Note from Lucas: I know some folks might have a difficult time with talking about Wendigo in fiction. I myself am Metis and the way it was discussed by elders was the Wendigo was a cautionary tale of anger, isolation, and pain. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED   The party heads into the forest with everyone, realizing that a winter has set over the woods. Akihiko asked Nysla about love as they head deeper in readying themselves.  They set off their plan to trap the boss in the fire trap and a bit of it goes wrong with Lune losing a portion of his people and wishing it was him instead. The party fights and the battle is brutal with scores upon scores of people perishing. The boss is piercing players on its antlers and when they are on there, they don't truly die. Akihiko is almost slain and Houndman takes the hit and is killed. Nysla almost dies from a number of attacks and is unconscious. Lune criticals two times in a row and at the last moment defeats the boss.  The party realizes they lost over 100 players in this battle and many dear friends. They are broken, battered, and scarred. This is the cost of victory.

We're back on our creepy doll bullshit with the 2018 middle grade horror book The Collector by K.R. Alexander. We have a lot of questions (and a few answers) after reading this book like are the baby dolls in this story all children that have been turned into dolls? What's with all these creepy doll stories being set in the midwest? Are we going to talk about Reagan, Taylor Swift, and the Barbie movie every episode (probably)? We get philosophical when it comes to what the baby doll means in childhood and girlhood, and talk about the specialness of grandma's basement — including Kaycee's grandma's weird Disney knock-off VHS movies. Plus, bird baths full of baby doll heads…there's not much more to say about that. A New Haven apartment building fire has displaced a number of families, more than 35 people in total. Assistant Chief Danny Coughlin was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about the rescue effort, which included pets hiding that had to be found, and the rumor of where the fire originated. They also mention some humorous moments in the film and Cage's inspiration for certain lines and actions. Johnny Spoiler and crew discuss their favorite bits from the movie Vampire's Kiss, starring Nicolas Cage. Johnny Spoiler mentions the scene where Cage's character is buying fake teeth and his slow descent into madness. Dangerous Dave talks about how Maria Conchita Alonso, who typically plays a badass character, plays a victim in this film. The crew also mentions Cage's character terrorizing his assistant, particularly the scene where he jumps on her desk and declares himself a vampire. Another favorite scene mentioned is the one where Cage's character goes through the entire alphabet. Despite being an awful boss, Cage's character is still likable and quirky. The crew is discussing the Fandango YouTube channel and their interest in AI. Jordan Savage mentions a question from a Fandango interview about which possessed doll would be the top doll if they were in the same movie. The crew lists various dolls and movies with creepy dolls, including Annabelle, Chucky, May, the dolls from Dolls, and the puppets from Puppet Master.
