Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst and Steelers writer from SteelersNow.com, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast, and is joined by Nick Farabaugh of the Locked on Pitt podcast and SteelersNow.com. The Pittsburgh Steelers saw Najee Harris make a strong statement with his rookie season in 2021. But there are aspects to his game that must improve if he's going to become an elite NFL running back. A big part of that leap will come from his vision, but there are also aspects to the Steelers offense with the offensive line, younger, more mobile quarterbacks, and an offense with more vertical threats. Also, after attending the Steelers' press conference for the announcement of Heinz Field being switched to Acrisure Stadium. Art Rooney II revealed how the new deal gives the Steelers a lot more money than before, and how that can help the Steelers keep their stadium in the North Shore of Pittsburgh. Locked On Steelers – Daily Podcast On The Pittsburgh Steelers
Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast. The Pittsburgh Steelers' stadium is no longer named Heinz Field, and now will be called Acrisure Stadium for the next 15 years. But what led to an insurance company from Michigan taking over for a historic Pittsburgh company like Heinz? The answer is in the naming rights contract that pays the Steelers $150 million over the next 15 years, a price Heinz couldn't afford. It also points to Steelers minority owner Thomas Tull's involvement as a Chairman for Acrisure. Chris Carter lists other suggestions like Iron City Beer, Primanti's Sandwiches and other famous Pittsburgh companies Steelers fans wanted to see over Acrisure. Meanwhile, a caller asks how vital it is for Mike Tomlin to get a winning record in his first year without Ben Roethlisberger. But the truth is, Mike Tomlin is already 18-15-1 without Roethlisberger. That's 34 games--two full seasons--and Tomlin already has a winning record with backups. What he could do with Mitch Trubisky and/or Kenny Pickett could be even better.
