The greatest revenge is success.
The GmiasWorld's Podcast is an absolute gem in the world of podcasts. Hosted by Gmia, this show is a perfect blend of hilarious entertainment and insightful discussions about the NFL and sports in general. I have been a fan of Gmia's videos for years while playing Madden Ultimate Team and venting my frustration at EA, but his podcast takes his content to a whole new level.
One of the best aspects of The GmiasWorld's Podcast is Gmia himself. His comedic timing and delivery are impeccable, and he has a knack for telling it like it is while keeping his audience thoroughly entertained. His fresh material and proper skills make every episode a joy to listen to. Additionally, his chemistry with Mrs.Gmia when she makes appearances on the podcast adds even more humor and entertainment value.
Furthermore, Gmia truly knows what he's talking about when it comes to the NFL and sports in general. His insights are spot-on, making him one of the best in the business. He doesn't shy away from speaking his mind, which adds an authentic and genuine touch to every discussion.
While The GmiasWorld's Podcast is fantastic overall, there are few aspects that could be improved upon. Sometimes, the conversations can go off on tangents or get too casual, which may not appeal to some listeners looking for more structured discussions. However, this laid-back approach also contributes to the relaxed and enjoyable vibe of the show.
In conclusion, The GmiasWorld's Podcast is a must-listen for any NFL fan or sports enthusiast who appreciates both humor and insights. Gmia's ability to entertain while keeping it real sets him apart from others in the genre. With its mix of comedy gold and genuine knowledge about sports, this podcast has all the potential to become one of your favorites. Keep up the great work!

Somehow the Titans came away with the win over the Dolphins, who were tied with the Ravens for the top seed in the AFC entering Week 14. Quarterback Will Levis led the Titans on a four-play, 64-yard drive that started on Tennessee's 36-yard line with just over two minutes left. DERRICK HENRY LATE TD COMPLETES TITANS COMEBACK VS DOLPHINS! GIANTS WIN AGAIN! NFL WEEK 14 2023 DERRICK HENRY LATE TD COMPLETES TITANS COMEBACK VS DOLPHINS! GIANTS WIN AGAIN! NFL WEEK 14 2023 DERRICK HENRY LATE TD COMPLETES TITANS COMEBACK VS DOLPHINS! GIANTS WIN AGAIN! NFL WEEK 14 2023 The drive was capped off with a 3-yard Derrick Henry touchdown run, his second of the night, to give the Titans the one-point lead. It was Levis' first fourth-quarter, come-from-behind scoring drive. QB breakdown: Levis turned in his first 300-yard passing performance, and his 327 passing yards were the most by a rookie in "Monday Night Football" history. Levis continuously stood in the pocket with the pass rush bearing down on him and delivered the ball down the field anyway. He found receiver DeAndre Hopkins on a deep 45-yard pass and showed great arm strength pushing the ball to the sideline on out-breaking routes. Another one of his passes was threaded between three defenders to Hopkins for 24 yards. Levis also showed touch on a pass to Tyjae Spears that traveled 25 air yards, the second most on a reception by a running back this season. Pivotal play: After the Titans made it a one-score game with 2:40 left, coach Mike Vrabel decided on a 2-point conversion attempt. Trailing by eight, Levis hit Hopkins to make it a six-point game, putting the Titans in position to go up by one point when Henry crossed the goal line with 1:49 left. One could argue that the call wound up being the difference in the game. Under-the-radar stat that matters: The Titans' red zone defense entered the week allowing opposing offenses to score touchdowns on an NFL-best 37% of their visits inside the 20-yard line. Miami's 75% touchdown scoring rate in the red zone was best in the league, as well. The Dolphins' first three trips inside Tennessee's 5-yard line ended in just two field goals. The first drive was halted when defensive lineman TK McLendon Jr. recovered a fumble at Tennessee's 2-yard line. The third trip was halted when Tua Tagovailoa was sacked on third down. Describe the game in two words: Surprise, surprise. No one expected this to be a close game, but the Titans pulled off the "Vrabel Special" and managed to get the unexpected win. ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys turned the heat way up in the NFC playoff race on Sunday night with a 33-13 victory over their fiercest division rivals. DALLAS COWBOYS SUPERBOWL? CHIEFS HUGE BLUNDER! NFL WEEK 14 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS SUPERBOWL? CHIEFS HUGE BLUNDER! NFL WEEK 14 2023 DALLAS COWBOYS SUPERBOWL? CHIEFS HUGE BLUNDER! NFL WEEK 14 2023 Led by quarterback Dak Prescott, the Cowboys never relinquished their lead and stifled the Philadelphia Eagles' offense all night. Both teams moved to 10-3 on the season and are in a virtual tie with the Niners for first place in the NFC. But if the season ended this week, the Eagles would settle for a wild-card spot in the latest playoff standings as the No. 5 seed, while the Cowboys are now in the No. 2 spot. Here's a full breakdown of each team's performance: Dallas Cowboys Is it time to consider the Cowboys among the best in the NFL? Sunday's win at least temporarily has them in first place in the NFC East with four games to go. However, if the Cowboys and Eagles both win their remaining four games, Philadelphia would claim the division based on a tiebreaker. That story remains to be written, but on Sunday, the Cowboys' defense dominated the Eagles, holding them to just two field goals while forcing three takeaways and coming up with a critical fourth-down stop. Philadelphia's only touchdown came on a Prescott fumble. Dallas' offense might not have been as finely tuned as it has been over the past month-plus, but Prescott threw two more touchdown passes and the run game was able to wear down the Eagles' front. Oh, and rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey just kept doing what he has done all year: making field goals. He made four more (60, 59, 45 and 50 yards) and tied the team record for most consecutive makes at 30. The Cowboys have won five in a row and have reached double-digit wins for the third straight year. It's their longest such streak since they achieved the feat in six straight seasons from 1991 to '96. Those Cowboys won three Super Bowls in that stretch. These Cowboys might have just put themselves in that discussion. QB breakdown: Prescott put up two more touchdown passes for the seventh straight game, tying Tony Romo for the longest single-season streak in team history. Don Meredith had a 12-game stretch with at least two touchdown passes over the 1965 and '66 seasons. But this was not as smooth a night as Prescott has normally had, especially with his accuracy. In the past seven games entering Sunday, Prescott had completed at least 65.8% of his passes. Through three quarters, he completed 58.1% of his passes (18 of 31). It's only the third time this season Prescott has completed less than 62.5% of his passes in a game. Promising trend: Bryan Anger was forced to punt for the first time since Thanksgiving, following a span of three games and 18 possessions. Before Sunday, his last punt came in the third quarter of the Cowboys' win against the Washington Commanders. The Cowboys scored on their final three possessions in that game and did not punt on 11 drives against the Seattle Seahawks (eight scores). The Cowboys scored on their first four possessions against the Eagles before Anger took off the cobwebs with a 48-yarder in the third quarter. Silver lining: At 33, Stephon Gilmore is not showing his age. After DK Metcalf lit up the Cowboys last week, Gilmore kept him in check in the second half. Against the Eagles, Gilmore forced an A.J. Brown fumble on the Eagles' first possession of the second half. At the end of the quarter, he corralled Brown and DeVonta Smith on consecutive third- and fourth-down plays, which the offense than turned into a Brandon Aubrey field goal to up the lead to 30-13. -- Todd Archer Next game: at Bills (4:25 p.m. ET, Dec. 17) @espn @GmiasWorld Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld X-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #MADDEN24 #MADDEN24ULTIMATETEAM #GMIASWORLD
Describe the game in two words: Zappe hour. Backup-turned-starter Bailey Zappe gave the Patriots their best quarterback play of the season, becoming the first New England player to throw for three touchdowns in a first half since Tom Brady in 2018. BAILEY ZAPPE TO HUNTER HENRY = TB12 TO GRONK VS STEELERS! W14 NFL TNF 2023 BAILEY ZAPPE TO HUNTER HENRY = TB12 TO GRONK VS STEELERS! W14 NFL TNF 2023 BAILEY ZAPPE TO HUNTER HENRY = TB12 TO GRONK VS STEELERS! W14 NFL TNF 2023 Pivotal play: Zappe's 37-yard pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster on the third offensive snap. It was the Patriots' first completion of 30-plus air yards on the season, as they were 0-for-18 on those throws entering the night, and it reflected their willingness to attack down the field. Buying a breakout performance, Part I: Tight end Hunter Henry scored two touchdowns on his 29th birthday. The captain has been a standup presence throughout a challenging season for the team and this was a just reward for him. He became the first Patriot to score a touchdown on his birthday since running back Dion Lewis on Sept. 27, 2015 (who did so on his 25th birthday). Henry became the fifth player over the past 30 seasons with two receiving touchdowns on his birthday, joining DeVonta Smith (2021 vs. Broncos), Jimmy Graham (2014 vs. Ravens), Terrell Owens (2003 vs. Cardinals) and Isaac Bruce (2002 vs. Chargers). Troubling trend: The Patriots entered the night with the No. 2 draft position behind the Bears (from Carolina), but with a win to improve to 3-10, they are now tied with the Cardinals. Buying a breakout performance, Part II: Veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott was a workhorse, starting in place of the injured Rhamondre Stevenson. He hardly came off the field, was a dual threat as a rusher and pass-catcher, and had a terrific hustle play to record a tackle on a Zappe interception. -- Mike Reiss Next game: vs. Chiefs (1 p.m. ET, Sunday, Dec. 17) via @espn @GmiasWorld Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld X-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #MADDEN24 #MADDEN24ULTIMATETEAM #GMIASWORLD

