Madam, Deborah Jeane Palfrey.[2] Henry Vinson, author of Confessions of a D.C. Madam, wrote that Sibley "had to contend with the feds judicial chicanery and sleight of hand."[3]In 2008, The Florida Bar suspended Sibley's right to practice law in that state for three years.[4] Sibley was later determined to be a vexatious litigator.[5]In 2012, Sibley unsuccessfully sued President Barack Obama, alleging that he was not a natural-born citizen.[6][7]2016 Presidential ElectionIn 2016, Sibley, who claims to have Palfrey's phone records, unsuccessfully attempted to have her records unsealed.[8] Sibley claims the information they contain would be highly relevant to voters in the upcoming 2016 presidential election.[6][7]In February 2016, Sibley sued then-Chief Judge Richard W. Roberts, and his clerk, for failing to file his motion to lift the restraining order (gag order) that prevents Sibley from releasing her records.[9][10]Sibley then requested that the U.S. Supreme Court release him from the lower court's restraining order, stating: "To be clear, if Sibley is not allowed to file his Motion to Modify the Restraining Order and thereafter does not promptly receive a fair and impartial hearing on that Motion, he will justifiably consider the Restraining Order void as a result of being denied such a hearing by the District Court, the D.C. Donald Trump and his Department of Justice just keep losing in court. In a new ruling, DC Federal District Court Judge James Boasberg denied the DOJ's demand to withdraw his restraining order prohibiting deportation of Venezuelan immigrants under the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.In a second related legal development, a DC appeals court heard oral argument about the legality of Judge Boasberg's temporary restraining order. And appeals court Judge Patricia Millet made a very pointed and devastating statement during the oral argument that called out just how wrong Trump's conduct was in deporting people without providing them the constitutionally required notice and opportunity to be heard. If you're interested in supporting our all-volunteer efforts, you can become a Team Justice patron at: / glennkirschner If you'd like to support Glenn and buy Team Justice and Justice Matters merchandise visit:https://shop.spreadshirt.com/glennkir...Check out Glenn's website at https://glennkirschner.com/Follow Glenn on:Threads: https://www.threads.net/glennkirschner2Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/glennkirschner2Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/glennkirsch...Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/glennkirschn...TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/glennkirschner2See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

So, we would like to encourage anyone who is able to join us at the RRB to "clap out" staff, with signs of support. If you're able to bring extra packing materials and / or drinks and snacks please do. Are we experiencing a "constitutional crisis?" I explore the intricacies of legal procedures involving the challenge of executive actions, particularly focusing on the recent controversies surrounding President Trump's administration and its handling of governmental directives. I break down the essential concepts of standing, temporary restraining orders, and judicial review, illustrating how the legal system is designed to handle such conflicts. Be assured that the reported "crisis" is part of the normal legal process and highlights the resilience of our constitutional framework. Adversarial debates can lead to meaningful resolutions in the judicial system. And understand these conflicts are crucial for developing landmark Supreme Court decisions. Here's a quick breakdown of key takeaways:Understanding Legal Procedures: The process of challenging government actions through courts is a fundamental right. From filing lawsuits in district courts to potential escalations to the U.S. Supreme Court, these steps are essential in maintaining the checks and balances within our government.Temporary Restraining Orders Explained: Often a hot topic in legal discussions, Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) are pivotal in halting government actions temporarily, allowing the courts to deliberate on potential constitutional violations without causing irreparable harm to those affected.Historical Context and Resolution: Our legal system is designed to withstand conflicts and evolve through landmark decisions. While today's media might intensify the narrative, historical precedents show that such legal debates have long been pathways to clarification and resolution.Submit your questions to www.lawyertalkpodcast.com.Recorded at Channel 511.Stephen E. Investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell sat down with Mica Francis' divorce attorney Regina Ward of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to talk about Mica's case and the dozens of lawsuits JP Miller has now filed against protesters and content creators. In the interview, Regina talked about Mica's request for a restraining order against JP and why it was dismissed — PLUS she revealed that at the time of Mica's death Mica was awaiting her second restraining order hearing to stop JP from allegedly harassing and stalking her. Also on the show, Regina discussed her newest case … representing former Solid Rock Ministries church member Sam Rickman in his countersuit against JP. Last week, Regina filed an EXPLOSIVE response to one of the dozens of lawsuits now filed by JP and his cohorts. In his typical chaotic way, JP Miller has opened a Pandora's Box and he's not going to like what awaits him in court… Premium Members get additional discussions on the inadequate support for domestic violence victims in Horry County, South Carolina, highlighting the defunct Casa organization and the insufficient funding for a new shelter despite abundant resources allocated elsewhere. We'll also pivot to the legal strategies deployed by Regina in Rickman's defense and counterclaim, specifically in magistrate court, to challenge the pastor's claims of financial damages and the questionable evidence presented. Regina is bringing a full bore legal battle exposing the pastor's potentially frivolous lawsuits, emphasizing the importance of proper evidence and procedure within the legal system... From romance to rage, adoration online to in-person obsession, this episode is a cautionary tale about stalking. Stalking stories have captured the country's attention with hugely popular shows that follow encounters that spark fixation but it's not always fiction. We'll explore the challenges victims often face seeking safeguards while living in fear of potential physical harm. Is a restraining or protective order just a piece of paper? Or a powerful first tool for the victim's protection? We'll get an inside look in the mind of stalkers/abusers. A handsome, young, fitness trainer is being stalked by a female stranger who tells us why she won't stop. We'll meet a woman who at just 18 ended a summer fling that drove the man to intense harassment and murder of a different woman and we'll meet a father whose daughter was killed by her ex with an ax, despite a protective order.
