Dr. Jeffrey Gold, President of the University of Nebraska system, testified recently before the House Committee on Veteran Affairs Health Subcommittee on plans to replace a 1950 VA hospital with a hospital on the university grounds, with projected savings of half a billion dollars. Since the Trump administration began two months ago, it has been “a day-by-day, week-by-week course adjustment,” featuring ongoing court deliberations, cuts to programs, and the rollout of tariffs, amid great uncertainty. Anxiety has risen due to the unusual speed of change, which has permitted little time to prepare. In the meantime, the decline in the price of corn and soy jeopardizes the economy. The university system and hospitals account for 8.5-9% of the state's GDP, the highest level per capita in the country. They also depend on $700 million of extramurally funded research. For the past nine years, Dr. Gold has led the highly successful weekly cable broadcast, ‘Rural Health Matters' on Monday nights on RFD TV. Its mandate is to create awareness among farmers and ranchers, reaching over 15 million households, of the most impactful health matters.

How often should Agile teams reflect and adjust? Is your team on a road with switchbacks but they are not turning the wheel? In this episode of The Mob Mentality Show, we take a deep dive into Agile Principle #12, which states: "At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly." From a Mob Programming perspective, we explore what "tuning and adjusting" really looks like in high-uncertainty, high-interdependence work. Is it like steering a car, constantly making small adjustments, or is it something that requires far less steering? How do different approaches—Waterfall, 2 Week Scrum, and Mob Programming—each handle batch size and feedback loops with continuous improvement? In This Episode, We Discuss: ✅ Agile Principle #12—How it drives continuous improvement in teams ✅ "Regular Intervals"—Comparing Waterfall, 2-week Scrum sprints, and healthy mobbing ✅ Batch Size & Effectiveness—How small adjustments impact team agility ✅ Single vs. Double Loop Learning—Which leads to deeper team growth? ✅ Diversity & Focus—Does learning together accelerate improvement more than learning separately? ✅ The Cynefin Model—Navigating uncertainty and complexity in Agile work ✅ Liminal Thinking—How belief structures and assumptions impact team reflection Many teams go through the motions of retrospectives, but are they truly adjusting their behavior effectively? Join us for this insightful discussion where we challenge assumptions, explore deeper learning, and uncover the best ways to reflect, adapt, and improve as a team.

We're reminded of the importance of the heart during various times of the year, spring romances, august-Leo passion, warm fires, and gatherings in the fall and winter. We are reminded of our hearts. We are pushed to open and acknowledge our hearts throughout the year. Our compass needs to change with the changes in our lives and environment. Sometimes, our North- changes, which would make sense as our direction changes. Sometimes, that north change and redirection is from a life event, a career change, an addition to the family, or a death. Our mental processes can shift our hearts. Learning or discovering things about ourselves or others will change our mental filter and create a heart change. Everything is connected. When we open our hearts, we expect this magic pixie dust to come sprinkling upon us, and all will be right in the world. For LOVE solves ALL problems, right?Humanity is going through vast adjustments of the heart right now. Maintaining a foundation of love, not getting distracted, and maintaining optimism for the future is hard. The universe shows us where our compass is off, what direction we need to correct, and if we are brave enough to make those adjustments. Change our mental processes and beliefs to align with what is right for humanity. The healing of our wounds is getting confused with reinforcement of those wounds rather than change and acting with love, not fear, control, or revenge. Geoff Mosher previews Super Bowl LIX, giving his matchup breakdowns in the final NFL weekly preview episode of the season.
"Adjustment is, rather, an insiduous force that has played, and plays now, a significant role in the affairs of men and their civilizations. Careless allegiance to it has had drastic consequences." -Rober Linder (1952)Another fascinating share from psychoanalyst Robert M. Linder as he explains the human psychology of expanding out towards the frontiers and edges and how the reverse patterns decay and destroy through societal decline. This is a different way to explain the "Cycles of Civilization" that are so well documented throughout time...all societies follow these predictable patterns, so if you want to know where America is going--here you go. If you don't like it, change course.Source: "Prescription for Rebellion" by Robert M. Linder (1952).
In the latest "Ask Greg Cosell," for Patreon Tier 3/Bomb Post Touchdown members, Greg answers questions about how the Eagles and Chiefs match up in Super Bowl LIX and the cat-and-mouse game between coaches. To see the entire show, head to the Inside The Birds Patreon page and become a member and ask Greg your questions!!:https://www.patreon.com/posts/ask-greg-cosell-121456124?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copyLink&utm_campaign=postshare_creator&utm_content=join_link
We used to fight over a degree, and now some bikes can offer a degree in either direction with a headset, 10mm on the chainstay, progression adjustment, and smaller geometry tweaks—all from the stock platform. But does this help or hinder the consumer's riding experience? Dario, Daz, and Denry show us their current favorite parts of biking and discuss whether a bike can ever be too adjustable.
In this episode of the Optimal Body Podcast, hosts Doc Jen and Doctor Dom, both doctors of physical therapy, explore the phenomenon of joint adjustments, often associated with the sounds of "snap, crackle, and pop." They explain the science behind these sounds, emphasizing that they result from pressure changes and gas release in the joints, not bones being realigned. The hosts stress that while these adjustments can provide temporary relief, long-term pain management requires understanding the body's mechanics, incorporating stability and strength training, and adopting self-care strategies. They encourage listeners to seek education and empowerment for lasting health improvements. Needed Discount: Although the journey of pregnancy is so personal and individual, Jen's number one question goes back to what she did to help her conceive and maintain the pregnancy. While there were a myriad of factors that contributed, she reliably counted on Needed supplements that supported her journey! Men need support as well via sperm support and men's multivitamins. While women are supported by egg quality supplementation, CoQ10, prenatal Omega 3, iron, and choline in tablet or powder form. In 1819, John Keats quit his job as an assistant surgeon, abandoned an epic poem he was writing, and focused his poetic energies on shorter works. What followed was one of the most fertile periods in the history of poetry, as in a few months' time Keats completed six masterpieces, including such celebrated classics as "To Autumn," "Ode to a Nightingale," and "Ode on a Grecian Urn." Now, two hundred years later, an American scholar has written an exciting new book called Keats's Odes: A Lover's Discourse, in which she gathers and revisits the Great Odes, viewing them through a personal prism. Anahid Nersessian was born and grew up in New York City. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and has taught at Columbia University and UCLA. Her first book, Utopia, Limited: Romanticism and Adjustment was published by Harvard University Press in 2015, and her second book, The Calamity Form: On Poetry and Social Life, by the University of Chicago in 2020. She lives in Los Angeles, CA.
