When was the last time you actually sat down and reflected on where you're at?Not the "I'll think about it while I'm rushing through my to-do list" kind of reflection. I'm talking about actually sitting with yourself, asking the hard questions, and getting real about what's working, what's not, and where you're actually going.Today's episode is different. This is a full reflection exercise that I'm walking you through, both personally and professionally. I'm asking you the same questions I ask myself and my clients, and I'm sharing my own raw answers as we go.We're covering what made you proud this year (even if nobody noticed), where you drained yourself, what boundaries you slipped on, what surprised you about your growth, where you self-sabotaged, and what you actually want for next year. I'm also getting honest about where I overextended, under-resourced myself, and tried to pretend I wasn't human this year.Grab a journal or your notes app. You can listen and reflect as you go, or come back to this one quarterly. Either way, this is the clarity work that actually creates direction.00:46 Introduction06:03 Personal Reflection Questions14:10 Professional Reflection Questions20:49 Wins and Wake-Up Calls32:01 Facing Fears and Taking Risks33:39 Overextending and Setting Boundaries39:24 Personal Goals and Daily Life42:13 Becoming Your Future Self45:35 Sustaining Growth Without Burnout51:11 Long-Term Vision and Focus58:54 Reflection and DirectionTo join the Ambitious Network for free, click HERE. I'd love to hear from you 'text the show'Welcome back to the Treat Your Business podcast. It's just me, Katie Bell, with you for the next three weeks as I kick off a little solo series I'm calling “Beyond the Treatment Room.” I'll be honest, I was tempted to record a full episode reflecting on the first six weeks of being a mum, but I realised I'm still very much in the trenches. So, I'm parking the parenting wisdom for now and focusing on something that's really hit home for me lately, defining what success really means. If you've been running a clinic for any amount of time, you'll know how easy it is to get swept up in someone else's version of success. Instagram will have you believing you're not even a business owner unless you're hitting seven figures. But let's get real - success looks different for everyone. Whether your goal is to work three days a week and pick the kids up from nursery, or you want to smash through to seven figures and travel the world, your version of success is yours alone. In this episode, I'm sharing my own journey of redefining what success means, especially now I'm a mum. I'll talk about the trap of chasing borrowed success, how easy it is to get caught up in the hustle, and the real truth behind those shiny Instagram numbers. Spoiler alert: more revenue doesn't always mean more happiness. We'll dig into three big questions:What do you want your life to look like right now, in this season? How do you want to feel in your business? What impact do you want your clinic to have on your clients, your team, and your community?I'll also share some honest stories from my own business and maternity leave, including the reality of “maternity pay” as a business owner (spoiler: it's basically nothing), and why I've had to make my business work for my life, not the other way round. So, grab a cuppa, take 15 minutes this week to think about your own success statements, and let's start building a business that actually works for you.Key Takeaways:Your definition of success is unique to you - don't get caught chasing someone else's dream.Revenue is only one piece of the puzzle. Focus on profit, time, and how your business supports your life.Ask yourself what you want your life and business to look like, how you want to feel, and what impact you want to make.Build your business around your own version of success, not Instagram's.Episode Sponsor: Jane.appClinic management software and EMR that simplifies bookings, forms, and reminders so you can reclaim your evenings. "Peace is not something you wish for; it's something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away." — Robert FulghumEPISODE HIGHLIGHTS Peace Requires Surrender: True peace is achieved when we surrender our need to be right in favor of living in a state of peace, both with God and with others. The Power of Understanding over Agreement: In our relationships and internal journey, understanding is a higher goal than agreement. Understanding is about deep comprehension, while agreement is simply being on the same page. Kristen uses the "fairy dust" analogy to highlight the ethereal, spiritual nature of understanding. A Personal Goal is Essential for Peace: To practice self-control and maintain peace, we must have a clear, personal goal that we have chosen in partnership with God. This "why" or motivation helps us know what to say "yes" to and what to say "no" to. Peace is a Personal Possession: "Having peace" is possessive; it is something we carry and are responsible for. It is not an external condition but an internal resource we can draw from, even when faced with "pain points" and triggers. Community is Never Broken: Even when we feel distant from God, He is always extending an invitation to us. We simply need to choose to sit at His table again, knowing that the community with Him and with others was never truly broken. In this MANNA MASHUP: Kristen Wambach dives deep into the wonders of peace: "Peace Begins with Me." She contrasts understanding with agreement, emphasizing that the former is a deeper, more compassionate path. Finally, she underscores the importance of a written goal that is entirely our own, as it is the key to practicing self-control and maintaining peace in our lives. This episode is a raw, honest look at the messy reality of pursuing peace and how it is a personal possession rooted in a deep relationship with Jesus.

