Gratitude is easy when life is calm. It gets harder when the news is ugly, people are hurting, and it feels like the world is coming apart. We start with Psalm 100, a psalm of thanksgiving that doesn't ask for a polite smile. It commands a response: shout, worship, sing, acknowledge, and enter God's presence with thanks because His love and faithfulness endure. Then we ask the uncomfortable question that follows from real worship: do we repent and do we praise, or do we drift into silence and excuses? From there we get personal and practical. We pray for listeners who feel anxious, depressed, alone, or brokenhearted, and we pray for leaders in the pulpit and in government to rule with wisdom and fear of God. We also pull a clear marriage lesson from Song of Solomon: you don't “belong” to your phone, your entertainment, or your social circle the way you belong to your spouse. That covenant mindset cuts through modern marriage pressure and calls us back to loyalty, affection, and priority. The centerpiece is Luke 24 and the Road to Emmaus, where grief and confusion meet a risen Jesus who walks alongside His followers before they recognize Him. We trace how Jesus opens the Scriptures, confronts doubt, and even eats broiled fish as a grounded, physical witness to the resurrection. Along the way, we touch on cultural warning signs like attacks on churches, honor courage through a Medal of Honor story, and revisit Thomas Jefferson's own words about God's providence and guidance. If you want a Christian podcast episode that ties Scripture, repentance, gratitude, marriage, leadership, and cultural reality into one thread, press play. Send us Fan Mail~ Does your relationship with God feel like something you're trying to achieve? If you have ever wondered why doing more and working harder doesn't result in the deeper relationship you desire with God, there's actually a really good explanation for why this happens and a way through. In this episode, I sit down with Kari Eliza, the voice behind the Instagram account Held Right Here, where she helps parents share God with their children in ways that feel connected and deeply relational. Kari is an American living in Norway with her Norwegian husband and two kids, and she brings one of the most honest and tender perspectives on faith I have encountered in a long time. What started for Kari in wanting to support her highly sensitive daughter became a healing journey of her own, and it changed everything about how she experiences God.This conversation is for you if you have always believed the right things but still feel like you are working hard to earn God's love and approval. Here is a glimpse into our conversation:Why growing up in a Christian home can still produce a performance posture with God, even when your parents genuinely loved JesusHow striving shows up in our bodies, not just our behavior, and why renewing your mind alone may not be enoughWhat it actually feels like when your nervous system begins to exhale in God's presence, and why that changes everythingKari's story didn't have a quick fix. It was a two-year journey of slow, steady transformation. And it is one of the most hopeful things I have heard. If you are tired of your relationship with God feeling like something you have to manage, this episode is a good place to start. If you are pursuing a God-shaped dream and doing it mostly alone, I want you to know there is a place for you. Does God actually have a specific plan for your life? This is the inaugural Spiritual Misfits 'roundtable', and Will is joined by three friends of the pod — Caro, Mitch, and Becca — to wrestle with a question that came straight from the listener Facebook group. It's one of those topics that can land very personally for many of us: how much of the inertia, anxiety, and lost time that people carry came from being told to wait for divine direction that never came? The conversation moves through inherited frameworks, purity culture's meticulous God, the gendered politics of who gets the prophecy, and whether the whole question needs reframing — from what is God's will for my life to what is God doing among us, and how do we join in.Want to reach out and let us know your thoughts or suggestions for the show? Are You Accepted by God Even When You Feel Unworthy?───Do you struggle to believe that God truly accepts you—despite your failures, your shame, your worst moments? Many believers know they're forgiven, but live as if they're still on the outside looking in, unworthy of God's love. Today's devotion strips away that lie and reveals one of Scripture's most liberating truths: your acceptance before God has nothing to do with you and everything to do with Christ. You are made accepted in the Beloved—fully redeemed, completely forgiven, and deeply loved according to the riches of His grace.Pastor Roderick Webster opens Ephesians 1:6–7 (KJV) to show you what it truly means to be accepted in Christ and how that transforms the way you live, worship, and surrender to God.───In This Episode:Why you are not acceptable in yourself—and why that's actually good newsWhat it means to be "accepted in the Beloved"—and how Christ makes that possibleThe cost of your acceptance: Jesus paid it all; you paid nothingPropitiation, redemption, and forgiveness—what these words mean for you todayHow acceptance in Christ becomes a lifestyle of worship and surrenderWhy a surrendered life always brings glory to GodPractical steps to live as if you're fully accepted, even when your feelings say otherwisePassages explored: Ephesians 1:6–7 | Romans 3:24–25 | Philemon 1:17 | Matthew 3:16–17 (all KJV)───Key Scripture:"To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved." — Ephesians 1:6 (KJV)───Watch / Listen:https://youtu.be/Xim_2FMrBIkContinue the series: Words From The Word — All Spiritual Blessings: A Devotional Journey Through Ephesians (KJV)───Share this episode with someone who needs to know they are fully accepted in Christ—right now, exactly as they are.#WordsFromTheWord #KJV #AcceptedInChrist #Grace #GodsLove