But the Jags stormed back with a pair of TDs, the second of which set up by a Josh Allen interception of a Tyler Boyd pass, to take the lead. Browning answered with a short TD to even the score 28-28, then commanded a late field goal drive one possession after Lawrence went down and was taken to the locker room. Jaguars backup C.J. Beathard answered with a field goal drive of his own, sending the game to overtime where Bengals kicker Evan McPherson won the game from 48 yards. The loss drops Jacksonville to 8-4 on the season, while the Bengals improve to 6-6 -- and 1-1 since Burrow was ruled out for the season with an injury to his right wrist. via @espn @GmiasWorld Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld X-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #MADDEN24 #MADDEN24ULTIMATETEAM #GMIASWORLD
Six consecutive touchdowns by the San Francisco 49ers in punishing fashion made an awfully loud statement Sunday in Philadelphia. The kind that echoes. It wasn't subtle or fluky -- we might see it again. It could be in San Francisco as the Philadelphia Eagles' stranglehold on home-field advantage gets a bit wobbly after this one. Even if it is in Philly, why would that bother the Niners after this demolition? THE NINERS BEAT THE BRAKES OFF THE EAGLES, BUT ARE THE NINERS THE BEST IN THE NFC? NFL W13 2023 THE NINERS BEAT THE BRAKES OFF THE EAGLES, BUT ARE THE NINERS THE BEST IN THE NFC? NFL W13 2023 THE NINERS BEAT THE BRAKES OFF THE EAGLES, BUT ARE THE NINERS THE BEST IN THE NFC? NFL W13 2023 Remember the Niners' three-game losing streak? Yeah -- me either. This season the 49ers are now 5-0 against teams that entered the game with a winning record and they're outscoring those teams by 22.2 points per game. We're going to have to wait for the Miami Dolphins' final three games for them to play anyone who is in their weight class. In the meantime, they continue to invent new choreography and bring the track meet to town -- even on a soggy day. They're averaging 6.9 yards per play this season, which hasn't been done since The Greatest Show on Turf, the 2000 St. Louis Rams. Tyreek Hill alone had his eighth 100-yard receiving day and fifth with 150 or more. Both the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts move to 7-5. I'm still trying to process how the Colts won a game that included more from the buffet than most games you'll see. As for the Texans, it's been C.J. Stroud winning them games going on drives at the end of games. But this one required the defense to make stops and there was a bunch of young talent on that side of the ball as well who made the lead stand up. The Colts and Texans are currently the seventh and eighth seeds in the AFC respectively, and they're on a collision course for a Week 18 meeting in Indy. via @espn @GmiasWorld Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld X-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #GMIASWORLD #NFL

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Over the years, the Salvation Army red kettles in the end zones at AT&T Stadium have become extremely popular props for the Dallas Cowboys. NFL WEEK 12 2023 Ezekiel Elliott jumped into them one year and after another donated money into the kettle following a touchdown. He lifted Dak Prescott into a kettle. Last year, the tight ends played a game of whack-a-mole after a touchdown inside the kettle. In Thursday's 45-10 win against the Washington Commanders, the Cowboys paid homage to Thanksgiving. Hours before kickoff, stadium staffers placed four turkey legs in each of the four kettles in the end zones to be used just in case. After KaVontae Turpin's 34-yard touchdown catch from Prescott upped the Cowboys lead to 38-10 with 5:59 remaining, Prescott pulled out a turkey leg in celebration and took a giant bite. "We talked about it as probably a 2-3 daylong process of whether it be a 15-yard penalty and whether [coach Mike McCarthy] would accept it," Prescott said. "I actually go talk to coach before every game and sure enough I caught him as he was talking to [owner and general manager Jerry Jones], and so I mentioned it. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles got their Super Bowl LVII revenge on "Monday Night Football" with a 21-17 win over Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. It marked coach Andy Reid's first loss to his former team and center Jason Kelce's first win over his brother, Travis Kelce. Philadelphia Eagles A talking point for the Eagles leading into the Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs, coach Nick Sirianni said, was that the Chiefs were "not giving us their ring back if we beat them this week." It was a way to put a pin in the inflated hype around the game and get the Eagles to look at it as nothing more than a potential building block for the 2023 season. Still, this one had to feel pretty sweet. The Eagles escaped Arrowhead with a gritty 21-17 win. And while it doesn't alter what happed in Super Bowl LVII, it does put Philadelphia in great position as it makes a push for a return trip to the championship game. The Eagles maintain the best record in football (9-1) despite tests from playoff-caliber teams like the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and Chiefs in recent weeks. The hoopla surrounding the Super Bowl rematch is behind them, and the push for the top seed in the NFC is on. Eye-popping NextGen stat: Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones was double-teamed on 70% of his pass rushes and still generated four pressures and two sacks. Hurts was sacked by the Chiefs five times in the first half. Troubling trend: Philadelphia came in as the No. 1 rushing defense in the NFL (66.3 YPG) but got gashed for 121 yards in the first half alone. The Eagles had similar issues against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII when Kansas City ran for 158 yards. QB breakdown: Hurts was under duress for the bulk of the first half and managed just 46 yards passing and an interception. He came up with some clutch moments in the second half, however, most notably on a 41-yard dime down the right sideline to DeVonta Smith midway through the fourth quarter, setting up Hurts' go-ahead touchdown run. Hurts finished 14-of-22 with 150 yards passing and rushed for two of the Eagles' touchdowns. -- Tim McManus Next game: vs. Bills (4:25 p.m. ET, Nov. 26) via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld X-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #NFL #GMIASWORLD
Why would Aaron Rodgers want to come back to this? The injured quarterback, reportedly targeting a Dec. 24 return from Achilles surgery, might want to consider sitting out the rest of the season. Why rush back for meaningless football? At 4-6, losers of three straight, the Jets are out of contention. Their pass protection, further weakened by an injury to left tackle Mekhi Becton (ankle), is an absolute mess. The Jets allowed six sacks and managed only 155 total yards. It was so bad that coach Robert Saleh pulled Zach Wilson in favor of Tim Boyle with 2:17 left in the third quarter. Wilson (7-of-15, 81 yards) was dreadful; he didn't even complete a pass to a wide receiver. He might have a permanent spot on the bench. BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Ravens hosted the Cincinnati Bengals on "Thursday Night Football" in a key AFC North battle. LAMAR JACKSON, RAVENS DOMINATE JOE BURROW'S BENGALS! NFL WEEK 11 LAMAR JACKSON, RAVENS DOMINATE JOE BURROW'S BENGALS! NFL WEEK 11 LAMAR JACKSON, RAVENS DOMINATE JOE BURROW'S BENGALS! NFL WEEK 11 Unfortunately, the Ravens lost tight end Mark Andrews to an ankle injury on their first drive and the Bengals lost quarterback Joe Burrow to a wrist injury after a second-quarter touchdown pass. Neither returned. Baltimore scored three first-half touchdowns and pulled away in the second half for a 34-20 victory. The Bengals drop to 5-5 and remain last in the AFC North. The Ravens sit atop the division at 8-3. Baltimore Ravens Battling through a left ankle injury and without two Pro Bowl teammates on offense, Jackson threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns. At 8-3, the Ravens now will hold a half-game lead over the winner of Sunday's game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, both of whom are 6-3. It was a night of perseverance for Jackson, who injured his ankle at the end of the first quarter and had a pronounced limp at times. Baltimore needed Jackson because the offense was without left tackle Ronnie Stanley, who was inactive because of a knee injury, and tight end Mark Andrews, who was ruled out after injuring his left ankle on the opening series. This was a bounce-back game for the Ravens. After a fourth-quarter collapse against the Browns on Sunday, Baltimore was able to put away the Bengals for its first season sweep of Cincinnati since 2020. Promising trend: Baltimore continues to play its best against the best. The Ravens improved to 4-1 this season against teams that entered the game with a winning record, which is a good sign for them going forward. Entering Week 11, Baltimore had the toughest remaining schedule, according to ESPN Analytics. The Ravens' remaining six games come against teams that are a combined 31-23 (.574), including matchups in December with current division leaders Jacksonville, San Francisco and Miami. Eye-popping stat: How unlikely was wide receiver Nelson Agholor's 37-yard touchdown late in the first half? The TD probability was 3.7%, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. A surprised Agholor had a pass deflected by Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt land in his hands at the 29-yard line and outran the Cincinnati defense the rest of the way. He capped his third touchdown of the season with a forward flip into the end zone. Silver lining: In a season filled with injuries, the Ravens might have suffered their most significant one when Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews was ruled out after the opening drive with a likely season-ending ankle injury. Without Andrews, Jackson relied more on his outside targets. In the first half, Jackson threw touchdown passes to wide receivers Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman. This marked the first time he produced multiple touchdown passes to wide receivers since Week 2 of last season. Jackson had a career-high 206 yards passing when targeting wide receivers. via @espn Next game: at Los Angeles Chargers (8:15 p.m. ET, Sunday, Nov. 26) Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld X-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #NFL #RAVENS #GMIASWORLD

