We are in the midst of an atmospheric shift at our church and many others that have submitted to what God is doing in this season, and this shift has direct impact on you and your family.• God is shifting the atmosphere quickly because the problems in our nation and world are shifting quickly• The shift from religion to relationship requires leaving behind both Pharisee and Sadducee spirits• Pharisees represent religious rigidity and tradition without relationship• Sadducees represent skepticism about miracles, resurrection, and the Holy Spirit's work• Jesus demonstrated this shift in his encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well• True worship happens in both spirit and truth—we need both elements• Many struggle because they "worship what they don't know"—lacking deep knowledge of God• Spiritual authority comes through surrender and Holy Spirit empowerment• This shift will make us more effective at reaching others and addressing challenges• God is raising up believers who can operate with spiritual discernment, healing, and powerThe Lord is saying that the time is coming, and is now, when those who worship will worship in spirit and in truth. Draw near to Him and He will draw near to you. Welcome To Chosen City Church! 1 John 2:27 // As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him. We carry and cultivate the anointing. How much of the presence of God do I carry in my life? Do we lean on our ability or His? Exodus 28:2 // Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor. Dignity and Honor are things you put on. Exodus 28:36-37 // Make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it as on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD. Fasten a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban; it is to be on the front of the turban. The first thing the priest put on was a gold turban – a crown with a huge gold plate on it written “Set apart holy unto the Lord” 1. The Crown of Holiness over my Mind. Integrity 3 TYPES OF MAN: Natural man – one without God Spiritual man – thinks about God Carnal man – mixture between the two “Holy to the Lord” My thoughts have to be holy To make a difference, we have to be different. Exodus 28:29-30 // Whenever Aaron enters the Holy Place, he will bear the names of the sons of Israel over his heart on the breastpiece of decision as a continuing memorial before the LORD. 2. The Breastpiece of Relationships over my Heart. You are where you are because of the people in your life We must have a pure heart to carry the anointing Few things affect the anointing in my life more than my feelings about other people. Who do you need to forgive? Exodus 28:39 // Weave the tunic of fine linen and make the turban of fine linen. Breathes 3. The Undergarment of Rest over my Life. Sabbath Exodus 28:31, 33-35 // Make the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth… Make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them. The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe. Aaron must wear it when he ministers. The sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the Lord and when he comes out. 4. The Garment of Praise in my Spirit. Isaiah 61:1-3 // The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. The key to joy is gratitude. Psalm 100:4 // Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

According to Chaplain Devin Sean Moss, death “informs how we live.” The idea of impermanence —the notion that everything is in a constant state of flux— and a “meditation on finitude,” Moss suggests, is a “cheat code of sorts to making deliberate and intentional decisions and forces the hand of what are my values…to know what my core is about.” For most people, the subject and contemplation of death and dying is hardly a source of inpiration. We fill our lives with work, travel, and spending time with friends and family. These are life affirming activities to keep our minds from wandering too far down to our inevitable end. For Devin Moss, confronting death has been both equally a sobering and inspiring journey. As a Humanist Chaplain, Devin Moss forged a year-long bond with Phillip Hancock who was executed by the state of Oklahoma for a double murder. Moss’s experience was chronicled by the New York Times and the subject of an earlier Life Examined. More: Facing death without God: Spiritual care in the final hours of a death row inmate Today, Moss writes and hosts the podcast The Adventures of Memento Mori in which he explores the science, mysticism, culture, and mystery of death. Moss regularly grapples with his own mortality and says its a mistake for our culture to shy away from the topic - “the inability to talk about it on a societal level has very harmful byproducts.” Moss suggests that the message society perpetuates is that there is a misunderstanding of what it means to be finite, and that “everything is limitless.” And when it comes to death itself, Moss urges listeners not to be deterred by fear or not knowing what to do or say. “Just be okay with the unknown and do all that you can do to make it about the other person, to heck with being good at it or knowing what you're doing.” For Moss, it’ss “the ability, not what I can learn from this person as they pass, but more like, how can I ensure that their passing is maintained as a sacred act within a sacred space.” Delve deeper into life, philosophy, and what makes us human by joining the Life Examined discussion group on Facebook.
This is the twelfth installment in Eric's series entitled Spiritual Lessons from the Time of Nero. In this episode he puts out on the table his most important puzzle piece for the series. It's the puzzle piece that most clearly demonstrates his goal in putting this all together and the one that has given him passion to actually systematically address all these awkward and difficult matters pertaining to the End. It's all summed up in what he describes as the Principle of the Here-and-Now.

