Send us Fan MailRevelation gets treated like a strange riddle or an end-times hobby, so we slow down and start where the book starts: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” We read Revelation 1:1-3 and lean into the promise that there is real blessing for the one who reads, the one who hears, and the one who keeps what's written. That blessing isn't sentimental. It's meant to shape how we live when the pressure is on. We dig into why the text says the message was “signified” and what that means for reading Revelation as symbolic prophecy. Instead of forcing everything into a literal timeline, we talk about signs, symbols, and the way Revelation draws on the prophetic Scriptures to teach the church to see history from heaven's perspective. Then we move to Revelation 1:2 and the weight of John's role as a faithful witness, recording the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, not speculation or imagination. From there, the conversation gets practical: Revelation prepares Christians for conflict with the world, false religion, persecution and tribulation, and apostasy that can look religious on the surface. We also challenge popular claims about a pre-tribulation rapture and ask where the “seven-year tribulation” idea actually appears in Scripture. The panel adds strong reflections on readiness to meet Jesus, the urgency of sharing the gospel, and the need for clarity in a world full of noisy teaching. If you want a Revelation chapter 1 Bible study that keeps the focus on Christ and builds endurance, press play. Send us Fan MailRevelation gets treated like a codebook for the latest headline and it leaves a lot of Christians either terrified, obsessed, or checked out. We're going the opposite direction. We start where the text starts: Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ, and if we don't keep Him as the focus, we're going to misread everything else that follows. We spend serious time in Revelation 1:1–3, especially the promise of blessing for the one who reads, the ones who hear, and the ones who keep what's written. We talk about what “keep” actually means (to guard, preserve, and hold fast), why public reading and shared study matter, and why this book is meant to comfort believers who face real pressure, persecution, and temptation to compromise. Revelation isn't meant to be sealed off for elite commentators or end-times influencers. It's meant for the church. Then we address the big modern assumptions head-on: dispensationalism, a pre-trib rapture escape plan, and the habit of importing ideas into Revelation that aren't there. We argue for a clearer, more biblical eschatology that begins with Christ's exaltation and present reign. The kingdom of God is active now, the conflict is present, and the call is endurance, not escapism. If you've ever wondered why Revelation feels confusing or weaponized, this conversation will help you reset your starting point and read with more confidence, humility, and hope. Send us Fan MailRevelation starts like a letter, not a puzzle box, and we take that seriously. John writes to seven actual churches, and we talk about why the number seven signals completeness, a message aimed at the whole church across the ages. That one detail creates a huge problem for the common claim that the church disappears from the story early on. If Jesus is addressing his people, we ask, why would the book be structured for an audience that is supposedly already gone? We also get honest about the emotional pull behind end-times systems that promise escape. We talk about suffering, persecution, and the repeated biblical call to endure to the end, because Jesus suffered and told us not to fear the world he already overcame. Then we bring in history and biblical hermeneutics: the pre-tribulation rapture framework is traced to the 1830s with John Nelson Darby and its spread through the Scofield Reference Bible. We question how certain interpretive “rules” entered Bible reading at all, especially when they seem to override the plain sense of a text written to the churches. From there, the conversation turns constructive and practical: what is the church? We dig into the word ecclesia, its roots as an assembly, and how Scripture emphasizes a gathered people rather than a building. We talk about the synagogue as “gathering,” the idea of Christ's kingdom and governance, and why any group centered on Jesus Christ and his Word is a real assembly. If you've ever felt judged for where or how you gather, this will hit home. Send us Fan Mail“Church” can feel like a place you go, a brand you join, or a service you attend. We want to slow that down and let the Bible define its own terms. When the New Testament calls the church the ecclesia, it is using language tied to an assembled people with a public identity, and Scripture keeps reinforcing that identity with words like house, nation, citizens, ambassadors, rule, authority, and kingdom. Once you spot that pattern, passages you've heard for years start sounding like a single story instead of disconnected verses. We walk through a rapid-fire chain of texts, from Hebrews and 1 Peter to Matthew 16 and Ephesians, asking one repeated question: where is the kingdom language? Along the way we talk about “more than conquerors,” Christ leading “captivity captive,” the armor of God, and why “the gates of hell” is not just comfort language but a claim about Christ's unstoppable reign. Then we zoom out to Daniel 2 and 1 Corinthians 15 to see the big arc of history: Christ reigns until every enemy is subdued, with death as the last enemy to fall. We also tackle confusion points that come up fast when you talk about dominion, government, and end-times theology. We draw a bright line between biblical kingdom language and modern dominion theology that pushes a physical takeover of worldly governments. Jesus says his kingdom is not of this world, yet it is still a real kingdom with real citizens and a real “law of faith.” If you've wrestled with dispensationalism, pre-trib assumptions, or how Revelation fits the rest of the Bible, this conversation is built to make you re-read with clearer eyes. If this helped you think more carefully about the kingdom of God, share it with a friend, subscribe for the next study, and leave a review so more listeners can find it. His words, His works, and the testimony surrounding Him all point to one clear truth that demands a response. Some reject Him despite overwhelming evidence, while others believe and find life. The difference is not in the proof given but in the heart that receives it, because eternal hope is found only in acknowledging Him for who He is and trusting Him fully. Who Is Your Enemy? A Christian Testimony of Jesus' Love and Forgiveness with Bishop Dr. Yasser Eric

