In this special edition of the Appraisal Buzzcast, our host Hal Humphreys traveled all the way to the United Kingdom to visit with Chris Thorne, who's kind of an icon in valuation circles across the pond. He's been in the appraisal business for more than five decades. He started out in the 1970s with a small Bristol practice that covered England and Wales, then worked at several large firms after that. In 2010, he began a five-year stint as technical director of the International Valuation Standards Council, which is basically an international version of USPAP. Chris is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, which has been around since 1868.
