Matthew Topley is the Founder and CIO of Lansing Street Advisors, an independent RIA based out of Pennsylvania that oversees $160 million in assets under management for 60 client households. Matthew has been able to differentiate his firm by offering high-net-worth clients the opportunity to diversify their investment portfolio by syndicating private real estate partnerships that directly purchase individual multi-unit rental properties. In this episode, Matthew shares the realization he had that led him to diversify his own investments, as well as how he was introduced to truly passive income. Listen in to learn why he built his firm around financial planning advice (even though his background is in portfolio management), why he outsources much of his back-office services to focus specifically on conversations around financial planning advice and real estate investing opportunities, and how he uses tools and systems to execute on syndication deals on an ongoing basis throughout the year. India came from behind to take down the 5 match T20 international series, versus England. In part one the boys from The Cricket Podcast, Jack, Ross and Max, discuss how this happened. What did India learn across the series? Why are they now better set up for success? And who is winning the white ball arms race between the two nations? Later, they pick a combined India/England XI. This ends up being slightly India heavy, which reflects the series. A couple of big names miss out, and in the end everyone is worried the team they have picked is slightly underwhelming. Let us know what you think on Twitter. In part 3, they preview the ODI series. England look like they will rotate, with Parkinson, Livingstone and Topley waiting for a game. India, on the other hand, have put out their strongest XI (less Bumrah and Jadeja). What does this mean for outcome of the series? And can England learn anything now, which will help them at the 2023 World Cup? If you like our show then please subscribe on your chosen platform, and don't forget to let a friend know! The William James Topley photographic collection is one of the most important visual records of Canada. The photographs produced by the Topley Studio provide a vivid documentation of the political, social, cultural, economic, technological, and architectural changes during the first 50 years of Canada after Confederation. The collection documents life in the Ottawa area—as well as people and events in other regions of the country—between 1868 and 1923. In this episode, we speak with Library and Archives Canada (LAC) archivist, Emma Hamilton-Hobbs, about the Topley collection, which is one of the most widely consulted sources of late 19th- and early 20th-century photographs held at LAC.
