Weekly, 20 minute episodes of Christian, Biblical Truth! No false teaching, no watered-down theology! The No Trash, Just Truth! podcast by Proverbs 9:10 Ministries is a breath of fresh air in the world of Christian podcasts. Led by hosts Rose Spiller and Chris Paxson, this podcast offers Biblically sound teachings that will challenge and inspire listeners. As someone who was led astray by false teachers for many years, I find solace in the fact that these ladies are dedicated to sharing the truth of God's Word.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the genuine friendship and camaraderie between Rose and Chris. It feels as though you are sitting down with friends over a cup of coffee, discussing important truths from the Bible. Their down-to-earth approach makes it easy to relate to their teachings and apply them to our daily lives. They also do an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand segments, making it accessible for all listeners.
Another great aspect of this podcast is its focus on the role of godly women. They emphasize that women are not meant to be doormats but should also not demean men or their roles. This balanced perspective is refreshing and empowering. Additionally, they provide practical advice and encouragement for women in their walk with the Lord, inspiring us to grow in our faith.
As for any potential drawbacks, one could argue that some episodes may feel repetitive if listened to consecutively. However, I believe this repetition serves as a valuable reminder and reinforcement of important truths from Scripture. Furthermore, while the episodes are generally well-paced at 20 minutes each, some listeners may prefer longer discussions or more in-depth teachings.
In conclusion, The No Trash, Just Truth! podcast is truly a gem among Christian podcasts. Rose Spiller and Chris Paxson have created a platform where Biblical truths are shared faithfully and authentically. Their dedication to teaching sound doctrine is evident throughout each episode. If you're looking for a podcast that will challenge and inspire you in your walk with the Lord, this is definitely one to tune into. May God continue to bless these women of God as they faithfully serve their calling.
Send us a textHave you ever done something pretty terrific and someone else gets the credit for it? It can frustrate us, and even sometimes make us mad. But Joseph Scriven reacted neither way, even when his beautiful hymn, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," was credited to someone else. Scriven was a completely selfless and loving man, who happily sacrificed all he had to further the Kingdom of God. His story is one of tragedy and sadness, but ultimately a story of triumph as God used Joseph Scriven in mighty ways!Introduction Song - To God Be the Glory performed by Julia Gavin Holmes with permissionWhat a Friend We Have in Jesus - The Worship Zone - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9Yx06camvUThanks for tuning in! Send us a textAs a rule, with age comes wisdom, but we need to be willing to recognize that wisdom is not just limited to the older. Sometimes, profound wisdom can come from the young. Such is the case with the two writers we delve into in this episode Augustus Montague Toplady, who wrote , Rock of Ages when he was only 21; and William Ralph Featherstone who wrote “If Ever I Loved Thee, My Jesus Tis Now,” at only 16. Send us a textIn this episode, we look at three classic hymns with a military theme. Because of this, it has caused many "anti-war" liberals to protest against them, and even completely exclude them as hymns of worship. But those who do this, not only show they misunderstand the real meaning of these timeless treasures; they also show their ignorance of Scripture, because God clearly tells us from Genesis to Revelation that we are constantly in a war against evil and sin. Send us a textMany authors of beloved and beautiful hymns did not always have an easy life, nor did they always have a happy ending to their life here on earth. Famed hymn writer, Phillip P. Bliss was no exception. After struggling for years, Bliss finally seemed to have it all - a wife he adored, two healthy sons, notoriety as a singer, musician, and song writer, and a life dedicated to mission and evangelizing for God. But Bliss' bliss didn't last long, before tragedy struck. Send us a textWe wrap up our "Faith in Action" series with Paul's final words in 2Corinthians. After he finishes what he has to say, he gives a benediction to the people. There are lots of questions surrounding the meaning and purpose of the benediction, including what are they? What is their meaning in Scripture? Today, why do we include it in our worship services? Is it just a nice way to wrap up the worship service, or is it something more? What does it mean to ‘receive' the benediction? Is it a prayer? A proclamation? Or both? Thanks for tuning in! King Henry VIII, a staunch Catholic, was refused an annulment by the Pope for his first marriage. With the Reformation under way, King Henry broke from the Catholic church, established the Church of England, made himself head of it, and granted his own annulment. Send us a textIt's often said, there are no perfect churches, and if you find one, don't join, or you'll just ruin it. That the church has been "imperfect," has been true since it's inception. When we look back at church history, we see a group of leaders, sometimes getting it right, but sometimes getting it horribly wrong. Send us a textIn the military, men and women from very different backgrounds, education levels, family dynamics, and cultures have to merge to be one unit - when it comes to their mission, they essentially have to be same person. Paul and Peter were also very different people. Their educations were different, their vocations were different, their family situations were different, and their personalities were different. So how did these vastly different men morph almost into the same person when it came to their Biblical message? It was only after Jesus got a hold of them and the Holy Spirit indwelt in them, that even though their differences were still present, their theologies completely mirrored each other. Send us a Text Message.Over 1150 verses in the Bible mention music, singing, and / or instruments. The reason it's mentioned so often and is such an integral part of worship is that often music can convey what the spoken word alone can't. From uplifting, peppy music to soft, emotional ballads, music helps us express our joy, sadness, happiness, pain, and most importantly our gratitude and love for God. Today's contemporary Christian music industry is a multi billion dollar business. And while we may assume that all those who are involved in Christian Music from the musicians and singers to the writers and producers are Christian and their only goal is to worship and glorify God, that is not the case at all. Join us as we go inside contemporary Christian music and look at artists who clearly say they aren't Christians, to those who come out of heretical churches, to those who have compromised Truth for fame and sales, to those who are solidly grounded in the Word of God.Thanks for tuning in! Send us a Text Message. In this episode, we take a look at things that look different in the Old Testament and New Testament, and that have sparked some church wars! Many Christians believe that because God's people were commanded in the Old Testament about what meat they were allowed to eat, making sure they were keeping the Sabbath, and exactly which festivals they were told to celebrate, that we, as New Testament Christians should do the same. Since the New Testament doesn't contradict the Old Testament, this seems reasonable, but is it? What did Jesus say about all three of these things and why do they cause conflict within the church? Thanks for tuning in!