The Guilt-Free Future Planning method helps prioritize personal goals that consistently get pushed aside when we're busy making things happen for everyone else. From spren to highstorms, the episode is packed with crunchy mechanics, deep lore, and just enough existential dread to make Brandon Sanderson proud. Topics include: The Plot Die, a unique mechanic that lets narrative tension escalate like a Shardbearer duel. A look at the Personal Goals system, designed to reward character growth beyond “I punch it harder now.” The complexity curve compared to D&D 5e and Pathfinder—spoiler alert: this one's for the lore nerds and narrative junkies. You're reviewing your numbers monthly (go you!), but what about taking a step back to see the big picture? In this episode, Danielle walks you through the power of a quarterly financial review, one of the most practical ways to make smarter decisions, spot real trends, and align your business goals with your personal ones. She breaks down the difference between monthly and quarterly reviews (the micro vs. macro view each provides), what numbers to look at quarterly, and how to analyze those numbers. All you need is 90 minutes every 90 days to use your financials as a tool for success and lead your business with deeper clarity and confidence. Key Takeaways: Monthly vs. Quarterly Reviews: Monthly reviews help you manage the day-to-day, while quarterly reviews are your roadmap, zooming out to see long-term trends and course correct if needed. Revenue Trends & Profitability: Don't just focus on sales. Understand where your income is coming from and if it's actually making you money. Operating Expenses: Your top five expenses tell the real story of your business priorities. Make sure your spending aligns with your vision. Personal + Business Alignment: Your personal and family goals should be part of your financial strategy. If they're out of sync, tension (and burnout) is bound to follow. Data > Emotion: Reviewing your numbers quarterly helps you strip away the emotional swings of entrepreneurship and make clear-headed decisions based on actual performance. Topics Discussed: (00:53 – 02:05) Monthly vs. Quarterly Reviews (02:05 – 04:16) What to Include in a Quarterly Review (04:16 – 05:48) Growth vs. Profit (05:48 – 07:01) Aligning Business with Personal Goals (07:01 – 08:50) Tracking & Analysis of Revenue Trends (08:50 – 10:15) Reviewing Operating Expenses & Spending Trends (10:15 – 12:19) Understanding Your Net Income & Cash Flow (12:20 – 12:44) Reviewing How Much You're Paying Yourself & Your Team (12:45 – 14:25) Comparing Budget vs. Actual Kickstart's Quarterly Review Checklist: Last quarter compared to year-to-date Growth vs. profit & ROI Personal vs. business financial alignment Profit margin & revenue streams Operating expenses + top 5 spending categories Net income & monthly/quarterly patterns Cash flow health + reserve analysis Owner's pay & team compensation Budget vs. actuals Action Steps: Blockout 90 minutes of CEO time Gather your Snapshot and financial statements Use your quarterly checklist to walk through the process Set 1–3 priority shifts or goals for the next 90 days Schedule your next review (and that call if you're a Kickstart client!) Host Jeremy C. Park talks with Katherine Parker, Founder of the Boundless Kids, and Andy Bailey, CEO and Founder of Boundless, who both highlight the growth and development of Boundless Kids, a nonprofit organization teaching children the power of setting and achieving personal goals, having a growth mindset, personal accountability, staying true to the commitments they make to themselves and others, and being proactive rather than reactive to achieve more than they ever thought possible. During the interview, Andy shares how Boundless Kids was an outgrowth of their work with Boundless, which takes high performing adults to new levels of performance through a structured program designed to convert dreams into action. As they helped more adults and couples grow their abilities and live a more purposeful, results-driven Boundless Life, parents asked if they could offer a similar program for their kids. So, Boundless Kids takes their proven Boundless model and a similar approach to help children and change their perspectives. They use a structured program with online elements and one-on-one coaching sessions with a certified Boundless coach. Episode #965 Feel like you're just going through the motions—with no real direction? If you're waking up each day wondering, “Is this it?”, you're not alone. A lot of guys struggle with setting a clear vision for their lives and marriages. And when you don't have one, you end up drifting... reacting instead of leading. In this episode, Chris and I talk about why so many men avoid setting a personal and relational vision—and how to actually get started (even if you feel stuck or overwhelmed). We break it down into a practical process that helps you define what you do want by first identifying what you don't. From sex to shared goals, from where you live to how you connect—it's all on the table. We also share real stories from the Alpha Reset and how just six weeks after setting a vision, one man's entire life shifted—including his marriage and where he lived. This isn't some fluffy “manifest your dream life” stuff—it's a grounded, actionable approach to leading with clarity and creating the life and relationship you actually want. __________ Hungry for more? Daily Study: Most times when we don't achieve our goals it's because we set those goals without input from God. Setting a goal without a word from God equals trying to throw a rock at the moon. Allow God to set your goals, and watch your goal achievement rate dramatically increase to almost 100%.
