The show opens with nothing other than the Florida Panthers dominating the Carolina Hurricanes 5-0 last night, the guys do a react of the game! Tobin goes off about Aho's dirty hit to take Reinhart out of the game. The guys have fun at the expense of the Hurricanes, crowd shots and salty calls. Was Frog boy right when he said this Panthers team is more dominant than the Big 3?
The crew kicks things off reacting to the Florida Panthers' dominant 5-0 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, with Tobin going off on Aho's dirty hit that took Reinhart out of the game. They have some fun at the expense of the Hurricanes, making jokes about salty calls and crowd shots. The crew debates if this Panthers team is more dominant than the Big 3, as Frog Boy once claimed. In Hour 2, they dive back into more Cats talk, with Leroy hilariously breaking a big spoon and trying to cover it up. They also discuss Bam Adebayo missing the All-NBA Defensive Team—was it due to his performance or the Heat's struggles? The discussion shifts to Lebron James possibly returning to the Heat as speculation grows about his frustration with the Lakers. In the final hour, the crew looks ahead to Game 3, with Leroy trying to figure out his pregame routine and disrespecting tequila in the process. The crew ponders where polar bears sleep and ends the show with Dead To Me, Knicks fans, and some F1 chatter.

CareQuest Institute for Oral Health is a national nonprofit dedicated to creating an oral health care system that is accessible, equitable, and integrated. Learn more about how their advocacy, philanthropy, research, and education are creating a better oral health system at carequest.org/turnonthelights What if the path to better health and stronger communities doesn't start in hospitals, but in our relationships with each other? In this episode, Dr. Eric Reinhart, a political anthropologist, social psychiatrist, and psychoanalytic clinician based in Chicago, reflects on how his experiences in medicine, anthropology, and advocacy have shaped his urgent focus on public health reform, especially around mass incarceration and its devastating effects on communities. He argues that incarceration is not only a symptom but also a cause of widespread mental illness and social breakdown, emphasizing the need to democratize caregiving and public health beyond bureaucratic systems. Reinhart critiques the U.S. health care model for being overly medicalized and profit-driven, calling for a bottom-up approach that empowers communities to care for one another. He warns against relying on political self-correction, stressing that meaningful change requires validating public anger and offering materially supported, ethical alternatives rooted in relational care. Drawing from models like Paul Farmer's work and his own experiences in underserved communities, Reinhart envisions a public health system built on mutual aid, participation, and dignity. Tune in as Dr. Eric Reinhart challenges us to rethink public health by examining how systems of incarceration and inequality undermine care and what we can do to build something better! Vincent Reinhart, chief economist and macro strategist at BNY Investments, says that Monday's temporary halt to the tariff battle between the United States and China significantly reduces the potential for a recession, but it doesn't create the clarity that investors and business leaders are seeking. He believes the U.S. will continue to deliver solid results long-term, but warns that the road to those long-term gains is likely to be bumpy, and even notes that "for now, cash looks pretty attractive." Larry Tentarelli, editor at Blue Chip Daily Trend Report, says that the market's gains Monday continue a trend that has been building since the market bottomed after "Liberation Day." He says the recent moves have crossed trend lines and moved the Nasdaq out of bear-market territory and the recent gains have more room to run. Plus, Paula Fleming, chief spokesman for the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont, talks about avoiding summer scams around roofing, home construction and more.

Brian Johnson, the mind behind The Anatomy Hunter, is on a mission to reduce the number of wounded and lost deer, ensuring more ethical kills and meat for families. With a background in taxidermy and sculpture, he's spent decades studying animal anatomy, inventing better shot-placement techniques, and even helping develop Reinhart archery targets. His Perfect Kill Shot Documentation Project aims to catalog a thousand real-world shots, showing exactly how animals die based on shot placement. Through firsthand experience—including an elk hunt that sparked the idea—he's developing a new way to teach hunters, using real footage, scientific analysis, and interactive education to improve ethical shot placement. His passion isn't about trophies—it's about knowledge, respect, and ensuring every hunter understands the anatomy of their prey.
In this episode of Growing in the Green Industry, we welcome our guest Luke Reinhart, Director of Autonomous Mowing with Reinhart Landscaping and Snow. Luke shares his journey of working in the family business and discusses his development of autonomous mowing systems and his future plans beyond the family business. Luke talks about his passion for business analytics, his transition from a management major, and the challenges of applying new knowledge in a business setting. Luke also touches on the role of autonomous mowing technology, environmental benefits, and labor shortages. He also talks about the importance of innovation, long-term thinking, and fostering strong relationships in business. This episode is hosted by Brett Lemcke of R.M. Landscape and Skyler Westergard with LandCare.

