:43-44, “And when he had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto His disciples, Loose him and let him go.”Many people are familiar with the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. I believe this story is a type, or picture, of a person being raised from spiritual death. Ephesians 2:1 says, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” The word “quickened” means “made alive.” Only God can give life to the dead. I cannot quicken a man's spirit. I can give him the life-quickening Word of God, but I cannot save a man. Jesus is the Savior. I can preach the saving message, but Jesus is the only one who can spiritually raise people from the dead.Notice that even though Lazarus was alive, because he was raised from the dead, he was still bound. There are a lot of people who have been raised from the dead, spiritually speaking, who are still bound in some areas. Lazarus was still bound by graveclothes and even had a napkin covering his face. Jesus said to His disciples, “Loose him and let him go.” Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and His disciples loosed him from the graveclothes that still had him bound. You see, Jesus raised people from thSupport the show

CD1715 Respond not React, - Anger: Don't Drink the Poison!Don't give power to the enemy's words! If someone walked up to you with a big bag of stinky garbage and tried to give it to you, would you take it? Of course not! So why take the enemy's words of garbage and give him power? Remember the word of God says that our battle is not with flesh and blood, so that brings revelation of our opponent.Don't react, learn how to respond!Reacting is instantaneous! Responding is methodical with thought! Taking the garbage from the enemy and becoming angry with a reaction plays us into his hand. It's wasted energy, kind of like how a dog chases its tail. The devil wants to keep you and I going around and around in circles just like he did the children of Israel in the Old testament! Remember you own your emotions when you're in control rather than your emotions owning you! When the doctor taps your knee with the mallet to test your reflexes, your leg automatically swings, doesn't it? That's a reaction. It's an involuntary, uncontrolled action resulting from external stimuli of some sort. When you answer an email or a text, editing it for errors and choosing your words carefully, that's a response.*Text James 1:19 KJV Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:Q. Why? *James 1:20 KJV For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.Let's keep reading in the book of James, turn to chapter 3 with me please:*James 3:5-10 KJV 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.Our creator the Lord got almighty has given us this unique ability to speak, words that create or destroy! We need to understand how the devil wants to get involved into our speech. He will do that by provoking us under wrath! Speaking of wrath turn to the book of Proverbs please:*Proverbs 15:1 KJV A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Our words can act as a flame retardant or they can act as an accelerant and cause anger to flame and burn hotter and hotter! This is why we have to learn how to respond rather than react! Turn to the 18th chapter of the book of Proverbs please:*Proverbs 18:13 KJV He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.A fool will always speak rather than keep their silence! Turn with me to the gospel of Matthew chapter 5 and let's listen to the words of Jesus:*Matthew 5:38-48 KJV 38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse ySupport the show

CD 1709 Subtle SinsWhat comes to your mind when you think about the term " subtle sins"? The word of God tells us it's the little foxes that spoil the vine. Could it be it's the little or the subtle sins that opens the door for something greater to operate in and through our lives? Let's think about our thoughts just for a second. Our present day thoughts are the seeds of tomorrow's actions. If we are not careful in our thoughts, it will not be long before we fall into sin. The truth of the matter is after the thought seed has been planted, we do not know when it will grow, but sooner or later it will grow. We know that everything we see in the natural came from the vision of God in the spiritual. With that being said consider the following from the natural: When it comes to vegetables and fruits, some plants can take quite a long time to bear fruit after they're planted. Here are a few examples:- Asparagus: It can take up to 3 years for asparagus plants to produce spears that are ready for harvesting.- Avocado: An avocado tree can take anywhere from 3 to 15 years to produce fruit, depending on the variety and growing conditions.- Dragon fruit: Dragon fruit plants can take up to 6 years to start bearing fruit.- Pecan tree: A pecan tree can take up to 10 years to produce nuts. The problems of today, maybe even some strongholds that we are dealing with come from just a subtle sin. It is laid there silently but assuredly growing until it was time for the fruit to come forth.*Read Matthew 7:18 (KJV) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. So we need to be very mindful of where our mind is being fed or should we say what is being sown in our minds, our hearts! The Bible instructs us to: *Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life! Let's talk about some subtle sins that are the seeds of thoughts that will produce the fruit of tomorrow's action: -Spiritual  Pride: Thinking too highly of ourselves or being unwilling to accept correction or advice from others.*Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.-Envy: Feeling resentful or unhappy about someone else's success, blessings, or possessions.*Proverbs 14:30 (KJV) A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.Gossip: Sharing rumors or negative information about others, often disguised as concern or prayer requests.*Proverbs 16:28 (KJV) A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.Selfishness: Putting our own needs and desires above the needs of others, or being unwilling to sacrifice for the greater good.*Philippians 2:3 (KJV) Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Support the show

