GAIL ANGELES, Owner of Rainbow Food Rocks, Rainbow Healing and Wellness, and Rainbow Herbals Gail Angeles lives in Phoenix, AZ, with her three children: Abigail, Adeline, and Jeffy, and her husband, Jeff.  She studied many foreign languages and produced many paintings before switching gears into health and wellness. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, Anthropology, and Philosophy. She is also a certified Yoga Instructor, a certified Reiki Master, a certified Advanced Life Coach, a Wellness Consultant, and a Kriyaban. Gail became a self-made chef out of necessity when she and her three child all became unwell around the same time in 2015. Although each person's health issues manifested into different symptoms and diagnoses ranging from Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyper Disorder (ADHD), bodily pain, fatigue, stomach and bowel issues, rashes, dizziness, and more, the same five “allergy-foods”: wheat, dairy, corn, soy, and eggs, were the root cause of all the different health issues.  This “food allergy” awareness motivated Gail to learn more about food. After a four-year journey of Gail healing her children and herself, Gail wrote the recipe book, Rainbow Food Rocks, with the intention of helping others with “food allergies” and “mystery illnesses” heal themselves by eating a wheat-free, dairy-free, corn-free, soy-free, egg-free, peanut-free, yeast-free, and meat-free, organic diet.  Most of Gail's recipes are sugar-free, with an option to add in a sweetener.  Many, but not all, recipes are nut-free. Gail's oldest daughter, Abigail, who considers herself healed from ASD and ADHD, created the title of Gail's first recipe book, because she believes Rainbow Food Rocks!!! Gail loves to connect with people!  She is on two YouTube channels: Rainbow Food Rocks and Rainbow Healing and Wellness, and on Instagram as: @rainbow_food_rocks, @rainbowhealingandwellness, @rainbowherbals. Jimmy wrote in to discuss some old souvenir items you would find in Tomorrowland. The bulb spinner and Spacewarp Toy Coaster were somewhat rare, but available places other than Disney. We get into these things and some other items being sold at WDW. Shaun wants to know if Morgana was the name of the fortune teller at the Fiesta Fun Center. Well, How tells us about this fortune machine and directed us to a Widen Your World article. BREAKING NEWS:  We have discussed this in the past, but we now have confirmation on Stormalong Bay and the real fish tank styled pool.  Patrick and I discussed a river ride with freshwater fish and snorkeling - think lazy river. This is the only pool of the three that has a loop. In May 1990, Patrick heard from a lifeguard that the fish wouldn't make it through the night - so they ditched the idea. This was in Birnbaum's though!  David is up next and he stayed there, during this time period. Main Topic Horizons: Part 3 - The Legacy We finalize the ride this month, as the last episode was just insanely long and had to be cut off. Todd gets us back in the ride vehicles and we talk about choosing your own ending. How has everything worked out in detail, as to how this worked as a ride.... Ted even chimes in with some official wording on how all of this functioned day in and day out, using the Horizons Ride Control System manual. Very techy stuff, part numbers, duty cycles and so much - insanely detailed.The Legacy though...We discuss our own personal rides and recollections related to Horizons. The closure is brought up, with how it was open, then closed then reopened. Disney World didn't bring much fanfare for closures, but Test Track being delayed kept Horizons opened even longer. Todd gets us talking about the Mesa Verde Times - which is an amazing story of documentation and danger! We hope from these efforts, Disney has learned to document better and also take note of the fanbase, as people have emotional connections to these attractions.  Overview:  In 1993, Nestle took over as the title sponsor for The Land.  One of the changes they made was to close The Kitchen Kabaret, ending the run of veggie, veggie, fruit, fruit.  In March of 1994, Food Rocks was opened in its place. While it was similar in nature - food singing about good nutrition - it was quite a different show. My guest today is Mark Hix. Renowned chef and restaurateur, Mark is widely recognised as the reviver of modern British cuisine and is famous for his focus on a straightforward interpretation of British cooking. He is without a doubt one of London’s most eminent restauranteurs. Mark launched his first restaurant – Hix Oyster & Chop House in Farringdon, in 2008, after having spent 17 years as chef director at Caprice Holdings. He followed the opening of his first restaurant with Hix at Browns hotel, Hix Soho and the chicken and steak restaurants, Tramshed in Shoreditch and Hixter Bankside. In February 2016, Mark teamed up with artist Damien Hirst to open Pharmacy 2 at the Newport Street Gallery in Vauxhall. Somehow amongst all of that Mark has written 10 cookbooks, he has a weekly food column and Mark hosts an annual food festival in Lyme Regis, Food Rocks to showcase the best producers and suppliers in Dorset and nearby. It’s been said about Mark by none other than Tracey Emin, “What’s amazing about his success is how nice he is.’ This is an exciting episode with one of the most famous chefs and restauranteurs in London. We find out about the dishes that have shaped Mark’s life, his business highs and even some lows. We discover he has an usual love of ceramic jugs and we find out which restaurant in the world he likes so much he wishes it were his. I hope you’ve had a great week, and over indulged suitably. Rick and Brian also take a crack at making their own awkward segues, the lads play a couple games inspired by Tone Loc and run through all the singing food puns that were a part of Disney's Food Rocks attraction.
