Whilst this sounds like it should help people, there are lots of evidence that shows those who need such help the most are disproportionately affected in times like these meaning they stop driving. For personal car usage this helps only the wealthy, however in the wider transportation ecosystem this will help to keep some costs down and not add to the impact the crisis is already having. The unveiling of a new electric supercar from Ferrari sharply divided the internet Tuesday morning as traditionalists decried the design as “an Apple product on wheels” and supporters praised the luxury brand's bold attempt at a reinvention. Ferrari's unveiling of the Luce—a $640,000 speedster and its first ever electric model—sent shares down around 6% Tuesday morning as the brand's fans slammed the new model as an abandonment of its identity, specifically noting its aggressive styling. The car was designed in collaboration with former Apple designer Jony Ive and his business partner Marc Newson, who are credited with designing the Apple Watch, and the pair brought a distinctive Silicon Valley style to the Luce. This means anyone who can read the VIN, which is displayed for all to see, can gain access to that vehicle via the app and mobile service. There are more issues as well, but CARIAD has addressed some of them. However, they have not acknowledged the work of the researcher or paid them a bounty which is unacceptable behaviour from a company like the Volkswagen Group. FOLLOW UP: NTSB REPORTS ON FATAL BLUECRUISE INCIDENTSThe National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has published their report on two fatal incidents that involved Ford's BlueCruise semi-automated driving system, that allows for ‘hands off eyes on' driving. These boxes will record their journeys and from the binary inputs of those drivers they will be ‘judged' on how well they drive. This is despicable because the technology cannot judge because it is only using the binary inputs on braking, accelerating and steering with absolutely no knowledge of the environment or anything occurring around the vehicle.