CHICAGO -- It was obvious early Thursday night that defense and special teams were going to play big roles as the offenses of the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers were underwhelming. In the end, the Bears' defense was decisive in a 16-13 win. Montez Sweat trade was foolish by Washington says anonymous NFL Exec Montez Sweat trade was foolish by Washington says anonymous NFL Exec Montez Sweat trade was foolish by Washington says anonymous NFL Exec It was a game that featured key pieces from a blockbuster offseason trade, when the Bears sent the No. 1 overall pick in the draft to Carolina for DJ Moore and a package of picks, including the Panthers' first pick in 2024. The Panthers used that to draft quarterback Bryce Young, who didn't do enough to get Carolina its second win. Chicago, meanwhile, was led by undrafted rookie QB Tyson Bagent, who is 2-2 as a starter while Justin Fields recovers from a dislocated right thumb. Chicago Bears Few games fall into a must-win category for a team with seven losses. Given what's at stake in the 2024 NFL draft with the Bears owning the Panthers first-round pick, the outcome Thursday was pivotal for measuring current growth and future draft positioning. The Bears significantly increased their chances to earn the No. 1 overall pick. According to ESPN Analytics, the win gives Chicago a 42% chance for the top pick, which is the highest in the NFL. After Chicago was held to three field goals in the first half, coach Matt Eberflus proclaimed his Bears "had some things up our sleeve" for the second half. While the magnitude of those things is debatable, the Bears did enough to win in Week 10 on a night when Eberflus' defense showed significant signs of improvement. The Bears have 10 days before they travel to Detroit to face the 6-2 Lions and could very well have Fields back under center for the first time since Oct. 15. QB breakdown: Bagent started his fourth game and struggled despite not turning the ball over. The offense was out of rhythm all game. Bagent was off target on 22% of his throws and didn't find opportunities to utilize his legs until the second quarter, when he picked up 12 yards on the ground and got the Bears into field goal range. The undrafted rookie finished 20-of-33 for 162 yards. Pivotal series: Chicago's defense clamped down on Carolina's second drive of the third quarter with a six-yard tackle for loss and sack to force a three-and-out. The offense, which didn't make it in the end zone in the first half, took advantage of a rare start in plus-territory at the Panthers' 38-yard line and took the lead for the first time after D'Onta Foreman's 4-yard rushing touchdown capped off a nine-play, 38-yard scoring drive. Promising trend: Chicago put an end to its two-game losing streak without a sack by taking down the Panthers' Young three times on Thursday. The Bears entered Week 10 pressuring quarterbacks on a league-low 22% of dropbacks. In the first half, Young was pressured on 9 of his 17 dropbacks (53%), which was the Bears' highest pressure percentage under Eberflus. That number leveled off in the second half (33%), but Chicago's pass rush showed improvement in holding the Panthers to 3-of-15 on third down. Montez Sweat had a team-high five pressures, the first Bears defender with five pressures in a game since 2021. -- Courtney Cronin @espn Next game: at Lions (1 p.m., ET, Nov. 19) Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The Los Angeles Chargers improved to .500 on Monday night, topping the New York Jets 27-6 at MetLife Stadium. Zach Wilson Is NOT Good says Joe Namath Zach Wilson Is NOT Good says Joe Namath Zach Wilson Is NOT Good says Joe Namath Los Angeles Chargers The Chargers beat up on a bad Chicago Bears team 30-13 last week in their biggest win of the season. On Monday night, the Chargers faced a Jets squad boasting one of the best defenses in the league and wins over Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts. The Chargers won their second straight game thanks to an explosive first quarter, during which they went up by 14 points and exhibited dominant defensive line play that never let the Jets get close. Eye-popping NextGen stat: Running back Austin Ekeler had three drops on Monday night, tied for the most in his career. Outside of the drops, Ekeler played a good game, scoring two touchdowns and finishing with 47 yards from scrimmage. But Ekeler led the team in receptions last season, and his catches often spark big plays, so the Chargers (4-4) will need Monday's drops to be an anomaly. Promising trend: Joey Bosa has 3.5 sacks over the past two outings. Bosa fractured his left big toe in the Chargers' Week 3 win at the Minnesota Vikings, causing him to miss the following game against the Las Vegas Raiders. He hadn't looked like the same player until the Chargers' Week 8 victory over the Bears, against whom he had one sack. Bosa appeared better than ever on Monday, securing 2.5 sacks, the second most in his career. Troubling trend: Quarterback Justin Herbert has been sacked 10 times over the past three games. Herbert had less than 2.5 seconds to throw on 40% of his dropbacks, as the Jets' defensive line easily pushed back the Chargers' front throughout the contest. -- Kris Rhim Next game: vs. Detroit Lions (4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday) via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC
PHILADELPHIA -- The final outcome was a 28-23 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, but the Dallas Cowboys left Lincoln Financial Field believing it was much closer than five points. The Dallas Cowboys are BETTER than the Eagles, says DEZ Bryant The Dallas Cowboys are BETTER than the Eagles, says DEZ Bryant The Dallas Cowboys are BETTER than the Eagles, says DEZ Bryant It was a matter of inches. An overturned (via replay) touchdown pass to tight end Luke Schoonmaker, whose knee was down before the ball crossed the goal line. Quarterback Dak Prescott's foot landing out of bounds on a 2-point play. A fumble that pass-rusher Micah Parsons nearly recovered inside Philadelphia territory. In the end, each of those plays went Philadelphia's way, but the result did not discourage the Cowboys. "If [this game was a test], we didn't pass, and that sucks," Prescott said. "Everybody in that locker room believed. And we still do. Don't get me wrong. We were inches away from this being a different game, about being a different outcome at the end of the game, with the way that was being played. But we're getting better. I can promise you that. We're going to continue to get better. We're getting better, and we're OK." Said Parsons, "I feel like we have even more confidence now. I feel like everybody had us out and [was] praising this Eagles team. Obviously, we gave them their best fit. You know, I'm not even going to put fuel on the fire. We'll see them again in four weeks." At 5-3, the Cowboys are 2½ games behind the Eagles (8-1) in the NFC East. Had the Cowboys won Sunday and were they to win next week against the New York Giants, they would have been in first place in the division and potentially holding the top record in the conference. As it stands, only the Eagles and Detroit Lions (6-2) have more wins in the NFC than Dallas. "What is it, November?" coach Mike McCarthy said. "A lot of football left, in my opinion." The mood inside the locker room was starkly different from the one after the 42-10 thumping against the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 8. In the earlier game, the Cowboys were helpless in a loss to a team that knocked them out of the playoffs each of the past two seasons. "It's all about runs," Parsons said. "We've just got to click at the right time and make our run." The Dec. 10 rematch with the Eagles will come at the end of a three-game homestand for the Cowboys. TJ Watt is best defensive player in the NFL says JJ WATT TJ Watt is best defensive player in the NFL says JJ WATT TJ Watt is best defensive player in the NFL says JJ WATT It's never easy for this year's Steelers team -- even on a night where the run game recorded a season-high 167 yards, and the defense held Derrick Henry to fewer than 100 rushing yards. With the win, the Steelers have an NFL-leading four wins when trailing after three quarters. The four comeback wins are also tied for Pittsburgh's second-most in a season during the Super Bowl era. QB breakdown: Playing with a ribs injury sustained against the Jacksonville Jaguars just four days earlier, Pickett had a bumpy start in the first half, completing just 53% of his passes. But Pickett and the offense did score a first-drive touchdown, just the Steelers' seventh opening-drive touchdown in the last three seasons and the second with Pickett as the starter. After two three-and-outs, Pickett bounced back with a much better second half, thanks in large part to the emergence of the run game. Pickett finished completing 19 of 30 for 160 yards, including a 32-yard completion to Johnson on the scoring drive, and he had no turnovers. The third-down pass, which traveled a game-high 23 air yards, had just a 35.9 expected completion percentage, per Next Gen Stats. Pickett averaged 4.5 air yards per attempt, the second-lowest of his career, and he was pressured at the second-lowest rate of his career (20%) as a result. Buy on a breakout performance: Broderick Jones is the Steelers' starting right tackle. Jones, who unseated Chukwuma Okorafor, was a surprise start on a short week -- especially considering he's taken most of his reps at left tackle in games and in practice. Okorafor is the Steelers' highest-paid offensive lineman with a $13 million cap hit this season. Jones, though, was a big part of the run game's success Thursday. He helped pave a path for Najee Harris on the first score of the game, and he aided Harris to a 25-yard run in the second half -- his longest of the season. The run game also averaged a season-best 5.5 yards per carry -- well over its 3.6 average. Troubling trend: In each of the last three games, wide receiver George Pickens has made an incredible catch -- only to have it ruled incomplete because he didn't get a second foot down. While the first two had more to do with the ball placement on the throw, the one on Thursday cost his team a touchdown. Pickett perfectly placed the ball in the end zone where only Pickens could get it, but Pickens' second foot hit the sideline before touching down in the end zone. There was space to drag his toe, but Pickens didn't have the awareness to get his toe down. Instead of taking a four-point lead, the Steelers settled for a field goal and a 13-13 tie late in the third quarter. Pickens entered the night with 11 receptions within 2 yards of a boundary the last two seasons, most in the league according to NFL Next Gen Stats. -- Brooke Pryor Up next: vs. Green Bay Packers (Nov. 12, 1 p.m. ET) via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC

