Mauricio Rebolledo is one of those veteran artists who has stood the test of time. He can play Burning Man, go back-to-back with DJ Tennis and mentor young producers with unwavering finesse, staying true to his signature sound of sparse, psychedelic chuggers. Where many of his peers have embraced a more commercial sound, the Mexican artist likes to keep it weird, opting for touches of Krautrock and hazy atmospherics in both his sets and on his albums. He tends to be associated with tribal drums and screwy trance, but in reality, the Hippie Dance cofounder and long-time Kompakt affiliate is a man of many influences—as heard on his RA Podcast. Whimsical interludes of French dance pop and retro synth-wave are interspersed with shoegazey electronics ("Dive" by Pale Blue) as well as plenty of his own productions, which blur the lines between minimal house and techno. This is a hypnotic, brooding journey that starts and ends with versions of Justus Köhncke's "Elan," which adds to the mix's loopy feel. (There's also a Prins Thomas remix thrown in for good measure.) No peaks or climaxes here, just long plateaus of zigzagging synths and winding chords. Turn on, tune in and drop out, as they say. @rebolledostyle Read more at https://ra.co/podcast/876

Emerge is the first DJ mix I ever made! I put this mix together and recorded it back in the Spring of 2012, before I ever had any DJ equipment. I made this mix using Virtual DJ on my laptop. I was experimenting with different ways I could put tracks together without necessarily beat-matching. As such, about a third of this mix I put together as a mixtape where the tracks just flow seamlessly into one another. The music I listen to changes with the seasons, so I had the idea that I would teach myself how to DJ by making a series of seasonal mixes that would reflect how my taste in music evolves over the course of the year to coincide with the weather. Spring to me sounds hopeful; full of life and energy. I picked tracks that sound bright, colorful, and bursting with energy, like seeds exploding and growing into flowers. I wanted this mix to capture the feeling of fresh renewal; new life, new energy, cells multiplying, organisms growing, flowers opening into the sun...

Preocoop Maskcatcher, Holger Zilske & Dave DK Remix(Baalsaal)Dave DK BIOGRAPHY http://www.davedk.com DJ & producer David Krasemann, better known as Dave DK has been making waves in the electronic music scene for a couple of years now, and now starting to emerge as a serious player. Since the early 90's he was fascinated by the upcoming techno movement, which eventually led to his own active initiation. 1995 was the starting point for the then 17 year old. Together with a longtime friend, Dave produced his first tracks and was involved in the organization of underground techno and house partys, constantly trying to spread and push new electronic music. Searching for new electronic sounds every day and having honed his skills as a producer in his chosen home Berlin, Dave released his first record on Müller Records in 1998. His DJ activities had been highly pushed since that time. In 1999 he became a resident DJ at Tresor/Globus club in Berlin, later on also at the legendary Panorama Bar. Beside his remix productions for Beroshima and Skiebäck he released records on raum...musik., Decore, Lifetime Music and Cadeaux. As Dave is an open minded person who resents musical limits, he doesn’t want to be reduced to one style. His sound simply is the result of different styles that have influenced him throughout the years. "I have a passion for the wide range between house and techno as well as pop music and dancefloor stuff of the early 90's", says Dave. Though he’s elegantly juggling a variety of electronic music to create his own style, in his tracks he often combines tragic melodies with kickin’ grooves that transform your body into a twisting stampede of electricity, with trademark swing and warm funk. The year 2000 can be marked as the first highlight in his career: his debut album "sensory overload“ had been released on Müller Records and there were musical excursions on Cologne’s Television label as well as on the Barcelona based Regular label. Dave is now currently recording for Moodmusic and also on Playhouse (a collaboration with Holger „Smash TV“ Zilske) which brings him even closer to his idea of electronic house tunes. In November 2007 Dave released his second album „Lights and Colours“ on Moodmusic. For Dave DK, music is a model of living in which he’s able to enhance his skills in order to realise his vision of modern electronic club and home entertainment – expect more fantastic releases in the very near future. Worldwide gigs: all over Germany, Japan, Brazil,China, Switzerland, Spain, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Israel, Portugal, Greece, Ukraine, USA , UK, Russia, Finland, France, Croatia, Hungary, Italy Special thanks to Dave Dk!!!More info @ www.davedk.comhttp://www.myspace.com/djdavedk My URL: myspace.com/mummiamiundergroundmovement
