A woman's husband goes up to the attic to retrieve something and down comes…a different husband. Wouldn't we all sometimes like to exchange the husband we have for a better, newer, or just different model? Holly turned this idea into a novel that is both funny and thoughtfully considered. It may not, in fact, be such a great thing to have an endless supply of potential husbands so easy to exchange.  Her book has been optioned by Apple Plus for a limited series and I just saw that Juno Temple, the actress who played Keeley in the Ted Lasso series, is slated to play the starring role.   And because it is April, and April is National Poetry Month, we're discussing books related to poets. Not everyone loves poetry, but these books aren't actually poetry–so you can still partake of poetry month. Lewin emphasizes the importance of understanding this new predation behavior, as it indicates that whale sharks have a formidable predator. He also stresses the need for conservation efforts to protect whale sharks, which face threats from climate change, pollution, and fishing activities. August 30th is celebrated as International Whale Shark Day around the world. this time on the Shark Task Force, let's meet this impressive animal in the waters off the coast of the Yucatan.

Stella Diamant is a passionate conservation biologist who founded the Madagascar Whale Shark Project, introduced a code of conduct for whale shark tourism, initiated an environmental education programme for Malagasy youth, and has identified almost 500 individual Whale Sharks.   She's now working in collaboration with other NGOs and has helped ensure the code of conduct is being added to Malagasy law, and will soon be compulsory for all operators across Madagascar interacting with marine megafauna.   An old friend of CC, Stella talks candidly about her insights from her experience founding and running the NGO single-handedly. She talks passionately about why Whale Sharks matter and what she's doing to help conserve them.
