Hey Strangers, #openai #sue #snitching July 13 (Reuters) - OpenAI whistleblowers have filed a complaint with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, calling for an investigation over the artificial intelligence company's allegedly restrictive non-disclosure agreements, according to a letter seen by Reuters. "Given the well-documented potential risks posed by the irresponsible deployment of AI, we urge the Commissioners to immediately approve an investigation into OpenAI's prior NDAs, and to review current efforts apparently being undertaken by the company to ensure full compliance with SEC rules," according to the letter, which was provided to Reuters by the office of Sen. Chuck Grassley. The AI company allegedly made employees sign agreements that required them to waive their federal rights to whistleblower compensation, according to the letter. Growing up in the hip-hop culture, there were plenty of trends and movements that, when you look back on them today, you scratch your heads and ask, "What was I thinking when i was rapping that!?" One of those trends that still ensnares us today is the Stop Snitching era. Coined by a rapper in the late 2000's, the movement made civilians who weren't apart of the street life, unwilling participants when illegal activities happened in our neighborhoods. Fast forward to today, and we still see the residue and damage that this sentiment created within predominantly melanin communities all across the U.S. Listen in as we give the Lord's response to this activity from His Word, and why we believe that through hip-hop music, we have cursed ourselves with the messages that blare from the speakers and headphones of people everywhere. First, the drain wouldn't drain. Then a week later she called to see if he could get a bird out of the chimney. This week she called because her washing machine wasn't working, and she didn't know what to do. Brenda says no more, tell her to call a handyman. He says that he's being neighborly plus, after the divorce he offered to help if she needed it. She has two small kids and a full-time job, he just wants to help. Would you have an issue with this? The “stop snitching” phenomenon is a social epidemic that is affecting inner cities from coast to coast. These street politics have an adverse effect on the way individuals in the inner city view cooperation with police. With hip hop culture claiming a larger stake on the global stage, and mainstream artists sparking attention by denouncing cooperation with authorities while reproving others that choose to do so, this research examines if a relationship exists between individuals that adhere to the “code of silence” and self-professed hip hoppers. Tom speaks with BaltimoreCity States Attorney Marilyn Mosby. Last week she announced a new initiative in the Victims and Witnesses Services Unit, which was established as part of the State’s Attorney’s Office more than 40 years ago. It’s been 15 years since the underground film Stop Snitching made the rounds of some of Baltimore’s most impoverished neighborhoods. It featured gang members urging witnesses to stay silent when asked by the police to cooperate in criminal investigations. Police and prosecutors say that the ‘Stop Snitching’ mentality is still one of the major barriers they face when investigating many cases of violent crime.

There is a code that goes untold in the streets. This code is something that was instilled in many of us as a child, you know "DONT BE A TATTLE TALE" was something even lil white kids were told. But in the black community, it carries well over into adult age, especially in the HOOD. DON'T SNITCH! It's just that simple ya dig. If you see someone do something that is against the law, you don't tell the police. The rule is simple, yet complicated at the same time ya dig. Because this rule is SUPPOSED to be in effect if you are involved in illegal activity, and it is SUPPOSED to come with a punishment of some sort if it's broken. The PROBLEM with the STOP SNITCHING rule and campaign is this: IT SEEMS TO ONLY BE UPHELD WHEN IT DOESN'T INVOLVE YOU GOING TO JAIL!! You see as much as people want to "keep it real" you never really know whether you are the "SNITCH" type until some REAL PRESSURE is on your back. It's one thing to turn and look the other way when the cops are looking for someone you know for something petty. Thats not the same as when they are looking for someone because they did something to YOU and YOURS, or when YOU are facing PRISON TIME. I know all the wanna be thugs and hood people are gonna have an OPINION about this (see the last episode for OPINIONS) but at the end of the day, I think EVERYONE HAS THE CAPACITY TO BE A SNITCH IF PUT IN A CERTAIN SITUATION! Here are the questions: 1) DO YOU THINK IT'S EVER OKAY TO BE A SNITCH NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION IS? 2) HAVE YOU EVER HAD TO SNITCH ON SOMEONE TO SAVE YOURSELF OR PROTECT A LOVE ONE? 3) DO YOU THINK IT'S WRONG TO TELL PEOPLE IN THE HOOD NOT TO REPORT CRIMES, AKA STOP SNITCHING? 4) IF SOMEONE IN YOUR FAMILY DID SOMETHING WRONG AND THE POLICE WAS LOOKING FOR THEM WOULD YOU HELP? DOES IT MATTER WHAT THEY DID? 5) IS IT RIGHT TO TELL YOUR CHILD NOT TO BE A TATTLE TALE?