A rerun of the Evergreen Episode 336 Advanced Stats Primer that dives into Advanced Stats and how we can apply them to Fantasy Hockey when vetting the sustainability of skater performances. There would be a few things I would like to add to this if I had the availability to re-record this all over again, namely that xG models take into account the angles of shots, how recent the last play was, and other nuanced pieces of data. I also think I said "Corsi" when I meant Fenwick at one point. Other than that, these methods still hold true today. Kind of fun to think back a couple years and see how the zeitgeist of the Fantasy Hockey Sphere had Reinhart penciled in for a wild negative regression, and he just keeps on going! I hope you were able to use this, even with the aged references and such, feel free to chirp me (TJ) in the discord specifically if you would like to dive into these stats any deeper or how they might apply to players in today's NHL season. My guest today worked for Club Med from 2016 to 2020. His first season was in Club Med Sandpiper in 2016 as Landsports Supervisor. During his tenure at Club Med, he also held Sports and Animation Manager and Assistant CDV positions. Before Club Med, he was a Division 1 Varsity Men's Tennis team player and Team Captain at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Management and International Business, and he has almost completed his Master's degree from Northwestern University. Please help me welcome, from Cincinnati now living in Chicago, Adam Reinhart! Adam worked in the resorts of Turks and Caicos, Punta Cana, and Marrakech and was supposed to go to the resort of Club Med Sanya in China, but he explained the somewhat complicated process to get a Chinese work visa. Adam shares with us what it was like arriving in Marrakesh in 2019 during Ramadan and discusses his six-month season there as an Entertainment Manager. Adam and I talked about whether working at Club Med helped him in his current job and if he still misses dress codes. Joe Reinhart is what I want to be when I grow up. He's like the cool kid from down street who got into skateboarding and punk rock before everyone and was always down to teach you how to Kickflip or play the bass solo from Maxwell Murder. He's just fucking cool, and he's got a long track record of playing in cool bands (Algernon Cadwallader, Hop Along, Dogs on Acid) and helping other cool bands (Joyce Manor, Dr. Dog, Charles Ellsworth) make rad records. This was a fun conversation to revisit, and really made me want to hang out with Joe agin. I hope you all enjoy it! If you'd like to support our show directly please head on over to our Patreon. It's another edition of The Podbag today on Talking Buffalo, the weekly episode where the audience controls the narrative as Patrick Moran responds to several questions and takes from audience, including shade deservedly thrown at the Buffalo Sabres organization as yet more key players on past teams that couldn't win with Buffalo go on to play key roles in helping another team win a Stanley Cup. Like it or not, the Sabres are among the worst organizations in all of major pro sports. Their record on the ice and decisions off the ice support the statement, which only strengthened on Monday night when the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup in game-seven, which of course saw Sam Reinhart score the series-winning goal. With that ,Reinhart joins Jack Eichel and Ryan O'Reilly are former core players that have went on to taste the pinnacle of hockey success----after leaving Buffalo, not to mention Kyle Okposo. Patrick has plenty to say about that and the now likely buyout of overpriced forward Jeff Skinner in the coming days. Another commenter takes the Sabres woes a step further, saying that they've been horribly run for literally most of their existence. Clearly being tied for the longest playoff drought in sports and seeing a slew of former Sabres go on to have success after leaving has fans at arguably their most frustrated. There's also submissions centered around the Buffalo Bills, including David Edwards seemingly being handed the starting left guard job and some concerns at safety. That plus a comment about this week's all-time sports media draft, Sara Holland's appearance on the show last week and much more. ♦♦♦♦♦ Follow Patrick Moran/Talking Buffalo Podcast Substack: Patrick Moran's Substack Twitter: @PatMoranTweets.
