Why do some people seem to win again and again while others stay stuck, frustrated, and confused? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach revisit one of the most important concepts they have ever taught: principles. This conversation is about understanding the hidden forces that govern outcomes in life, business, relationships, health, leadership, and spiritual growth. For Christian men who want to live with purpose and faith, learning how principles work is essential.Garrett explains that God created an orderly world. Life is not random. Outcomes are governed by principles. Just like gravity, lift, thrust, weight, and drag determine whether a plane can fly, there are principles that determine whether your marriage grows, your business works, your health improves, your leadership develops, and your relationships become fruitful.Nick uses the story of Mookie Betts breaking out of a playoff slump to show how principles work in real life. When Mookie was not getting the results he wanted, he did not collapse emotionally or assume he had lost his ability. He went back to the cage, took hundreds of reps, worked with his coach, studied the feedback, and found the mechanical principle he was missing. Once he corrected it, the results changed. That is the power of a principles mindset. Instead of taking failure personally, you begin asking better questions. What am I missing? What principle am I violating? What pattern is showing up? What can I adjust? This mindset gives men confidence because it reminds them that there is always an answer to discover.Garrett defines principles as the forces that govern outcomes. They do not guarantee that everything will always go perfectly, because God is sovereign and life still includes uncontrollable variables. But principles allow you to use what you can control to influence what you cannot control. When you understand principles, you can become so good with the controllables that success becomes far more likely. This episode also explains why principles give men certainty and confidence. When you know that the world is governed by order, you stop living like every setback is random. You stop blaming God, blaming people, or blaming circumstances. Instead, you learn how to observe, adjust, and keep moving forward in faith.Nick and Garrett also unpack what makes principles hard to discover. Negative emotions, anger, frustration, fear, and a lack of identity can all blind men to the answer. Garrett says that when you are angry, you are often the dumbest version of yourself because you stop gathering data and start taking the outcome personally. When you take things personally, you miss the opportunity to grow. The solution is observation, pattern recognition, and consistency. Principles hide in patterns. You discover them by paying attention over time, repeating the right actions, and removing variables until you can see what is actually producing the outcome. Garrett summarizes it with a simple formula: principles + consistency = results. The episode then applies this framework to relationships. A great relationship is one where both people are better together than they are apart. Whether in marriage, friendship, brotherhood, business, or ministry, the same truth applies: healthy relationships are built on principles. They do not become great by accident. For Christian men who want strong faith, clear purpose, and better results in every area of life, this episode is a call to stop living emotionally and start living principally. God is not random. His world is not random. Your results are not random. If you are stuck, there is a principle you have not yet discovered. If you are frustrated, there is a pattern you need to observe. If you are inconsistent, you may hit the result once, but you will not know how to reproduce it. But when you understand principles, stay consistent, and trust that God created an orderly world, you become the kind of man who can figure things out. You stop hoping life works. You learn how it works.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
What if motivation was not something you waited for, but something you learned how to create? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach break down how Christian men can live motivated every day by connecting their actions to purpose, faith, and what matters most. This is not about chasing hype, waiting for the right feeling, or depending on motivational videos to get moving. It is about learning how to generate motivation from the inside out.Garrett explains that motivation is a form of energy. Just like physical energy can be built through better habits, better food, better sleep, and better training, motivation can also be built through the way you think, focus, and attach meaning to your day. The goal is not to feel excited once in a while. The goal is to become the kind of man who knows how to bring energy and meaning to every moment. The key tool in this episode is what Garrett calls “zoom in, zoom out.” It is the ability to intentionally shift your perspective. Sometimes you need to zoom in and focus completely on the moment in front of you. Other times, you need to zoom out and remember the bigger story, the bigger mission, and the bigger reason today matters. This matters because most men live by default. They zoom in on the pain, the frustration, the tiredness, the bad meeting, the hard workout, the annoying task, or the thing they do not feel like doing. But when a man learns to zoom out, he can reconnect that moment to his calling, his family, his future, his faith, and the purpose God has placed on his life.Nick and Garrett explain that the first step to living motivated every day is connecting every day to what matters most. If you do not know what matters most, you will struggle to stay motivated. But when