After years of trying to get him to do one, Geth Shooter finally caved in and we just recorded a Podcast whilst I'm over in the UK. We cover a lot. Starting out riding for Two Wheel Service Bike Shop, Bunneys GT, Redline, GT, Titan and Free Agent (distributed by Raleigh) later on down the road in the Masters category while working at Raleigh in the mid 2000s. We talk about doubling at both the 84 NBMXA National Series and British Championships in his first full year of racing. Racing with Scott Williams, Martin Jose and Charlie Reynolds that same year. Geth talks turning Pro and maybe missing out on racing in Europe by not racing Superclass first, winning the first round of the Kelloggs against the Americans, his thoughts on Pro racing the first few years, maybe where he might have featured at the Slough 86 Worlds if he had raced. We talk about Geth's domination in the 87, 88 season before moving back down to Superclass mid 88 season and racing the new era of British riders moving into the 90s. We talk about some of the riders he raced with from Ruffell, March, Woods, Robinson, Middleton and later Gary Llewellyn, Craig Scofield era to Tony Fleming, Damon Parkinson, Lee Alexander, Tom Lynch, Neal Wood, Anthony Revell, myself later in the 80s and, finally getting to race in Europe, something you were not allowed to do if you were a UK Pro in the mid 80s. We talk about Geth riding the Ilkeston Brickyard, Nottingham Broadmarsh, Brighouse Trails, Redditch and more, alongside his time working at British Cycling, riding road bikes these days, being inducted into the first ever British BMX Hall of Fame last month and so much more.
The 2022 Season is finally here and I for one and truly excited for what this season holds for us!!! I kick the show off with two young players that were the bright stars in our scrimmage against Avon last Friday night and a talk with the Senior leader of our Defense in Linebacker, Lee Alexander. These young men and bright and ready to take our team to new heights this year. And finally after much delay, I was able to get the leader of our Warriors, Head Coach Mike Kirschner, on to the show. He and I discuss our big moment following last years epic Ben Davis victory as well as many other aspects behind last season. Then we take a deep dive on what has made him a coach that's different than others and how he works to get the best from all of his players. Then finally I put him on the spot to talk about some of the great players he coached and coached against while over on the West side. This was truly an amazing 1 on 1 sit down interview with the leader of our program and you will not want to miss this one. So sit back and enjoy another great episode of True Warrior Football!!!

Your love for your father is strong, but he has disappointed you time and time again. He promised you that last week's drink was going to be the last one. There have been many “last ones.” Your best friend has slowly drifted down a rabbit hole of drug abuse and self harm. Despite your pleas for him to stop, he continues down this dark path. Your child has become hopelessly attached to their phone. They cannot for a waking moment put it down or interact in any other way. Their eyes are always reflecting back that dull blue light. It is a sad truth that many people may become addicted to a substance or item or know someone with an addiction. Interventions and acts of love may be used in speaking to one with an addiction, but the results may vary. Perhaps the only way to help, you believe, is to cut them off entirely. No contact until they change their ways. Perhaps, instead you feel that you must be there all the time and restrict their use through force or manipulation. Addiction is a complex issue with many facets that contribute to the addiction itself. There are also many tools that can help those that suffer from addictions. Join Carson Lee Alexander-White and Oleg, as they dive deep into personal addictions throughout their lives, ways they've been able to recover from them, and other related topics.
Celtic beat Glasgow City 1-0 to claim the SWPL Cup final at Firhill and end an 11-year wait for silverware. Caitlin Hayes' first-half header was decisive in front of a record 3,645 fans - the highest attendance for a domestic women's cup final in Scotland. And Celtic could have won by more had it not been for the heroics of Glasgow City goalkeeper Lee Alexander. Anyone's Game pair Gordon McColm and Chris Toner were there to record this special episode of the podcast.
