Cam and Jen were invited to be on The All About Nothing Podcast. They were asked to discuss the murder of Dr Jennifer Wilson. Dr. Jennifer Lee Wilson was a beloved USC professor, a Fulbright scholar, and a passionate advocate for children's literacy. In 2011, after turning to online dating in hopes of finding love, she met a man who initially seemed charming but soon showed troubling signs of control and obsession. As Jennifer tried to set boundaries and regain her independence, the situation escalated in ways she could never have anticipated. Thank you to Barrett of The All About Nothing Podcast. We really enjoyed talking with you! Plus, thank you for sharing this audio. This week, Jimmy and Richie talk to Jimmy's daughter, Author and Illustrator Michelle MacLean about her book "Abilities". Michelle MacLean is a 7th grade Special Educator in Sudbury Massachusetts. Her inspiration for her graphic novel came when her students with different disabilities started to make negative comments about their challenges with school. Not finding any characters for her students to connect with, she decided to create them. Michelle had her own challenges growing up in school as she was placed in a sub separate special education class for having dyslexia. Despite having dyslexia, she was always a creative cartoonist. Michelle went on to earn her masters at Framingham State University in Special Education. Her goal for this book is to help kids with different disabilities learn more about themselves and persevere through the challenges of school. The character in her book Daniella is a reflection of herself growing up in middle school.

Welcome to the 7th season of the Knowledge of Nothing (KON) podcast! Where your hosts, Tony, Brian, Oren and Wayne (aka the KONMen) discuss the inane, somewhat entertaining, and occasionally educational topics on a weekly basis. Thanks to one of our long-time listeners (and family member), we tested out a new game called “Same, Same but Different” where two different statements are presented and the guys have to come up with a word/phrase that works for both. Robert Eyler shares his journey from college football to becoming a CPA, certified mindfulness meditation teacher and yoga instructor. He discusses how yoga helped him heal both physically and mentally after leaving sports, and how mindfulness practices supported his recovery from an Adderall addiction. Robert opens up about the ongoing stigma surrounding bringing personal passions into the workplace, yet emphasizes the importance of showing up as your whole self for stronger team connections and improved well-being. He recounts transformative experiences, like a 10-day silent meditation retreat and using mindfulness techniques to navigate real-life challenges. Robert encourages listeners to prioritize activities that fill their cups, reminding us that work achievements pale in comparison to meaningful connections and self-care. Ultimately, he believes that embracing your "And" leads to a more balanced, rewarding life, both personally and professionally. Episode Highlights · Robert shared how yoga and meditation helped him transition from being a college football player, recover from addiction, and heal both his body and mind. · He emphasized the value of having interests outside of work, explaining that these passions make people better professionals and more fulfilled humans. · Robert highlighted that slowing down, through practices like mindfulness and yoga, often leads to greater progress and better well-being, in contrast to the constant push for speed and productivity. · He talked about the stigma against openly sharing personal passions at work, and advocated for leaders and workplaces to embrace the whole person, not just the job title. · Robert encouraged listeners to pursue their passions regardless of whether others care, because filling your own cup enables you to better support and connect with others, ultimately leading to a more meaningful life.
