Twenty US states now have active privacy laws, GDPR fines hit $1.2 billion globally, and California's CCPA issued a record $1.35 million penalty. Michael breaks down how enforcement works based on consumer location rather than business headquarters, why third-party scripts and chatbots create hidden liability, and how compliant websites saw roughly 30% more search visibility over the past year. Business Coaching Secrets

In this episode, Karl Bryan and Rode Dog dive deep into the disruptive impact of AI on entrepreneurship, what truly sets successful business coaches apart before they even start, the real meaning of strategy for business growth, and how "comparison" can fuel your marketing instead of killing your joy. As always, they explore actionable frameworks, insightful analogies, and real-world stories—wrapped up with motivating lessons for staying committed to your goals. Key Topics Covered The Real Mission Behind AI and Its Impact Karl Bryan unpacks the bold mission statements of AI giants: literally aiming to "replace all human labor," and what that means for millions of jobs and entrepreneurial opportunity. The scary and exciting frontier: Real-world stories of billion-dollar companies run by two people plus AI agents, and emerging security risks (like Alibaba's rogue AI mining crypto). Who Really Wins in the AI Revolution Will 10 people end up owning the world's wealth? What happens to economies (e.g., the Philippines and customer service jobs) when AI eats entire segments? The entrepreneur's antidote: Make AI your servant, not your master. Business owners and coaches must harness it to stay relevant and create new opportunity. Predicting Entrepreneurial Success (Before It Happens) Karl shares his "three types of attitudes" that predict whether a business coach (or client) will thrive or struggle: The fallback planner—tries, hedges bets, rarely wins big. The grinder—does whatever it takes and eventually breaks through. The lifer—so all-in they'd "die before they quit." These are the inevitable seven-figure earners. The Mel Fisher story: 17 years searching for treasure—success comes to those who believe, persist, and know it's worth the effort. Strategy vs. Tactics—What's the Difference and Why It Matters Karl breaks down the old maxim: "Strategy eats tactics for breakfast," but reveals coaches should tactically start with small client wins. Think in filters: Strategy is about ruthless focus ("No to everything except your core thing"—see Kobe, Jordan, Buffett). Examples from Southwest Airlines, Toyota, Dell, and Walmart—each with a single-minded strategic focus articulated in a few words. Owning Your Identity: Using Comparison to Accelerate Growth How Tony Robbins and others "create their own crown"—turning bold promises and guarantees into authority and fame. Coaches should invent their own rankings, awards, and positions (e.g., "#1 ROI business coach in X city"), just like brands Titleist, Red Bull, and HubSpot do. Build your own comparison frameworks for yourself and clients—don't wait for outside validation. Notable Quotes "The goal of the big AI companies, literally from their mission statement, is to replace all human labor… The prize is owning the entire global economy." "Strategy is like a filter—you've got to say no to everything that's not your core thing. If you have multiple priorities, you've got no priorities." "When you're in a positive state of mind, you see opportunities. Negative state, you see problems. You've got to get those quick wins for your clients so they'll trust you." "Create your own comparisons—who's to say who's the number one business coach in your city? Take the mantle. Invent your own awards." "Pessimists get to be right, but optimists get to be rich." Actionable Takeaways Make AI Your Ally Be the boss who hires and directs AI, not the one replaced by it. Build or use AI-powered tools to multiply your effectiveness with clients. Predict Success With One Question Ask yourself (and clients): "What happens if this doesn't work out?" The lifer who answers "I'll die before I quit" is the one who wins. Focus With Ruthless Strategy Define your (or your client's) "main thing." Strip out all distractions. Decision-making becomes easy when you know your north star. Start With Quick Tactics When coaching, win small and win early. Stack up visible results to build buy-in before shifting heavy into strategy. Invent Your Positioning Create your own "#1" story. Rankings, awards, and bold promises (if fulfilled) can leapfrog you above the crowd. Motivation From Pain AND Vision Make a "lame life" list—avoid what you dread as fiercely as you chase your dreams. Use pain as motivation, not just vision boards. Serve First, Sell Second Offer help—real solutions, risk reversal, or guarantees. When people trust you to deliver results before they pay, you become easy to buy from. Resources Mentioned AI Coaching Tools AI Business Coaching Dojo AI Coach Assist Strategic Frameworks/Analogies Mel Fisher's treasure hunt Operating System Framework: Upsell, downsell, cross-sell, market dominating position, controlling costs Brand Examples for Positioning Southwest Airlines, Toyota, Dell, Walmart, Subway, Red Bull, HubSpot, Titleist, BMW, Volvo Inspirational reference: Tony Robbins' guarantee to cure phobias Karl Bryan's "No Results, No Fee" offer If you enjoyed the episode, subscribe, share with a fellow coach, and leave a review. Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, interviewed Kotryna Ragaisyte, Head of Content & Brand at Decodo, to spotlight a growing threat many businesses underestimate: digital squatting—fraudsters registering lookalike domains to impersonate brands, steal customers, and damage reputations. Ragaisyte explained that Decodo (formerly Smartproxy) is a web data collection infrastructure provider offering proxy and scraping solutions—“the backbone of the businesses that need publicly available data” for functions like price comparison and information gathering. Her team encountered digital squatting firsthand when attackers registered a country-code domain using their former brand name, forcing them to confront how difficult it can be to shut down impersonators even when you discover the scam quickly. The business impact, she said, is immediate and severe: reputational harm from fraudulent “service,” negative reviews, lost revenue, and significant legal and operational costs. “It impacts the whole business,” Ragaisyte noted, adding that fighting squatters becomes a cross-team crisis involving legal, marketing, customer support, and security—not a problem any one department can solve alone. Ragaisyte tied the surge in squatting to the post-COVID acceleration of online commerce and habit-driven clicking behavior—warning that top search placement doesn't guarantee legitimacy. She outlined why legal remedies can help but aren't a silver bullet: disputes may require proof of bad faith, can take a long time, must often be handled case-by-case, and don't stop future registrations. Her advice emphasized proactive defense—broad trademark coverage, building a robust domain portfolio beyond “.com” (including misspellings and country-code domains), and maintaining monitoring and internal readiness. Finally, she stressed that response requires disciplined evidence gathering, fast coordination with registrars/hosting providers and legal counsel, and transparent customer communication. Rather than hoping the issue will “go away,” Ragaisyte urged brands to clearly publish official domains and warn customers across email and social channels so scams don't define the narrative. I'm Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I've trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self-doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it's the antidote to fear. Each week, my guest will bring bold, executable, intrinsic and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It's a practice, not a perfect. Let's get started.Lesley Logan 0:44  Hi, Be It babe. How are you we're getting towards the end of August. Can you believe it? It is like the it's like the end of summer, this is when we start to get really sad about things, or maybe you're at the end of winter where you are, and you're like, thank God. So, so anyways, we're about to enter a different season in the world, and so I just want to say, make sure you take time for yourself to reflect back on what you did like about what you did, and what you want to change, because you have plenty of months to do that. Just plenty of time. There is, if we make it, you take time. And also, we don't try to be perfect, perfect about it, right? So on this episode, I share something that inspired me. I share one of yours. Hopefully it inspires you that there are wins everywhere in your life. I share a win of mine, and I share a mantra which may or may not have been skipped on those last three. Sometimes, again, I'm like, oh, I'm good. That was a great episode. And then I'm like, oh, there's a mantra. This is what happened, so I apologize if you missed the mantra. Lesley Logan 1:36  All right. So here we go. This inspired me, Seven Oddly Specific Spoken Affirmations. So, Your Spoken Spells for the Everyday. I kind of like, I like weird things like this, so hopefully you do, too. So we'll always put the link in the show notes, in case you want to, like, save any of them for your own life. And I would love to know which ones you saved. You can even send it in, you can DM us. You could also send in your wins and questions to the beitpod.com/questions. All right, so Seven Oddly Specific Affirmations, an affirmation for when time feels scarce and the to-do list won't quit. Ready? I am not behind. I am exactly where I need to be. Time expands for what matters, and I move through my tasks with ease. I release the illusion of urgency. What is mine to do will get done. That's for when you have an endless to do list. Okay. An affirmation for creative blocks and trust in your flow. I am a channel, not a critic. My creativity is alive and abundant. I do not force. I follow. I allow the ideas to move through me as they wish, knowing what an inspiration is cyclical and never lost. An affirmation for spring cleaning and clearing stagnant energy. So I know it's not springtime, but you know what it might be time to clear some stagnant energy where you are. As I clear my space, I clear my mind, I release what no longer aligns, making room for new energy to flow. My home is a reflection of me open, fresh and ready for what's next, a spoken manifesto for body gratitude beyond just movement. My body is not a problem to solve. My body is not waiting to be fixed. My body is a home, a landscape, a masterpiece in motion. I live here and I live well. A chant for expressing your personal style of confidence. I wear what makes me feel alive. My style is not for approval. It is my own joy. And I am bold. I am effortless. My style is extension of my inner beauty. A spell to banish the energy of an ex. Yes, really. I release what no longer holds me. I cut the cords. I reclaim my energy. I call my heart back home. What is gone is gone, and I no longer open doors to the past. An affirmation disrupt to disrupt self-doubt at work. I'm an asset, not an accident. I know my value. I own my ideas. I bring value to the team. My efforts are enough. I release the need to over-explain or prove myself. I already