The Kolbe System™ is the only program which measures conation, which just means how people take action.  People are born with natural ways of doing things.  Here is a quick story to explain.I took the Kolbe assessment and had a session with Elizabeth to understand my results.  You really do need a consultant to walk you through the results. My entire life, my head is just constantly filled with ideas, every second I have THE NEXT BEST THING on this planet or something new to try, see or learn about.  My Mom, Nancy reacts to my ideas with what I believed was negativity.  I would sometime not share my ideas with her, I just didn't want to hear it from Negative Nancy as I called her.  She would get annoyed with me, her favorite saying was all you do is fly by the seat of your pants. After reviewing my assessment with Elizabeth, it was like a lightening bolt that changed how I saw those conversations with my mom.  Mom is the type of person who assesses risk, that is her natural way of doing things.  She wasn't being negative, she was concerned.  Knowing that I can see how my ideas would make her head spin.  I am forever grateful to Elizabeth. Imagine your team, working hard to support you and helping you grow.  How priceless would it be to TRULY know your team.  For you team to understand each other and work as a whole and utilize each other's natural ways of being, learning and doing.  Wouldn't it be kind and respectful to work within people's natural ways and enhancing them and empowering them. Let's Dig in!About My Guest, Elizabeth Cook: Elizabeth is a Productivity and Team Collaboration Consultant who works with entrepreneurs.  Using a tool called the Kolbe A™ Index, she helps business owners fast track their knowledge of how their team works best together so that they can reach solutions quickly with little frustration.  Contact Links for Elizabeth Cook:Website:  Elizabeth Cook ConsultingLinkedIn:  Elizabeth on LinkedIn  Click HERE for more information about the 7 Figure System Programs.

Do you believe in true love?  Do you wish it was a part of YOUR live?  Today we are talking with Dating Coach Jen Youngquist.  She's is going to help us better understand how to attract our Soul Mate Partner and enjoy a life of true love. I know I can't wait another second, so let's get right into it.    About our Guest, Jen Youngquist Jen is a dating coach, a yoga teacher, and energy expert. She has studied energy and transformation through yoga teacher training, certifications in Reiki and Naisha Ashian's Primus Activation, multiple shamanic workshops and her own energy practices. She's been through several coach training programs (Robbins-Madanes, Strategic Intervention, and is working through Sacred Depths with Joanna Lindenbaum). She is a native of Cincinnati, OH and lives there with her husband and her two kitties. Prior to meeting her husband, she had a really hard time with relationships. Starting at the age of 15 with a narcissistic psychopath, two busted proposals and several others that turned out to be some level of emotionally unavailable. Most of these relationships ended up sucking 2-4 years of her life. By the time she was 35, most of her friends, coworkers, and even younger cousins were all partnered up! She was beginning to think that maybe she was just not marriage material or that lasting love was not in the cards for her. That all changed when she decided to go on a journey to figure out how to shift this pattern. She discovered The Law of Attraction which gave her enough empowerment to make the changes necessary in order to attract the man that is now her husband.  When she started her coaching practice a few years later, she knew exactly who she wanted to help - other women that, like her, were feeling hopeless and discouraged when it came to finding lasting love. She created The Path to Partnership Program which is a 1:1 program that helps women figure out what is mucking up their attraction signal and shift it so they can find The One. Contact Info for our Guest:Website:  https://jenyoungquist.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/jenyoungquist/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jenyoungquist/The Path to Partnership FB Group  https://www.facebook.com/groups/pathtopartnership  Click HERE for more information about the 7 Figure System Signature Program. If you enjoy the Real Life Startup Podcast, subscribe here and share with your friends.

This is a replay of one of our popular episodes, be back from our break soon!Need a little help staying focused and getting stuff done!I wanted to share a simple technique I just learned about that helps me be more efficient, get more done with Zero Burn Out.It's so simple you probably won't believe that it works! Click HERE for more information about the ButcherBox.If you enjoy the Real Life Startup Podcast, subscribe here and share with your friends. TRANSCRIPTThe Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. Frustrated by how much time he wasted while he was “studying”, he used a kitchen timer shaped like a tomato (a pomodoro) to increase his productivity. The idea behind the concept is frequent breaks helps the brain to focus and increases mental agility & efficiency.  Sooo, What is the Pomodoro Technique?Basically, it involves working in 25 minute increments with a 5 minute break between each increment.   These intervals are called pomodoros. After four “pomodoros”, there's a longer 15-30 minute break. The Required Tools are:        Paper, Pen & a TimerKeep in mind this was meant to be a very simple technique, no need to make it complicated or more than what it was intended to be.1.      Pick a task to complete – To start, pick a task that you think you'll be able to complete during one pomodoro.  2.     Set the timer for 25 minutes3.     Work on your task until the timer goes off – Whenever you think of something unrelated to the task at hand, write it down, forget about it and continue with your task.  If you're interrupted, record the interruption, and postpone it. You can answer that e-mail or return that call later.4.    Check off your pomodoro – This will allow you to both log your work and feel a sense of accomplishment.5.     Mark down how many times you got distracted during the pomodoro6.    Take a 5 minute break – Get a drink, go for a walk, do whatever your brain needs to stop thinking about work.7.     After every forth pomodoro, take a 15-30 minute break Why This Technique WorksIt Improves Your FocusThe technique gives you permission to postpone interruptions and to focus only on the task at hand.  The frequent breaks give you a chance to recharge, so each time you sit down to work you're ready to go. And because you're only working in 25 minute increments, there's no chance of burning out. It's AppealingThe thought of sitting down to eight hours of solid work is daunting & unpleasant.  But sitting down to 25 minutes of work is much more approachable & less daunting.  This creates more motivation to start working and to keep going.Sitting down to work on one specific task in 25-minute increments is much more palatable. If you know you just have to write and schedule one blog post or newsletter, you're more likely to conquer the task and finish it than if you're looking at an entire to-do list.Rather than feeling like you have endless time to get things done and then ultimately ...Click here for full transcript and listen to episode:

