Michael Michelini is an American who moved to Hong Kong in 2007, and has spent the years since then learning and sharing everything he can about how to do business in Asia. He is the Principal Consultant at Shadstone Ltd., a boutique consulting company specialized in business between the US and China, and he's the Founder of Global From Asia, a cross-border e-commerce community with 4 divisions: GFA Media (blog, podcast & more), GFA Events (Cross Border Summit, trips, meetups), GFA Platforms (experts platform, job board, marketplace and directory). Mike is an American social media & e-commerce specialist based out of Shenzhen. He came to China in late 2007 to source products for his e-commerce business. In 2012 he founded SocialAgent.me to help Western companies sell in the Chinese market through Social media. Late last year his startup was acquired by an app company Unchained Apps and is now the VP of Marketing and Business Development of a portfolio of apps such as WrittenChinese.com, TaskLabels, and of course Social Agent.