Jimmy Garropolo is the WORST QB ever says Devante Adams Jimmy Garropolo is the WORST QB ever says Devante Adams Jimmy Garropolo is the WORST QB ever says Devante Adams Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta are the latest examples. Gibbs ran for a season-high 152 yards and a touchdown, LaPorta had eight receptions for 57 yards with a score, and the rookies helped the Lions beat the Las Vegas Raiders 26-14 on Monday night. “We wanted to get Gibbs going,” coach Dan Campbell said. “You could tell he was feeling it.” The NFC North-leading Lions (6-2) stalled on three early drives, turned the ball over three times, missed a field goal and still won by double digits. “When your defense plays that good, you can overcome that,” Campbell said. Jared Goff threw an interception that Marcus Peters returned 75 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter, allowing Las Vegas (3-5) to pull within two points. Detroit's next drive ended when Craig Reynolds fumbled at the Raiders 3. The Lions kept the ball on their third drive of the second half, taking a two-score lead on Gibbs' 27-yard touchdown run. Riley Patterson made a 52-yard field goal to give Detroit a 12-point lead early in the fourth. That was a comfortable cushion against the offensively challenged Raiders. Las Vegas welcomed the return of Jimmy Garoppolo, but lamented that he threw a league-leading ninth interception one play after the Raiders recovered a fumble in the first quarter. Kerby Joseph picked off Garoppolo's lofted pass into double coverage toward Davante Adams in the end zone. “This was definitely a bad day,” Garoppolo said. “I just have to be smart with the ball.” Sometimes, he didn't have much of a chance. Midway through the fourth, trying to rally, the Raiders gave up sacks on three of four snaps and turned it over on downs at their 28. In all, Las Vegas allowed its beat-up quarterback to get sacked six times. Garoppolo, who missed six quarters because of a back injury, was 10 of 21 for 126 yards. Even when Garoppolo had time to throw and an open receiver, he misfired — as he did when Adams was all alone deep down field late in the game. When that series ended, the standout receiver slammed his helmet on the sideline and sat disgustedly on the Raiders' bench. Josh Jacobs' lackluster season continued. The 2022 All-Pro running back finished with 15 carries for 61 yards and a 3-yard touchdown late in the first half that cut the Raiders' deficit to 9-7. That was their only score on offense. “I thought we did have some opportunities to make more plays on offense than we did, but we didn't make them," embattled coach Josh McDaniels said. "We just couldn't string together each enough plays in the passing game.” Detroit did. Goff completed 26 of 37 passes for 272 yards with an 18-yard strike to LaPorta for a touchdown that put Detroit up 16-7 late in the first half. Amon-Ra St. Brown had six catches for 108 yards. Entering the game, Las Vegas had held an NFL-high five teams to fewer than 200 yards passing. Detroit also had a dynamic running game to keep the Raiders on their heels. Gibbs, the No. 12 pick overall, had a season-high 26 carries and five receptions for 37 yards. “He's a very talented player with a very dynamic skill set," McDaniels said. vis @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC
It was around this time last year that the San Francisco 49ers found themselves in a difficult spot heading into their bye week. Brock Purdy is NOT the Answer for the 49ers, says Shannon Sharpe Brock Purdy is NOT the Answer for the 49ers, says Shannon Sharpe Brock Purdy is NOT the Answer for the 49ers, says Shannon Sharpe The Kansas City Chiefs had just beaten them soundly at Levi's Stadium to drop to 3-4 on the season. But the biggest solution to that team's problems was already in the building. The Niners acquired running back Christian McCaffrey in a blockbuster trade a couple days earlier with the idea that he could spark a second-half run. He did, and the Niners ripped off 10 straight wins to close the season on the way to an NFC Championship Game appearance. Little more than a year later, the Niners head into their bye and Tuesday's NFL trade deadline with a much better record but just as much urgency to right the ship after Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. After a 5-0 start, the loss to the Bengals was San Francisco's third in a row, dropping them to 5-3 and out of first place in the NFC West division. "No, none of this changes anything with the trade deadline," Shanahan said. "How we played today or how we played these last three weeks. ... I do believe we have the answers in our building. I believe we have good players. I believe we have good coaches. It's up to me to get them to do better. Sunday's loss was the Niners' first three-game losing streak since the 2021 season and comes on the heels of a stretch in which they had won 15 straight regular-season games (tied for a franchise record) and beat their first five opponents this season by an average of 19.8 points per game. Even during their early season domination, Shanahan had alluded multiple times to the mistakes his team was making but able to get away with because it had jumped out to big leads. Penalties and red zone woes had been problematic but the Niners offset many of those by making big plays on offense (21 plays of 20-plus yards was sixth most in the NFL) and giving up few on defense (10 20-plus yard plays allowed were fewest in the NFL). They'd also been dominant in the turnover battle, going plus-7 with a league-low two giveaways. The past three weeks have offered a dramatic shift in the opposite direction for most of those categories. The Niners have been outscored by an average of 7 points per game, outgained by an average of 62 yards per game and have given up 15 plays of 20-plus yards (the second most in the NFL in that span). What's more, the Niners have turned the ball over seven times (tied for fourth most) and are minus-3 in turnover margin (also tied for fourth worst) in that span. After not throwing an interception the first five weeks, Niners quarterback Brock Purdy has thrown five in the past three games, including four in opposing territory, one of which came inside Cincinnati's 10 on Sunday. The compounding mistakes have also limited the Niners' ability to run the ball often or effectively. That was the case the first five weeks but hasn't been of late. As the schedule and quarterbacks they face have gotten tougher, the Niners have given up almost 70 passing yards more per game through the air and opposing quarterbacks have a QBR nearly 16 points higher over the past three weeks. Those issues combined with a pass rush that has struggled to get home and a controversial blitz call before halftime of last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings have put Wilks under the microscope. But Shanahan said Sunday that there's plenty of blame to go around. "This isn't on any one coach or any one side of the ball," Shanahan said. "We haven't scored over 20 points here in three weeks, too. So, I think our defense needs to do better. I think our offense needs to do better. I think our team needs to do better. When I say our team, I mean every single player in there and I think every single coach." Now, the 49ers head into a long layoff that should allow left tackle Trent Williams' sprained right ankle and Deebo Samuel's injured shoulder to heal. That should help but it's going to take much more to make a run as the Niners enter a stretch in which they'll play Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Seattle, Philadelphia and Seattle again in the five weeks coming out of the bye. "We've got to sit here and wait about 14 days to deal with this feeling that we have, which nobody wants, but I think we need to," Shanahan said. "I think our guys need to be pissed off a little bit. I think we need to come back with a little better focus because it hasn't been enough and we haven't been getting it done." vis @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC
The Buffalo Bills entered Thursday night's battle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in need of a win that would erase the sting of last week's humbling loss to the cellar-dwelling Patriots -- and to also keep the pressure on the AFC East-leading Miami Dolphins. The Bills got that victory, taking down the Bucs by a 24-18 score to move to 5-3 on the season. The Buccaneers, meanwhile, fell to 3-4 and a full game behind the NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons, with the early promise of Baker Mayfield and the offense giving way to deeper concerns. Here's what to know about each team's performance: Buffalo Bills The tone of what the Buffalo Bills offense wanted to accomplish was set on the first drive of the game. The Bills quickly went down the field, using some no-huddle -- something that was saved for late in games in recent weeks -- and allowing Josh Allen to use his legs on the second play with an eight-yard gain. The 10-play, 77-yard drive ended in a 37-yard field goal by kicker Tyler Bass, but it more importantly showed a shift in what the Bills offense could do early. EDITOR'S PICKS Josh Allen, Dalton Kincaid score touchdowns in prolific second quarter for Bills 11hAlaina Getzenberg Stefon Diggs leads the way for Thursday night fashion 12hESPN staff Baker Mayfield touchdown pass to Chris Godwin helps Bucs tie Bills 11hJenna Laine After scoring 10 points combined in the first halves of the last three games, the Bills scored 17 against the Buccaneers. A variety of offensive players got involved, the offense put together five drives of eight or more plays, controlling the game early -- something that was also absent consistently in recent weeks and became more of an issue late in the game. Allen used his legs effectively with seven rushes for 42 yards, including a rushing touchdown. The quarterback had his best passing performance in weeks as well, completing 31 of 40 passes (77.5%) for 324 yards, two passing touchdowns and an interception, just his third 300-yard passing game of the season. While this was a step in the right direction for the Bills' trend of slow starts, this remains a unit with work to do with some of the issues flipping to the second half. Three straight punts allowed the Buccaneers opportunities to get within striking range and the downfield passing game remains something to work on. But against Tampa Bay, with tougher opponents still to come, it was enough. Describe the game in two words: Greatly needed. It wasn't perfect or even close to it with