Devin Sean Moss, humanist chaplain, writer, and host of The Adventures of Memento Mori podcast, discusses belief, prayer, and his role as a chaplain providing spiritual care. Throughout 2023, Moss provided support and counseling to Phillip Hancock , a death row inmate, before and during his execution by the State of Oklahoma. Moss reflects on his interactions with Hancock, delving into the significance of compassion, prayer, and the unique challenges posed by Hancock's explicit rejection of the Christian faith. “He was a fascinating human, incredibly smart,” says Moss. “He had the Bible practically memorized and I think he struggled with faith. I really do believe that he wanted to believe, but knowing what he had gone through his entire life, I can completely see why one in his position would not believe.”
Nate and Matt continue talking about the idea of soul strength, and how our spiritual disciplines of being intentional with God is a way to strengthen our soul.
Thank you for catching up with us! This audio is of the sermon on "This Is War: Preparing for Battle" **Summary:** Pastor Roberto Chaple's sermon titled "Preparing for Battle" emphasizes the spiritual warfare that occurs both within and around us. He highlights the importance of being alert to spiritual forces, taking up spiritual weapons, and considering the spiritual implications of our decisions and words. The sermon draws from Ephesians 6:12, emphasizing that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against dark spiritual powers. Pastor Chaple traces this battle back to the ancient conflict between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan, emphasizing that every individual is involved, and there are no neutrals in this war. The sermon underscores the battlefield as the mind, emphasizing the need to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. Pastor Chaple identifies Doubt, Deceit, and Disobedience as harmful spiritual weapons, contrasting them with faith, truth, and obedience. He advocates for preparing for this battle by putting on the full armor of God, each piece carrying spiritual significance. The sermon concludes with a call to assess our spiritual posture and ensure we are fully equipped for the ongoing spiritual battle. **Keywords:** - Spiritual warfare - Ephesians 6:12 - Kingdom of God - Kingdom of Satan - Rebellion of angels - Mind as command center - Doubt, Deceit, Disobedience - Armor of God - Belt of truth - Breastplate of righteousness - Shoes of gospel of peace - Shield of faith - Helmet of salvation - Sword of the Spirit - Spiritual posture - Stand firm - Full armor of God - Spiritual readiness - Evangelism - Church as a spiritual army - Memorization of Scripture - Spiritual preparation If you'd like to watch our full worship experience live, visit our Online Campus, go to findnewhope.online.church We're live Sundays at 9:00 am EST for our Traditional Service, at 11:00 am EST for our Modern service. Continuing on the topic of spiritual warfare, Apostle Frederick Kaluluma teaches the believers using the example of Joshua and Caleb ,how to possess the promises and blessings that God has in store for them, teaching that one must learn to communicate in alignment with His (God's) Word. He also emphasized the importance of leaders in carefully choosing their words when guiding the congregations. Finally, drawing inspiration from revelation and the amazing encounter between David and Goliath, we witness how battles are first fought in the spiritual realm through words. David, a mighty talker who spoke like God, exemplifies the power of our words in overcoming giants. Apostle Frederick Kaluluma also provides practical guidance on how to actually talk like God. In this episode, Glenn and I talk about the brave pivot he took in a few areas in life to find more happiness. This is an episode I think so many will be able to relate to. Glenn took a hard and honest look at his long-time career as a gym owner and youth performance coach, he asked, is this still fulfilling me? Am I excited to get up in the morning to go to work? The answer was "not anymore"... So one decision after the other he made the pivot to become a health coach, where he helps busy parents find fitness, health, happiness, and that winning feeling again. He now bounces out of bed in the morning to serve his clients and is very happy coaching in this way now. Another huge topic we get into is his spiritual journey. Glenn has always had a bright energy and a big spirit and last year something else began knocking at his door to discover. He went from having so many questions about spirit, chakras, and god, to manifesting a beautiful community where they showed him a way and welcomed him with open arms. So we get into this story and how he operates now having discovered and connected to god. Here are some ways that you can connect with Glenn and get some of his free content to see what he is about. In our series, The Word of God, we have been looking into the importance of getting back to reading our Bibles again. We have seen that the word of God is likened unto many things to show us the side effects of not having that daily relationship with the Word. We saw it is likened unto food, water, air, love among other things and today, Spiritual sight. How long can one be expected to make it without eating, drinking, breathing or seeing? You will never be able to understand the Bible if you simply look at it with natural sight. Spiritul blindess is robbing us from understadning. Lets talk about it.

What does it mean to be a highly sensitive person especially in today's world of learning to shift our paradigms. In today's episode we have the special honor of having ZofiaRennea Morales, former biophysicist, on with us to dive deep on highly sensitive people, shifting paradigms about God and her spiritual awakening stories. This was a beautiful conversation of transformation from strictly scientist to transformation alchemist and teacher. Listen along so you can learn: What is a highly sensitive person What do highly sensitive people struggle with How to know your an empath How to unlock your gifts as a highly sensitive person And so much more! Zofia has such a beautiful way of breaking down how to listen to our intuitive voice and how to really practice discernment in our everyday lives. When following your intuitive voice, it's important to have curiosity because it allows our critical mind to disengage so it can become the observer. Desperate for a miracle, Zofia cried her most heartfelt prayer "I will do anything to get better." This single prayer triggered an unanticipated kundalini awakening; a spiritual activation that unlocked Zofia's gifts as an intuitive, healer, and mystic changing her life completely. Now she's a transformation alchemist and teacher, the host of the talk radio program Sovereign Self and the creator of the Conscious Enlightenment Process.
