Hosted by Whitney, the show features interviews with real people who share their extraordinary money stories and offer practical financial advice. This podcast has personally helped me improve my financial game and I highly recommend it.
One of the best aspects of The Money Nerds podcast is Whitney's ability to bring on a diverse range of guests and cover a wide variety of topics related to personal finance. From investing and money-saving tips to budgeting and financial mindset, each episode offers valuable insights and actionable steps that listeners can take to improve their own financial situations. I particularly enjoy how Whitney approaches heavy topics such as debt in a light-hearted and relatable manner, making it easier for listeners to engage with the content.
There aren't many negative aspects to this podcast, but one minor drawback is that some episodes may not resonate with every listener. Personal finance is a broad topic and while Whitney does a great job of covering various aspects, there may be certain episodes that don't directly apply to everyone's specific financial goals or circumstances. However, this is a minor issue considering the wealth of valuable information provided throughout the majority of episodes.
In conclusion, The Money Nerds podcast is an outstanding resource for anyone looking to gain practical financial advice and improve their overall financial well-being. Whitney's approachable hosting style combined with the diverse range of guests makes each episode enjoyable and insightful. Whether you're just starting your financial journey or looking to level up your knowledge, this podcast is definitely worth tuning into.

As the host of Oh My Dollar!, a weekly financial advice radio show and podcast, Lillian has built a reputation for talking money without being boring or stiff- covering the kinds of modern money issues that face millennials, such as retirement planning in the gig economy, choosing a budgeting app, parental leave in a feminist household, and how to pay back six figures of student loan debt. In her twenties she had 40 jobs, including dishwasher, stripper economist, social worker, tax preparer, organic farmer, bagel deliverer, zine librarian, database wizard, and bicycle valet. She has lived in a geodesic dome made of recycled political yard signs and ridden trains in 31 countries. She is pretty good at saving money. Her book, Get Your Money Together, is an illustrated workbook filled with cats explaining purrsonal finance- everything from budgeting to investing. And was 200% funded on Kickstarter. In this episode we talk about why she chose to use cats for explaining personal finance, how she has made giving and helping other's a foundation in her life, why private schools are sometimes more affordable than public schools, avoiding lifestyle inflation, how she has been able to save 50% of her income, why we all have budget constraints but don't always operate that way, advise for people leasing cars, and even saving money on groceries (especially if you are vegetarian).