the defensive issue of giving up big drives late in games popping up yet again, but after recent struggles against beatable opponents, all three units stepped up at times and earned the win. Promising trend: Things are going up for Dalton Kincaid. With tight end Dawson Knox (wrist) placed on injured reserve earlier Thursday and Quintin Morris (ankle) out of the game, the rookie was the only active tight end, and he took advantage, including scoring the first touchdown of his career in the second quarter on a 22-yard pass from Allen and a great sideline catch in the third quarter. Kincaid didn't have as many receptions as last week, but he continues to get more involved in the offense, playing a career high 83.8% of snaps. Buy on a breakout performance: Wide receivers Gabe Davis and Khalil Shakir. This isn't a simple one as Davis has a history of big games and hasn't yet strung together these types of performances consistently, but his involvement in the offense vs. the Buccaneers was key and that success is something that this unit can build off. Both players stepped up on a lighter night for Stefon Diggs, with Davis setting a career high with nine receptions on 12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown, while Shakir was involved from the start and had the best game of his career with six catches for 92 yards. Four different players recorded at least five receptions and 50 receiving yards, tied for the most in a game in franchise history (last in 2011). Pivotal play: Sam Martin's punt with five minutes remaining in the third quarter. It might not be the flashiest play or even a game-decider, but it's a good example of the role Martin and special teams played in Thursday's game, punting the ball 48 yards to the Buccaneers' three-yard line with the drive resulting in a three-and-out. Martin had three straight punts within the 10-yard line, and two within the five, setting up the Bills' defense. -- Alaina Getzenberg Next game: at Bengals (8:20 p.m. ET, Nov. 5) via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC shannon sharpe shannon sharpe nfl gmiasworld
MINNEAPOLIS -- Just more than two weeks ago, the San Francisco 49ers were undefeated and the talk of the league after demolishing the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night football. Inside the Niners' locker room after Monday night's sloppy 22-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, that game might as well have been two years ago. Among the 49ers' mistakes Monday: three turnovers, Minnesota's 60-yard touchdown just before halftime on a situationally rare all-out blitz and a missed 40-yard field goal. The result was their second consecutive loss, something San Francisco hadn't experienced since this day one year ago, and an overwhelming sense that it had all come crashing back to Earth after a dominant 5-0 start. "The NFL will humble you every step of the way," defensive end Nick Bosa said. "And getting off to a 5-0 start you kind of get that confidence that we are who we need to be, but the NFL does that. Good players, good schemes and we're going to face another good team this week, so we've got to be ready." In order to turn it around, the Niners must find a way to pull out games like Monday's and last week's loss to the Cleveland Browns. In both contests, the Niners struggled to play the complementary football they did in the first five weeks but still had opportunities to win in the closing minutes. That the Niners came up short both times has left them frustrated that they seem to be fine when they control the game from the start -- they won the first five games by an average of 19.8 points -- but struggle when things get hairy. As linebacker Fred Warner was quick to point out, teams that advance deep into the postseason can win any type of game they play. "I think the thing right now is we've got to find ways to win the grimy games, the ones where it's not looking great and find a way," Warner said. "Obviously, we can win, 30-10, but who are we and what are we going to do when we're down and we've got to come back and win a game?" There were multiple opportunities Monday night for the Niners to put themselves in much better position to get their sixth win. For starters, they could have made life more difficult for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, who torched them for 378 yards and two touchdowns while not being sacked and only pressured on 25% of his 45 drop backs. When it was over, running back Christian McCaffrey lamented his first quarter fumble deep in Minnesota territory, kicker Jake Moody wished he could have back the 40-yard field goal he didn't convert and quarterback Brock Purdy shouldered the blame for a pair of late-game interceptions when San Francisco was driving for the potential winning score. But the oddest play of the night might have been the most backbreaking for the 49ers. Facing third-and-6 at their 40 with 16 seconds left and no timeouts, the Vikings appeared poised to take a pass underneath that might help set up a field goal. Instead, Niners defensive coordinator Steve Wilks dialed up an all-out blitz, sending seven defenders at Cousins. According to Vikings coach Kevin O'Connell, Cousins recognized the pressure and checked into a deep shot for rookie wideout Jordan Addison. As the ball flew toward Addison, Niners cornerback Charvarius Ward stepped in front for what looked like his second interception of the night. But Addison wrestled it away from him and, with no help behind Ward, raced into the end zone for a 60-yard touchdown to give Minnesota a 16-7 lead. "That was a game-changing play," O'Connell said. It was also an unusual call by Wilks. According to NFL Next Gen Stats, it was the first 7-man pass rush in the last 30 seconds of a half in opposing territory since Week 11 of 2020. Asked after the game if he was OK with the call, Niners coach Kyle Shanahan said it would be a topic his staff will talk about in the coming days. From there, the Niners will have their bye then travel to play the Jacksonville Jaguars, followed by games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles and the Seahawks again. It is, at least on paper, the most difficult stretch on the Niners' schedule and will go a long way in determining how serious they should be taken as contenders. "We can't sit here and worry about what's happened before this," Shanahan said. "We have got to make sure that we do everything from now all the way until Sunday when the game is over to find a way to beat the Bengals. And then we go into our bye week. I just looked at our guys right now and we've got 5½ days left and we have to focus all on that and make sure we go into that bye week 6-2 and not 5-3." via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC 49ers Vikings NFL Monday Night Football #nfl #gmiasworld NFL
PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts played the second half of Sunday night's 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins with a brace on his left leg. Hurts did not go into much detail postgame, but a source said it's believed to be a knee injury. "I'll be fine," Hurts said, though when asked if it's something that will affect him moving forward, he responded, "I hope not." Hurts on Sunday rushed 11 times (including three kneel downs) for 21 yards and a touchdown while throwing for 279 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He rushed three times in the second half. Hurts appeared to be grimacing as he jogged off the field after the game. Teammates indicated he played through pain. "I don't want to put his business out there, but he's a tough individual," receiver A.J. Brown said. "Our style of play, sometimes he scrambles out and may get nicked up," added right tackle Lane Johnson. "But he does a good job. He never really shows it or complains or anything." Hurts was late coming out of the tunnel for the second half, and backup Marcus Mariota warmed up on the sideline in his absence, creating some confusion about who would be under center when the offense retook the field. Coach Nick Sirianni, though, said it wasn't in doubt that Hurts would continue playing. "He played the rest of the game and played at a very high level," Sirianni said. "I thought he played really outstanding. Man, he is a competitor. There is nobody else I would rather be our quarterback. He played his butt off tonight. He's tough." Hurts had a pair of giveaways in the game, including a pick-six, upping his turnover total to 10 on the season -- second highest in the NFL behind Desmond Ridder of the Atlanta Falcons. Hurts has thrown an interception in a career-high three straight games. But he continues to generate points, and Philadelphia keeps winning, improving to 6-1 on the year. On a night when the Eagles donned the throwback kelly green jerseys, Hurts tied Randall Cunningham for most rushing touchdowns by an Eagles quarterback (32). "It's crazy," Hurts said. "Kind of cool to do that wearing his old jersey." When asked what's in store this week in terms of following up on his injury, Hurts said: "Nothing too much. Just get ready for the next opponent." via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #nfl #gmiasworld
