This episode contains: All three of our intrepid hosts are back for this all new episode! Ben is drinking decaf tea while the rest of drink coffee (“It's tea time!”). Devon was out of town during Hurricane Beryl. Devon tells us about his family trip to California Adventure. His youngest did not like the Cars ride. Both of his kids really liked Sorin'. Steven and Ben played Arcs, a game about interstellar civilizations. It was a bit of a hard sell but Ben finally came around and enjoyed it. Pre-order here: https://ledergames.com/products/arcs Ben has finished Prodigy Season 2. It's the Star Trek Legacy show we may never get. Everyone needs to watch the entire season to ensure Netflix makes another season. Prodigy does for Star Trek what The Clone Wars did for Star Wars. We have some spoilers for Season 2 of Star Trek: Prodigy. Trailer Overload: Steven made us watch a lot of trailers for new TV shows and movies. We're surprised they're still making Futurama. The actors are sounding a bit old. The Dune show looks cool. Ben has finally seen Dune Part II but Steven has not (and he's still on the show for some reason). Will a new Time Bandits capture the charm of the original? We're looking forward to more Severance. Captain America: Brave New World is also a movie that is coming out. Apparently it will tie together some loose threads in the MCU. Harris Ford as Red Hulk? Okay. More MCU: Agatha All Along. Steven and Ben are going to give it a shot. In the latest issue of The Comic Section Podcast, we kicked off the discussion by acknowledging the significance of National Self Care Awareness Month. We shared our personal self-care routines and asked listeners what they do for their own self-care, fostering a sense of connection and well-being. Shifting to the entertainment industry, we delved into the Writers Guild of America's tentative deal with the studios, shedding light on the terms and implications of this agreement. We discussed how this deal impacts both writers and the content we enjoy. A significant development in the world of video games was next on the agenda, as the hosts revealed that SAG-AFTRA members had voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike against 10 major video game companies. We explored the reasons behind this vote and its potential impact on the gaming industry. Fans of the Halloween franchise were in for exciting news as the podcast informed them that the rights to the franchise were up for grabs. This presented an opportunity to fulfill John Carpenter's original anthology plan for the series, a topic that surely sparked a lot of enthusiasm and speculation. We also addressed the gender pay gap in Hollywood as Leslie Jones revealed that she had to fight for just one percent of her co-star's salary in the 2016 Ghostbusters film. We discussed the broader issue of pay inequality in the industry and the ongoing efforts to address it. A major development in the world of sports and entertainment followed, as the podcast highlighted WWE's merger with UFC earlier in the month. We mentioned that all eyes were now on WWE's media rights, especially since broadcast deals for Monday Night Raw, WWE NXT, and WWE SmackDown were set to expire in Fall 2024. Trailers always generate excitement, this week we provided listeners with a sneak peek at trailers from Disney's Wish, Rick and Morty Season 7, Totally Killer, and Argylle, offering their thoughts and insights on these upcoming releases. Finally, Rigel shared his reviews for Futurama Season 11 and Invitation to Hell, offering valuable opinions on these pieces of entertainment. Tune in to The Comic Section Podcast for engaging discussions, industry insights, and reviews that cover a wide range of topics in the world of pop culture and entertainment.

We are so back! Never thought this day would come. The rift between Johnny and Tariq was severe. They couldn't stand the sight of each other. The idea of recording one more minute of podcast together disgusted them both. At one point Mikey (Executive Producer and Co-Creator) said to the fellas, "We never did Futurama season 7. The listeners will be expecting it." Johnny looked him dead in the eyes and replied, "F*** the listeners." Really goes to show how far we've come. We're sorry we were away for so long!