belong. So, hopefully those were fun for you. They were really fun for me. Lesley Logan 4:12  All right, time for a win of yours. All right. This is from Charlotte Coker. We know her from Agency, and she wrote, got a new private client who has never done Pilates, and she's loving it. She wants to attend two to three times weekly, heading to inbound studio shortly to attend for workshop with Carrie Pagès. Carrie is a dear friend of mine, so of course, it's so fun for me. So Charlotte, I hope you had the best time at Carrie's studio. Way to invest in yourself and give yourself permission to go do something that like lights you up, and way to be so passionate that someone who's never done Pilates before not only wants to do it with you, but wants to do it multiple times a week. That's huge. That's a big deal. Getting anyone to go from zero to three times in a week is a big deal. So congratulations. Thanks for sharing that with us. You guys, just being like, excited about what you do goes a long way. And I know not all of you are in business for yourself, and so that's not the point. But like, you are a magnet for great people to be in your lives. If you're passionate about things. I'm not saying, like, lie and fake it, but like, be it till you see it is about going well, who is it that I want to be? If the person I want to be doesn't complain and judge and criticize and mope, then what would I be doing? How would I be acting if I was already on the other side of this, right? And then it will help you. Oh, I need that version of me would have done therapy. That version of me would have moved. That version of me would have taken that new job, whatever it is, right? Like it helps you filter out what you're going to do. So thank you, Charlotte. Lesley Logan 5:40  Okay, a win of mine. I'm really proud of myself. I've got all my annual visits done. So, dermatologist, the mammogram, gynecologist, blood work, all is done. So, so excited to have to say that and share that and well, how is it a win? Because there's always a reason to postpone those things. There's always a reason to postpone those things. And when you do, my loves, you suffer because you actually, your body is able to, kind of like, tolerate some things. You can start to tolerate feeling moody, you can start to tolerate feeling uncomfortable. You can start to tolerate, oh, I'm just getting older, so that's why I have this or that. No, some of these things have solutions, right? And so I'm not saying, like, become obsessive, but get your annuals done. And I when I talked about a mammogram a year ago, I had a bunch of people, maybe not like, a dozen, but like, at least seven people from around the world going I heard mammograms aren't worth doing. And I said, oh, did they suggest something else for you? And they're like, No. And I'm like, why on earth would you listen to someone say that something doesn't work, but then they don't provide an option that does? You guys, like that kind of shit pisses me off, because making women scared of things that could save their lives, but not offering an alternative that will save their life. Fuck that like I'm not okay with that. So yeah, mammograms can miss things, and maybe they're not great for you, but they also can do ultrasounds, right? There's other things you can do. Please do not let people who sound very confident scare the heck out of you, out of preventative measures that can keep you from getting sick or dying, right? Please do your research. It's really, really, really important to me that you hear that and that you know that, like, do the research about and not, and this is the hard thing, right? Oh, when you hear people say, oh, go do your own research. A lot of the research out there that's a bunch of shit, because it's just some people, like, preponderance of crap scaring you. So truly, it's gonna be hard, especially flummo states, and they've gotten rid of some stuff, but, but do, do call your doctors? Do find out like, well, where, where did you get that information? Where can I read about it? How can what's the best resources I can look at? For the pros and cons, for me, they can help you, right? So don't go off on some influencer who says I'm a wellness doctor. Like, go, go. I'm not one. So go find go. Like, talk to the doctors that you'd love and trust and ask them where they you can do the research so that you can arm yourself with the best information they are in practice, they're not perfect. We don't do perfect around here. So anyways, I am so proud. I got all those done, and it's I got them done before the summer tour, so I don't have to worry about it, and now I can enjoy the rest of the year. Start them again next year, but we got to take care of ourselves. You know, getting older is not for the weak. It just really, really isn't. And so that's why I do Pilates. That's why I wear a weight vest. That's why I I check on my hormones. It's why I bring on all the guests that we bring on to help you make sure you can be till you see it all the way into the very end. Hopefully it's over 100 having the time of your life, enjoying what you do. Lesley Logan 8:39  Anyways, I do end these episodes usually with a mantra, so let me give you yours. Holy moly, can't believe this. We're coming okay, oh, this is great. I nourish myself with kind words and joyful foods. I nourish myself with kind words and joyful foods. I nourish myself with kind words and joyful foods. I love that go. Go be kind to yourself. Be your own best friend. All right, share this with a friend who needs to hear it and until next time, Be It Till You See It. Lesley Logan 9:09  That's all I got for this episode of the Be It Till You See It Podcast.
