David Leis speaks live with Talk Nation Radio cofounders Rodney Palmer and Randy Taylor. Rodney Palmer and Randy Taylor launched Talk Nation Radio to recapture the essence of journalism and truth in Canada. They felt that mainstream journalism had abandoned its critical role, becoming more propagandistic rather than investigative and unbiased. Their goal is to provide a platform where both sides of the story are told, allowing listeners to form their own opinions based on truthful reporting. Their new show launched July 1st and the guys will chat about how launch day went, what their aim for the show is and where you can watch or listen.
John Robson, columnist with the National Post, Epoch Times and Loonie Politics discusses a variety of topics and issues facing Canada. Host David Leis and John will talk about the recent Toronto by-election, aboriginal land acknowledgements, the Middle East and our universities. Where do we go from here?
Preston Manning, former Canadian politician, joins David Leis live to discuss what a new government in Ottawa would look like. As Canadians we elect the people in government but what about all the unelected public officials who remain behind the scenes? What impact do they have on a new government? How do we get democratic control of the state so it serves Canadians not itself?
What is Canada's national interest in 2024? In 1967, Canada proudly celebrated its centennial anniversary. Canada stood as a strong and unified democracy respected internationally. Fifty years later, Canada is divided, ashamed of its history, has shattered its democratic institutions, our allies ignore us and we have a broken economy. How has Canada come to this point? What can we as citizens do about this concerning state of affairs?

In Episode 8 of Paw & Order, hosts Peter Sankoff and Camille Labchuk revisit the Australia live export scandal. After a whistleblower exposed immense suffering and abuse endured by sheep shipped to the Middle East, change may finally be coming to a brutal industry. But what about Canada? Live export happens here at home, too, and it's bad news for animals. Thousands of horses are shipped by air every year to Japan, where they are slaughtered for meat.
