The Wyness Shuffle is back! Andrew Moffat, Sandy Sutherland, Andrew Young and Lee Tarling are joined by guest panellist, the SPFL's number one emergency assistant referee Jamie MacKinnon for a mammoth pod of ICTFC stuff. On this pod: We talk about all the football: all the draws, and a lesser spotted win, an update from the Supporter's Trust, league lookahead, famous interruptions, team selection, tactics, opportunities for young players, plus finances and the dreaded ‘A-word.' And above all we have an exclusive two-part interview with the man, the myth, the legend Alan Savage. 02:10 Headlines: Since last we did a podcast a lot has happened in the world. We talk about the big headlines: Trump, Oasis tickets, sausages and strictly. 05:20 Game by Game: Stenny and Cove: The boos rang out after the home draw with Stenny. We talk about what was one of the poorest showings this season, Lee tells us why he's had enough, before we move on to Cove and a slightly better performance the week previous but the same result.    24:00 The Emergency Linesman/Assistant Referee: We are joined by the brilliant Jamie MacKinnon, who answered the call in the recent Cove home game and ended up running the line for 30 minutes! He gives us the lowdown on his experience. 33:43 Game by Game: Alloa, Stirling, and Queen of the South: A couple of wins in here but it feels like long ago. Alloa wasn't too bad but we discuss how the points were thrown away. 40:38 Talk to Me: The Consultant Part 1: Savage in name but pragmatic in nature, Chairman of Inverness-based engineering recruitment business, Orion Group, former Chairman of ICTFC and now The Consultant talks about Investment, legal issues, crowds, the fan experience, land, and the council. 01:14:35 The Disruptors: The Cove game was interrupted by an injured ref, which put Jamie in an entirely unexpected position, but what other interruptions have there been in the beautiful game over the years or where have people popped up unexpectedly? Richie hart's dog, Yogi Hughes naked, Darren Jackson, big holes, locusts, Tory politicians, Alsatians, injured pigeons, dead racoons, Gerard Butler, Nacho Novo, Rottweiler care, Henri Anier's chat up lines, a big bag of condoms, and Jamie's Uncle. 01:24:00 The Supporter's Trust: The Supporter's Trust have had a long summer, having been heavily involved one way or another in the changes at the club, they've gained record membership numbers, been more public facing than any ICT fan group has ever been and are now running the bar at the ground. We caught up with Trust Vice-Chair Laura Grant. 01:47:17 Talk 2 Me: The Consultant Part 2: In this part Alan focuses on the Youth Academy, the return of old players, going to war, the club's debt, his expectations on the football front, and ‘a reset.' We then go off on a tangent and moan about the manager. 02:17.00 THE A-WORD: We discuss Alan Savage's recommendations to the board and take a very prophetic guess as to what they may be: administration, and what that might mean. What does ‘a reset' mean in reality? Could we claw back a 15-point deduction?  We thought ‘something big is on the table' and it looks like we were right. 02:23:18 Game by Game: We discuss who has the heating on before looking forward to Arbroath, Livingston, Annan, and Dumbarton 02:35.41 Competition Time! The return of Competition time, in which you can win a kid's 30th anniversary shirt. Courtesy of Mr Savage. 02:37:42 Final thoughts and bye for now

With Caley Thistle sitting just three points off the foot of the Championship, Stevie, Sandy and AY joint host Moff to record the first Wyness Shuffle podcast of 2024. As usual we discuss recent performances and touch on developments at the club, as well as offering up two exclusive interviews, but the big focus is on the January transfer window. How many new players can we realistically see coming in? Are there any gems out there for Big Dunc to unearth? Can Alex Samuel be everything that Cillian Sheridan wasn't? And is it possible to replace David Wotherspoon and Sean Welsh? All this and more coming up as we go through the window. Let's shuffle!   00:00:58: Welcome / Hopes for 2024. Moff introduces the panellists and we reveal our hopes for ICT in 2024 00:04:25: Game by Game. The panel discusses the Scottish Cup tie against Broomhill (00:04:40) and the recent league matches against Dundee United (00:13:20), Ayr (00:21:06), Airdrieonians (00:27:02) and Greenock Morton (00:28:30). 00:29:55: The Rest of the Season. How many more points might ICT need to survive in the Championship? We do the maths. 00:37:21: The Transfer Window. More in hope than expectation, we identify the areas of the park that should be the priorities for new signings and throw some names into the hat, then discuss the release of Sean Welsh and say goodbye to other departing players. 00:52:33: Talk to Me: David Wotherspoon. Has any other player made such a big impact in such a short time with ICT? Stevie cracks open the Kleenex for an emotional conversation with Dundee United's latest signing and gets his thoughts on Duncan Ferguson and playing for Caley Thistle, then the panellists discuss the interview. 01:19:20: Fantasy Window: With James ‘son of Jamie' Carragher joining ICT at the start of the window, we consider which other relatives of famous players we would like to tempt to the Highlands.  01:23:48: Talk to Me: Alex Chisholm (Clachnacuddin FC Chairman): Links between Caley Thistle and Inverness's sole remaining Highland League representative are strong. Moff sat down with the chairman of the Merkinch club to hear about his ambitions for Clach, his efforts to engage with the local community, and his belief in the importance of football to Inverness.   01:51:41: The Club. Intrepid reporter Sandy gives us a round-up of the issues we can expect to hear discussed at the Supporters' Trust meeting on Feb 3rd. 01:56:45: League Lookahead. We look at the forthcoming league fixtures against Raith Rovers, Queen's Park, Partick and Arbroath. 02:06:14: Competition Time. Moff reveals details of our latest fantastic competition prize and how you can win it.

In the shepherding world and at Raising the Baa we find U a perplexing letter to use, as its pronunciation describes a female sheep.  And for those who are familiar with our communications it is apparent that we substitute EWE for U more often than not!And we love it when people start using it when conversing back since we reckon we've got a real fan

Er... team?Would be churlish for us to say otherwise! In the shepherding world the team comprises the shepherd and their dog, or for those with larger flocks, their dogs. This epitome of a trusty team is at the heart of all that we at Raising the Baa deliver, on and off the field.  And this podcast series is just one example.Continuing our series, The A-Z of Team Building, themes beginning with T are discussed:- how can one hot drink can lift energy and build team spirit?- why iteration and analysis shouldn't be neglected- if lacking, it's one of the top 5 behaviours of a dysfunctional team This series was inspired by the many lessons learned by our clients following their experience of Raising the Baa.
