Hello & Welcome to the final episode of the 6, 8 or 10 Podcast. It's been a glorious 3 seasons but unfortunately its time to call it a day & I couldn't think of a better way to finish than with the man who helped me on not only this journey but in life, Graham Hunter. Please note that this episode was filmed a few months ago, some stories will be relevant to this time. I'd like to thank everyone who has or will listen to this podcast. A pipe dream in which I began as a coping mechanism for my own mental health. I'd also like to thank the Blue Lenas who provide the incredible soundtrack, with Keep the Motor Running as well as Graham for his suggestion for After the Fair by the Coral to play out the final episode. And then there is the guests, all 50 of them who have shared their magnificent stories from season 1 to 3. You have been beautiful and an inspiration to me. I'm forever grateful to everyone and anyone who has listened to, connected with or have had an impact throughout this adventure of mine. That's a job well done from me. So for one last time. This episode is brought to you from the comfort of my living room, and Frazer's office at the Right 2 Dream academy in Ghana. I've know Frazer since I started working with the Scottish FA well over 10 years ago while he was up and coming at St Mirren. Like many stories lately we start off in lockdown, we discuss the effects on Frazer personally as well as the staff & players at the academy. We are back for season 03 in what was possibly the shortest break ever. HUMBLE > A word used throughout this podcast. Keep it in mind as you listen. There was no better was to kick off the new season that to have a chat with Scotland International & F.C Rosengård Attacker, Fiona Brown. I've know Fiona for quite some time and have admired her as not only a footballer but as a person. Her journey started out as a kid kicking a ball around at Stenhousemuir in their community sessions before moving on to her beloved Celtic. She speaks admirably about the team she joined at Celtic, the friends she made and the desire to get better every session. She also speaks about her coaches at the time Paul Brownlie & Tina Ferguson who are still friends to this day. At the age of 15 Fiona made her debut for Celtic, an age in which she agrees was maybe too young at the time but enjoyed it. A few years down the line she would move to Champions, Glasgow City. At City, Fiona was unplayable. Pace, Power, Goals, Assists, Enjoyment, A Threat, Trophies, Injuries & Champions League. Thats the short of her time with Glasgow City. After returning from a torn ACL, the season after Fiona moved to Sweden with Eskiltuna before moving to F.C Rosengård where she has just returned from another knee injury. We talk set backs & Injuries as well as advice she would give to her younger self. Her answer blew me away. We of course talk about Scotland and her pride of pulling on that jersey. I knew in season 1 that I wanted to speak to Owen and I'm delighted we got him on as a guest. His natural storytelling ability is second to none, he's up there with the best. Once you hit play he has you locked in from then on in, hooked. You can find him doing so on Mundial's collaboration and Spotify Original, GIANT. It's a podcast which is in my top 2, it has 7 great episodes which will take you on a journey through the years in football, each one different from the last but it's about Football. We speak about lockdown and the effects its had on not only himself but Mundial. How are they coping & adapting as a business in such times. Childhood, he takes us back there and speaks about his first memories and a childhood spent idolising the Liverpool team of the 80s, the kits, the stickers, the players. Barnes, Beardsley & Aldridge. We also speak about his time coaching and why he got into it. He wouldn't mind being involved again but like everyone, time is of the essence. He wrote a piece at the start of lockdown, A love letter to passing. You can find it on our twitter page. It's beautiful, it really is and it makes me think back to the enjoyment I had as a kid and as a player. It's an art form which you perfect and there are so many artists we go on to speak about. If we missed out your favourite we do apologise but we could have spent an hour or two just talking about this. As I mentioned before he is the voice of the award winning podcast, GIANT. We couldn't not speak about this and their ability to tell some unbelievable stories in as a documentary series. My favourite being the Magnificent 7, go check it out. Words can't do it justice. We finish by speaking about why he loves football. Ask yourself that question and see if you can come up with a definitive answer. Thanks again for tuning in, Stay Safe. Bye Now.

