Gold Nuggets in this Episode: “A business model is nothing but how an organization creates, captures, and delivers value. How they join together these different pieces in a business is the business model.” “Most entrepreneurs, what happens is they think there is a gap in the market, but they never look whether there is a market in that gap.” “Do business testing. Do a sample business testing to see if your assumptions are correct or not. And then, decide a business model based on that.” “90% of startups fail. Why? It's because it's all assumptions.” “A business coach should be looking at three things: giving the entrepreneur a third-party perspective, an accountability partner, and analyse the patterns within the organisation.” This is a podcast. Nobody can see Steve's hand movements, but maybe listeners can hear the air moving to help them visualise it. “You have a natural HR inside you.” “If you have one business model and one revenue model, it can get outdated due to technology at any time. You need to keep innovating newer revenue models to have your business sustain.” “Think of the revenue model side. Technology is giving immense potential for you to have different revenue models. “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.” - T.S. Elliott   Our guest is business coach, Joseph Sudhip. Joseph was born and raised in India. With hard work and education as an emphasis for getting ahead, Joseph went on to pursue a Bachelor in Commerce and Law, an MBA in International Business, become a Certified Management Accountant, and got certified as a Registered Corporate Coach. With extensive experience working in various industries with business owners and CEOs, Joseph decided to become a business coach, helping businesses grow and provide value as they succeed. Loving Your Work with Chris Kann - 5-28-17 - Mind Body Spirit Living Because we spend so much of our time “at work”, most of us have a desire to feel inspired and energized by the career or profession that we choose. Not everyone has a clear vision of what that will be at the beginning of their career, but we all hope that through the decisions we make on our path, we continue to develop a better understanding of what it is that we really love to do, and ultimately find ourselves doing work we enjoy!  What can we think about at the different stages of our career that can keep us connected to what we know enriches and fulfills us in our work?  In the midst of our busy lives, sometimes we can forget, so this week, Host Chris Kann takes the guest seat to share her thoughts on how we can find our way back to loving our work. Since June, 2013, Chris Kann has been the host of the Mind Body Spirit Living radio show, a manifestation of her passion for her own personal growth journey and the desire to inform and educate others seeking to live an inspired life. Re-Invigorating Work with Patricia Clason - 4-9-17 - Mind Body Spirit Living For most of us, we feel lucky to feel called to pursue a particular line of work, and to get the education and experience that allows us to master that work.  There is something satisfying about doing work you know you are good at, that you feel connected to, and that allows you to feel fulfilled. But what do you do when you stop feeling fulfilled by that work; when what used to inspire you no longer does? This is particularly challenging when you have spent years cultivating a specific area of expertise, or have worked for a company for a long time, and you have never really contemplated other options.  This week we begin a series of discussions about how we can Re-Invigorate Work. How can we get back to feeling excited about what we do, or make changes that will allow us to rediscover the energy and passion that we once felt for the way we make a living? Our guest this week brings her decades of perspective as a business owner and coach who will share her advice on how we can feel reinvigorated. For over forty years, Patricia Clason has traveled across the continent doing speeches, workshops and media appearances as a professional speaker, trainer, consultant, writer, and coach giving over 5,000 presentations for corporations, associations, government agencies and non-profit organizations.
