This week we look at what it means to live in Christ. We explore Paul's current circumstances under house arrest and his ability to turn opposition to the Gospel into opportunities for the Gospel. We learn that the Christian faith is not like any other religion that can simply be picked or put down like some modern lifestyle choice. Living for Christ has massive repercussions, not only on the lives of those who believe, but also on those who are yet to embrace the truth of the Gospel. We will understand that far from being tolerated, the world is so diametrically opposed to the Gospel, that it will go to great lengths to suppress it. But in doing so, what the world intended for evil, God will use for good. Come and learn how having the joy of Christ in your life, can rescue you from chains of this world.
We discuss what it means to live on mission, discover your spiritual gifts, and make an eternal difference in your everyday life. Whether you're a new believer or seasoned in your faith, learn practical steps to serve and grow in your walk with God.

Listen Now to 62 Future Now Podcast A promising future lies in potential symbiotic relationships between our tech and nature. A example of theat lies with the use of algae in the generation of energy from solar panels. And…how might the climate change gas of methane be actually useful in making things better for us and our planet? This week, the Planetary Society’s latest Solar Sail spacecraft is now in orbit, and if successful, could pave the way for easy and cheap travel to other planets..slow but steady.. We were inspired by Nina Paley’s review of the new Dune 2 movie and had to share some quotes with you. And while on the movie front, Mrs. Future had some profound things to say about the Netflix documenatry, “The Antisocial Network,” about the history of 4chan and how it led to the QAnon conspiracy theory and the January 6th riots. Nothing to think about there :-) . We also discuss some of the big future predictions of venture capitalist Vinod Khosla, such as how expertise will soon be free and we’ll all use AI agents for getting information. And there are our initial experiments to see how the AI’s can make $$ for us, including the use of humor. Also this week we enlisted the free ‘expertise’ of coffee entrepreneur Gabrielle Cianfrani in evaluating AI’s foray into coffee blending, and it’s somewhat atypical choices. Enjoy! AI creates a new kind of coffee blend that is very tasty
Galen ended this week's sermon with the idea that "Living things grow, and growing things change." We'll talk about how this affected the early church, modern church, and the call to action on Acts 6 for each of us.

From Jesus in ACIM WB lesson 24: “In no situation that arises do you realize the outcome that would make you happy. Therefore, you have no guide to appropriate action, and no way of judging the result. What you do is determined by your perception of the situation, and that perception is wrong. It is inevitable, then, that you will not serve your own best interests. Yet they are your only goal in any situation which is correctly perceived. Otherwise, you will not recognize what they are. If you realized that you do not perceive your own best interests, you could be taught what they are. But in the presence of your conviction that you do know what they are, you cannot learn. The idea for today is a step toward opening your mind so that learning can begin. W-24.1:1-2:3

Tim Akimoff and Beth Quillian teamed up with Ashley Sanchez and Aaron Keller, hosts of The Nevada Wild Podcast at the 6th Annual Human-Bear Conflict Workshop in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada. We take you on a journey around North America to look at solutions to human-caused problems for bears in places like Arviat in Nunavut where the mayor, Joe Savikataaq Jr., talks about efforts to reduce polar bear conflicts by redirecting bears away from town as they wait for sea ice to form each year. We also talked to Chris Servheen, retired USFW national grizzly bear recovery coordinator, about how work to reduce conflicts between humans and bears is going and finally to Mexico with Dr. Diana Doan-Crider, Executive Director at Animo Partnership in Natural Resources, who talked about incorporating indigenous knowledge into black bear management in northern Mexico.