Note “turmoil” means a state of “great disturbance”, In truth, "disturbance" can be accurately described as a lack of peace! In the King James Version Bible 429 times in 400 versus we have the word peace! Jesus Himself is the Prince of Peace! Have you accepted Him in that truth? Turn with me in your Bibles to 3 openings for our “text” this morning please:*Text Matthew 26:30-38*Read Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.Remind yourself at the moment of salvation the “The Prince of Peace” comes to live on the inside of you! When we stay full of Him there is no place for “great disturbance”! Note “turmoil” also has to do with “confusion”:*Read 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of “confusion”, but “of peace”, as in all churches of the saints. The Lord saves and places those who would be saved into His church “of peace”!And finally note that “turmoil” has to do with “uncertainty”:*Read 1 Timothy 6:17 (KJV) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in “uncertaint riches”, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;#1 Peace with God*Reread Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.*Read Romans 5:1, 8-10 (KJV) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.*Read Romans 8:16-17 & 31-32 (KJV) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?#2 Peace over the flesh*Reread 1 CoSupport the show

CD 1704 Position - Purpose - Power(March 2, 2025 P.M. Service)As we touched on lightly this morning, In this life that has been given to us by our Creator the Lord God Almighty we have a vacuum on the inside of us. We were created with that vacuum in order that we would hunger and desire for something greater than ourselves. If we do not seek the Lord, then the devil will come and fill that vacuum. You cannot stay neutral, you will either be full of the Lord or full of the devil. We will talk more about this vacuum in a future service. This evening we're going to learn about our position in Christ which reveals our purpose in Christ and helps us to receive the power from Christ to live his life through us! *Text: 2 Timothy 1:1-10 (KJV) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:Praise God He as our Father has given us His Grace through Jesus Christ from the foundation of this earth age! He saves us and calls us into His Holy calling, all by His grace! Speaking of salvation “position”:#1 Position*Read Luke 15:24 (KJV) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.*Read Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Now see verse 6:*Read Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:Where is Jesus seated?*Read Colossians 3:1-3 (KJV) Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.We are seated on the right hand of power in Christ Jesus. So our “position” is not in question, rather our “position” is absolute in Christ Jesus! When we understand where we're living and operating from then it brings us to our second point our “purpose”:#2 PurposeSo I have a “purpose”? You mean there is more to this life than just getting by?How can I find my “purpose”?*Read Psalm 119:105 (KJV) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Support the show

CD 1700 Diagnosing and  Defeating Double MindednessI heard this in my spirit: “Don't major in the minor and minor in the major”!In our natural lives which is a pattern of or from our spiritual lives in order to change something we have to first come to the understanding that something needs changing. If we're feeling ill in our bodies, or in our minds then we need a diagnosis. Only after we get a diagnosis can we defeat the problem. This morning we're going to be talking about diagnosing and then defeating double-mindedness. Double-mindedness is something that will hinder your entire life until you bring it under subjection to the Word of God. Double-mindedness will keep you from receiving the promises of God's word which is the truth that makes you free!*Text: James 1:1-8 (KJV) James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. [2] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; [3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. [4] But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. [5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. [6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. [8] A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.#1 Divine Diagnosis *Reread James 1:8 (KJV) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.Note the Bible give us a clear definition of what the situation will appear like in your life if you are being double-minded! He said we would be "unstable" (ak-at-as'-tat-os) inconstant - this has to do with making a decision and then ruling and living from that decision. If we're always changing our minds, changing our words, and thus changing our actions then we have just been diagnosed with double mindedness! Can you imagine getting inside of your automobile and there were two steering wheels? How could the automobile be driven? The answer is it could NOT be driven with two drivers! Let Jesus drive, that leads us to our next point:#2 Divine Direction*Reread James 1:5 (KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.The Lord God gives direction to all who ask in faith. His wisdom is a revelation of direction for our daily lives. See Proverbs 3 and 6 He promises to direct our past then Psalms 16 and 11 it says he will show us the path!#3 Divine Deliverance*Read James 1:17 (KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.Q. How?