"Derek USED Carr Is NOT Clutch" says Skip Bayless NEW ORLEANS -- After a lot of speculation on playing status, quarterback Trevor Lawrence led the Jacksonville Jaguars to a 31-24 win over the New Orleans Saints on Thursday at Caesars Superdome. Lawrence, who came into Week 7 dealing with a sprained knee he suffered Sunday, threw a game-winning, 44-yard touchdown to Christian Kirk with 3:08 remaining, as Kirk took the short crossing route to the end zone. Lawrence led the Jags on a 10-play touchdown drive to open the game before Travis Etienne Jr. punctuated things with a 2-yard score, his first of two. The Saints struggled to get their offense going, as they fell to under .500 for the first time this season, but they were able to knot the game at 24-24 after trailing by 15. After getting a stop, New Orleans had a chance to tie or take the lead with a 2-point conversion, but the Saints were stopped on fourth down on the Jacksonville 6-yard line with 21 seconds remaining. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2) The Jaguars' offense was supposed to be the team's strength this season. It was the second season in coach Doug Pederson's offense and the team added receiver Calvin Ridley to a unit that ranked 10th in points scored and yards per game last season. Things just haven't clicked consistently, however, and what happened against the Saints was what's been happening pretty much all season: Early success followed by stagnation. And it has almost cost them the last three weeks. The Jaguars put up 17 points and 226 yards in the first half but managed just 14 yards on three plays in the third quarter. The defense had to be on the field for almost 13 minutes in the third, and the Saints were able to erase the deficit in the fourth. When the Jaguars did get something going in the final quarter, the short-yardage woes showed up again, highlighted by Etienne being stopped for no gain on fourth-and-1 on the New Orleans 47-yard line. At one point the Jaguars either punted or turned the ball over on downs on six of seven possessions. The offense made one play in the fourth quarter, and it turned out to be what saved the victory. The defense has played lights out the past month and entered the game with an NFL-high 15 forced turnovers and added one more against the Saints, but the offense's inability to find any kind of rhythm was the reason they almost completely blew the lead. Pivotal play: Coach Doug Pederson's decision to try a fake punt paid off with a late first-half field goal that gave the Jaguars a 17-6 lead late in the first half. Punter Logan Cooke threw a 13-yard pass to receiver Tim Jones on fourth-and-2 from the New Orleans 46-yard line, giving Jones just his fourth catch of the season, his first since Sept. 24. It was the first fake punt the Jaguars have run since Andrew Wingard carried the ball for 4 yards on fourth-and-2 against the New York Jets on Dec. 26, 2021. Cooke is a perfect 4 for 4 passing in his career. This was his first pass since 2019, and it gave the Jaguars some much-needed momentum after their previous two drives had been three-and-outs. Buy/sell: Buy on linebacker Foyesade Oluokun. The sixth-year linebacker led the NFL in tackles the last two seasons, but one thing he said last offseason was he wanted to make more big plays. He came into the game with two fumbles recoveries (he had two all last season) and added an interception return for a touchdown Thursday off a tipped pass. That was the first touchdown of Oluokun's career. Troubling trend: After having their first turnover-free game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons on Oct. 1, the Jaguars have turned the ball over five times in their last three games, including two fumbles against the Saints. Both came in the first quarter: Receiver Christian Kirk fumbled while being tackled and cornerback Tevaughn Campbell, promoted from the practice squad earlier in the day, was blocked into punt returner Jamal Agnew and the ball bounced off Campbell. The defense held the Saints to just three points off those turnovers, but eventually that kind of sloppy ball security catches up to teams. “Dak Prescott is trash” says LeSean McCoy After a game filled with miscues and penalty flags, the Dallas Cowboys defense came up big in the final two minutes to seal a 20-17 win against the Los Angeles Chargers on "Monday Night Football." With quarterback Justin Herbert playing through a fractured middle finger on his non-throwing hand, the Chargers dropped to 2-3 on the season as the Cowboys moved to 4-2. Dallas Cowboys After what happened last week against the San Francisco 49ers, a win of any kind was required by the Cowboys. Monday's win certainly wasn't pretty, but the Cowboys enter their bye week with a 4-2 record and still within striking distance of the Philadelphia Eagles and 49ers, who suffered surprising losses Sunday. Everything was in question after last week. Mike McCarthy's playcalling, Dak Prescott's ability, the defense's toughness. Nothing was perfect -- too many penalties, too many big plays allowed, not enough big plays made, special teams' turnover -- but when it mattered, they made the necessary plays. Starting with three key third-down conversions on a game-winning drive that ended with a Brandon Aubrey field goal, a sack -- the first of the game for the Cowboys -- by Micah Parsons and a sealing interception by Stephon Gilmore. The Cowboys are now 10-1 after a loss over the last two seasons. Maybe they're not dead after all. QB breakdown: Let's forget the passing numbers for Prescott. Let's talk about his rushing. He had the longest touchdown run of his career (18 yards) in the first quarter and the longest by a Cowboys QB since 2010. Prescott has not used his feet as much in recent years. He had 18 rushing touchdowns in his first three years and now nine in the last five. He had 45 yards rushing in the first five games and 33 in the first half versus the Chargers. He's not a running quarterback, but he can be effective with his feet and may need to do more of it. Promising trend: Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb had 84 receiving yards in the first half -- more than he had in four of the first five games. He acknowledged during the week his body language needed to be better after he was salty in the San Francisco game. All five of his catches in the first two quarters covered 10 or more air yards. In the New England game, he had eight completions with air yards of 10 or more. Silver lining: Maybe it's not a trend, since it's only one game, but the Cowboys were solid in their first outing without linebacker Leighton Vander Esch. Markquese Bell moved from safety to linebacker late in training camp after DeMarvion Overshown was lost for the year with a torn ACL. He was able to come up with a tackle for loss and a pass breakup in the first half on 17 snaps when the Cowboys had two linebackers in their personnel group. When the Cowboys lost Vander Esch late last season, the run defense suffered. On Monday, the Chargers had just 50 yards on 22 carries in Austin Ekeler's return from injury. “Saquon Barkley to the Ravens = SuperBowl” - Bart Scott Buffalo 14, N.Y. Giants 9 Bills What does the Bills' offense need to correct? After scoring 37-plus points in three straight games earlier this season, the Bills have been held to 20 points or fewer in two straight. There isn't just one problem to fix. While Sunday's second half was a big improvement (quarterback Josh Allen completed all but one of his second-half passes), the first half was a mess as Allen struggled with pressure (0-of-4 under duress) and going downfield (1-of-6 for 28 yards and an interception on throws with 15 or more air yards). Buffalo also needs to get more players involved. Receiver Stefon Diggs had 16 targets, and everyone else combined had 12. Stock up after the win: Red zone defense. The Giants' offense had multiple opportunities to build a big lead, but Buffalo's defense stepped up when it was needed most and held the Giants 0-for-4 on trips to the red zone. Stock down after the win: The offense, especially early in games. Slow starts are becoming a problem for Buffalo as the offense was held scoreless through three quarters for the first time since Allen's rookie season (2018 vs. the Packers). The Bills' franchise-best streak of 60 straight halves with points was snapped just a week after scoring only seven points in the first three quarters against the Jaguars. -- Alaina Getzenberg Next game: at Patriots (Sunday, 1 p.m. ET) Giants Can the Giants build off this performance? "Jerry Juedy Is Trash" - Steve Smith SR Sean Payton got his first taste of the streak Thursday night. That anchor every Denver Broncos head coach since Gary Kubiak has had tossed into his lap. From Vance Joseph to Vic Fangio to Nathaniel Hackett and now on to Payton. The Chiefs beat the Broncos Thursday night in Arrowhead because the Chiefs always beat the Broncos in Arrowhead, in Denver and seemingly would beat them in Munich if the NFL asked them to play there. That's 16 in a row for Kansas City. And nothing may sum up the Broncos' current lot in football life more than the Chiefs' 28-year-old quarterback completing pass after pass to his All-Pro tight end as the rest of the Chiefs supporting cast flourishes in the jetwash. The Broncos actually wasted, especially over the first three quarters, a good effort from their beleaguered defense. But the Chiefs and Mahomes took short field after short field -- their first five drives of the game started on the Chiefs' 38-yard line or better -- and cashed in just enough. The Chiefs don't need to take their best shot to beat the Broncos anymore, and it's been that way for a long time. Biggest hole in the game plan: As it has been for much of the season, rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. spends too much time on the sideline watching an offense that needs his explosiveness. Mims came into Thursday's game leading the Broncos with a 24.6 yards-per-catch average. He has the team's longest touchdown reception this season -- 60 yards -- longest punt and longest kickoff return. Yet the Broncos repeatedly worked out of three-wide receiver sets that mostly did not include him, especially in the first half, when the Broncos' defense had actually kept them in the game. Deep into the fourth quarter, Mims still had not had a target. Coming in, Mims had not played more than 21 snaps in any of the Broncos' first five games, and he had not played more than 17 snaps in four of those games. QB breakdown: For much of the season, Wilson looked as if his comfort level in the offense was growing by the day. But that progress looked stymied this past Sunday in the loss to the New York Jets in a choppy 196-yard effort, and Thursday against the Chiefs also had a 2022 feel to it. Wilson looked unsettled against the Chiefs as he had passes tipped, spun into trouble instead of away from it -- two of the Chiefs' three sacks before the end of the third quarter were on third down, another on a fourth-down attempt -- and Wilson hadn't cleared 60 yards passing by the time the fourth quarter began. Before a too-little, too-late flourish in the closing minutes that included a one-handed touchdown grab by Courtland Sutton, Wilson held the ball a little too long, like last year, and saw his footwork deteriorate as the pressure came. And Payton needs to stop that regression soon or the offense will continue to suffer. Pivotal play: A pivotal two plays, really. Trailing just 10-0, with the ball on their own 44-yard line with 22 seconds left in the first half and a timeout still in hand, the Broncos might have gained much-needed momentum by scoring some points. No one will ever know, though, as Wilson took a sack for a 7-yard loss on third-and-5. Riley Dixon followed with a 29-yard punt and Denver rookie cornerback Riley Moss was penalized for illegal touching, so the Chiefs ended up with the ball on their own 39-yard line with two timeouts. One Mahomes completion and scramble later, Harrison Butker kicked a 60-yard field goal to end the half. A demoralizing field goal, a 13-0 