On this episode of the Dale Jr. Download, it's an Earnhardt family reunion as Dale Earnhardt Jr. is joined in the Bojangles Studio by his sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller and their nephew Jeffrey Earnhardt. Jeffrey made headlines in the stock car racing world last April when he piloted the Richard Childress No. 3 that his grandfather Dale made famous to a second-place finish in the Xfinity race at Talladega. The interview discusses his time spent in the NASCAR ranks over the last 16 years and the path that has led him to be in a full-time ride in the Xfinity Series, driving the No. 44 Chevy entry for Alpha Prime Racing. While he is an Earnhardt, Jeffrey has made it a point to earn his opportunities in racing based on hard work and merit, not his namesake. As a result, he's followed a winding, sometimes turbulent road through the motorsports world. He provides great insight to listeners on the differences between top-dollar teams and smaller operations in NASCAR, and what he's learned from his time spent with both. The Earnhardt family dynamic is also a topic of discussion, as well as Jeffrey's memories of Dale Sr. and his relationship with his father Kerry. Jeffrey Earnhardt joins Davey Segal (6:40) to debrief his season to date in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and top 15 run at Bristol with Sam Hunt Racing. He explains why running a partial schedule with no real momentum has been a challenge and how he and team owner Sam Hunt joined forces. Having a famous last name, Earnhardt has been unfairly labeled as a racer who's had everything given to him, but that couldn't be further from the truth. The grandson of "The Intimidator" explains why his family didn't want him to race in the first place, why his last name is a blessing and a curse as well as how the trials and tribulations he's gone through make him better. Earnhardt piloted the famed No. 3 car for Richard Childress Racing at Talladega earlier this year, winning the pole and finishing second. He reminisces about that memorable day, his time running in the Cup Series, driving for a laundry list of organizations, the monumental jump from Xfinity to Cup, whether he wants to get back to the top level of stock car racing and more. Plus, his passion for fishing, the biggest one he's ever caught, why he opted to try MMA for a bit, his expectations for Texas this weekend and the remainder of the 2022 season. Papa Segal pays homage to "Uncle Brenny," Davey discusses the Round of 16 elimination race at Bristol, the Next Gen issues that persisted and looks ahead to the Round of 12 at Texas.

After a memorable and somewhat nostalgic week at Talladega that saw Larry McReynolds and Jeffrey Earnhardt put on a show in the Xfinity Series, and Ross Chastain collect his second career Cup Series win, NASCAR heads to Dover, Delaware to race on the Monster Mile! The NextGen car hasn't produced great racing on shorter tracks by any means. Could that trend continue for 400 laps around Dover International Speedway? Do we see Hendrick Motorsports dominate Dover similar to last year? Is this finally the week Tyler Reddick gets his first career win? Matt Selz and Dan Malin are back to recap Talladega and preview Dover with everything you need for this weekend's race!

After a jam-packed weekend of motorsports, Phil and Josh return to cover it all in E111 of the GSP. Ross Chastain came back from nearly wrecking the field and being down a lap to win his second race of the 2022 Cup season, solidifying himself as a championship contender. Plenty of big names suffered huge wrecks or mediocre days behind Chastain and the usual Hendrick/Gibbs domination. Gragson won the XFinity race but the coverage and attention went to Jeffrey Earnhardt, who drove the RCR 3 car like his legendary grandfather to the pole and a second place finish. Adding to the domination was Verstappen and Red Bull who maximized their points haul throughout the weekend at Imola to cut Charles Leclerc's lead nearly in half as they move to Miami in a couple weeks. The racing wasn't spectacular but the conditions definitely made it difficult for all the drivers - including Lewis Hamilton who had one of the worst weekends of his legendary career. The Roundup covered MotoGP/Moto2, F2/F3, WSBK, WRC, MotoAmerica, BTCC, NHRA, IMSA, Supercars, Formula E and DTM before leading into the IndyCar preview at Barber. Can Josef Newgarden continue his winning streak or will Alex Palou defend his race win from last year? Who could be a dark horse for this weekend? Dover will host the Cup and XFinity Series this weekend so Phil and Josh made their picks for winners and who could surprise at the Monster Mile. Josh covers his Jacksonville Jaguars who have the #1 pick in the NFL Draft and what they should do vs. what they may do with Baalke at the helm. Phil bemoans the 49ers situation with Deebo along with Jimmy G still being around and Alex Mack's likely retirement. The FallBrawl league is back and Josh is looking to win after two strong seasons so far. Phil just wants to get a sixth title after a long dry spell. Josh discusses iRacing and his exploits in the 87 Cup cars along with IndyCar in his prep for the Indy 500 along with Dale Jr's win in the Mooncar series before the show close.
