Broadway star Christopher Sieber joins Joel Crump for another hilarious edition of Broadway Time at Carmine's! About Christopher: Christopher Sieber started performing shows in his parents' living room, where he was a triumph at age 7 in “The Christopher Comedy Cavalcade of 1976,” seen by both his parents and unsuspecting neighbors driving by. He has starred in Company, The Prom, Matilda, Pippin, La Cage aux Folles, Shrek (Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics noms), Monty Python's Spamalot (Tony nom and West End Production), Chicago, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Into the Woods, Beauty and the Beast, and Triumph of Love. Television: “Blue Bloods,” “Law and Order: SVU,” “The Good Wife,” “The Good Fight,” “Elementary,” “Ed,” “Sex and the City,” “Pushing Daisies,” “It's All Relative,” “Two of a Kind,” and lots of daytime TV, like “Guiding Light,” “All My Children,” and “Another World,” where his many recurring characters never went anywhere…. "Broadway Time at Carmine's" features Broadway stars over lunch in engaging conversations at the iconic Carmine's Times Square eatery. For more, visit www.BWayTime.com, and follow:

This one is a heart-breaker, friends. A real, honest to Sondheim heart-breaker. Like Avenue Q beating Wicked heart-breaker because, unless without a deus ex machina at Paramount Studios, we will never, ever see a musical that everyone says was one of the greatest musicals of the 1990s. Starring Christine Ebersole, Gregory Harrison, and......wait, why should I tell you when book writer Martin Casella and ensemble members John Bolton and Christopher Sieber can as they back on 1993's Paper Moon. Jershua Cavazos is a musical theatre actor. She made her Broadway debut in The Prom back in 2018. In this show, she was in the ensemble. Cavazos got to share the stage with pure musical theatre legends such as Beth Leavel, Brooks Ashmanskas, Christopher Sieber, and Angle Schworer just to name a few of her fellow cast members. The show sadly closed less than a year into it's run in 2019. Post pandemic, Cavazos was starred in the Off Broadway musical, Between the Lines. (with Arielle Jacobs from Season 2). This show was also a huge success during the course of its run in New York City. In addition to her work in musical theatre, Cavazos also has music of her own in which she has released and can be streamed wherever you listen to your music. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jayme-starr/support

On September 25th, 1998, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen returned to the small screen on ABC's coveted TGIF lineup with their brand new sitcom, Two of a Kind. And it was a big f*cking deal. Not only was this the first time Mary-Kate and Ashley would be starring in a sitcom as two different characters, this was also their first TV appearance since the cancellation Full House, and their debut to mainstream audiences as full-fledged preteen girls. So in today's episode, we give this premiere episode the full attention that this momentous occasion deserves. We gush over their uber-talented costars Christopher Sieber and Sally Wheeler, puzzle over the name "Pokey Valentine," and reflect on what this TV show meant to us when it aired. Also, we remind ourselves that generally speaking, pilots aren't great. So we lovingly critique the episode's plot holes and character flaws, while understanding that the show as a whole was so much more than the pilot episode would lead audiences to believe. So put on your pedal pushers and chunky sandals, flip your baseball cap backwards, and get ready to revisit the magic that was Mary-Kate and Ashley's Two of a Kind.Watch the Two of a Kind pilot "Putting Two 'n Two Together" here.Find all the episodes of Two of a Kind in @SimplyOlsen's instagram bio!Find us on Instagram!Show: @theythoughtiwasyouBecca: @beccarothLani: @laniharmsThoughts/questions? Dennis connects via Zoom with author Eddie Shapiro to discuss his book A Wonderful Guy: Conversations with the Great Men of Musical Theater and the actors featured in it including Raul Esparza, Michael Cerveris, Joel Grey, Ben Vereen, Cheyenne Jackson, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christopher Sieber, Jonathan Groff, Gavin Creel and many more. Eddie talks about why he thinks the world of musical theater seems to favor female performers over men and how the men he interviewed reconcile that. Eddie also talks about the passing of Stephen Sondheim, how Sondheim personally mentored the men in the book and Eddie's own memorable interactions with the composer. Other topics include: being openly gay as a Broadway leading man, how much stars make on Broadway, Playbill hoarding, sassing back to Elaine Stritch, the stage door encounter he'll never forget, crying during the diner scene in tick...tick...BOOM... and, of course, the length of Cheyenne Jackson's shorts in Xanadu.
2x Tony Nominee and 14x Broadway Vet, Christopher Sieber shares legendary stories of his past. From creating a live version of Lord Farquaad to audition moments to Sondheim being unsure if the 2021 revival of Company would work. As a young child, Christopher Sieber would create and perform his own shows in front of a window in his living room. The grass and unsuspecting passerby was his audience. Fast forward several yeras and he’s taken the plunge, moving to New York City. He eventually lands his Broadway debut in 2004 staring as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast. He then joins other iconic casts, such as Chicago, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Into the Woods before his legendary stint as Sir Dennis Galahad in Monty Python’s Spamalot (a role which he had 4 days’ notice to prepare for!). After roles in Shrek The Musical, La Cage aux Folles, Matilda the Musical, and Pippin, he now finds himself as the arrogant, self-centered character of Trent Oliver in The Prom, which has been nominated for 7 2019 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Far from the string of arrogant characters, his real-life personality is humble, kind, and loving. Listen in to hear more. Interview content begins at 2:31. Closing standards begin at 52:25. Caitlin Kinnunen, the lead actress in the current hit musical “The Prom” on Broadway talks with Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson host of OUTTAKE VOICES™. “The Prom” is about Emma (Kinnunen) a small-town girl who just wants to bring her girlfriend to the prom. When she makes national headlines news because the PTA cancels the event rather than allow this to happen four Broadway stars whose theatrical production closed on opening night decide that this could be the break they need to get a little publicity for themselves so they decide to go to the small town in Indiana to save the day. “The Prom” was written by Chad Beguelin and Bob Martin with a score by Beguelin and Matthew Sklar and features Tony winner Beth Leavel, Brooks Ashmanskas, Christopher Sieber and Angie Schworer. You may remember that Caitlin made LGBTQ history last November when she performed a scene from “The Prom” at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and she kissed her co-star during the live performance. As a fierce ally we asked Caitlin about how she got involved in this groundbreaking role and her spin on our LGBTQ issues. When asked what she hopes to accomplish with her work Kinnunen stated, “I feel very lucky and fortunate that I’ve been part of pieces that really have a voice. I’ve gotten to do shows like “Spring Awakening” and “Next To Normal” and now this show “The Prom” and I’m really happy with that and I love being able to do theatre pieces that say something. I love being able to use my voice to open up conversations and really talk to people about their experiences. So I hope to continue to do work like that whether it is films, TV, plays, musicals, what have you. I think acting is such a great vehicle and conversation starter that people can see things that they normally wouldn’t see and can put up discussions that you normally wouldn’t have. I just hope to continue to do that.” Caitlin Kinnunen was born and raised in Washington State. She moved to New York when she was 16 to make her Broadway debut in “Spring Awakening”. She later appeared on Broadway in “The Bridges of Madison County” and on the first national tour of “Next to Normal”. Kinnunen has also appeared in numerous film and television projects including “The Intern”, “It's Kind of a Funny Story”, “Sweet Little Lies”, “Younger”, “American Vandal”, “The Knic” and Law & Order: SVU.