While in the UK, I managed to record a couple of Podcasts. Last week while down in London, I met up and recorded the first one with Tom Lynch and the following week I will post the one I did with Keith Duly (Jump Club), both of which I really enjoyed doing. Tom Lynch is one of the riders in the UK that inspired both me coming through the amateur ranks in the 80s and many others in the UK during his time, with his riding style and coming from behind for wins. If you were around who can forget in 1986 when Tom won the Superclass European Championship finals in Weiterstadt, Germany at just 16 years old against the Powerful Dutch Amev Team. Tom shares his early days training and taking racing seriously at a young age, getting on Patterson and battling for the UK titles in probably one of the hardest UK age groups in history with the likes of Stu Diggens, Darren Wood, Whoppa Watkins, Steve Greaves, Lee Alexander, Dave Morris, Tim Print and the names go on. Tom talks about winning 15x at the 85 Euros in Spain fresh on Redline (Patterson frame with Redline stickers), going there with a plan, being in the zone and executing it and becoming the European Champion. Tom talks Kelloggs, getting on Robinson and working with Tony Hoffman turning Superclass at an early age and changing teams to ASR. He battled the likes of Darrin Stock, Andy Welsh and a fresh and hungry Neal Wood when he turned Superclass. He also went up against the European talented riders from Xavier Redois, Eric Minozzi and the strong Dutch Superclass contingent. Tom talks about getting on Haro racing, Mike King and then getting on Elf and turning racing more into fun as he transitioned to working as he headed into the 90s. We chat about LRP (London Rocket People) the Jive guys, riding with Will Smyth, Rom and early Backyard Jams. Of course we talk about Tom working at the London Ambulance Service HQ in Waterloo (Cycle Team Hub) as a Cycle Response Unit Operations Officer and all about the programs. He deservingly received an MBE and meeting both the Queen and Prince Charles. Tom was the first official British Cycling BMX Coach. He shares the early days of the program with a young Shanaze Reade, Liam and Charlie Phillips, the Murray brothers, Joey Gough and so much more.

Friend of the show, Lee Alexander, pops by for a chat, no more than week since he returned to Jersey after a whirlwind 9 months in Vancouver. Lee is a qualified cocktail mixologist, semi-professional poker player and snowboarding instructor; basically the career aspirations of many a 12-year-old boy.In this episode we're talking about the adage of 'the grass isn't always greener', and what that means when we apply it to large scale life changes and career choices; how we often project our insecurities into our environment, placing blame in the place rather than ourselves.Bit of swearing, so block your freakin' ears if that's a concern, but for the rest of you, sit back and enjoy!-If you've got any comments or questions about this episode please feel free to get in touch at my instagram, @johnliot -Sanctuary by AERØHEAD feat. This podcast is provided by Ben Glass and Steve Emmert www.BenGlassReferrals.com - www.Virginia-Appeals.com Granted Appeal Summary Case LINDA LEE ALEXANDER v. DAVID COBB (Record Number 181613) From The Circuit Court of Bath County; J.E. Wetsel, Jr., Judge. Counsel Robert J. Test for appellant. Melisa G. Michelsen (Litten & Sipe L.L.P.) for appellee. Assignment of Error The trial court erred in not granting the Plaintiff/Petitioner’s Motion for Declaratory Judgment, instead ruling that the real property that is the subject matter of this case, belonged to the Defendant/Respondent (a 25% interest) and to the Plaintiff/Petitioner (a 75% interest). The Plaintiff/Petitioner claims a full ownership interest in the properties. The Petitioner relies upon the ruling of the Alexandria Circuit Court, Lisa Kemler, Judge, in an order entered on October 27, 2011, as determinative of ownership of the properties and the rights of the parties. The trial court erred in not following that ruling, but instead determined that a subsequent order, issued by Judge Humes Franklin and entered on December 15, 2015, in the Bath County Circuit Court, was controlling in determining the ownership of the property. Rebecca and I took time to record something last night and post it this morning. Rebecca’s really come on board with the podcast, and I highlight some of her awesomeness. In fact, she has secured yet another interview opportunity with a band coming to Vancouver, so we make that announcement as well as discuss the new avenues that RadioZoom is exploring. Being part two of my one year anniversary in Vancouver, we can’t get through this episode without doing some Vancouver Trivia, no matter how much Ubercaster messes up on us. I have to say, I’m really amazed with how much I have learned about this city in the past year. We also take a moment to get to some feedback that we’ve received from listeners. Be sure to check out the ever changing website for RadioZoom. The “RZ Blog” has been added and will feature updates about the podcast. The work of the late, great designer Lee Alexander McQueen consistently blurred the lines between fashion and art, a fact celebrated in the exhibition Lee Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse which put his work in conversation with artists who drew on similar themes and visual references. Curators Clarissa Esguerra and Michaela Hansen join us to discuss the exhibition which originated at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 2022 and has since been reincarnated at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne as Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse and the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec as Alexander McQueen: Art Meets Fashion.