(Read James 1:17 and 18)*Read James 4:7-10 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. [8] Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. [9] Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. [10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.Decree I take God of His Word! He will do what he said! I refuse double-mindedness. [9] Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: [10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. [11] My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: [12] For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. [13] Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. [15] She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. What we need to consider is the object of our anger, the motive for our anger, and the outcome of our anger.God's anger, however, is directed against sin and unrighteousness. He blazes hot against evil. His anger, like ours, becomes a consuming fire, but its focus is to eradicate the sin so that the sinner can be restored.Read 1Peter 2:21-25Read James 1:19-20*Read Colossians 3:1-2 & 8-11 (KJV) Read Ephesians 4:26-27Closing Illustration: Steve Tran of Westminster, California, wanted to kill the cockroaches in his apartment once and for all. Instead, we're called to humble ourselves and acknowledge that God is the one who determines our future.2️⃣ Serving God (James 5:1-8): In contrast, this passage speaks about the importance of aligning ourselves with God's values, including showing compassion to the poor and not prioritizing worldly wealth. It reminds us that our true treasures are found in heaven and encourages us to live in a way that reflects our faith. These contrasting sections highlight how our approach to life and our view of success are shaped by who or what we're serving. Our adversary is the devil and one of his names is death! He does not want anyone to “lay hold on eternal life”! But our “fight” will be about staying in the measure of “faith” God has dealt to every believer! We know the “faith” comes by our continual hearing of God's Word (Romans 10:17)! But it takes more than just our hearing to learn how to “Yield the SWORD of the Spirit” and that is the core of our message this morning!*Text Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.*Text Ephesians 6:11 & 17 (KJV) Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:Note “the word of God” is “sharper than any twoedged sword” that is able to reveal what is spirit, soul or body! The devil is working hard to cause people to believe it is a new normal to be unhappy and have no reason to be “Thankful”! In the “WORLD HAPPINESS REPORT” the USA has fallen to #23! Why is that? Finland has been #1 for several years. They are 65% Christian and have an emphasis on others, on community instead of self!If there was a time to practice “Thankfulness”, it is now! We are living in a time like no other in my humble opinion of murmuring and grumbling stemming from not being “Thankful”! By the Holy Spirit the apostle Paul told us that society at the end of the age will become “UNTHANKFUL.”*Read 2 Timothy 3:1-2 (KJV) This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, …*Text 1 Thessalonians 5:1–7 &16-18 (KJV) But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 16  Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Note “In every thing give thanks” #2168 (yoo-khar-is-teh'-o) to be grateful, that is, (actually) to express gratitude (towards); specifically to say grace at a meal.Note the Word says “In every thing give thanks” - not for! Here εν (en) is a preposition in Greek translated “In” while more common prepositions for "FOR" in Greek are επι (epi) or δια (dia). So in the time just before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ the Holy Spirit through the apostle Paul is admonishing us to “In every thing give thanks”! In the letter to Timothy he stated mankind would become “unthankful” and unholy! The word “unthankful” is a translation of the Greek word “ach-ar'-is-tos”. The word “ch-ar'-is-tos” on its own simply means “thankful”, but when an “a” is attached to the front of it, it reverses the condition and turns it into an attitude that is “unthankful”. It paints a picture of people who previously had a “thankful” heart but now are “unthankful”. They no longer focus on their blessings they have in their lives; instead, they fixate on what they don't have. These are people who have become “unthankful” and who live their lives very unhappy. The only other place where the word “ach-ar'-is-tos” is found in the New Testament is where the focus is off self and on those who are in real need:*Luke 6:35 (KJV) But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Q. How?Luke 6:36 (KJV)  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Notice in this verse that the Lord Jesus connects “unthankfulness” with evil! CD 1675 “First Things First - Serving Self or Serving the Savior”(November 3, 2024 A.M.  Service)*Proverbs 24:27 (KJV) Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house. The field is the world and Jesus has called His church into the field to reach the lost. What is “first” in our daily lives? The word “first” is listed 435 times in 406 verses in the KJV Bible! They asked: D.L. Moody, a famous American evangelist from the late 19th century. What he would do if he knew he only had one day left on Earth, he replied, "I would do just as I've been doing: preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ." His response highlights the importance of living each day with a sense of purpose and dedication to God's will.Solomon started out well, he built God's house first like the verse we just read in Proverbs. It took him 7 years to build God's house (1 Kings 6:38) but he spent 14 years building his own house (1 Kings 7:1)! We need to live like each day is our last and put “First Things First - not just Serving Self BUT fully Serving the Savior”!