Episode SummaryIn this deeply moving episode of Journey of Hope, host Elio Constantine launches a new mini-series with a powerful conversation titled “Who Is Your Enemy?” Joined by Dr. Yasser Eric, a bishop within the Global Anglican Church and a former radical Sunni Muslim, the episode explores the biblical meaning of enemies and Christ's radical call to love them.Dr. Yasser Eric shares his extraordinary testimony of growing up in Sudan within a fanatical Muslim environment marked by generational hatred toward Christians and others deemed “different.” As a teenager, he was immersed in extremist ideology that glorified violence and dehumanized perceived enemies. This indoctrination culminated in a brutal attack on a Christian classmate named Zakaria, whom Dr. Yasser Eric nearly killed—believing at the time he was serving God.Everything changed when Dr. Yasser Eric encountered Jesus through the compassion and prayers of Christians he once hated. While visiting a hospital, he witnessed two believers praying with love and authority over a dying child—an experience that revealed to him a God of mercy, intimacy, and grace. That moment marked the beginning of his transformation, leading him to faith in Christ at the age of 19, estrangement from his family, imprisonment, and eventually a calling to ministry. The episode reaches a profound climax when Dr. Yasser Eric recounts a later encounter with Zakaria—the very man he had attacked—who reveals that he had been praying for him all those years. This moment powerfully illustrates Jesus' command to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” showing that transformation is only possible through Christ's love, not human strength. This episode challenges listeners to confront cycles of hatred, reject violence, and embrace the reconciling power of prayer and forgiveness. It sets the tone for the mini-series by reminding us that the true enemy is not flesh and blood—and that loving our enemies is one of the clearest reflections of Jesus in us.Show Notes: Biblically, enemies are not merely people who annoy or oppose usScripture teaches that our struggle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6)Hatred is often inherited, taught, and normalized across generationsThe Danger of Religious ExtremismReligion without Christ can fuel violence and dehumanizationFaith can become dangerous when it is disconnected from love and truthViolence always produces more violence—never peaceThe Power of Prayer and CompassionTwo Christians praying for a dying child changed Dr. Yasser Eric's life foreverCompassion revealed a God who is personal, loving, and nearPrayer became the instrument God used to transform an enemy into a discipleLoving Your Enemy: A Gospel CommandJesus' command to love enemies is impossible without HimForgiveness and love are not human achievements but divine workZakaria's prayers broke a generational cycle of hatredA Life Transformed by ChristFrom persecutor to pastorFrom hatred to reconciliationFrom enemy to brother in ChristDr. Yasser Eric now leads a global movement of Muslim-background believers spanning over 80 countries, bearing witness to the redemptive power of Jesus Christ.

You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.41 “I do not receive honor from men. 42 But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43 I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44 How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words? To support this channel and partner with Brian in Ministryhttps://www.briansumner.net/support/For more on Brianhttp://www.briansumner.nethttps://www.instagram.com/BRIANSUMNER/https://www.facebook.com/BRIANSUMNEROFFICIALTo listen to Brians Podcast, click below.https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast...Purchase Brians Marriage book at https://www.amazon.com/Never-Fails-Da...Brian is a full time "Urban Missionary" both locally and internationally with a focus on MISSIONS - MARRIAGES - MINISTRY. Since coming to faith in 2004 doors continued opening locally and internationally to do more and more ministry with a focus on Evangelism, Outreach Missions, Marriage, Counsel, Schools, Festivals, Conferences and the like.  Everything about this ministry is made possible because of people personally partnering through the non profit. God Bless and thank you. †Support the showSUPPORT THE SHOW

An illegal trial takes place at the residence of the high priest where Jesus is mocked and beaten as well as questioned by the leadership. Looking back at Luke 1:3-5, we are reminded that Luke wrote his gospel “so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.” The emphasis of Luke's gospel account has been to present the evidence that Jesus is in fact the Christ, the Son of Man, the Son of God.
