Regarding S9E20, the live Story of Rock and Roll Radio Show for 14th of May 2026, could not be recorded due to me being in the hospital, having wisdom teeth out, and not getting home in time to be able to do the show. Nach ihrem spektakulären Auftakt in Teil 1 schließen die Martin Pieler, Alex Batzke, Marc Hofmann und der per Bluetooth-Box zugeschaltete Klaus Biehler ihre Reise durchs Jahr 2008 ab. Die zuvor vergessenen Weltereignisse werden hervorgekramt und oszillieren zwischen Hoffnung und Katastrophe. Dann klappen sie noch einmal die Filmdose auf und zerren etliche Streifen hervor, die 2008 die Leinwände beleuchtet haben. Es stellt sich heraus, dass dieses Jahr ein außerordentlich gutes Filmjahr gewesen ist, was nicht nur, aber vor allem auch an Christopher Nolans "The Dark Knight" liegt. Schließlich kommen sie bei der Musik an und müssen erst noch ein paar Alben wegarbeiten, die zwar irgendwie musikhistorisch relevant, aber nicht unbedingt gut sind. Anschließend bringt jeder noch drei Alben mit, die nacheinander vorgestellt und diskutiert werden. Hat Alex aus Martin einen Swiftie gemacht? Stößt Marcs Einschätzung der Killers auf Zustimmung? Warum weint Klaus plötzlich bei Grey's Anatomy? Geht Schwarz zu Blau von Peter Fox immer noch als adäquates Stadtgedicht im Deutschunterricht durch? Diese und viele weitere Fragen werden zu besprechen sein. Es war wie immer ein herrliches Treffen bei "Pop und Pubertät". Send us a text25 Years Later: The Inspiration Behind Boiler Room's  "Rectify"#newmusic #numetal #metalmusic #vocalist #boilerroom #rectify Originally formed in 1996 in New York City, Boiler Room released their self‑titled, independent album that same year produced by future Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal. The addition of Rob Caggiano (Anthrax, Volbeat) in 1998 began a creative writing relationship between him and singer Chris Lino and elevated the bands sound and performance. 1999 saw the band opening for nationally recognized acts along the East Coast, including Type O Negative, Life of Agony, Clutch and Static‑X, helping them catch the attention of renowned NYC radio station 92.3 K‑ROCK. Upon the release of their album they toured with Disturbed, Mudvanye, Kittie, and also Headlined a club tour in Europe.The band disbanded in 2001, with Caggiano leaving to join Anthrax and the other members dispersing into various projects. Chris Lino connected with Mike Orlando and finally in 2022, Orlando reached out to Chris and suggested that he consider re-recording and re-releasing some of Boiler Room's previously released songs.