He also talks about in business and in life, we need to show mercy in abundance. Kristen LeValley, author of "Growing Up Saved," talked about being raised in Christian surroundings, but due to her disability she felt misunderstood and it almost drove a wedge between her and God. She talks about staying close to God in spite of the tensions and confusion. The Reconnect with Carmen and all Faith Radio are made possible by your support. Give now: Click here

What does a real move of God look like and how do you recognize it before everyone else does?In this powerful message Pastor Micaiah teaches how moves of God often begin with rejection, are recognized by faith, and ultimately reveal God's purpose and power. Drawing from Psalm 118 and Southridge's 12-year testimony, this sermon will challenge you to see what God is doing in your life - even when others don't. Hey Mama, We know true peace can only come from the One Who Is Peace. If we want peace, we must seek God first. Trouble is, it is easy to become consumed by the busyness of motherhood and life. Maybe you want to spend more time in God's word, but then someone gets sick, or you over-sleep, or your carefully crafted schedule suddenly morphs into chaos. However, I have learned that no matter how busy my schedule, I can find at least 10 minutes each day to spend with God, and you can too. It's time to restore calm in chaos, one step at a time. In Mark 15:40–47, we meet quiet but courageous faith at the foot of the cross. While the disciples have scattered, faithful women remain watching, and an unexpected figure—Joseph of Arimathea—steps forward to publicly identify with Jesus in His death. When hope seems buried, God is still at work through faithful obedience. Even in the silence of the tomb, God is preparing resurrection. In honor of my book relaunch, I am sharing this special STRENGTH acrostic episode that I recorded in 2023 around the one-year birthday of my first edition of Depth. You are going to learn so much for Evelyn Sherwood! Have you ever felt the presence of God? Have you ever felt Him close to you? I know for me, I felt the presence of God the most in the middle of my hard seasons: my divorce, the loss of my friend, and my miscarriage. Maybe you can relate. This week on the podcast, I am so excited to have Evelyn Sherwood. She is a friend of mine who sadly has walked through many hardships. One of the things we talk about today is just how much she felt the presence of God in the middle of this hard season. She actually says this amazing quote (I am going to give you a little sneak peek because it is so good). She says, "The sweetness of His presence far surpassed the pain of my suffering." Evelyn has so much wisdom to share with you. So, we are going to be going through the acrostic. Today we look at S which stands for Seek God and Invite Him Into the pain. I am so excited for you to hear the wisdom from Evelyn of how she was able to seek God and invite Him into the middle of her pain. She went through an intense 18 month season where there was one storm after another, so you do not want to miss the truth she shares! Below are the other letters from the STRENGTH acrostic in my Depth book! I will be showing all the interviews over on YouTube- one each week! This week, T. Louise gets real about the weight of walking with God when life feels heavy. Even after trusting God through job loss, uncertainty, and waiting seasons, she admits — faith isn't always easy. Sometimes it's a fight between what you feel and what you know to be true.In this raw and honest episode, T. Louise shares how the enemy uses doubt and discouragement to distort your view of God and yourself. But even when your emotions say “give up,” God says “trust Me.” Through this conversation, you'll be reminded that your feelings don't define your faith — obedience does.
You're praying. You're trying to stay hopeful. But deep down, you're wondering, “What if it never happens for me?”This week, we're joined by our dear friend Dr. Sarah Denny Lorio — a bioethicist, speaker, and truth-teller — for a heartfelt conversation about the ache of waiting — and how to trust God when it feels like everyone else's story is moving faster than yours.Sarah opens up about her own long waiting season, what it taught her about surrender, and how she finally began to believe that God's timing was not a punishment, but protection. We talk about:Healing bitterness and disappointment with GodThe difference between striving and surrenderThe sacred, slow beauty of becoming who you're meant to beIf you're in a season that feels slow, this one will help you rest in the truth that God's not late — He's right on time.
Have you ever felt like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling? Like you're crying out to God, but heaven feels silent? I've been there — in those seasons where it feels barren, heavy, and like nothing's moving. But friend, here's what I've learned: God is never silent. He's speaking — even when we can't hear it clearly. And sometimes, the greatest act of faith you can make is to praise your way through the valley.
Trusting God even on Mondays
Even in our darkest moments, God's mercy meets us where we are. From Jonah's cry in the belly of the fish, we learn that despair can turn into direction when we embrace God's mercy, practice gratitude, and trust that obedience leads to purpose. Pain with God's presence is better than comfort without Him because His love never fails to find us.

Gospel Daily with Josh Weidmann Living For The Living God, Even When... Part 2 Series: Daniel: Devoted Scripture: Daniel 6:12-28 Episode: 1299 In Daniel 6:12–28, the officials confront King Darius with Daniel's disobedience to the decree, forcing the king—despite his admiration for Daniel—to follow the law and have him thrown into the lions' den. Darius spends the night in anguish, fasting and hoping for Daniel's deliverance. At dawn, he rushes to the den and is overjoyed to find that God sent an angel to shut the lions' mouths, keeping Daniel unharmed because of his innocence and faithfulness. In response, Darius has the accusers and their families cast into the den, where they are immediately killed. The king then issues a decree honoring the God of Daniel, recognizing His power and eternal dominion. Key themes include God's protection, deliverance through faith, and divine justice and authority.

Out of jealousy, the other officials plot against Daniel but can find no fault in him—he is trustworthy and blameless.