We also speak about our time together at college and how we feel it helped when moving into the real world. We then take a trip back to his childhood, somewhere I always like to go with guests to talk about his memories and heroes. His coaching journey is inspiring, it speaks for itself. He has spent 10 years at Queens Park, which means he should be due a testimonial any time soon. He worked his way from Community Classes to Head Coach of the 18s. An impressive journey, one that he has sacrificed a lot of time too. A current UEFA A Licence coach, we speak to him about his experiences on the licence courses and the words he has for aspiring young players. They ooze nostalgia, immediately transport you back to your childhood and a gentle reminder of why you love the game. If you haven't read them already - then what are you waiting for!!!! We also touch on Daniel's adventures in the game, following football up and down the country. His love of Middlesbrough & his Scottish club Hibs among other things. So sit back, relax and enjoy. I sat down with Keith for the second episode of season 2 and wasn't disappointed. We spoke football for a couple of hours at Toryglen, the sun was splitting the sky outside hence the sound of the A/C. Keith takes us through his career, from Childhood to hanging up the boots at Fir Park where he has reached legendary status. We also talk about playing part time before making the jump to professional football, he was plying his trade as a spark before Billy Davies made the call for him to join Motherwell. His thirst for learning is eye opening as we speak about coaching, how he made the transition from player to coach and how he finds working alongside Steve Robinson. We finish off talking about another passion of ours, Music. Enjoy Bye Now

EP21 has taken me a long time to upload and for that I'll apologise. What I won't apologise for is the passion for which the beautiful game is shared in this episode. Ross has great knowledge and huge interest in the game, he shares his experiences in the senior game along with personal experiences on his journey to get where he is today. We can't help talk about our boyhood team - Rangers, reminiscing of the wonder years in which we were fortunate enough to see. We also speak about Ross's heroes who come by the truckload. Good Luck to Ross & Livingston for this season. Enjoy!

Part 2 is here, many thanks for the love & support for Part 1! In the second instalment of EP20 Eddie lets us into the world of Management, one of which first began doing some community coaching at Dundee United, he them progressed into the Youth system. A journey to Abroath & Brechin's youth academies would follow before he would head into Management in the Juniors. A successful spell at Lochee United would see him move into management with Montrose, a club in which he holds close to his heart. Sadly it wasn't to be and we hear in great detail why. Glasgow City beckoned, little did we know he would revolutionise the club at senior & youth level. Trophies, Champions League nights & Trebles would be the pinnacle. Of course we couldn't finish without speaking about something we have a great passion for, Barcelona! so sit back & enjoy wandering into the beautiful footballing mind of Eddie Wolecki Black, I know I did.

We talk about how football began for Eddie, his playing career at Dundee United, The Joeys, Brechin & latterly Montrose. We also speak about his idol, hero - Paul Sturrock, not to mention the influence his own mentor, Dundee United & Scottish Football Icon - Jim McLean had on him. Sadly just over a year ago Eddie suffered a stroke while manager at Airdrie during a game v Cowdenbeath. HIs footballing mind is still sharp, filled with stories and knowledge. As a kid I would sit or stand on the terraces with my Dad, following Rangers everywhere. You would always join in with the songs, missing out some words as you went along because you didn't want to swear & get into trouble. One that will never leave me is about my hero Ian Durrant, the man I got to sit down and talk about football. I got the chance to ask Ian about his career at Rangers, playing for the club he supported & playing with so many legends throughout the years. We also speak about that Champions League run in 92-93, playing under Souness & how he himself got into coaching. Its another one which is short but very sweet. There will be a part 2, which I cannot wait to record! Oh & finally the Blue Lenas are back on the soundtrack, a true thing of beauty. Bye Now!

