Today Ivan and Julien couldn't decide on one topic, so they brought 3 to the table! Tell us if this is a good idea for our podcast because sometimes we feel as if we go a little long winded on our topics. They discuss Niel Degrasse Tyson's new book, Accessory to War, the Colin Kaepernick Nike ad, and the Hurricane Florence relief, or lack thereof. Want the .mp3? Are you a short-termer? You know someone who focuses on short term gains or outcomes. What if you could see a bigger vision? A mission almost. Something that felt like a purpose. It's NOT something most of us recognize immediately in our lives. I recall listening to an interview with Niel deGrasse Tyson when he talked about how his purpose and mission were crystal clear to him at a very early age and how he knew this clarity was uncommon for most people AND how thankful he was for it. It helped him when he encountered MANY obstacles in his path. Most of us have to work harder to see the sign posts and work toward a clear vision of our purpose. Here's the thing: it will become clearer AND you will always be able to see how your current and past experiences will add richness to it when it reveals itself. ALSO, beware that for most of us we have to #dothework to be #selfaware enough to see it and #makeithappen. This week's Quick Tips: pay attention and be curious and never give up on finding your purpose and THEN be constantly building upon it.
