Significant jail time for peacefully protesting abortion.
In 2020, ten anti-abortion advocates peacefully blocked the entrance to a late-term surgical abortion facility in Washington, DC to keep mothers from killing their preborn babies. Now nine of them have been charged with violating the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) act and “conspiracy against civil rights.” They could face up to eleven years in prison. Earlier today, John Hinshaw (middle, age 69), was sentenced to 21 months in prison and Lauren Handy (on the far right), was sentenced to over four years. Although reasonable pro-life individuals may disagree with the tactics used by this group, one thing is clear: no one should be sent to prison for trying to peacefully save vulnerable preborn babies. But don't miss the irony here: nine pro-life activists (five of whom are over 60 years old) face up to eleven years in prison for “conspiracy against civil rights.” Yet those who make a living off cutting up little preborn babies for profit get off scot-free. Sarah and Dan present their problems with a petition drive that would create a state constitutional amendment on a women's right to choose. After a lot of great conversation about that, I move on to the REAL outrages in society: Girls in star-spangled outfits, CBS cutting off the Piano Man, and more.
After a week-long trial, a federal jury in Nashville, Tennessee, found six pro-life demonstrators guilty of violating the so-called Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE) for blocking access to an abortion clinic in a nearby city three years ago. They each face up to 10 1/2 years in prison and fines of up to $260,000. Attorney Stephen Crompton, representing one of the defendants, joins us with the details in this important case.

John F. Kennedy famously said, “A picture is worth a thousand words.” It's a proven fact that abortion victim images save lives. We've recorded many of the stories of saved babies and you can watch them by going to Created Equal's YouTube page. What is true about the effectiveness of abortion victim images is also true about ultrasound images. According to The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, 80 percent of abortion-minded mothers choose life after they see their unborn baby via ultrasound. Today on the program, Mark talks to Eddie Perez, President and CEO of Vans for Life, who has the vision to place mobile pregnancy center vans next to every abortion facility in the country and on borders of abortion-free states so we can help parents choose life for their babies. Vans for Life: https://www.vansforlife.org When we strategically place our mobile ultrasound units on borders of abortion-free states, we can help parents choose life for their babies. Mark also unpacks the tragic story of pro-abortion Rep. Corey Bush lamenting that nobody at the abortion clinic offered her the choice of adoption when she didn't want to kill her baby. When the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to an abortion in the United States, many people expected states to pass laws restricting access to abortion services. Perhaps less expected was that some lawmakers now seek to pass laws restricting — and criminalizing — speech about abortion services. On June 6, 2022, Newsmakers Host Lisa Pugh sat down with Julaine Appling, president of Wisconsin Family Action, and State Representative Barbara Dittrich (R-Oconomowoc) to discuss abortion in Wisconsin. The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to issue a ruling this month that could overturn Roe v. Wade, removing federal protection to a woman's access to an abortion. If that happens, a century old Wisconsin law goes into effect in this state, allowing abortion only to save the mother's life. Newsmakers is hosting two programs on this topic, this week inviting pro-life advocates to share their views.
Hank Hanegraaff, president of the Christian Research Institute and host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast, weighs in on the leak of Justice Alito's draft opinion that would strike down Roe v Wade. As Chief Justice John Roberts wrote, the leak was a “singular and egregious breach of trust.” The leaker not only struck a blow against the rule of law but put pro-life advocates squarely in the crosshairs of pro-abortion extremists who not only promote abortion up until the moment of birth but push for legislation that would make allowances for infanticide. Candice Owens, now seven months pregnant, has commented on the genocide of black preborn babies in America, noting that Margaret Sanger—birthmother of Planned Parenthood—didn't want black people to populate. That if it wasn't for the abortion industry, the black population would be double what it is today. That some 18 to 19 million black babies have been aborted since Roe v. Wade in 1973. Cumulatively, American's have now sacrificed somewhere between 60 and 65 million children on the altar of abortion. For further study, see the article by Aaron Turner, “Black Lives Matter Inside the Womb and Out,” https://www.equip.org/article/black-lives-matter-inside-the-womb-and-out/
