CD 1728 Fear Bows to PeaceFear is of the devil, and fear brings torment ( see *1 John 4:18). One of the names of the devil is the Tormentor (see *Matthew 18:34)! Many people are bound by fear, and they are in great pain and discomfort! There is a lie to hold them back, but praise God, there's a truth that makes one free!*John 20:19-20 KJVS - 19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.Notice the disciples were bound by fear, but then the Lord Jesus came to where they were with a message just for thrm! He said Peace be unto you! His peace is a direct opposite of the fear they were feeling. It was a fear you could cut with a knife! But even though He had told them peace be unto them, they had to see Jesus' resurrected body for themselves to be able to receive His peace! Notice it's chapter 20 verse 20, so 20/20 vision of Jesus is what brings His peace and drives out the world's fear. Because it says when the disciples saw for themselves what He went through on the cross then they were glad! It's not knowing that yes there was a Jesus historically and there was a cross it's seeing that He went to that cross for you personally! Let's dive deeper on Fear: * 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." * This verse directly states that fear is not from God, contrasting it with the gifts He does give: power, love, and a disciplined mind. * Psalm 56:3: "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." * A simple yet powerful declaration of faith in the face of fear. * Isaiah 41:10: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." * God's promise to be present, to strengthen, help, and uphold His people, dispelling fear. * Psalm 23:4: "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." * Even in the darkest moments, the presence of God provides comfort and removes fear. We mentioned this verse in the opening but let's study it now: * 1 John 4:18: "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." * This is a foundational verse, indicating that genuine love for God, which is perfected in us, expels fear because fear itself is a torment. * Proverbs 29:25: "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." * Contrasts the danger of fearing people with the safety found in trusting God.Now let's get back to the Peace of Jesus Christ and how fear must bow: * John 14:27: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." * Jesus directly gives His peace, a peace distinct from worldly peace, to calm troubled hearts and banish fear. * John 16:33: "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." * Jesus tells His disciples that they will experience tSupport the show
CD 1729 Goodness, Mercy, Truth*TEXT Psalms 100:1-5 (KJV) Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generationsNote the Lord 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.Support the show
CD 1730 With a Great Ending and not a Great FallBro Jason: *2 Thessalonians 2:3:"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;*Revelation 1:8: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."The Bible, especially in the King James Version (KJV), provides several examples and warnings about individuals and even nations that started with promise but ultimately strayed and faced negative consequences. These narratives highlight the importance of perseverance in faith and obedience. Here are some KJV scriptures and biblical examples that illustrate the theme of starting well but not ending well:General Principles: * Ecclesiastes 7:8: "Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit." (While not directly about a bad ending, it emphasizes the importance of the outcome over the initial state.) * Proverbs 16:18: "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." (Often, a good beginning is ruined by pride or a change in heart.) * Galatians 5:7: "Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?" (This speaks to those who once followed the right path but were diverted.) * Luke 9:62: "And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." (This emphasizes the need for continuous dedication and not turning back once committed.)Support the show

CD 1724 Come and SeeText: John 1:37-41 KJV[37] And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. [38] Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? [39] He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. [40] One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. [41] He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.John 1:44-48 KJV[44] Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. [45] Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. [46] And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. [47] Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile! [48] Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? CD 1720 Learning Life - Experiencing Full SalvationIn this morning's message we will see that salvation is one thing, the primary thing the first thing! But those who want to experience the fullness of life must learn how to follow Jesus! When we get to our text we'll see that it's talking about the Jewish people at first but at the end of the chapter we find out that God sent out to the hedges and the byways to reach us the gentiles! So we can apply this to our lives this morning!Bro Jason on the screen:*Luke 19:10 (KJV) For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.*John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. The Greek word "zoe" used here is often translated as "life" but carries a deeper meaning of "absolute fullness of life". Text Luke 14:1-11 (KJV) And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?6 And they could not answer him again to these things.7 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.Note verses 10 & 11! In verse 10 because if humility Jesus says go up! Then he says by humility comes exaltation. With that being said let's look for a second and third witness!Submission by humility allows God's Exaltations:See James 4:10 (KJV) Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.See 1 Peter 5:6 (KJV) Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:Support the show