you know your purpose, even small things begin to carry meaning. A workout matters. A hard conversation matters. Bookkeeping matters. Showing up for your family matters. What looks small becomes significant when it is connected to the bigger mission. The second step is generating momentum. Motivation grows when you attach meaning to the next right action. Garrett shares how even something as simple as doing pushups in the morning can become a declaration that the day matters. Momentum starts small, but it builds quickly when you stop saying “it's not a big deal” and start treating your choices like they are shaping your future. The third step is defending your momentum. Once you build momentum in your faith, marriage, fitness, business, or leadership, you have to protect it. Too many men waste years stopping and starting. But when you understand how costly it is to lose momentum, you become far more serious about guarding your focus, energy, and direction. This episode is a practical call for Christian men who want to stop drifting and start living with daily purpose. Motivation is not random. It is not emotional weather. It is a skill you can build by choosing your focus, connecting your actions to meaning, and taking the next step with intention. If you want to grow in faith, walk with purpose, and become the man God created you to be, you cannot wait until you feel motivated. You have to learn how to create it. Because today matters.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereGet a Free 7 Day Trial On The Tailored Training App By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereLevel up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
What does it mean to be the one? In this episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach unpack one of the most powerful ideas for Christian men who want to live with faith, walk in purpose, and change the story of their family: becoming the one who breaks the pattern.Using The Matrix as a powerful illustration, Garrett explains how Neo's story points to a deeper biblical truth: most people are living inside patterns they never chose, accepting a reality that keeps them stuck, passive, and in bondage. But when a man wakes up to the truth of Jesus Christ, he is confronted with a decision. Will he keep living the way he always has, or will he become the one who breaks the pattern? This episode is not about being the savior. Jesus is the One who saves. But Christian men are called to represent Him on the earth. That means stepping into courage, taking responsibility, and refusing to pass brokenness, fear, addiction, divorce, anger, passivity, or trauma to the next generation.Nick and Garrett talk through what it looks like to become a pattern breaker in real life. Maybe your family has a history of divorce. Maybe addiction has been normalized. Maybe anger, anxiety, poverty thinking, passivity, or victimhood has been passed down for generations. At some point, one man has to stand up and say, “It stops with me.” That is what it means to be the one. This conversation challenges Christian men to stop living as victims of what happened before them and start living as men of faith who believe God has placed them on the earth for a reason. Your life has purpose. Your family has purpose. Your name can mean something different for the next generation. The episode explores biblical examples of people who became “the one” in their generation, including Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Ruth, Paul, Peter, John the Baptist, David, Joseph, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Each of them broke a pattern, stepped out in courage, and made a way for others. Nick also shares personally about deciding to change what the Surface family name would mean. Instead of accepting a legacy marked by suicide, divorce, and addiction, he made the decision to build something different for his children and future generations. Garrett connects this to the idea that every man has a role to play in God's story not as the hero replacing Christ, but as a son representing the Father. This episode will challenge you to ask: Where do I need to be the one? Where do I need to stop making excuses?Where do I need to break a pattern?Where do I need to step into courage?Where do I need to live by faith instead of fear?Where do I need to take responsibility for the purpose God has given me?Because your life is not random. You were made for a purpose. And if you are a Christian man, there are people on the other side of your obedience. Be the one who wakes up. Be the one who breaks the pattern. Be the one who changes the story.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
What does it actually mean to follow God? Not casually. Not halfway. But fully… as a true disciple. In this powerful episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach break down the reality that most Christian men are living with partial surrender and missing the life God actually called them to.The truth is, discipleship isn't about believing in God… it's about being all in. Jesus didn't say “love God a lot.” He said love Him with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. That's not a suggestion. That's the standard. The Problem Most Christian Men Face Many Christian men:Believe in GodRead the Bible occasionallyTry to live the right way…but still feel stuck, inconsistent, or disconnected from their purpose. Why? Because they're giving effort—but not everything. And according to Scripture, partial surrender produces partial results. This episode breaks down what true discipleship looks like across three areas: Heart, Soul, and Mind.In This Episode, You'll Learn:Why most Christian men never fully step into their purposeThe difference between belief and true discipleshipWhy “being a good man” isn't enoughHow distraction is silently destroying your faithWhat it means to give God everything—not just part of your lifeWhy God isn't looking for perfection—but full surrenderHow to stop holding back and start following God fullyIf you're a Christian man who's ready to stop living halfway and start following God fully… this episode will challenge everything and change everything.