In ep 135 of “How Do You Say That?!” sponsored by britishvoiceover.co.uk, Lance C. Fuller joins Sam and Mark to talk about the feelings inside - and how you can translate them to the mic! How to respect the comedy in a script by not playing it - whether intentionally or not and how to underline points using pace without making the listener think you're underlining them! All that and a wildcard that brings an inanimate object beautifully to life! Our VO question this week is all about how you make sure your message isn't just heard... but it's felt!Get involved! Have you got a Wildcard suggestion that we should try or an idea for the show? Send it to us via Mark or Sam's social media or email it directly to podcast@britishvoiceover.co.ukScript 1You see, before the 1960s, healthcare was the unregulated wild west and some pretty terrible things happened... Soon, healthcare professionals realised regulation was necessary to improve the quality of care, keep patients safe, and make staff productive. So, a number of industry organisations were formed to put standards in place. That's where we come in. We help healthcare organisations and practitioners ensure they're compliant with those industry standards. And in doing this, we also help them get paid faster and improve their operational efficiency and prevent them from being fined or shut down.Script 2From studio 7H in Lolla Plaza, New York City, and in collaboration with N-A-R Studios in Los Angeles, California, I'm Mason Lane and this is Cold Case Crime Cuts. Stories inched apart, stories coaxed outside. Restoring, repainting and revarnishing faded shades of story, from first to last and back again. Stories that sing. Or have been sung. In song. Listen out for them, maybe before you listen to this. Episode 7: Smooth Criminal. Today’s guest, Kirk Cameron, isn't trying to win a cultural war with loud slogans or viral outrage. Instead, the renowned actor, evangelist, author, and outspoken Christian is offering something quieter, but arguably more radical in today’s climate: a children’s television show filled with puppets, songs, and Bible-based lessons on identity, forgiveness, and courage. In today’s episode, Kirk will be diving into the heart and mission behind his newly released, “Iggy and Mr. Kirk” children’s television show, a live-action series featuring a cast of whimsical characters and stories aimed squarely at families hungry for “safe, meaningful screen time.” The inspiration for this show really came from the cry of parents wanting something that they can put their kids down in front of for 10 minutes or 20 minutes that’s not going to assault them, or even worse, pollute their minds with wrong ideas about God, their gender, or sexuality. Instead, this counter-cultural show is geared toward actually entertaining kids and igniting their imagination while building their character and encouraging family relationships. Trust us, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss! One of the greatest villain actors of all time, Robert Patrick is stopping by New Zealand. He's most well known for playing the T-1000 terminator in the second film of the Terminator series, and for his roles in Reacher, Peacemaker, and the Yellowstone prequel 1923. Patrick is coming to New Zealand next month, popping up at panels and signings at Auckland's Wintergeddon Armageddon Expo. He told Mike Hosking that fans don't normally get the chance to meet their favourite actors in person, so it's neat that they can have a chance to meet him. “It's neat to have people tell you how much they love your work,” he said. “How they saw your film, and where they saw it, and they watched it with their dad, and you know.” “It's neat to see the impact you, you've been able to have on some people's lives.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Kicking off Football Friday, We sit down with one of the best NFL running backs to ever play, Thomas Jones who found new success in life after football. It is not an unfamiliar story that athletes struggle to transition in their post careers or to find something as fulfilling as the sport they dedicated their life to but developing a new identity gave new purpose to the former running back. Jones, a member of the 10,000 rushing yards club and a recent Pro Football Hall of Fame Nominee, opens up to Ryan, Fred and Channing about his journey to become who he is today, from a small town and strict family upbringing to playing on the big stage of the NFL and now a Hollywood star. After a very successful on field career and one of the best at the position to play the game, Jones found himself lost after stepping away from the NFL losing that the locker room camaraderie and everyday focus was difficult. Going from waking up early in the morning to being at a NFL facility, Jones found himself on the verge of becoming an alcoholic drinking every morning headed down a dark path until he was introduced to acting which he says, saved his life. Determined to take on a new identity, Ryan points out that when you Google this former star-studded athlete, he's known for being an “American Actor” rather than an “Ex-NFL Player.” Jones shares with the guys that this distinction was intentional as he has now carved a niche for himself in Hollywood with break out roles in the film industry including, Straight Out Of Compton, Being Mary Jane, P-Valley and now as a Show Runner and Producer in the unscripted world, documenting the lives of other former NFL players adjusting to life after football. Of Course the banter with Channing continues as he starts asking the Channing type questions including what the sex scenes are like and intimate moments on screen with famed actresses such as Gabrielle Union as well as diving into some of his former high profile relationships, specifically his history with actress Meagan Good. Tap in every Tuesday at Noon eastern and on Fridays at 3:30pm est to catch some of the best conversations around sports and culture with life lessons.