44CD 1718 Happy Mother's Day 2025 AM Service May 11, 2025In a story about some of the worst Mother's Day gifts ever given, the Houston Chronicle reported a story about Jerry Maltz giving his wife an iron. As soon as he got on and was successful he was to send for them. It was a long time before he succeeded, but at last he got money enough to send for them. The wife's heart leaped for joy. She took her boy to New York, got on board a Pacific steamer, and sailed away to San Francisco. They had not been long at sea before the cry of “Fire! fire!” rang through the ship, and rapidly it gained on them. There was a powder magazine on board, and the captain knew the moment the fire reached the powder, every man, woman, and child must perish. They got out the life-boats, but they were too small! In a minute they were overcrowded. The last one was just pushing away, when the mother pled with them to take her and her boy. “No,” they said, “we have got as many as we can hold.” She entreated them so earnestly, that at last they said they would take one more. Do you think she leaped into that boat and left her boy to die? No! She seized her boy, gave him one last hug, kissed him, and dropped him over into the boat. “My boy,” she said, “if you live to see your father, tell him that I died in your place.”That is a faint picture of what Christ has done for us. He laid down his life for us. He died that we might live. Now will you not love Him? What would you say of that young man if he should speak contemptuously of such a mother! She went down to a watery grave to save her son. Well, shall we speak contemptuously of such a Saviour? May God make us loyal to Christ!Source: Anecdotes and Illustrations of D. L. Moody, D. L. CD 1716 ImportanceAs I was walking and praying in the spirit, this question came to me very clearly: is what 's important to you also what is important to God? We need to stop and be still in the Lord's presence and ask him if we are self-centered or savior centered!Q. What is most important to God? A. Simply stated what is most important to God is a revelation of his love for his creation! That love is what brings his mercy, forgiveness and justice into our lives! *Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.*1 Corinthians 13:13 (KJV) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. * 1 Peter 4:8 ( KJV) And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. *1 John 4:7-11 (KJV) Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. So it's very important to God who is the God of love for us to receive his love first! Then we can love him as Jesus taught in Matthew 22:37 through 39 and we can love others as we love ourselves! That is the utmost importance to the Lord God Almighty and everything that we desire should stem from his love. Make his love our number one priority! The key to becoming more Savior-centered and less self-centered is to continually seek God's will and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our hearts.Support the show

CD 1710 Finding Freedom Series Week 1Are you: "Born-Again but Bound"? "Saved but stuck"?And this year of 2025 the Lord has promised to reveal to those who are hungry His secrets. This morning we're going to start a series on the secret success in finding freedom. There are many steps from the reality of the freedom God has spoken in our lives to learning how to walk it out. Moses told the children of Israel that the Lord was going to set them free from the bondage in Egypt. It was easier for the Lord to deliver them from Pharaoh than to deliver them from their old lifestyles and mindsets.Jesus sets us free from our self-centeredness. He frees us from the power of sin in our lives. He frees us from the captivity that Satan has upon us, and he frees us from cultural or society captivity. Ultimately setting us free to be in union with Him.*Series Text Galatians 5:1-9 (KJV) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. 3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. 5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Many people think that being born again is all there is to living God's abundant life. But being made spiritually alive is just the beginning.Do you know someone who is spiritually alive in Christ but still bound in their daily life? After Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, the Bible says that Lazarus was still bound hand and foot by graveclothes. Many Christians who have been raised from the dead spiritually still live in bondage and need the help of others to be loosed and let go.