In the 1976 movie Network, upon being prompted by news anchor Howard Beale, people in cities all over the USA get up, open their windows, and yell, “I’m mad as hell as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!”. It is now 2018 and people still seem mad as hell - only now, instead of yelling out our windows, we have the internet to amplify our rage. Recently, there has been a lot of conversation about outrage on the internet and the impact of the internet on everything from our relationships to our democracy to our psyches.
