Oahu-based Amanda Fox, co-founder of the animal rights activist organization, Animal Rights Initiative, explains her approach to educating the public on animal exploitation and what you can do to help be the voice for the animals. Animal Rights Initiative is a group of activists urgently working on ending animal exploitation and suffering through the means of legislative work and street activism. Volunteers practice outreach to the public on the streets of Waikiki, educating them about living a vegan lifestyle, which means abstaining from all animal use, as far as practical and possible. These demonstrations range from free food samplings, hidden surveillance screenings to rallies at the capitol to pass laws that will protect animals. Animal Rights Initiative been active as a group since December 2017 in Seattle, Washington and are now hosting demonstrations in Washington, Hawaii and Texas. Amanda Fox is an embroiderer currently living in Wilmington, North Carolina.