“Loose him and let him go,” were the words spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ at the tomb of Lazarus, a friend who had been dead for four days. John 11:43-44, “And when he had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus said unto His disciples, Loose him and let him go.”Many people are familiar with the story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. I believe this story is a type, or picture, of a person being raised from spiritual death. Ephesians 2:1 says, “And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” The word “quickened” means “made alive.” Only God can give life to the dead. I cannot quicken a man's spirit. I can give him the life-quickening Word of God, but I cannot save a man. Jesus is the Savior. I can preach the saving message, but Jesus is the only one who can spiritually raise people from the dead.Notice that even though Lazarus was alive, because he was raised from the dead, he was still bound. There are a lot of people who have been raised from the dead, spiritually speaking, who are still bound in some areas. Lazarus was still bound by graveclothes and even had a napkin covering his face. Jesus said to His disciples, “Loose him and let him go.” Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and His disciples loosed him from the graveclothes that still had him bound. You see, Jesus raised people from thSupport the show

CD1715 Respond not React, - Anger: Don't Drink the Poison!Don't give power to the enemy's words! If someone walked up to you with a big bag of stinky garbage and tried to give it to you, would you take it? Of course not! So why take the enemy's words of garbage and give him power? Remember the word of God says that our battle is not with flesh and blood, so that brings revelation of our opponent.Don't react, learn how to respond!Reacting is instantaneous! Responding is methodical with thought! Taking the garbage from the enemy and becoming angry with a reaction plays us into his hand. It's wasted energy, kind of like how a dog chases its tail. The devil wants to keep you and I going around and around in circles just like he did the children of Israel in the Old testament! Remember you own your emotions when you're in control rather than your emotions owning you! When the doctor taps your knee with the mallet to test your reflexes, your leg automatically swings, doesn't it? That's a reaction. It's an involuntary, uncontrolled action resulting from external stimuli of some sort. When you answer an email or a text, editing it for errors and choosing your words carefully, that's a response.*Text James 1:19 KJV Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:Q. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.Our creator the Lord got almighty has given us this unique ability to speak, words that create or destroy! CD 1709 Subtle SinsWhat comes to your mind when you think about the term " subtle sins"? The word of God tells us it's the little foxes that spoil the vine. Could it be it's the little or the subtle sins that opens the door for something greater to operate in and through our lives? Let's think about our thoughts just for a second. Our present day thoughts are the seeds of tomorrow's actions. If we are not careful in our thoughts, it will not be long before we fall into sin. The truth of the matter is after the thought seed has been planted, we do not know when it will grow, but sooner or later it will grow. We know that everything we see in the natural came from the vision of God in the spiritual. With that being said consider the following from the natural: When it comes to vegetables and fruits, some plants can take quite a long time to bear fruit after they're planted. Here are a few examples:- Asparagus: It can take up to 3 years for asparagus plants to produce spears that are ready for harvesting.- Avocado: An avocado tree can take anywhere from 3 to 15 years to produce fruit, depending on the variety and growing conditions.- Dragon fruit: Dragon fruit plants can take up to 6 years to start bearing fruit.- Pecan tree: A pecan tree can take up to 10 years to produce nuts. The problems of today, maybe even some strongholds that we are dealing with come from just a subtle sin. It is laid there silently but assuredly growing until it was time for the fruit to come forth.*Read Matthew 7:18 (KJV) A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. So we need to be very mindful of where our mind is being fed or should we say what is being sown in our minds, our hearts! The Bible instructs us to: *Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life! Let's talk about some subtle sins that are the seeds of thoughts that will produce the fruit of tomorrow's action: -Spiritual Pride: Thinking too highly of ourselves or being unwilling to accept correction or advice from others.*Proverbs 16:18 (KJV) Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.-Envy: Feeling resentful or unhappy about someone else's success, blessings, or possessions.*Proverbs 14:30 (KJV) A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.Gossip: Sharing rumors or negative information about others, often disguised as concern or prayer requests.*Proverbs 16:28 (KJV) A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.Selfishness: Putting our own needs and desires above the needs of others, or being unwilling to sacrifice for the greater good.*Philippians 2:3 (KJV) Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Support the show

