Martha has two national comedy specials: CBC's COMICS! and SOMETHING ABOUT MARTHA on the Comedy Network. She makes regular appearances on: CBC's LAUGH OUT LOUD, the Just For Laughs Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and CBC's THE DEBATERS. She's also a regular on the hit CBC show, BECAUSE NEWS. You may also recognize Martha on the big screen with Denzel Washington in JOHN Q, with Chris Rock in DOWN TO EARTH and with Fifty Cent in GET RICH OR DIE TRYING. In this episode, I wanted to focus on the mentality you have to have to make money.  I call this episode "Get Rich Or Die Trying" because that's what I was thinking of as I was making this episode.  50 cent used that slogan as his framework to become successful.  I think many of us can use the same.   What you have to realize is that most people that strive to become successful fail a lot.  It was a lot of tough times that made them want to give up. But, it also helped them to build character so that they can be the success story that they're today.  One of my most people biggest problems is getting started.  Once you get started, it's easier to figure it out.  I dived into these points in this episode and used some of my own experiences to give examples.

The name J-Batters was self-selected and came from an old mobster who goes by the name of Tony Accardo aka Joe Batters. In the mid/late 1900's Accardo worked his way up to the Boss position in The Chicago Outfit and was given the name “Joe Batters” by Al Capone. As the barrage of gangster rappers rapidly began to decrease during the crossover from the late 90s into the 20th century, many hardcore Hip Hop heads are left in limbo, awaiting the next real hardcore lyricist to emerge and do it on as big of scale as 50 Cent did, controlling the underground street scene while still selling well over 10 Million copies of "Get Rich Or Die Trying." Sounds pretty far-fetched according to today’s high volume of music downloading, but in Batters words “nothing is too far-fetched when you keep your faith in God”.  See Full Bio Here....    https
