I'll be talking about the games from Sunday's Week 14 matchups. So many games that looked they were going the other way, so many games with back and forth scoring, and so many games that we never saw coming! Come on IN and stick along for the ride! This is Sports... OUTSIDE the Box!
On today's show, hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are joined by Chip Brierre (ABC7) for a look ahead to Sunday's Week 14 game against the Green Bay Packers, which is of course the first of four games that the Washington Redskins need to win consecutively if they want to, and I can't believe we're saying this... win the division and head to the playoffs. That's right; with the Redskins currently 3-9 and seemingly staring down the barrel of a top five draft pick three quarters of the way through the NFL season, the rest of the NFC East is such a cornucopia of dysfunction that the Redskins are still alive! And if the Redskins can go into Lambeau Field at 1pm on Sunday and pull off an unlikely upset, then the run home from there suddenly becomes bizarrely achievable with games at home against the Eagles and Giants, and a penultimate week 17 battle in Jerry World against the listless Cowboys.
Dayton (@Dayton_Brown_) goes solo to give you all of the stats, injuries, matchups, x factors, past head-to-heads, and much more for Sunday's Week 11 division matchup between the Saints and Bucs!
Cam Newton's career in Carolina might be over after the Panthers announced Tuesday he'd be heading to IR. JP Finlay, Mitch Tischler and an-eventually-in-the-car John Keim make up this pre-Giants game edition of Redskins Talk. First, the three hosts answer the all-important question about Sunday's Week 8 matchup — is it a trap game? There's plenty of reason for concern, at least according to some in the group. Then, they give their predictions on who plays and who doesn't at MetLife Stadium before getting into a brief chat about whether the 'Skins should explore a trade and at which position. Next, they move on to over/unders, which includes a low number for Alex Smith and an intriguing one for Saquon Barkley. The last you'll hear from these three comes from the weekly "How the Game Will Unfold segment." Finally, you'll get JP's 1-on-1 with Ryan Kerrigan, where the pass rusher answers questions about how this defense compares to past ones he's played on, a special thing that's going on at Purdue and his level of excitement about being a father in the near future. If you like podcasts where Mitch and JP brag about their fun Saturday in NYC and JP asks Kerrigan about constantly being held, then this is the episode for you.

Coming off an exciting win over the Chiefs, hopes were high the Jets could keep the momentum going in Week 14. The Denver Broncos entered this game playing terrible football. Unfortunately, a game against the Jets was just what the doctor ordered for Denver. The Broncos defeated New York 23-0 in Sunday's Week 14 game dropping the Jets to 5-8 and likely putting the finishing touches on their Playoff hopes. Despite how things looked on paper, there were plenty of reasons to be concerned about this matchup going in. The Jets failed to execute on a number of early plays and things just snowballed from there. We will talk about all of this on today's podcast along with the struggles of key players, namely Morris Claiborne and the offensive line. We will also talk about where the Jets go from here. There might not be much of a decision to make as Josh McCown broke his hand, which might mean the end of his season. Even in a world where that didn't happen, it probably would be time to get some younger players experience. We will discuss this on today's show. Learn more about your ad choices.