Note “turmoil” also has to do with “confusion”:*Read 1 Corinthians 14:33 (KJV) For God is not the author of “confusion”, but “of peace”, as in all churches of the saints. The Lord saves and places those who would be saved into His church “of peace”!And finally note that “turmoil” has to do with “uncertainty”:*Read 1 Timothy 6:17 (KJV) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in “uncertaint riches”, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;#1 Peace with God*Reread Isaiah 9:6 (KJV) For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.*Read Romans 5:1, 8-10 (KJV) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.*Read Romans 8:16-17 & 31-32 (KJV) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 31 What shall we then say to these things? CD 1704 Position - Purpose - Power(March 2, 2025 P.M. Service)As we touched on lightly this morning, In this life that has been given to us by our Creator the Lord God Almighty we have a vacuum on the inside of us. We were created with that vacuum in order that we would hunger and desire for something greater than ourselves. If we do not seek the Lord, then the devil will come and fill that vacuum. You cannot stay neutral, you will either be full of the Lord or full of the devil. We will talk more about this vacuum in a future service. This evening we're going to learn about our position in Christ which reveals our purpose in Christ and helps us to receive the power from Christ to live his life through us! *Text: 2 Timothy 1:1-10 (KJV) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day; 4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy; 5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God; 9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, 10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:Praise God He as our Father has given us His Grace through Jesus Christ from the foundation of this earth age! He saves us and calls us into His Holy calling, all by His grace! Speaking of salvation “position”:#1 Position*Read Luke 15:24 (KJV) For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.*Read Ephesians 2:8 (KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Now see verse 6:*Read Ephesians 2:6 (KJV) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:Where is Jesus seated?*Read Colossians 3:1-3 (KJV) Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.We are seated on the right hand of power in Christ Jesus. So our “position” is not in question, rather our “position” is absolute in Christ Jesus! When we understand where we're living and operating from then it brings us to our second point our “purpose”:#2 PurposeSo I have a “purpose”? You mean there is more to this life than just getting by?How can I find my “purpose”?*Read Psalm 119:105 (KJV) Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.Support the show
CD 1700 Diagnosing and Defeating Double MindednessI heard this in my spirit: “Don't major in the minor and minor in the major”!In our natural lives which is a pattern of or from our spiritual lives in order to change something we have to first come to the understanding that something needs changing. If we're feeling ill in our bodies, or in our minds then we need a diagnosis. Only after we get a diagnosis can we defeat the problem. This morning we're going to be talking about diagnosing and then defeating double-mindedness. Double-mindedness is something that will hinder your entire life until you bring it under subjection to the Word of God. Double-mindedness will keep you from receiving the promises of God's word which is the truth that makes you free!*Text: James 1:1-8 (KJV) James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. [2] My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; [3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. [4] But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. [5] If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. [6] But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. [7] For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. [8] A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.#1 Divine Diagnosis *Reread James 1:8 (KJV) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.Note the Bible give us a clear definition of what the situation will appear like in your life if you are being double-minded! He said we would be "unstable" (ak-at-as'-tat-os) inconstant - this has to do with making a decision and then ruling and living from that decision. If we're always changing our minds, changing our words, and thus changing our actions then we have just been diagnosed with double mindedness! Can you imagine getting inside of your automobile and there were two steering wheels? How could the automobile be driven? The answer is it could NOT be driven with two drivers! Let Jesus drive, that leads us to our next point:#2 Divine Direction*Reread James 1:5 (KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.The Lord God gives direction to all who ask in faith. His wisdom is a revelation of direction for our daily lives. See Proverbs 3 and 6 He promises to direct our past then Psalms 16 and 11 it says he will show us the path!#3 Divine Deliverance*Read James 1:17 (KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.Q. How?(Read James 1:17 and 18)*Read James 4:7-10 (KJV) Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. [8] Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. [9] Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. [10] Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.Decree I take God of His Word! He will do what he said! I refuse double-mindedness. I will not be ruled by the outside but led and empowered from the inside!Closing Illustration: Starbucks has over 170,000 varieties Support the show
