That is the premise of this episode. How to effectively communicate and resolve conflict through accountability. Many relationships struggle with properly communicating and understanding each other perspectives. Being dismissive is one of the biggest communication mistakes many make that causes friction. Just because you didn't mean it doesn't make it okay and to ignore the hurt or offensiveness of the other person is insensitive.Are intentions can be pure, and the message we were trying to convey may not come out right, but that doesn't excuse or justify what we said. Bottom line if you say something that is offensive to someone, it is best to acknowledge that your actions or words was hurtful. We have to get in the habit of understanding and acknowledging how we may come across to others.We don't always see our communication as wrong or offensive when our communication style is the norm. You have to be willing to see things from another person's point of view in order to come to a resolution. But that doesn't get the other person off the hook. Just like the offender needs to look at self and make adjustment to their Being, the person who is offended needs to be able to accept the motive as expressed, forgive, and move on. Resolving conflict can't be one-sided and only one person is making the necessary changes to resolve and be able to live in harmony.