Breaking up with a client is never easy.  But cutting ties with a difficult client is sometimes necessary. Sticking around in a draining or difficult relationship is much worse than NOT having that uncomfortable conversation.Positive & negative interactions we have with clients has a direct impact on the work we produce.  Not to mention, how it effects our mental health. If you're working with a difficult client, the unnecessary stress and frustration is most likely trickling down into other parts of your business and your life. Let's talk about how to break up with a client in a professional way.Click HERE for more information about the ButcherBox.If you use the links in this review to purchase, I will receive a commission at no additional cost to you.If you enjoy the Real Life Startup Podcast, subscribe here and share with your friends.TRANSCRIPT:There are many reasons a client might not be a good fit:  They make it difficult to get paid (or worse, they refuse to pay). They're not sure what they want and there's no clear direction, and they are never satisfied. They're over demanding and don't respect your boundaries. They're just disrespectful and treat you poorly.Sometimes in the beginning of our business we are eager to get started serving others and ignore the red flags.  I can tell you from experience working with a difficult client does not self correct and their behavior only escalates in the wrong direction.  Let's talk about what to do?  Here are 5 steps, or we can call it an action plan to remove yourself from the relationship and move on.#1 Review the ContractHaving a termination clause in your contract with each client is crucial.  No one anticipates having bad experiences, but they do happen and now you have some recourse to fall back on.  Here a few tips to include in your contract. For example: Be sure to pay attention to your stated term of notice that is required.        If you offer a 30 day notice you are obligated to continue working with this client 30 days after notifying them of the relationship termination.  So if you do not want to be tied to them an additional 30 days after terminating the relationship, change this clause.     Clauses about late payments or non-payments.     Scoop of work to be performed. These are great if there is anything that comes up you can direct your client to review the contract.  Let's say your client pays late or doesn't pay at all.  Have them refer to the contract and can provide them with a “warning” and state next infraction will lead to termination.  #2 Whatever you do, don't ghost them Regardless how difficult the client is, or awkward the conversation is, you are responsible to end things in a professional manner.I strongly believe in treating people how you want to be treated.  No one likes being ghosted, so don't do it, it's unprofessional and just rude.  We're so much better than that.See Episode Webpage HERE for the FULL Transcript.

Search engines look for elements including title tags, keywords, image tags, internal link structure. Google and other search engines also look at site structure and design, visitor behavior, and other external, off-site factors to determine how highly ranked your site should be. Taking all these factors into account, SEO basically drives two things — rankings and visibility. How Does SEO Work?Rankings:  are what search engines use to determine where to place a particular web page in the SERP (search engine results page).  Visibility:  describes how prominent a particular domain is in the search engine results. With high visibility, your domain is higher in Google's search result pages.   There is one more reason why you should be using SEO. The technique virtually helps you position your brand throughout the entire buying journey.Statics show that 94% of internet searches happen in a google search.  So of course, you want to rank high on the first page of their search results pages.  Research also showed that 77% of people research a brand before engaging with it.  So people not only search or information and products they also research you. How does Google know how to rank a page?Major search engines like Google have one single goal which is to provide users with the most relevant information and answers. To deliver the right information to users, search engines analyze two factors:The level of relevancy between the search engine queries or keyword searches and the content on a page.  Google and other search engines make assessments based on factors such as: topic or keywords. The Page Authority, or your website's popularity on the Internet. Google assumes that the more popular a page or resource is, the more valuable its content is.  So it would rank it higher. Why is SEO important?Everyone uses google search for information & products.  Let's say you want to learn more about “email open click rates”.  You go to google and You type in “email open click rates” and immediately have pages of results.

Work expands to fill the period of time available for its completion. Have you ever heard this statement? It was made in 1955, by Cyril Northcote Parkinson, a famous British historian and author. It's basically the “LAW” that explains why you can't get anything done. Parkinson's Law doesn't apply to just tasks and time management, it applies to everything.  It could be the solution you need to adding efficiency into your life.   It's a solution that sets limits and constraints into your life.  The human mind and body adapt quickly.  Remove the buffers and you'll find yourself performing at a higher level. The biggest Takeaway from Parkinson's Law is that restrictions or as I like to call it “discipline” can actually create freedom. Let's talk about it.If you enjoyed today's Podcast, Connect with me:     https://linktr.ee/KarenLConsulting     https://linktr.ee/KetoLivingYourWay