*TEXT Matthew 22:34-40 (KJV)  But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.Notice the very “first” thing in our lives must be “our love” for the Lord with our entire being and then we will be able to “love” others. The truth is “we will serve who or what” we “love“ the most! In the Bible, we see examples of people who “serve” what they love the most, both positively and negatively. For example, David  “served” God with all his heart, while Saul “served” his own ambition and pride. Similarly, the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-22 chose to “serve” his wealth and possessions rather than following Jesus. In Matthew 21:43, Jesus says that the kingdom of God will be taken away from the Jewish leaders and given to a nation that produces the fruits of the kingdom. And in Romans 11:11-24, Paul writes about how the rejection of Jesus by many Jews opened the door for the Gentiles to be grafted into the olive tree of Israel and to share in the promises of God. How silly would we be to think that if we do the very sames things the Jews did in rejecting the Lord that we would NOT bring the same judgment upon ourselves?*Read Matthew 22:1-2 (KJV) And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,*Read Matthew 22:3-6 (KJV) And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.*Read Matthew 22:7 (KJV) But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.*Read Matthew 22:8-10 (KJV) Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is readySupport the show

He paused, glanced up and quietly said, "We'll have to do something about this noise. This just won't do." He bowed his head and said a simple prayer to the effect: "Lord, we ask you to shift the wind and send these planes in another direction. Thank you. CD 1674 “Seasons - Sin - Sanctification”Last Sunday night we ministered out of Luke Chapter 7, seeing the Lord's heart for bringing the Truth in Word and Work!  Luke was a physician and we need his point of view of God's Great Gospel in this season (just a side note - The Gospel of Luke is thought to have been written primarily for a Gentile audience, as opposed to Matthew, which was written primarily for a Jewish audience). Let's remind ourselves of the key truth in chapter 4: our Lord and Savior went through “seasons” and had victory over “sin” because He was “sanctified”! I don't have to tell you that this is an intense “season” of “temptation” and “sin”! And just like Christ we must stand daily on the Word!*Luke 4:1-15 (KJV) And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: 10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: 11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. 14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.Note V.1-2 first please: “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. CD 1670 “Messiah's Ministry to Me and My Ministry to the Messiah”Last Sunday night we ministered out of Luke Chapter 7, seeing the Lord's heart for bringing the Truth in Word and Work! With a show of hands how many love it when the Lord ministries to His people? Tonight let's learn what we are to do after the Lord has ministered to us! Let's remind ourselves of the key verse in chapter 7 on top of what we covered last week with Simon the Pharisee and the woman with the alabaster box.In the original Greek text, Luke 8:1 does begin with a conjunction, "Kai", which is usually translated as "and" in English. This word is used to connect the events described in Luke 7 with those in Luke 8, indicating that they are part of a continuous narrative. We the reader should view them as part of a larger story. So, while the chapter division may suggest a break in the narrative, the use of "Kai" in the original Greek text emphasizes the continuity of the story! The book of Acts has no ending because it is still being written - the church is to “continue” the example of our “Messiah's Ministry” - (See Acts 13:1-2 for more on our ministry to the Lord)!*Text: Luke 8:1-4 (KJV) And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, 2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, 3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. 4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:Note “and the twelve were with him”Note “And certain women”The “Messiah's Ministry” was to be to all peoples, no one excluded! After He ministered to them then they could follow His example and minister to others which was really ministering to Him as covered last Sunday morning:*Matthew 25:40 (KJV) And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.Ok we have laid the groundwork, let's look at the 3 ways the “Messiah's Ministered” se we can “minister” to Him through His children:#1 “HE WENT”*Reread: Luke 8:1 (KJV) And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village…Note Jesus “went” #1353 (dee-od-yoo'-o) to travel throughSo, in Luke 8 and chapters 9-10 for that matter, we see Jesus actively “going” out into the world to teach and preach the gospel. He didn't just sit back and wait for people to come to him—He “went” to them.Similarly, Jesus commands his followers to "go” and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19). He wants us to be active and intentional in sharing the gospel with others, just as He was. We can't just sit on the sidelines and hope that people will come to us—we need to go out and meet them where they are.So, by following Jesus' example of "going," we are not only obeying his commands, but we are also imitating his life and ministry. We are called to be active participants in God's mission to the world, just as Jesus was!Now let's see where the Apostle Paul used this same Greek word about “going”:*Read Acts 17:1-4 (KJV) .Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbSupport the show