Well, we had a little break over the festive period mainly because of an onslaught of viral infections but we are back! EP17 is with someone who I admire as a footballer & a person, Erin is fantastic on the pitch - creative, imaginative, hardworking & possesses the desire & drive to further her career. Keep in mind that she is still very young that is something special to have. I like people who always want to develop & further themselves in life & Erin does just that. We touch on her days as a tot playing with Kilwinning & scoring that goal in the cup final v Motherwell in the dying seconds. We also speak about her time at Rangers, the club she supports & still watches when she can - a club that helped give her the breakthrough into senior football. Then came Scottish giants Glasgow City, Erin picked up some valuable experience there as well as another Domestic treble - something she has now achieved at every age group she has played. Champions League & her first A Squad call up would follow after an impressive season in the Orange of City. Erin also talks about her recent move to Chelsea, a move which I think is a great one for her & can't wait to see what the future holds for her. We also dabble on her heroes and the enjoyment she takes from watching Barcelona, how she studied the mavericks like Iniesta, Xavi & one a little closer to home in Barry Ferguson. Erin also spoke about a huge factor on what's helped her on this adventure she is on just now, Family. A very important factor indeed. Away from the pitch Erin is a good kid, so I wish her all the best for the future & the rest of her adventure!

Some of which I have taken into my own coaching. We used to chat daily about football, we only sat a few desks away from each other or we would be on the pitch together. Brian gave me my first coaching gig 7 years ago so for that I am thankful. Brian has a passion & enthusiasm for the game that you can't help but love. A believer that learning the game on the streets benefited himself in his own professional career, he encourages the youth of today to continue this daily during & away from his sessions. We chat to Brian about his playing career, coaching career & who he idolised as a kid - playing on the streets. We also chat about the Old Firm Derby, not many people can say they have experience that feeling. I hope you enjoy. Bye Now!

Our relationship began at the beginning of this year. I had religiously found aid in his work, whether that be his insight from behind the scenes on the evolution of Barcelona under Pep Guardiola or Spain's historic 3 titles in a row at major Uefa Championships. Then along came the podcasts from the Big Interview in which I found refuge in. I can only thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak to me - as I do with all guests. Already reading the above you can tell he has been a massive influence on me so when I got the opportunity to speak to him about a game we love so dearly I was never going to pass it up. What I love most about Graham is his passion for the game, it oozes from every word he speaks & quite frankly its contagious! His knowledge is second to none & he has stories, anecdotes that could fill you with joy & laughter for hours upon hours. In our short sit down we touch on his love for Aberdeen, the adoration he has for the club he grew up supporting as a boy is admirable. We also speak about one of the greats, someone who Graham was very close to - Johan Cruyff. Sleep Easy Johan! Then we sadly come to an end talking about one of my favorites Andres Iniesta - a maverick of a player who captivates my imagination every time I see him. Until next time my friend... Surely by now you know the drill, if not then let me educate you on the routine you should follow: Get your headphones, get some sort of beverage & relax - get the feet up & enjoy Graham's beautiful insight into the game! It's always nice to have a little sit down with someone you admire & talk football. That's exactly what I done with Scotland International & Glasgow City Captain Leanne Ross. Her love & passion for the game was a thing of beauty as she filled us in on her journey so far. 10 in a Row, yes she was there for all 10! Top Goalscorer for Glasgow City, something you may struggle to see again - the Champions League Adventures of past years and of course Scotland qualifying for the Euros in Holland. Leanne plays with such elegance, especially when in possession. Dogged & determined when off the ball, clever in movements - adapting to space, some space you wouldn't even know is there. I also wanted to talk about her technical prowess, she strokes the ball effortlessly around the pitch - for me it's a joy to watch & I'm sure others would agree. I can honestly say I loved recording this episode & wish Leanne all the best for next season, especially when it comes to the Euros! A nicer person & role model you will not meet. Grab a nice beverage & enjoy!

