How often should Agile teams reflect and adjust? Is your team on a road with switchbacks but they are not turning the wheel? In this episode of The Mob Mentality Show, we take a deep dive into Agile Principle #12, which states: "At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly." From a Mob Programming perspective, we explore what "tuning and adjusting" really looks like in high-uncertainty, high-interdependence work. Is it like steering a car, constantly making small adjustments, or is it something that requires far less steering? How do different approaches—Waterfall, 2 Week Scrum, and Mob Programming—each handle batch size and feedback loops with continuous improvement? In This Episode, We Discuss: ✅ Agile Principle #12—How it drives continuous improvement in teams ✅ "Regular Intervals"—Comparing Waterfall, 2-week Scrum sprints, and healthy mobbing ✅ Batch Size & Effectiveness—How small adjustments impact team agility ✅ Single vs. Double Loop Learning—Which leads to deeper team growth? ✅ Diversity & Focus—Does learning together accelerate improvement more than learning separately? ✅ The Cynefin Model—Navigating uncertainty and complexity in Agile work ✅ Liminal Thinking—How belief structures and assumptions impact team reflection Many teams go through the motions of retrospectives, but are they truly adjusting their behavior effectively? Join us for this insightful discussion where we challenge assumptions, explore deeper learning, and uncover the best ways to reflect, adapt, and improve as a team.

We're reminded of the importance of the heart during various times of the year, spring romances, august-Leo passion, warm fires, and gatherings in the fall and winter. We are reminded of our hearts. We are pushed to open and acknowledge our hearts throughout the year. Our compass needs to change with the changes in our lives and environment. Sometimes, our North- changes, which would make sense as our direction changes. Sometimes, that north change and redirection is from a life event, a career change, an addition to the family, or a death. Our mental processes can shift our hearts. Learning or discovering things about ourselves or others will change our mental filter and create a heart change. Everything is connected. When we open our hearts, we expect this magic pixie dust to come sprinkling upon us, and all will be right in the world. For LOVE solves ALL problems, right?Humanity is going through vast adjustments of the heart right now. Maintaining a foundation of love, not getting distracted, and maintaining optimism for the future is hard. The universe shows us where our compass is off, what direction we need to correct, and if we are brave enough to make those adjustments. Change our mental processes and beliefs to align with what is right for humanity. The healing of our wounds is getting confused with reinforcement of those wounds rather than change and acting with love, not fear, control, or revenge. So where does Chiropractic care fit in the opioid epidemic? How does Chiropractic help manage pain?
"Mommy! Mommy! Ethan said my name!"Isaac was blown away that his little brother actually said his name. For months now, Ethan would call both of his older brothers, Isaiah. Ethan adores his big brothers and because of that, there are two words he can say the clearest; "Isaiah" and the word "no." The word "no" is usually directed toward Ellen and I, which is often accompanied with aggressive hand-waving and head-shaking. For example, "Ethan, eat your food"="NO!" or "Ethan, don't climb on the table"= "NO!" or "Ethan, it's time for a nap"= "NO!"Now, Ethan has a new favorite word, "Isaac." Isaac smiles every time he hears his name. Our own name is the most important sound in the human language. It is directly linked to our identity and who we are. For example, what's the question you ask when a pregnant woman reveals the gender of her unborn child? "What is your baby's name?" You had a name before you were even born.In our fast-paced, high-stress, and over-stimulated society we often struggle remembering people's names. This is not due to a lack of care but potentially due to a lack of presence in the moment of introduction. Our minds wander off more often than we would like, even during important events in our lives. My encouragement is to remember and use people's names and watch the joy rise in that person. You had a name and you were loved before you were even born. TWC Out rowAre you or a love one seeking to improve overall health naturally and to decrease pain? Evan Marshall Mosier is finally here. He is alive and well! However, a few months ago, we didn't think that was the case. While camping on Memorial Day weekend, Ellen thought she was undergoing a miscarriage because of an abnormal amount of blood she was experiencing. We have never been through anything like that before and it was beginning to break our hearts. Despite the abnormal amount of blood, Ellen continued to feel morning sickness as if her pregnancy was still occurring. Her hormones hadn't returned back to "normal", non-pregnant, levels. This was a constant reminder of what she had lost. We made contact with the doctor's office about our sudden loss and with a call back, they asked for her to come into the office to have an ultrasound with a possible D&C. As we arrived to the doctor's office and entered the waiting room, there was a weird feeling as we were surrounded by happy, pregnant couples. Another reminder of our loss.Sometimes in our darkest moments, God shows up and shows off. Our ultrasound tech was unaware of our situation. All of a sudden, the tech casually says, "There's your baby with a heart rate of 154 BPM" as she's staring as the ultrasound monitor. Let's just say we were shocked. Fast forward to today, Evan is well-loved and wants constant cuddles from his big brothers who, of course, fight each other for the opportunity. We had 2 fears going into this 4th child of ours. First being a lack of time or presence from Ellen and I for each boy. We don't want them to grow up fighting for their individual attention with us. The second fear was, do I have enough love in the tank for a 4th boy? The other 3 have it all! However, what I quickly discovered while holding Evan for the first time, is that love is a limitless resource.TWC Out rowAre you or a love one seeking to improve overall health naturally and to decrease pain? In this episode of the Optimal Body Podcast, hosts Doc Jen and Doctor Dom, both doctors of physical therapy, explore the phenomenon of joint adjustments, often associated with the sounds of "snap, crackle, and pop." They explain the science behind these sounds, emphasizing that they result from pressure changes and gas release in the joints, not bones being realigned. The hosts stress that while these adjustments can provide temporary relief, long-term pain management requires understanding the body's mechanics, incorporating stability and strength training, and adopting self-care strategies. They encourage listeners to seek education and empowerment for lasting health improvements. In 1819, John Keats quit his job as an assistant surgeon, abandoned an epic poem he was writing, and focused his poetic energies on shorter works. What followed was one of the most fertile periods in the history of poetry, as in a few months' time Keats completed six masterpieces, including such celebrated classics as "To Autumn," "Ode to a Nightingale," and "Ode on a Grecian Urn." Now, two hundred years later, an American scholar has written an exciting new book called Keats's Odes: A Lover's Discourse, in which she gathers and revisits the Great Odes, viewing them through a personal prism. Anahid Nersessian was born and grew up in New York City. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, and has taught at Columbia University and UCLA. Her first book, Utopia, Limited: Romanticism and Adjustment was published by Harvard University Press in 2015, and her second book, The Calamity Form: On Poetry and Social Life, by the University of Chicago in 2020. She lives in Los Angeles, CA.