CD 1673 “Alone with an Awesome God”October 27, 2024 P.M.Being “alone” can be a good thing if we are “alone” for the right reasons and if we are “alone” in the spirit rather than “alone” in the flesh - the old man, the old carnal nature! The world and the devil will tell you to get “alone” with your thoughts - unsanctified thoughts are seeds for unsanctified feelings leading to unsanctified words which always produce unsanctified actions! We must make the conscious effort to get “Alone with an Awesome God” and let Him examine our thoughts, words and actions! Notice what the Psalmist said in faith because he understood his prayer time got him “Alone with an Awesome God”: *Psalms 55:17 (KJV) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and HE shall hear my voice. Most Americans eat natural food 3 times a day.But we have a spiritual body just as real as our physical body and it must have spiritual food. Whatever part of our being we feed the most will no doubt be the strongest! When David wrote this Psalm he was going through the hardest trial to date in his life! He was surrounded by enemies even in his own house! He knew in prayer he was getting “Alone with an Awesome God”! Now turn to the Gospel of Matthew for our text this evening please:*Matthew 6:5-6 (KJV) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.Note Jesus said “when thou prayest” - not if! “Prayer” is not an option and it's not just for a public setting! If we desire powerful prayers in public then we must develop “alone time in prayer with an awesome God”! Notice our God works publicly in our lives the way we seek Him privately in our devotions! With that truth being said, let's look once again to the teaching example of our Lord Jesus:*Luke 5:15-17 (KJV) But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. 16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed. 17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.Notice in verse 15 there was much need! But as great as the needs of the people there is one need greater! Jesus had to “ withdraw himself into the wilderness, and pray”! Remember God the Father rewards openly what is done first in secret - or being “Alone with an Awesome God”! Let's more at the life of our Lord and Savior please just after feeding the 5,000 men with 5 loaves and 2 fishes:*Read Matthew 14:20-23 (KJV) And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. 21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. 22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. 23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone”.Notice just as read about the Psalmist David in “the evening” our Lord was “Alone with an Awesome God”! CD 1669 How to Turn a Enemy into a Friend or a Friend into an EnemyThe Bible is full of principles or laws for living that can make our lives so much fuller and enjoyable. For instance God says if we give it shall be given back to us ( See Luke 6:38). If we forgive we shall be forgiven ( See Matthew 6:14-15)! If we judge then by our standard we too shall be judged (See Matthew 7:1-2).*Proverbs 13:15 (KJV) Good understanding giveth favour: But the way of transgressors is hard.Through the Word of God we can learn how to turn our “enemy” into our “friend”. On the negative side we can also by neglect of the principles of the word of God turn a “friend” into an “enemy”.*Text: Proverbs 17:17 (KJV)  A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.*Proverbs 18:24 (KJV) A man that hath “friends” must shew himself friendly: and there is a “friend” that sticketh closer than a brother.*John  15:12-15 (KJV) .This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his “friends”. 14 Ye are my “friends”, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you “friends”; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.The Lord Jesus came to build His church and make His children one in Him! He taught us that a house divided will not stand! From “Proverbs” we learn that “A friend loveth at all times” - that good times or bad times - easy times or hard times! But because Jesus became our elder brother now we're not just friends with Him we are brothers and sisters with Him and with each other! Notice in “John's Gospel” Jesus laid down His life for us as our example to one another!Let's turn to the Gospel of Luke and let's see how “turned  enemies into  friends”:First let's read keeping in mind how Jesus showed Himself friendly all through this chapter healing, raising from the dead ECT…:*Read Luke 7:33-34 (KJV) For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a “friend” of publicans and sinners!First of all those who are truly following the Lord God will never be able to please the religious! The Pharisees judged both John and Jesus! But let's keep reading and see how Jesus' desire was to turn “enemies into  friends”:*Read Luke 7:36-37 (KJV) And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. [37] And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, Imagine how much of a battle it was for this woman to go into Simon's house! She knew everyone would be looking at her and judging her! But she had heard about Jesus who showed Himself “friendly” and she was ready to make Him her Lord and “friend”! Look at her heart:*Read Luke 7:38(KJV) And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. She was so broken by her past and she knew that only Jesus could make her whole and she completely humbled herself! In 1 Corinthians 11:15 we learn the hair is the glory of the woman! She put her best on Christ's feet, sSupport the show

