This week, Dread Media presents its (at least) annual conversation with our friend, filmmaker, writer, and film festival runner Gregory Lamberson. The fellas talk about Killer Rack on the festival circuit, Greg's first standalone horror novel Black Creek, the Buffalo Dreams Film Festival line-up, and the cult resurgence of Greg's 1988 classic Slime City. Rich the Monster Movie Kid comes on back to discuss this week's Bela Lugosi film in a review of The Devil Bat. And of course, there's music: "Working Class Hero" by Screaming Trees, "Killer Rack Title" by Armand Petri and Joe Rozier, "Diary of a Madman" by Ozzy Osbourne, and "Mission Creep" by Zombi. RIP Soledad Medrano. Send feedback to: feedback@dreadmedia.net, or 206.278.5257. Follow @DevilDinosaurJr and @dreadmedia on Twitter! Join the Facebook group! Episode 400 is coming next week, so we needed to clean some of the piles of reviews we have sitting around in Dread Media Global Headquarters. First up, Duane and Desmond take a look at the Canadian horror comedy Wolfcop. Then Desmond settles in for a barrage of reviews from across all media. Books: Angel of the Abyss by Ed Kurtz, Facial by Jeff Strand, and Human Monsters by Gregory Lamberson. A comic book: Shaolin Cowboy: Shemp Buffet. And another film: Muck. Of course, it would be weird if we all of a sudden stopped playing music, right? "American Werewolf in Calgary" by The Browns, "Devil's Blood" by Cancer Bats, "Clones (We're All)" by Alice Cooper, "Unseen Tormentor" by Early Man, and "Killer on the Lamb" by Banjo & Sullivan. RIP Geofrrey Lewis, Tom Towles, and Herb Trimpe. Send feedback to: feedback@dreadmedia.net, or 206.278.5257. Follow @DevilDinosaurJr and @dreadmedia on Twitter! Join the Facebook group! It's a special episode dealing with disability, disfigurement, and justice. Bear with me! I have a hedgehog! First up, Desmond and Chris dissect a film that has the guy from CSI track down a serial killer with a hairlip: Manhunter. Then Devil Dinosaur Jr. creeps us all out with a review of the batshit crazy film The Baby. Then Desmond comes back with the Read a Book segment with a vengeance! Three books he happened to read in a row that deal with disfigured heroes trying to save damsels in distress: Knuckleduster by Andrew Post, Storm Demon by Gregory Lamberson, and Ugly As Sin by James Newman. There's some beautifully disfigured tunes for your warped ears, too: "Killing the Dragon" by Dio, "The Mirror and the Ripper" by Volbeat, "I Don't Want to Grow Up" by The Ramones, "God Loves Ugly" by Atmosphere, and "Blood Money" by Eyehategod. RIP Joey Lacaze. Send feedback to: feedback@dreadmedia.net, or 206.203.1213. Follow @dreadmedia on Twitter! Join the Facebook group! Visit www.stayscary.wordpress.com.