Chiefs lead at half and the Broncos never really pushed back the rest of the night. Jordan Love is Still Throwing Picks right NOW! For the first time since the Reagan administration, and when the Raiders called Los Angeles home, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Green Bay Packers, who had won eight straight games in the series. All it took was an end zone interception by Robertson on a deep ball to Christian Watson after Raiders All-Pro kicker Daniel Carlson missed two field goals for the first time since the second game of his rookie season, when he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings. The Raiders ended a three-game losing streak, and the schedule looks promising with the woeful New England Patriots coming to Las Vegas on Sunday before the Raiders head to the equally inept Chicago Bears a week later. Promising trend: Spillane preached takeaways throughout the offseason, into training camp and throughout the start of the season ... despite never having an interception and only recovering one fumble in his five-year career. Two picks against the Packers sent a message for a defense in desperate need of big plays. His first INT set up a Carlson field goal late in the second quarter and was the Raiders' first score off a turnover this season. Las Vegas entered the game as one of two teams -- next week's opponents, the Patriots, were the other -- without a point off a turnover this season. Troubling trend: Jimmy Garoppolo turning Davante Adams into an invisible man and essentially ignoring him in the first half, when the Raiders had an opportunity to jump to a big lead. Consider: Adams had just one target before halftime, a catch that went for 12 yards. Before facing his old team in the Packers, Adams had accounted for 39% of Raiders targets this season, highest in the NFL. QB breakdown: It wasn't his prettiest outing but Garoppolo, back after missing last week's loss at the Chargers with a concussion, did just enough even though he threw an interception for a fourth straight game, the longest such streak of his career. The Raiders have also committed a turnover in 12 straight games, the longest active streak in the league. Garoppolo passed for 208 yards while completing 22 of 31 attempts with a touchdown pass to Jakobi Meyers and one interception for an 86.5 quarterback rating in his return. -- Paul Gutierrez Next game: vs. Patriots (4:05 p.m. ET, Sunday) via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #nfl #gmiasworld
Dallas Cowboys DESTROYED on SNF! Micah Parsons Says Its a "Blessing" "Didn't see it coming," Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said. "Put everything into it and got punched in the mouth. Called it a couple weeks ago humbling against Arizona, but this may be the most humbling I've ever been a part of. Felt good about the preparation and felt good about everything, honestly, coming into this game, matchups, and they beat us in every aspect." It was the second-worst loss of Mike McCarthy's head-coaching career; only a 35-0 shutout against the New England Patriots in his first year with the Green Bay Packers in 2006 was worse. It was the largest defeat of Prescott's career, going back to a 39-9 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 19, 2017, during his second season as the Cowboys' starting quarterback. "It's a punch in the gut, it's a kick in the ass, whatever phrase you want to put on it," McCarthy said. "We've been knocked down, clearly. They beat us in all three phases. We will clearly acknowledge it. I've never been a burn-the-tape guy. I think that is a crock of s---. We're going to go through it, make sure we're clear on exactly what the expectations are and make sure we're giving the players what they need to be successful. They played extremely well, and we did not. "I thought we had taken a step as a team. I didn't see this coming. I thought the prep was good this week. I thought we had one of our better Friday and Saturdays of the year. But it's like we talked about before: Sometimes you have a great week of preparation and it doesn't go so well. We did not hit the mark at all." A defense that allowed a league-low 10.3 points per game through four weeks gave up 21 points through six possessions. A defense that allowed two touchdown passes in the first four games saw Brock Purdy throw four. A defense that recorded 14 sacks in four games sacked Purdy just once. The run defense was hit for 170 yards and two touchdowns on 41 carries. Offensively, it was worse for the Cowboys. Prescott completed 14 of 24 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown pass with three interceptions before he was pulled with 8:47 left to play. Running back Tony Pollard lost his first fumble since 2019, his rookie year, in the first quarter. Of the 11 possessions with Prescott at quarterback, nine of them lasted three plays or fewer. "I don't foresee a whole lot of winning grades coming out of this performance," McCarthy said. "I think the most important thing for all of us, and I expressed it, just be accountable for what you did tonight, how you played. We've got to clean our own house up." The Cowboys also lost linebacker Leighton Vander Esch in the fourth quarter to a neck injury. Receiver KaVontae Turpin, who scored their only touchdown, did not return following a second-quarter ankle injury. Special teams ace C.J. Goodwin exited in the first half after sustaining a shoulder injury. "This game is not indicative of who we are as an offense," Dallas left guard Tyler Smith said. "This game isn't indicative of who we are as a defense. It's not indicative of who we are as a team." "I don't foresee a whole lot of winning grades coming out of this performance. I think the most important thing for all of us, and I expressed it, just be accountable for what you did tonight, how you played. We've got to clean our own house up." Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy The Cowboys will return to California next week for "Monday Night Football" against the Los Angeles Chargers. "It's still early in the season," Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons said. "I need to help bring these guys together, and we just need to get better. There's no such thing as losing. So tonight we just learned a lesson. We were the team at the end of the stick." The Cowboys have dropped their past three matchups with the 49ers, including twice in the postseason. For the 10th time since Jerry Jones took over as owner and general manager in 1989 the Cowboys are 3-2; three times they failed to make the playoffs, including 2019. On Sunday, the gap between the Cowboys and the Niners -- who along with the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas' NFC East rivals, are undefeated -- looked wider than ever. "I mean, obviously, they're further ahead than us right now," Prescott said of the 49ers. "Yeah, so we've got to close that gap and be ready. To get to where we want to get, we know we're going to have to go through this team and most likely come back to this place." via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #nfl #gmiasworld
BEARS QB Justin Fields dominate WASHINGTON in unexpected Victory! The Bears had enough of the negativity, of the outside noise, of the heartbreak they had endured for 11 straight months. On a short week with no time to waste on distractions, Chicago ended its 14-game losing streak and beat the Commanders on the road. Last week, Fields felt the Bears' offense was finally beginning to show its identity. After a lightning-fast start and third-quarter lull, Chicago showed it could finally put away an opponent and leave nothing in doubt in the final minutes of the game. One week after giving up 21 points en route to a devastating loss, the Bears' 20-point win is tied for the fourth largest in NFL history by a team entering on a double-digit losing streak. Buy/sell a breakout performance: DJ Moore found the end zone on two of Chicago's five scoring drives in the first half. His Randy Moss-like catch over Commanders cornerback Kendall Fuller and first-half stat line (five catches, 137 yards, 2 TDs ) helped the Bears build a 24-point lead going into the half and even had LeBron James marveling at the receiver's explosiveness on X. Moore's fourth-quarter touchdown -- his third of the game -- put the game away for Chicago on a night when he notched the second-most receiving yards in a game (230) by a Bears receiver. Encouraging trend: The Bears sacked Commanders QB Sam Howell five times -- which is great considering the team had only two sacks in its four previous games -- but two of those were generated by linebacker T.J. Edwards and cornerback Greg Stroman Jr. (who also recorded the team's first interception of the season against a starting quarterback). Chicago remains committed to pressuring with its four down linemen, but the line didn't break through until Yannick Ngakoue brought down Howell on second-and-9 in the fourth quarter. DeMarcus Walker and Rasheem Green recorded two more sacks late. QB breakdown: Fields became the first Bears quarterback to throw for three or more touchdowns in back-to-back games since the 1970 merger. He built upon his three good quarters against the Denver Broncos and has completed 43 of 64 pass attempts for 617 yards, eight touchdowns and one interception in his past two games, complete with a 131.2 passer rating. Most importantly, Fields didn't let a slow start to the second half hinder him from putting the game away when he found Moore for a 56-yard touchdown with 4:18 to play. Daniel Jones is NOT good at Football With all the points the Seattle Seahawks were scoring this season, it was easy to overlook their defense. They were excellent against the run but the pass defense was horrible. A new Legion of Boom appeared on Monday night and wreaked havoc on Daniel Jones and the New York Giants. Rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon scored on a 97-yard interception return late in the third quarter and the Seahawks tied a team record with 11 sacks in a 24-3 victory over the struggling and offensively inept Giants. “We're just getting going,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “We're just putting it together. A night like this for our defense to play that explosively. I can't remember seeking double digit sacks.” Geno Smith threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf late in the first quarter after a strip-sack by defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. set up a short drive and Kenneth Walker III scored on a 1-yard run just before halftime as the Seahawks (3-1) won their third straight. A fourth-quarter interception by Quandre Diggs set up a field goal by Jason Myers as the Seattle improve to 6-0 at MetLife Stadium, including the franchise's only Super Bowl win, a 43-8 decision over Denver in 2014. Besides the sacks, Seattle held New York, which played without star running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) for the second straight game, to 248 yards in total offense, 6 of 16 on third down and forced two turnovers. Bobby Wagner, Jordyn Brooks, Witherspoon and Uchenna Nwosu each had two sacks. “I think we needed it. Easy game defensively,” said Wagner, who also had 17 tackles. “We've been getting better. We've done a good job stopping the run but the thing was applying pressure. The last game we had a lot of pressures but not as many sacks. I think this game we turned those pressures into sacks.” Graham Gano kicked a 55-yard field goal for the Giants (1-3), who have played one good half in four games this season and have looked nothing like the team that made the playoffs last year for the first time since 2016. via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #nfl #gmiasworld