CD 1668 Law or Love: It's Your ChoiceLet me ask you a question this morning. How do you want a relationship with God, by His “Law” or by His “Love”. How do you want God to judge you, by His “Law” or by His Love? And when I say by His “Love” I mean the grace He revealed through His Son dying on the cross in our place.I believe each and every one of us would say Lord I can't live Your “Law” but I accept Your “Love” that You demonstrated (Romans 5:8) through Your son Jesus. I don't want “Law”, I want “Love” meaning Your grace! Now hold that thought and let's read our text: *Text Galatians 3:1-14 (KJV) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the “Law” , or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. 5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the “Law” , or by the hearing of faith? 6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the “Law”  are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the “Law”  to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the “Law”  in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the “Law”  is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the “Law” , being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.Note “Law” is mentioned 7 times in those 14 verses!Note verse 10 teached us if we don't live “by the hearing of faith” then we must live by all the “Law”! See James 2:10, which says, "For whosoever shall keep the whole Law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."This verse emphasizes the all-or-nothing nature of the “Law”. It's not enough to simply follow some of the commandments or do our best; if we break even one commandment, we are guilty of breaking the entire “Law”.This can seem like a daunting standard to live up to, but it's important to remember that Christ has already fulfilled the “Law” on our behalf, and we are no longer under its condemnation. Instead, we are called to live according to the Spirit “by the hearing of faith”, seeking to honor God in all that we do! *SEE Galatians 5:13-15 (KJV) For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by “Love”  serve one another. 14 For all the “Law” is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt “Love”  thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. Our Lord Jesus Christ teaches us about Him sitting on His throne with His sheep on His right hand and He makes this statement:*Matthew 25:37-40 (KJV) Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsSupport the show

God is a good God and His creation is from His goodness and the reality that He not only loves but He is love (1 John 4:8)! I said that to say this, God is a God of diversity and He has created all things and all peoples. We can see all the different races around the world and how they are each very unique and special but yet we are all very much alike coming from the Lord God Almighty! By listening to the way people talk or the way that they act reveals so much about them. Don't get caught up on the outside, learn how to “mark out‘ the inside! So as blood-bought born again children of God we should do what the Bible says and mark out the traits of being saved through the blood of Jesus versus the traits of the lost! The Bible is very clear that Satan the deceiver is very subtle and cunning in the way he works through counterfeits. So we need to mark those who are following the mark of the Lord Jesus Christ and those who are following the mark of the world:*Text: Psalms 37:37-40 (KJV) “MARK” the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. 38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. 39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.*Text: Romans 16:17-18 (KJV) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. [18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.*Text: Philippians 3:14-19 (KJV) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. [15] Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. [16] Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. [17] Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. [18] (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: [19] Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)#1 TEACHABLE*Reread Philippians 3:14-16 (KJV) I press toward “the mark” for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. [15] Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. [16] Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. We need to be teachable and be actively teaching others:*Read 2 Timothy 2:1-3 (KJV) Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who Support the Show.

CD 1659 “Resisting - Righting - Resting”August 19, 2024 A.M.It's amazing to me how we, the Church of the Living God, let the devil intimidate us on a daily basis! Jesus Himself promised us that the gates of Hell shall NOT prevail - get the victory over us! At all times we must understand what spirit we are listening to, or under the influence of! See the devil brings smokescreens and situations that seem like the Savior misrepresented His authority! The enemy and his cohorts work diligently trying to get God's church to accept that their situation is just God's will for their lives! This morning we are going to learn from the Word of God the truth for us to live in.. We must follow the Word wholly and then we will enter into His promises! The end of every journey comes step by step, and in this message we will look at these 3 steps:“Resisting - Righting - Resting”!*Text Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, 16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.  #1 Resisting -*James 4:7 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist (to oppose) the devil, and he will flee from you.Oh what a promise to live by! In our submission we are opposing every attack the devil has to work against our flesh! Soon he flees from us, looking for someone else to devour! Speaking of devour please turn to 1 Peter chapter 5 please:,*1 Peter 5:6-10 (KJV) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary (an opponent in a lawsuit) the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist (to oppose) stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Here James and Peter give us the keys to being able to “Resist (to oppose) the devil” - “ Submit yourselves ” and “ Humble yourselves”! Our victory is assured when we are living by the Word of God!Can you imagine how close to home this word from Peter was about the adversary? Jesus had warned Peter but he was full of pride inSupport the Show.
