Fell asleep this morning... before posting podcast/CaringBridge. Thin-film drug delivery has emerged as an advanced alternative to the traditional tablets, capsules and liquids often associated with prescription and OTC medications. Similar in size, shape and thickness to a postage stamp, or smaller, thin-film strips are typically designed for oral administration, with the user placing the strip on or under the tongue (sublingual) or along the inside of the cheek (buccal). These drug delivery options allow the medication to bypass the first pass metabolism thereby making the medication more bioavailable. As the strip dissolves, the drug can enter the blood stream enterically, buccally or sublingually. Evaluating the systemic transmucosal drug delivery, the buccal mucosa is the preferred region as compared to the sublingual mucosa.

Thursday April 13, 2023 Love isn't just a feeling, it's an action. ❤ In John 13, Jesus demonstrated this by washing the feet of his disciples and leaving them with a commandment to love one another. Let's take inspiration from his actions and show love in everything we do. Reading through the NT in 2023 John 13
Talking through the way the world shows love based on feeling and emotion, versus the way the Bible tells us to agape love, like God does, that is based on action and choice, the opposite of feelings. Sharing 3 ways to show your kids, family and others, that this fruit of the spirit, agape love, is growing in your life. Shownotes & Links: Scripture referenced: Galatians 5:22, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8,1 John 4:7&8 and Matthew 5:44. 4 types of love: Eros—which would be considered the “romantic love” between a man and a woman. Phileo—which is a way to describe the way you love a best friend Storge—this having love and loyalty for our families Agape—this fourth word for love that means God's love, and is the only type of love given to those who know Him…making it a spiritual gift. “I love this idea that self-love is dynamic. That self-love is actionable. It's not just loving yourself, it's not just a feeling, it's an action. It's something that you can practice and do every single day.”Earlier this week I dropped an episode with Jessika Brown of the Fuel Her Awesome Podcast. Jessika talked about how to love ourselves well, and the importance of appreciating ourselves as we are right here and now. She also encouraged us to be kind to ourselves instead of judgmental - which for some of us might feel like a revolutionary act of self-love.It's my hope that by listening to this meditation, you too can practice self-love through kindness and understanding. If you are ready to put judgment to the side and focus on treating yourself kindly, to appreciate yourself, to treat yourself with love and without judgment, then I invite you to press play as we meditate on self-love.What is one thing you can do for yourself this week as an act of self-love?Resources from today's episodeA Seven-Step Prescription for Self-LoveWhy Practicing Self-Love Isn't Optional but NecessaryResourcesFull Show NotesSubscribe to Kate's Weekly Love Letter Join The LBD CollectiveContinue the Conversation on Instagram @mskatehouse Health Coaching with Kate Schedule Your Discovery CallConnect with Liz Chapman - Podcast ManagerWebsiteInstagram

To quote a great tweet from @sista_theology, "A God that co-signs everything I do, say, think and believe, is not a God; but an idol of my own making."Too often in this day and age, we relegate the work that needs to be done to others versus gaining a true understanding of our roles. We are here to serve. No man is an island, devoid of the purpose of service and being in service with his fellow man. As such, the Financial Griot podcast crew is dedicating this episode to share what really moves us, in hopes that you are moved to serve in turn.As always share, like and subscribe for real conversations with people on the wealth and happiness journey. Here's a bit about our background and who we are:The Financial Griot is a play on two words (Finance + Griot) that hold significance in closing the racial wealth gap. Merriam-Webster defines a Griot as a West African historian, storyteller, praise singer, poet, or musician. The griot is a repository of oral tradition and is often seen as a leader due to their position as an advisor to royal personages. As a result of the former of these two functions, they are sometimes called a bard.As such, we tell the stories that others don't. Stories that we should share for growth, opportunity and understanding. Beyond that we talk about Finances. Specifically, how to become Financially literate, incorporating actionable steps and ultimately building generational wealth. So there you have it, The Financial Griot or TFG for short. You will be in for a treat. The hosts were able to amass over $2 Million in wealth in about 8 years and are on track to retire early. If you want the secrets; we will gladly share them since opportunity is abundant and Win-Win. In This Episode:The guys welcome in Tony Giovaniello to the Richest Men in Town conversation and he shares powerful life story of gifts, grit, love, and faith. There are two kinds of people in life. There are builders and there are murmurers. Have no doubt. Tony G. is a builder. He is a builder of community, a builder of people, and a builder of relationships. He shares moments where doors were opened to live into his gifts and now, looking back with his wife Kelly by his side, he sees the abundant life that he has been blessed with. Enjoy the throwback conversation about Sting Ray bikes with banana seats and kids fishing on the pier until dark. His story starts with a family of 6 in a 750 square foot house and working in the family fish market. From that foundation, Tony's world of possibilities opens up beyond any of his wildest dreams. Tony is a builder. This episode is about trust over fear and a little gravel tossed in the mud along the way. One of the teachers of the law came and... asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

Wayland has dedicated his life to helping at-risk youth, standing in the gap as the “good guy”, and inspiring others to add value to the people around them. He sums it up this way. “Love is an action, not a feeling. It is proven by what you do, not by what you say.”
Love is more than I love you. It's an action word.
