The Wicked Ones Podcast host, Jen, covers the heart breaking hazing death of Timothy Piazza. Tim was a sophomore at Penn State when he pledged Beta Theta Pi, a fraternity that was supposed to be alcohol free since its suspension in 2009. The pledges showed up for their initiation obstacle course called, “The Gauntlet.” Yes, it's as awful as it sounds and we're honestly not sure how anyone could survive.82 Minutes. 18 alcoholic drinks. Multiple Falls. Fractured Skull. Lacerated spleen. Internal bleeding.12 hours before a fraternity “brother” would call 911, still not revealing the truth behind Piazza's condition.Listen in this week as we bring awareness to end hazing and the abuse suffered by students as they search for belonging and acceptance among their peers.RIP Timothy Piazza
Rob Lawless had a simple goal. It was simply to meet 10,000 strangers. He believes that genuine human connection is something important in today's world and it's also something that makes him happy. This journey is his way of leading by example. If anything, his hope is to encourage others to take the initiative to reach out to someone new and be open to establishing new relationships, which I believe is a very important lesson in the world of fraternity and sorority recruitment. In episode #162 of the Fraternity Foodie Podcast, we learn why Rob chose Penn State University, what the guys were like at Beta Theta Pi, how he powered through cold emailing prospects, how Robs 10K Friends started out, how he managed to get interviews with Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Clarkson, and the Today Show, how companies have sponsored him in the past, how the project changed during the pandemic, what lessons fraternity and sorority members can learn from this project, the most memorable meeting he had, and his choice for the best Philly Cheesesteak in Philadelphia. Enjoy!

Happy day creeps. This week we have two stellar stories – the first is a sad tale from a cesspit fraternity in the U.S OF A. It's a tragic story about idiotic men. Jen delivers a vintage glow up with terribly sad consequences and Sophie display unnerving levels of knowledge about serial killers. #CreepAtHome

In this clip, Aaron discusses the recent ruling by the Centre Country PA court. The ruling dismissing all the most serious charges against the fraternity members, leaving only the misdemeanor charges. Tim Pizza was a freshman at Penn State University in the process of pledging the fraternity Beta Theta Pi. On February 4th 2017, he tragically passed away after a night of hazing that resulted in Timothy drinking incredible amounts of liquor, falling down a set of stairs, and being left unattended for 12 hours with life threatening injuries. By the time medical professionals were called, it was too late. After Tim passed away, 18 of his fraternity brothers were charged with various crimes, including manslaughter. This past week, a judge dismissed the manslaughter charges against 8 of the men charged, leaving the alcohol violations, hazing, and reckless endangerment charges against 12 of the brothers. On a tragic and sobering edition of After Hours AM/The Criminal Code — with hosts Joel Sturgis, Eric Olsen, and secret weapon, forensic psychologist Dr. Clarissa Cole — we peer into the shocking February death of Penn State fraternity pledge Tim Piazza after an alcohol-saturated hazing ritual that has resulted in criminal charges against 18 Beta Theta Pi fraternity members. We talk with journalist Charlie Thompson, who is covering the case for the Patriot-News and PennLive, and author/social critic Caitlin Flanagan, whose article “The Dark Power of Fraternities” in The Atlantic is a classic in the field. Caitlin and Charlie will join us in hour 2; Hour 1, Clarissa will lead us through the week’s most notable True Crime news. Caitlin Flanagan Caitlin Flanagan’s 2014 article for THE ATLANTIC, “The Dark Power of Fraternities” is a scabrous and at times hilarious look into the dangers and allure of fraternity life, the contradictions of freedom and conformity, and their seemingly intractable role in American college life. By the way, hazing isn’t close to being the most dangerous frat activity. Flanagan began her magazine-writing career, in 2001 with a series of extended book reviews about the conflicts at the heart of modern domestic life as it is lived by professional-class women. Flanagan quickly established herself as a highly entertaining social critic unafraid to take on self-indulgence and political correctness, and her reviews provide penetrating and witheringly funny observations about the sexes and their discontents. Her ATLANTIC articles have been named as finalists for the National Magazine Award five times, and her essay “Confessions of a Prep School College Counselor” was included in the 2002 compilation of Best American Magazine Writing. Her work has also been included in Best American Essays 2003 and Best American Magazine Writing 2003. She is th

Tyler and Matt begin the Health Humor Life paranormal activity series by discussing the events that lead from them growing up in a strict catholic religion to eventually opening their minds as they had many spiritual, paranormal, ghost, and psychic medium experiences. Matt states that it is perfectly ok if you do not believe in ghosts as you will still find these stories intriguing. Tyler opens up about beginning his journey as a Clairvoyant and how he first experienced being able to sense and predict significant events in his life. He discusses the major car accident where he was almost killed and his intuition that spoke to him before it happened. Matt discusses some of the intuitive and empathic experiences he has had and how his intuition warned him about a particular family member being mentally in danger. Matt also describes the time he experiences feeling one of his client’s emotions following an intense reiki session. (One of many) They discuss the paranormal experiences they have had while visiting a psychic medium and briefly discuss some of the information the psychic gave them which was later confirmed true. Tyler describes how the psychic medium assured him of his ability as a clairvoyant, but that he would have a lot to learn. Tyler describes how its not always a gift or easy to have abilities like this as it is often hard to seclude himself from being bothered by spiritual entities that may be trying to get through to him. Matt describes how Tyler and him are not special with these abilities and that intuitive, clairvoyant, and psychic abilities are within all of us. They just need to be awakened. He describes how many people have had these experiences but pass them off as normal or imagination. Matt ends with a story regarding paranormal activity at his college frat house where he tells the story of a legendary house mother from the 1800s and her protective nature over the brotherhood. He tells of the house mother trying to protect him from an ex girlfriend who experienced “the ghost of Evelyn” in the Beta Theta Pi house of Orono, Maine. He also describes another story of a brother’s experience with a “smiling ghost”. The paranormal activity podcast ends as the pair describe a non-paranormal subject of the foreign lady from dell assisting to systematically fix Matt’s computer, and then ruin it further. Matt tells the viewers to get a free ebook on healthhumnorlife.com on relieving anxiety, depression, and many other ailments as well as a nutrition book and video course. Paranormal activity part two continues in february as the two discuss “The Haunted Condo Of Old Orchard Beach, Maine.”
