As a Christian, How Do You Know when You Hear “a still small voice” that It Is the Holy Spirit? Listening Always in Your Personal Relationship with God MESSAGE SUMMARY: We know, from the New Testament, that Christians are given the Holy Spirit to walk with them -- "a voice behind you". Isaiah tells us in Isaiah 30:21: "And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.". Since the Holy Spirit takes up residence in you, the way the Lord speaks to you is through the inward witness of the Holy Spirit -- the Spirit will speak, and you will know that it is the Lord. In John 14:26, Jesus reminds us about His promise, to His followers, of the “Helper” (Holy Spirit): “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”. Additionally, in John 16-7, Jesus tells us that not only will the Holy Spirit be your “Helper”, the Holy Spirit will be your “Comforter”: “Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.".   TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: Today, Because of who I am in Jesus Christ, I will not be driven by Hatred. Rather, I will abide in the Lord’s Love. “I am the vine; you are the branches. Hey Punky Peeps, Welcome to a New Year and a new Season of the Punky Brewster. I’m Angela Bowen the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. I talk about my time meeting the band Hanson in 2011 when I'd first listened to them back in 1997 when I was 14 and their pictures graced my walls. Speaking of reading I talk about the time I got Jeremy who by the way doesn't like to read I got him to read at least 10 books and this was before we started dating.