Dallas Cowboys Give Bill Belichicks' Patriots the WORST Loss of his Career — Dak Prescott is getting used to sitting back and watching the Dallas defense do its thing. DaRon Bland returned one of his two interceptions for a touchdown, Leighton Vander Esch scooped up a fumble for a score and the Cowboys blew out the New England Patriots 38-3 on Sunday. Mac Jones was responsible for all three turnovers and was pulled in the second half of the worst loss in Bill Belichick's 29 seasons as a head coach, 24 of them in New England. The six-time Super Bowl winner will have to wait at least another week to join George Halas and Don Shula as the only NFL coaches with 300 career regular-season victories. Bland had his second pick-6 of the season after getting one in a season-opening rout of the New York Giants, when Dallas also returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown in a 40-0 win. “Just to sit back and watch the defense do that, it's awesome,” said Prescott, who had a touchdown pass before the defense took over. “I'd love to get out there and throw it over and over and be back and forth. But, I sit back and cross my legs and wait another five, six minutes. If they want to score, keep doing it.” The Cowboys (3-1) spoiled former star running back Ezekiel Elliott's Dallas homecoming with their 10th consecutive home victory. It's the longest home streak since 1991-92, or almost two decades before AT&T Stadium opened. The Patriots (1-3) trailed by just seven early in the second quarter when Jones was sacked from behind by Dante Fowler, leading to the easy 11-yard scoop-and-score from Vander Esch. In the final seconds of the first half, Jones tried to throw across the field to Kendrick Bourne when Bland stepped in front and ran 54 yards untouched for a 28-3 Dallas lead. “He got an early one across the field so I couldn't let him do that again,” said Bland, who led the Cowboys with five interceptions as a rookie last season and has eight in 21 games. “I saw open field as soon as I got the ball and I was like, ‘Nobody is catching me from here.'” New England's previous biggest halftime deficit under Belichick was 24 points twice, including a 47-17 wild-card loss to Buffalo two seasons ago. In the famous rally from 28-3 down to beat Atlanta in Super Bowl 51, the Patriots trailed 21-3 at the break. via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #nfl #gmiasworld
LIONS dominate Packers to take control of the NFC North There's a new sheriff in town. After another big win over the Packers at Lambeau Field, the 3-1 Lions are positioning themselves to secure their first NFC North crown. Building off a 24-point first-half lead helped the Lions extend their division win streak to six -- and four straight over Green Bay. Detroit has tied the franchise's longest win streak in the division in the Super Bowl era (1983, 1995) with coach Dan Campbell turning the tide. Describe the game in two words: Gut check. Both the offense and defense held up their end of the bargain during a dominant first half, but Detroit's offense was shut out in the third quarter, as the Packers got within 10 to start the fourth, before ultimately sealing the deal with a strong finish in a hostile setting. Running back David Montgomery has a least one rushing touchdown in his first three games as a Lion. Despite missing Week 3 with a thigh injury, the former Bears running back picked up where he left off with two of his three rushing touchdowns before halftime. He has seamlessly filled the role of former Lions running back Jamaal Williams, now in New Orleans, who was able to break Hall of Famer Barry Sanders' team mark for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season with 17 in 2022. Entering the game, Montgomery had two rushing TDs in seven career games against the Packers. QB breakdown: What started off with an ugly drive -- Goff was intercepted by Packers safety Rudy Ford in the first two minutes -- quickly turned around with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown on the next drive. Goff picked Green Bay apart at times, finishing with 210 passing yards, 1 TD and 1 INT while completing 19 of 28 attempts. Goff is now 5-1 against the Packers in his career. The EAGLES Dominate The BUCS! Joe Burrows' Bengals Get an ugly Win! Monday Night Football Week 3 NFL season 2023-2024 9/25/23 Hurts had flu-like symptoms hit him right before the game, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. He had an up-and-down night against the Bucs, rushing and throwing for a score but also tossing a pair of interceptions. He finished 23 of 37 passing for 277 yards. The defense generated a pair of takeaways, and the Eagles' ground game rushed for 201 yards against a run defense ranked fourth coming into Monday, allowing just 54 yards per game. Wide receiver A.J. Brown also had his best outing of the season in yards (131) and receptions (nine). Hurts and the Eagles still haven't played their best ball, but they're sitting pretty as one of only three unbeaten teams left. Promising trend: The Eagles entered as the No. 2 rushing offense in the NFL (178 yards per game), and they once again dominated on the ground. Swift followed up a career-best performance against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2 (175 rush yards) with another monster performance, racking up 130 yards on 16 carries. He has officially emerged as Philadelphia's lead back after two touches in the season opener. Pivotal play: Rookies Jalen Carter and Sydney Brown both provided big-time plays on the defensive side of the ball in critical moments. Brown, the hard-charging safety out of Illinois, erased what appeared to be an easy Mike Evans touchdown midway through the second quarter by closing on the ball and forcing an incompletion in the corner of the end zone. Carter's impressive start to his career continued when he stripped an unsuspecting Rachaad White after making a catch over the middle later in the quarter. Carter is making an early case for Defensive Rookie of the Year, and this year's draft class overall is showing strong early returns. Eye-popping stat: Hurts now has the most rushing touchdowns in a quarterback's first 50 career games (29), surpassing Cam Newton (28) on Monday in his 48th game. The Dallas Cowboys SHOCKING Upset! Lamar Jacksons' Ravens TOUGH OT LOSS! "Y'all put us on top of the world," quarterback Dak Prescott said. "We knew who we are. And in that same sense, I'm sure the media got what they wanted. For us, there hasn't been but one undefeated team in this league ever. Ever. So, yeah, it sucks. It's humbling, but to say it's a wake-up call, we knew we had a lot of adversity -- we just didn't get it done." With the loss, the Cowboys missed out on their first 3-0 start since 2019, and they did something their NFC rivals, the Washington Commanders and New York Giants, did not do: lose to the Cardinals. The Cowboys have now lost seven of their past eight matchups against the Cardinals. The Cowboys entered Sunday with 40-0 and 30-10 wins against the Giants and New York Jets. The defense had 10 sacks and seven takeaways. The offense was good enough, though was poor in the red zone against the Jets, as well. The Cardinals had Joshua Dobbs at quarterback. And he completed 17 of 21 passes for 189 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals ran for 222 yards and had seven plays of at least 20 yards. "Feeling great about ourselves, but it's the NFL: It's Not For Long," defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence said. "So definitely put that feeling behind us. We got punched in the mouth tonight, but it's all about us. And it's really, I don't feel like they did anything special. I feel like through the pre-snap penalties and the flags after the plays, we actually beat ourselves." via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #nfl #gmiasworld #nflfootball
New York Giants FALL to 49ers But Its Not Daniel Jones' Fault The New York Giants kept dialing up blitzes and the San Francisco 49ers just got the ball into their playmakers' hands. Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown in his 12th straight game, Deebo Samuel caught one of Brock Purdy's two TD passes and the San Francisco 49ers won their 13th straight regular season game, 30-12 over the New York Giants on Thursday night. “They got a good bit of pressure on Brock and caused a couple of three-and-outs but it's about how long you can sustain doing that,” Samuel said. “So in the second half we came out executing." The Niners weren't particularly sharp on offense early in their home opener but got enough from McCaffrey and on big runs after the catch by Samuel and George Kittle to earn their second 3-0 start in 25 seasons. The Giants blitzed Purdy on 33 of his 39 dropbacks, according to NFL NextGen stats, and he capitalized with 247 of his 310 yards passing on those plays, including the touchdowns to rookie Ronnie Bell and Samuel. “I thought it was just a huge challenge, one of the bigger ones Brock has been in with a short week to prepare for a scheme like that,” coach Kyle Shanahan said. "There's not a comfortable play throughout the game. ... I thought he settled down as the game went on." McCaffrey ran for 85 yards, added 34 more receiving and scored on a 4-yard run that made it 17-3 late in the second quarter. That matched Jerry Rice's franchise record with 12 straight games in the regular season or playoffs with a TD and is three shy of the NFL mark. via @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC #NFL #GMIASWORLD #AMAZONPRIME
