Australia is full of different cultures and languages, but what does it mean to grow up balancing your linguistic heritage with English? Does it open doors or make life more confusing? Sirine Demachkie is second generation Lebanese and a bilingual TV presenter and producer. She is also the host of our sister company Kinderling Kids Radio's podcast Mother Tongue. Sirine grew up speaking Arabic at home, and now she is doing the same with her daughter. Jamila Rizvi is an articulate political commentator, but during the pandemic she found it difficult to explain what was going on to her four-year-old son Rafi.