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Why do so many Christian men struggle to walk in their purpose? It's not because they don't care. It's not because they don't believe. It's because they're skipping the basics. In this powerful episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach break down the three daily disciplines that every Christian must follow to grow in faith and step into their God-given purpose. This isn't complicated, but it is demanding. Just like elite athletes and special forces units master the fundamentals, Christian men must master the basics of their faith daily if they want to live at a high level. The 3 Daily Musts for Christian MenSubmit to God - Purpose begins with surrender. If you're not aligned with God's will, you're building your life on the wrong mission. Daily submission puts you under God's order and positions you to walk in clarity, confidence, and direction.Seek His Face - This is about relationship not religion. Through prayer, worship, and reading the Bible, Christian men grow in understanding who God is and align their desires with His. This is where faith is built and purpose becomes clear.Lead Yourself - You can't live with purpose if you don't lead yourself. Discipline, vision, and intentional living are required to become the man God created you to be. Without self-leadership, you drift. With it, you grow.In This Episode, You'll Learn:Why mastering the basics is the key to unlocking purposeHow daily habits shape the life of a Christian manWhy submission to God creates clarity and confidenceThe difference between knowing about God and actually knowing HimHow to build discipline without burnoutWhy self-leadership is essential for spiritual growthHow to stop drifting and start living intentionallyThis episode is a direct challenge to Christian men: Stop looking for a breakthrough…and start mastering the basics. Because your purpose isn't found in a moment. It's built daily. And the men who commit to these disciplines are the ones who step into everything God has for them.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Why do so many Christian men struggle in marriage even when they love their wives? In this direct and practical episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach break down the non-negotiables of a Godly marriage and why most men are missing them. This isn't theory. This is about principles which are the repeatable forces that govern outcomes whether you're aware of them or not.If your marriage isn't where it should be, it's not random. It's the result of what you are or aren't doing consistently. In this episode, they unpack three core pillars every Christian man must lead in to build a thriving, Godly marriage:1. Trust — Keep Your Word. If you don't do what you say, your word loses value. And when your word loses value, your wife loses trust and respect follows. Strong marriages are built on consistent integrity, not occasional effort.2. Intimacy — Date Your Wife. Most men stop pursuing their wife after they marry her. That's where the breakdown begins. If you don't intentionally create time, attention, and connection, your marriage slowly shifts into co-existing instead of thriving. Christian men don't stop pursuing, they lead in it.3. Leadership — Have a Plan. A Godly marriage isn't just about being happy, it's about building something together. Without vision, your relationship drifts. With purpose, your marriage grows stronger. Leadership means knowing where your family is going and leading them there. In This Episode, You'll Learn:Why principles not feelings determine your marriage outcomesHow lack of discipline quietly destroys marriagesWhy keeping your word builds respect and trustHow to practically date your wife (even with kids and a busy life)Why many Christian men unintentionally become passive in marriageHow purpose and leadership transform a relationshipThe danger of becoming roommates instead of partnersThis episode is a wake-up call for Christian men who want a Godly marriage built on faith, discipline, and purpose. Because great marriages don't happen by accident. They're built by men who lead. And if you don't lead your marriage intentionally, you will drift into something you never intended.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
What can Christian men learn from Navy SEALs? In this powerful episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, former Navy SEAL Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface unpack the lessons Garrett learned from the SEAL Teams — and why many of those principles apply directly to faith, purpose, and Christian leadership.Garrett shares how serving alongside some of the most disciplined and mission-focused individuals in the world challenged his perspective on what it means to live with purpose and pursue faith seriously. While the SEAL Teams are not a Christian organization, Garrett discovered that many of the principles that create elite warriors mirror biblical truths about Christian men, leadership, and discipleship. This episode explores four major lessons Christian men can learn from Navy SEAL culture:A Mission-Focused Mindset - Navy SEALs don't need motivation — they're already committed to the mission. In contrast, many Christians struggle with consistency despite having the greatest mission in the world. This episode challenges Christian men to live with greater urgency and purpose.Standards and Obedience - Elite teams operate with strict standards and accountability. Garrett explains why faith requires discipline, and how obedience to God's Word produces real fruit in leadership and life.3. Discipleship Through Mission - SEAL Teams build deep relationships through shared purpose. Similarly, Christian men are called to disciple others and pursue growth together — not just friendship, but transformation.4. Church as a Training Center - Garrett challenges the idea of church as a “country club” and calls for a return to equipping Christian men for impact, leadership, and advancing God's kingdom. This episode is a powerful call for Christian men to:Develop stronger faithLive with greater purposeEmbrace leadershipRaise their standardsTrain for impactBecause when faith meets purpose, and Christian men embrace disciplined leadership, the impact can change families, communities, and the world. This is more than a conversation about Navy SEALs. It's a call for Christian men to step into their faith, their purpose, and the leadership God designed them for.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life
Why does God allow war in our lives? In this powerful episode of The Impossible Life Podcast, Nick Surface and Garrett Unclebach unpack a hard but essential truth: Christian men are not called to comfort — they are called to war. Not physical war, but the daily battle against passivity, sin, and the forces that pull men away from their faith, purpose, and leadership calling. Many Christians expect faith to make life easier. But Scripture paints a different picture. From the Israelites being trained in warfare to David declaring that God "trains my hands for war," the Bible consistently shows that God uses battle to refine, strengthen, and prepare His people.Nick and Garrett break down why war is necessary for Christian men:War refines your characterWar strengthens your faithWar develops leadershipWar prepares you for purposeWar teaches dependence on GodThey also discuss the real danger facing men today: passivity. Passivity is the quiet compromise that allows sin, weakness, and poor leadership to take hold. Instead of confronting challenges, many men hope problems will disappear — but that passivity only leads to greater battles later. This episode challenges Christian men to:Stop expecting comfortEmbrace struggle as growthFight sin aggressivelyDevelop leadership through adversityWalk boldly in faith and purposeBecause the truth is — great Christian men are not built in comfort. They are built in war. And when you understand that God is using the battle to refine you, strengthen you, and prepare you, you stop running from the fight and start stepping into your purpose. This episode is a powerful call for Christian men to grow in faith, leadership, and purpose — and to embrace the war that shapes them into the men God created them to be.Get With NuWave Home Lenders By Clicking HereJoin a group of likeminded Impossible Life listeners in our FREE Skool community by clicking here.Get the Purpose Playbook by clicking hereGet the FREE Basic Discipline Training 30 Day Program by clicking hereJoin us in Mindset Mastery by clicking hereIf you're a man that wants real accountability and training to be a leader, click here.Level up your nutrition with IDLife by clicking hereGET IN TOUCHSocial Media - @theimpossiblelifeEmail - info@theimpossible.life

In today's episode of Worldview Legacy Today, Joel Settecase issues a rallying cry to Christian men: become the dangerous, wise, and biblical leaders your families and churches need.We begin with a bold vision for the Hammer & Anvil Society—a discipleship brotherhood equipping Christian men to sharpen their minds, deepen their theology, and step up as spiritual leaders. Joel then walks through Proverbs 1, calling men to pursue wisdom rooted in the fear of the Lord. From there, we zoom out to the global persecution of Christians, especially in Nigeria, where 1,200 churches are destroyed annually. Joel brings both scripture and clarity to the topic of persecution, and explains why Christians must not only pray for the persecuted—but also for the persecutors. You'll also hear Joel's real-world evangelism story from the sauna at his gym, as he shares a powerful encounter that included a challenge to Christian hypocrisy and a rebuttal of the myth that Christianity has caused the most deaths in history. Finally, we tackle the metaphysical foundations of the Christian worldview—unity and diversity in the Trinity—and why only biblical Christianity can solve the “problem of the one and the many.”

Optaget hos AAB i Aarhus. "We're just two dudes trying to figure it out" is a great way to describe the conversation Christian has with his new friend, Luke Albritton. Their wives introduced them, and they've gotten to know each other best through regular meetups at the gym, working out together, sharing prayer requests, and using the time to talk though wins and losses. Luke gets honest about how difficult it was to become a husband, learning how to serve his wife well, and how the transition to being a new dad has been a blessing, but a difficult blessing. Luke says he's always been active, from working as a boy on his family's farm to lifting weights in high school. He confesses that his "I can outwork anyone in the room" mentality that he was brought up with became a selfish, prideful desire about his own abilities and comparing himself to others and how he still strives to overcome that. Both Christian and Luke lament their sinful desires to sometimes just NOT be kind and loving, but they're doubly grateful for someone they can share these things with, and that's why your accountability person is SO important! https://www.icebarrel.com/christian — I love my Ice Barrel!
Medvirkende: Christian Mejlvang, paramediciner, Falck i Rønne.