CD 1698 Head or Heart - Special Holy Spirit Message(02 FEBRUARY 2025) The Holy Spirit said:Today if you will let Me, I will teach you in your heart and bypass your head. If you will lay your head down and open up your heart, you will hear MyWords and you will have My promises. Then your heart can teach your head rather than your head holding your heart captive! *Ephesians 4:23-24 (KJV) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.*Romans 10:10-17 (KJV) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. [14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! [16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? [17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.*Mark 6:6 (KJV) And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.*Mark 9:24 (KJV) And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.*Proverbs 3:1-13,15-18 (KJV) My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: [2] For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. [3] Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: [4] So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. [5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. [7] Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. [8] It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. [9] Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: [10] So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. [11] My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: [12] For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. [13] Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. [15] She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. [16] Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour. [17] Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these; 9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. "This will go down in history as the Gulf Blizzard of 2025." The state of Louisiana saw a record-breaking snow total of over 10 inches in the city of New Orleans. Not to mention 8.9" officially fell over Pensacola, Florida. But Mobile, Alabama experienced a historic snowstorm this week, with 7.5 inches of snowfall . CD 1692 “Anger Management” - Secrets to Success Series - Week #2*Text Mark 3:1-7 - Note Jesus was angry! Anger itself is not necessarily bad; it is not necessarily wrong. God himself gets angry. What we need to consider is the object of our anger, the motive for our anger, and the outcome of our anger.God's anger, however, is directed against sin and unrighteousness. He blazes hot against evil. His anger, like ours, becomes a consuming fire, but its focus is to eradicate the sin so that the sinner can be restored.Read 1Peter 2:21-25Read James 1:19-20*Read Colossians 3:1-2 & 8-11 (KJV) Read Ephesians 4:26-27Closing Illustration: Steve Tran of Westminster, California, wanted to kill the cockroaches in his apartment once and for all. CD 1691 Claiming Christ's Correction Secrets to Success Series - Week #1With a raised hand: How many know that the Lord loves them? Did you know God gives us a sign of His love to us? Can you name some signs that God loves us? Can you name the most important sign of God's love given to us His church AFTER THE CROSS? Look at this verse please as you open your Bible to Hebrews chapter 12:Bro. Jason on screen: Revelation 3:19 (KJV) As many as I love, I “rebuke” (convicted - John 8:9) and chasten (to train up a child by education and discipline): be zealous therefore, and repent. You just testified that the Lord loves you! So with that testimony you can “Claim Christ's Correction”! Praise God we don't have to walk in darkness and stay the same!God's love letter to us is full of promises! But those promises will not do us any good unless we know them and learn how to claim them or appropriate them by faith! For instance Jesus tells His disciples that when the Holy Spirit will lead and guide into all truth (John 16:12-13). He told them He had much to say to them but they could not bear to hear it before the coming of the Comforter! Praise the Lord we are past Pentecost!*Text Hebrews 12:1-11 (KJV) Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? 10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.Paul explains that God's discipline is a sign of His love and commitment to our growth and holiness, and we should embrace it rather than resist it.Here in part Paul is pulling from the Old Testament:* Proverbs 3:11-12 (KJV) My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: 12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth. The Apostle Paul here in Hebrews makes it clear that “running the race with endurance” requires us being open to and receiving God's discipline, which is a sign of His love and commitment to our growth. In other words, we cannot ““run the race” well on our own strength or wisdom. We need God's guidance and correction to help us stay on the right path, avoid pitfalls, and grow in faith and character. This is why embracing “God's discipline”, rather than resisting it, is an eSupport the show