Growing up we all had a hero, to me that's John Joyce, he's my dad. He introduced me to football when I was younger, he took me to games & played football with me in garden when no one else would. Along with my mum he bought me my first football boots, my first strip and gave me a never ending love & passion for the game. Now that was something you couldn't buy! He helped me perfect my craft on & off the field, he also set the wheels in motion for 6, 8 or 10. So you will be wondering why it took so bloody long to record this episode & if your truly know him you will know the answer. He is a man of few words, I mean he will talk but doesn't tend to like doing so for long periods of time. So in a way I'm lucky that I get to share this episode with you. We cover his career to date - both playing & coaching. How it all began, again playing & coaching. Who he grew up supporting, following them across Europe. We touch on his heroes - which range from the likes of Davie Cooper, Willie Henderson, Jimmy Johnstone & of course his idol John Greig. He has a real passion & knowledge for the game it would have been a shame if I didn't get him on the podcast. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for listening! Dad, Coach, Hero.

Elegant, intelligent and prolific - three words I would use to describe her best. On the pitch that is, off the pitch she seems very laid back and enjoys a box set & listening to Years & Years (still not Westlife though are they?!) now she has some spare time. Sue recently retired as Glasgow City's all time top scorer, bare in mind that she is a midfielder who has a knack for arriving late in the box. We talk about Sue's love for the game, passion shinning in her eyes as she talks about her beloved Celtic, her playing career which has went from Glasgow to Merseyside and pit stop in London and then back to Glasgow again!!! I can only speak for myself when I share my excitement for this episode, I loved every minute of it and I really do hope you enjoy this episode with the Legend that is Suzanne Lappin. Bye Now!

Now at 6, 8 or 10 we love, admire & idolize the visionaries of the game. We, like our guests live and breathe football and we can be forgiven for getting a little excited about the finer things it has to offer. I believe Christie is one of them, a beautiful footballer - intelligent, creative, hard working. I could go on but what is evident about the Scotland International is that she loves the game and wants just wants to enjoy playing it. I've also used Prince as the theme song after the Lena's of course, he is another idol of mine. Sleep easy Purple man! Billy Stark! What a lovely man! I had heard nothing but good things about Billy when researching his illustrious career as a player & a manager. So much so Brian McLaughlin decided to ask a question that he seems to bring up on every occasion when talking to Billy, what about those shorts?!! We start off with his playing career, one that I never got the chance to see in the flesh, I was a little too young to remember that. On the other hand I can just about remember his entire coaching & managerial one. His time with Celtic & Tommy Burns are all to familiar to me. It's not too shabby when you hear his stories. Don't call it a comeback! Every time I go to talk about this episode or write about it the above pops into my head, it contradicts what we speak about with Matty because it is a comeback and a pretty impressive one at that, just don't say it out loud. I've know him since we were 9 years old, kicking a ball around Castlemilk - played together at boys club, played against each other as we grew up. He signed for Dundee Utd while I went somewhere a little closer to home in Motherwell. Matty is honest, open and passionate about the game, if you could have seen him talk yesterday then you would have seen the arms flying everywhere. At one point I think he stood up, showing his admiration for players who excite and entertain, not to mention his hate for the negativity that surrounds the game. He admits himself that Football is all he knows, or has known until he was faced with the challenge of not being that guy anymore. 3 long years he spent out the game, 3 long years in which he was led astray and suffered from depression, self destructing in the footballing wilderness. 3 years later he among others help the Galabankies on their promotion charge. On the day Annan were great, fantastic hosts especially on a match day. They even had the sun on for us arriving. Thanks to everyone who were accommodating as always involved at the club. We started the podcast in the stand, not our smartest move since everyone and their granny wanted to speak to Matty and get photos, we were then victims of some fresh speakers - the music choice wasn't the greatest. I think the players will vouch for that haha! We quickly moved to a quieter more secluded area, no doubt you will notice that throughout the podcast. I thoroughly enjoyed recording this episode and in recent times I think I may be finding my match when it comes to talking about the game I love until I am blue in the face. So get those headphones, get a cold one or a nice hot beverage to heat you up and relax! Bye Now!
